We had a great time at the Legoland hotel. We purchased the package with 2 nights and 2 days tickets for family of 4 and stayed at the newer pirate hotel. The hotel is great for Lego lovers and tons of bricks to build at the lobby. There are two pools, and entertainments. We enjoyed the shipwrecks restaurant for buffet dinner and breakfast (breakfast included for all stay). You need to make reservation for dinner. The hotel is 100 feet from the entrance of the Legoland park, which saves you time to find parking and so on. The staff are very friendly and you get daily housekeeping. The best part is the treasure in the room and lego bricks and movies, all keep the kids very happy and entertained and parents are happy! read more

Our stay at the resort was amazing! The hotel was exceptionally clean!! The hotel stay was so enjoyable for the kids as every detail was carefully planned out by the legoland team. When we arrived, there was a treasure hunt in the room and the kids received small packs of legos. Then in the evenings they had entertainment for the kids including story time and pj dance parties!! The decor of the hotel was also amazing! Every detail from the beds, lights, to the carpet tied into the pirate theme! It was so much fun! The food at the restaurants was decent (I mean, it's park food) but the waitstaff and chefs were amazing! The provided exceptional service and really helped make our trip amazing! Lastly, the pool was great as it was heated and even had a slide for the kids! My kids had a blast!! I highly recommend staying here with kids! read more

Legoland is so cute! 3-9 yr olds will really enjoy it. Peppa land is small and can be enjoyed in 2-3 hours . During off peak season . We went this February. And stayed at the legoland pirate hotel and did the all inclusive package that included a refillable souvenir cup and lanyards for each guests. If you come from out of state it's worth staying at the resorts everything is walking distance . Rental cars are highly recommended if you want healthier food options to drive to. like salads and more fruits and veggies. Expect burger and fries and chicken strips . Oh also while my stay there they were lacking a cafe ! If you like lattes and herbal teas you won't find it there. So bring your own packets or drive to the nearest Starbucks . Place is garbage. We paid over 300 bucks a night and the theme park closes at 5 pm. So we are stuck at the hotel all night. No where to eat. Restaurants were closed for no reason. Kids had to eat the bar as the empty tables were not available bc we didn't have reservations. The bar was completely full with kids as the parents were trying to find food for little ones. The worst experience from check in to check out. I spent $1300 for a 3 night stay at the Legoland Hotel. Aside from the room everything else was a disaster. Most of the staff was cranky. My kids were so excited to eat at Bricks for dinner we showed up just time find out they were closed because it's not season so they had less staff and less customers. That was never disclosed and very unfair! If you decide to stay open, take my money then you should provide the regular accommodations. The children's pool was closed, again understaffed because "not season" so we decided to head to the main pool to swim and use the slide. What do you know..... the slide was closed because they were "understaffed"!! To top it off after the pool I took my children in the room to shower but there was no hot water. I tracked down someone to fix it and I was told they have less hot water because not enough guests. Who has heard of such a thing!!!!! I would never stay there again even if it was free! They shouldn't have 3 or 4 Legoland hotels open on offseason so everyone visiting could stay in one resort and you can provide all you promise guests. Such a disappointment!! read more

Absolutely no COVID-19 precautions are being taken here! I did not see one surface being wiped off the entire three days we stayed at the resort. I did not see a counter be wiped off, a table be wiped off, and doorhandle be wiped off and they certainly did not sanitize the thousands of Legos that every child is touching. Highly disappointed in our experience! Furthermore they have no first aid at the resort itself? My daughter cut her self on the hotel waterslide. As there was no concierge's desk I went to the front check in desk and was told that I needed to go to first aid which was located in the amusement park. There was no first aid available at the hotel itself. We didn't have a pass for the park that day so we had no access to first aid services. They didn't even have a simple Band-Aid available. Also, unless you like going to bed at 9 o'clock, don't plan to stay here. The pool closes at nine, The smallest pets close at 9 o'clock, and the mini golf closes at 9 o'clock. and although they say the bar is open until 10 at 9 o'clock everything shut down. What kind of resort has a pool that can't be used after 9 PM? It was such a waste of money for the very limited amenities and zero Covid precautions. We will not be back. read more

