I really liked the Legoland Discovery Center. It is a good place to spend 2 - 3 hours with your kids. I was a little surprised by the size of it as I was expecting it to be bigger, but it had a lot of fun things for kids - a ride that uses lasers to shoot things, a laser maze, three different 15 minute 4D movies, a jungle gym/play area only for kids, a creative center with classes that teach you how to build something for the day, a mini land with replica sites from around the Bay Area. I really wish there was some kind of outdoor area as it would have made eating for us easier as we still aren't comfortable removing our masks inside. Most guests when we visited on a Friday afternoon wore masks as did all of the staff we saw which made us feel safer. We drove 40 minutes to visit and hope to return at least every couple of months as our kids had a lot of fun. read more

Took my kids age 5 and 3 and we spent about 4 hrs and they both had fun. It's a nice thing that they are limiting capacity so it wasn't crowded with a lot of seating. The 4d lego movies was our favorite we watched all 3 movies and they are pretty good. The food was ok , I would say it's not that expensive. The coffee are Starbucks so the prices are pretty reasonable. The only thing I didn't like was how in the pirate playground it says on the rules you have to take your shoes off but the employee said you don't have to which of course makes the playground not that clean. But overall , I recommend going here. We originally planned to go Six Flags since we're members but I heard its not a good time to go there at the moment. This place is AMAZING! It is the perfect place to bring your under 10y/o kids for some interactive play and indoor fun. Yes, there are LEGOS. Lots and lots of LEGOS to play and build and race! But there is also a really cool play structure to climb and interact with (Pirate ship), a cute little amusement-park style train ride where you get to shoot lasers out of a star wand (who doesn't want to do that??), another really fun laser room where you get to act like Mission Impossible and get across a room without touching laser beams ... it is so much more than just LEGO bricks. We took our homeschool group there for an educational field trip and we also had a wonderful experience with a learning workshop. Our group had a wide range of ages and abilities, but the workshop leader Lester was very skilled at engaging with each student and keeping the workshop on task. All of the employees were AMAZING and could not have been more thoughtful and accommodating to our group. We will DEFINITELY be back. If you are considering planning a field trip there, I highly recommend it! Whether you are with a traditional school or homeschool, you will be welcomed and treated very well. Boring. My family and I had been wanting to visit here since it opened. Our children were so excited!! Fast forward to us pulling up, there's a big huge Lego'd Giraffe outside, pretty cool. The center is located inside the mall, we noticed what looks to be a train ride which may go around the center. We enter in, scanned our tickets I purchased another Activity pack for my son bc the cashier mentioned that if the children collected all stamps they would be able to receive a reward from the Lego Store. But we didn't even stay long enough to enjoy that amenity. Bunch of Lego build stands throughout the center. The MiniLand attraction was cool, although one of the statues were down. We got on the train ride it was very short, but you could play interactively with the wands as the train moved. We skipped the 4D movie and Laser Crawl or whatever. The played at the playground for a bit but it was very crowded. Didn't eat at the overpriced cafe neither. I mean, I guess if you're an actual Lego fan and actually play with Lego's, you'd have a lot of fun and enjoy the experience. My kids got bored quick after the train ride, we stayed about 45 minutes max. Maybe even 50 but I'm certain we weren't there for a full hour. Overpriced and overhyped. read more

My son had a blast in the Ninja Laser room! That was the true highlight of his day, mine was the San Francisco Bay Bridge made completely out of Legos. Had many Lego stations but closer to 2pm on Saturday it started to feel a bit overcrowded so we left. read more

We spent 6 hours here! While it's a discovery center, the kids had just as much fun! We did everything about 6 times, but they loved it. Especially the VR, the 4d movie with water and other special effects. Kids also loved the little Lego ride where you popped bubbles with a wand. read more

