We've been coming to Flanders Bagels for several years and have enjoyed our experience until yesterday. Although the food was fine, the service was not. The woman at the cash register called my number and when I went to the counter, she wanted my ticket. I told her I left it on the table. She refused to give me my order until I returned with the ticket, which I did. Next, my wife asked her for a refill of coffee. The woman refused. Chester Bagel has a self-serve coffee dispenser so customers can get free refills. Marilyn's Cafe and Chester Diner servers come to our table and refill our coffee. I think it is totally inappropriate and rude to treat customers in the manner which we were treated. We will gladly take our business elsewhere. We deserved better after spending high prices but get low service. read more

I like the bagels here. Whatever I get from here always comes out great. They are efficient isn't at taking orders and getting people served in a quick manner. read more

3rd time in a row I have called during working hours multiple times only to have no one answer. Completely unprofessional. Going to start using another bagel place from now on. Other costumers have complained about this numerous times, only to be fed excuses as they do nothing to improve their service. It's laughable. (And no, they're not busy. It's 2pm on Sunday. My go-to for bagel sandwiches in the area. It can get really busy during the morning rush, so plan on waiting a few minutes or consider ordering ahead. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. Continuing on my journey of visiting NJ bagel shops, I dined at Flanders Bagels for a late breakfast today. Since I had it bookmarked for quite a while, I was really glad to get there. I was really impressed! I ordered Taylor ham, egg, and cheese, on an everything bagel, with a large coffee. The sandwich was excellent! The Taylor ham was cooked perfectly! They pour your coffee for you, which I always like as well. Plenty of seating here. Big parking lot. Reasonable prices. The woman serving me was friendly as well! read more

Used to be our number one bagel place. Still good and better than others but switched to Java Joes on route 10 by Eyland. Bagels good here but Java Joes slightly better and bigger. These are the 2 best bagel places around. Between them they cover all the recipes for any bagel you might want. read more

This little bagel shop is a hidden gem! I've used to go here when I was growing up in this area back in high school almost 15 years ago. Stopped by while visiting the area this weekend and it's just as amazing as I remember it! Tons of sandwich options, ordered my classic favorite, the Howard stern, which was exactly as I remember it back in the day. Kuddos to Flanders Bagels for stepping it up and using foil/paper wrapping for their sandwiches - no more soggy bread when you order to go. Flanders Bagels has some of the BEST bagels in the area, and their shop is organized with placing orders, and checking out. Food is always fresh, and they keep the store very clean. My fiancé and I drive 20 minutes here every weekend for their bagels. It's become a weekly staple in our home!! It's so hard to choose a favorite but the Taylor ham is great, and we also love the egg bagels. Jalapeño cream cheese is a must try. And of course, the star of the show is the amaretto iced coffee. Yummm! We stopped here after moving to the area in search of out new "spot" for weekend bagels/breakfast. The store is very spacious inside with plenty of seating. The bagels were delicious and fresh! They also had great selections for flavored cream cheese. The lunch menu looked great. Will definitely have to stop in to try that as well! Food is just ok, ordered A Roll with Eggs and Cheese and Turkey and what can we say, just a roll. The customer service is terrible, the lady who took my order was on a rush, then the cashier have Zero Customer service towards the clients and a very bad way of talking to fellow employees. How hard is it? I ordered a hummus wrap that was described as having lettuce, tomato and cucumber on it. When I got to work (30 miles away) I opened it up to find NO hummus and NO tomato. REALLY???? You still charged me for a hummus wrap and what I got was a wrap with only lettuce and cucumbers. Don't trust that this place will make what you ask for. Check your order before you pay and leave. I am biased by the fact that i have gone here since i was in highschool (about 7 or 8 years) and i have not been back lately, but when i am in the area on weekends I do try to get over there.