Very fun and different! Kid friendly and unique, everyone there is very helpful and friendly. When we first arrived at the hotel for my brothers birthday we were all in awe. The huge sculptures made of legos and the unique decor is amazing. There are many places all around the hotel for building and creating your own builds. Each floor has a different theme and the elevator plays music and has disco lights. Our hotel room theme was adventure. The lego animals on the wall and the lego decorations on the wall were amazing. Our fist day they left a puzzle for us to solve that unlocked a chest with snacks and legos. They have a large comfy bed and bunk beds. The restaurants in the hotel were wonderful and had great food. They also have building classes with master builders. Outside the hotel they have a pool with a slide and lego bricks that float in the pool to build with. They also have a golf course with was very nice. Over all the hotel was a great experience and I would definitely do it again! read more

This resort is GREAT for kids. I came here with my sisters and their children - 6 kids in all ranging from 6 weeks to 13 year olds. All of the kids had a blast, it's right next door to the park entrance which makes it super convenient. There's also a lot of lego themed play areas for the kids to run around in. I definitely recommend getting one of the suites - we stayed in the friends suite and it had really cool bunk beds that the kids loved. There was also a nice patio for the adults to hang out and enjoy the weather. As a plus, the patio was screened which would be great for the more "buggier" months. Overall, giving this place a 3 star review though primarily because of the difficulty in reaching the front desk. You can only order room service if you're in a suite (which we were), however, we had to call multiple times in order to get through to room service. Also, when we tried to call down for a bellboy we had difficulties reaching the front desk again and ended up going downstairs to request one. If you have little ones and you love legos, legoland is a fun family place. We have stayed multiple times at the regular hotel, pirate hotel, and beach retreat (less expensive options but still plenty to do). The main hotel and pirate hotel have activities like master builder classes for the kids, a pool and slide, and many more. They are also right next to the park so you can just walk right over. All properties offer free breakfast as well. They do have deals from time to time that can make either of the hotels less expensive and it can be just as fun whether you do the park during the day or you just stay at the hotel. read more

Poor customer relations. Zero flexibility in reservation. Accidentally signed up for a no refund room, and they wouldn't even discuss the change. As an elderly cancer patient and new widower, I was looking forward to being there with my grandchildren, but a medical appointment popped up. I couldn't even go a day later without losing the reservation and the full price. This does not speak well for how they would handle any situation. Just opened in May 2015, this hotel is pretty cool to look at. Lots of Lego designs inside and out. The hotel rooms are spacious. We got the pirate themed room where everything is awesome. A little treasure chest filled with Lego toy Mixels, magazines, activity book and Lego branded strap. The pool has cool Lego floating blocks. At checkin our experience was not as pleasant. 5 stars from a kids perspective, but only 2 stars from an adults perspective... Hence the 3 stars. Pros: Great entertainment for kids- there are Lego pits, characters walking around that engage with the children all day, castle play area, Lego building classes, Lego competitions and dance parties etc. Fun theme rooms and decor- the rooms even have scavenger hunt and treasure box that comes with free Legos. There is also a disco dance party in the elevator! Free swag - I mentioned free Legos in the treasure box but you also get: lanyards, cute Lego newspaper, and water bottles... You also get to keep the Legos you build if you take the builder class (which is also free). Cons: Price - it's way too expensive for the rooms and service. Cleanliness- this is a BIG issue. It's just plain DIRTY! There were hairs on the sheets, a moldy shower and dust/dirt everywhere! Maid service- I asked nicely for sheets to put on the bed (because of the hairs). They just dropped them off at the door and did not offer to help re-make the bed or apologize. Pool- very small and crowded. Food- we ate at the lounge one night which was horrible and over priced. For example: we paid about $30 for steak that was fatty and had over salted sides. We also had the "free" breakfast which was a huge disappointment because it was horrible and unsanitary. The sneeze guards and drink machines were sticky. There were utensils in a community container where everyone touches and the plates were all stained! The food was just gross and sitting at a lukewarm temperature (which makes it a breeding ground for bacteria). Run down- if you look very close you will notice how run down this hotel is getting (the stair wells even smell moldy). The showers are moldy and caulk is worn off, black smudges on the plates, carpet looks worn, fire breathing dragon outside did not blow smoke, Legos in pit and pool need to be cleaned, employees costumes look over worn etc ... This is a new hotel it's only been there a year! How is it so dirty and run down already???? I can't even imagine this place in a couple more years! Overall my kids had fun, but Legoland hotel really needs to get their act together because it's going down hill fast! With all the profits they make from over charging guest, they should invest in getting new stuff (like plates) and a better cleaning crew! read more