So it was cool that a Legoland was built close to me, being from Sacramento. My wife got tickets for Saturday so we both can go check it out. We were excited and drove 2 hours away with traffic. Got there early so was able to walk around the mall. And we got a snack before our reserved time. And it was time to go in, there was a small ride in the window that probably goes around legoland, looked cool. As we got to the counter to check in, they scanned our tickets and about to go in. But then the worker asked if it was just us 2. We said yeah, then the worker said that we cannot go in without a kid. ARE YOU FREAKIN SERIOUS!!!!. My wife looked like she was about to jump over the counter and slap a b***h. So they were working on our refund and my wife asked does the Legoland in South Cali for kids only to get access, and the worker said no, its all ages. Then why the HELL is yours age limited? The worker said that it says kids needed to enter on their website. Where? In the fine print at the bottom of the page? But then she said that on Sept 9 after hours they are hosting something for adults only. We will come back? Not sure. So with our hearts broken we went next door to the Lego store. So we bought ourselves something and walked around the mall to do other shopping. read more

This review is strictly for the folks that worked on 1/2/23 at 1:39 pm. I wish management sees this review and trains their employees for etiquette in the workplace! I lost a hand sanitizer spray and was looking for it around the store. It must have only been a minute or two after I started looking I heard the female employee say "eww, it smells like sunscreen I don't like it." The staff at the register were spraying it as if it belonged to them. First of all, it had only been a few minutes, why in the world would anyone be using anything that does not belong to them!? Shouldn't there be a lost and found kind of bin? Since this is connected to an actual "play center" where kids lose their stuff all the time? And when I told them that the item is mine, only the male that was outside of the register apologized; however, he keeps emphasizing that "we found it on the floor". Excuse me!? That does not justify your actions! This is a minute or two after I lost it. They did not wait for someone to come looking for it. That is just rude! read more

Just came across this guy who's the store manager and he is unprofessional and ride. I was asking why the price in there store is more expensive than a regular LEGO store and online. Then he start raising his voice and telling his one of the employee and me that their price are not the same. I don't really recommend to buy their products. This place was a lot of fun for our daughters, ages 7.5 and 5.5 years old. We spent almost 4 hours at Legoland Discovery Center. Our favorite was the 4D movies (we watched all 3). Us parents really enjoyed the mini-land of Bay Area landmarks. The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Chase Center, Levi's Stadium, Oracle Park, Stanford, UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), the Apple spaceship campus, Pier 39, Painted Ladies, Winchester Mystery House, and Sales Force tower were all there. Our kids took part in the Creativity Workshop and built Legos with other kids and an instructor. There's one ride and a laser maze. They also spent a lot of time on the pirate adventure island play structure. They are already asking to go back! read more

I think this place was great. It's pricey for the amount and activities offered. I think 2 hours is good enough to be there. The employees in the cafe was very carefree about customers and the area being their. I think there could be more effort in taking care of the customers first instead of talking to each other and taking their time with the food. It would also be nice if they could announce the order number when their food is ready. My son and nephew had a blast because the play structure and the way the lighting was. Overall it was an okay experience for the adults but as long as my son was happy we are happy. read more

first time here. booked for monday at 11am so that it wouldn't be too crowded and lines would be short. i admit my expectations were higher as i read a lot of the good reviews before going. place is much smaller than i had imagined. place is filled with lego structures with a few electronic switches that would make structures shake, move or play basketball/football, etc. some lego structures had lego building stations as well, but there weren't much lego pieces in each and didn't seem like any kids wanted to build anything when we were there. there was also a tall play structure with one slide. the ninja laser maze was very small, i'd say about 6 ft x 10 ft room with green lasers for kids to maneuver through. there was a ride on where kids held laser dot wands to shoot bubbles/fish/stars/ufos. the ride was really short, which is ok, i can't imagine kids would enjoy doing that for very long. i thought the VR experience was very good. you sit in a electric/mechanical chair coupled with VR goggles which did a suprisingly good job of mimicking a roller coaster ride. i wish they would allow for more rides per ticket, but it's $5 per person per ride. and on a monday, really there wasn't any line. the 4d theater was also good i thought. it's basically a 3d video that added water sprinklers/winds and lights. my 6 year old son loves legos and he is already wanting to go back. but i felt like he spent much of the time there in the play structure. we were there for about 3 hours and without the play structure i really don't think he would've been entertained for very long. overall, i think it was ok, definitely glad i didn't get the annual pass. read more