If you are a kid then it is really true that Everything is Awesome at the Legoland Hotel in Florida! We stayed for two midweek nights at the end of February with our family of 5. The hotel was perfect for our family. The kids had a blast exploring the hotel, eating at Bricks Restaurant for breakfast, and swimming in the outdoor pool. The rooms are perfect for a family of 5. There is a kids section that has its own tv and bunk beds with a trundle bed. It is rare to find a hotel room to comfortably sleep 5 so this alone made the hotel awesome. The main bed was also awesome. My wife and I both agreed we don't think we've slept in a more comfortable hotel bed! When you arrive in your room you are greeted by a scavenger hunt that ends with a code to unlock a chest with a prize that included a new Mixel for each of our kids, some juice boxes, and lanyards for each of the kids. There also were 5 little bottles of water in the room for us. Nice touches. The rooms themselves are well decorated. We were in an adventure room on the 5th floor (509) and had an awesome view of the pool and the theme park. The elevator has a disco light and disco music to make every ride an instant dance party. Be prepared to wait a little while though since there are only 2 for the whole hotel and they are a little slow. The lobby is the busiest and most happening hotel lobby I've ever been in! There are pits filled with Legos and kids are constantly playing in them and making creations that are displayed on a wall by the entrance. There is a Lego castle play area that is the site for an evening pj party that the kids loved. The kids area is connected with a bar area so the adults can sit back and have a drink while the kids play but still stay in view. There also is a Club Room that has the Lego Movie on nonstop (also there is a channel in each room that has the Lego Movie on a loop as well!). There are huge models of Legos throughout the hotel. Of course there is a gift shop that sells Legos as well! The staff were all very nice and all had name badges that they would attach a minifigure and trade with any of the guests. Be sure to bring a bunch of minifigures because there are plenty of opportunities to trade with the staff and other guests (plus when you go to the amusement park, which is only steps away, they have a huge wall of minifigures that are available to trade. The outdoor pool was nice for the kids and they of course had big Lego bricks for creating structures while you splash around. They had life jackets available for the kids if needed. Be warned, the pool didn't seem to be heated (or if it was, it was still pretty cool!) A buffet breakfast is included with your stay and it is great. They have plenty of options. Manny makes a great omelet and be sure to try the salsa on top. We also drank quite a few mango and strawberry smoothies which were all included with the buffet. They even have to go cups to take a coffee traveler on your way out. Once again the staff were all friendly and courteous. We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel but there is a Ruby Tuesday right at the entrance that was good and we also brought back pizza from Dominos one night (there were other pizza places near by as well). Only thing that I wish they could figure out a way to improve is the long entrance drive to the hotel. I wish there was a short cut directly to the hotel instead of having to loop all the way around the amusement park lot. I did appreciate that parking was included as a hotel guest. I'd highly recommend the Legoland Hotel for anyone with young kids if you are visiting Legoland Florida. It was well worth the price (and since we booked over a month in advance it wasn't even all that expensive)! read more

Clerk at legoland florida hotel check in said she needed to swipe my credit card for $100 incidental fees. They refunded $100 after i checked out, but charged my credit card for rooms to the tune of $800. Did it twice. I called, i emailed, they said theyd fix it, the didnt. Everything is awesome. This review is for the pirate hotel only. We stayed here during COVID 19 and opening month June 2020. The hotel has great pirate theme and Legos everywhere. The room was stocked with legos and a lego play area. They have a little "kids" area where they do shows, have a kid Lego pit, and fun things while the bar area is directly behind. A parent could have a drink and watch their kid interact with the show. You need reservations for Shipwreck restaurant, but it is delicious. Breakfast at the restaurant is included with your stay but dinner is not. It is a family style type dining with two main choices to pick from. A huge platter is brought and you share with your table. It was delicious and more food than we could eat! The new hotel is accessed thru the lobby of the old hotel. The hotels connect so it is easy access to the Lego castle, master builders class, Bricks resultant. The new addition has its own pool or you can use the main pool. Vending machines and ice makers in every floor. Beds comfortable and rooms clean. read more

Please be aware that, although the hotel is absolutely wonderful, the park DOES NOT REQUIRE MASKS except in "indoor" facilities. At least a third of the people wandering around were unmasked. One woman in the restroom I entered refused to put on her mask when I asked. We left the park and checked out of the hotel immediately. To their credit, a wonderful employee, Jessie, arranged for us to reuse our tickets and hotel stay for a year from now. However, I'm very disappointed that a nationally recognized property isn't following the same safety guidelines that Disney, Universal and Sea World require to keep their customers safe. read more

The parks are great but definitely worth finding a different hotel near by. We came here for my daughters birthday and stayed in the Legoland FL hotel.. it was absolutely disgusting. The rooms were filled with mold, all 3 of the beds sheets felt like they had just come out of the washer each time housekeeping changed them. We were on the 4th floor with 3 children with a window that would not stay closed. Very dangerous!!! When letting management know they said there was nothing they could do because no other rooms were available and if we decided to leave they would not refund us for any nights unused. The manager was rude and very unfriendly. The lifeguards and staff were in a rush to get off and at the end of shift scattered like flys even with kids still in the pool!! The pirate hotel was pretty cool, except the fact the the food is a C- and for a family of 4 for a buffet, it is over $80 which is ridiculous. I would rate the food at a quality of Cici'S pizza at best. The park isn't even owned by LEGO. Half of the attractions in the park we're closed and only open on certain days that weren't posted or clear. The stores have prices posted for items that they don't even sell. When I asked about an item that was on display and had a price listed on a separate shelf, I was told it was only a display and not sold by any store in the park. They shut down the water slides due to "lightning" but the remainder of the water park was left open and forced everyone out of line just to walk by the splashpad (open), wave pool (open) and the lazy river which was still open. This is by far one of the worst vacations that I have ever taken and Would highly advise anyone thinking of visiting to take that money and spend it in a LEGO store instead. read more

Fun place for little kids. My 9 & 11 yr old kids, my husband and I went for 2 nights and 3 days. We stayed at the legoland hotel and it was awesome and totally worth staying. Hotel price included two days at the park, breakfast buffet, parking, and entertainments for the kids after 6pm. Also entrance to the park was less than 5 minutes away walk. There was a treasure chest waiting for the kids in the room to unlock after solving the clue. My kids are older so it didn't took too much to open. There was a lego to make and some pretzels & juice boxes. Room was small but kids loved it having separate kids area with the bunk beds. No seating area and just a bed for the adults. Bathroom was small too. Toilet had those training toilet seat for the little ones. All the staff members at the hotel were very friendly but some of the staff at the park was ok. We ate at the hotel because we didn't want to bother going out. Food was ok. Little pricey. You have two restaurants to choose from. One is buffet. We didn't use the pool but it's heated. Paid $10 and got the s'mores kit. Used half one night and the other half next day. Park was ok. Nothing fancy. We went on Friday & Saturday. We were thinking of getting the fast passes but didn't and glad that we didn't because we waited average 20-30 minutes for the rides except for the new virtual reality ride. That was about 2 hours of waiting. Yikes! Overall it was fun. Definitely for younger kids. read more

Very disappointed. We had booked a room in the Pirate Island Hotel. The whole point of this trip was my son wanted to stay in the Pirate Island Hotel. When we arrived, we were given a room with a pirate theme in the old hotel. When I spoke to the front desk about the error, I was basically shrugged off and told they were full and couldn't do anything. I paid 5k for this trip not counting travel cost. All so we could have a room with a view of the roof and a chair with holes in it. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. read more

All 3 stars go towards the decor in the resort. There's much room for improvement. 1- we stayed during Spring Break 2018. Was pleased to know that we get early access to the park being guest at the hotel - only to find out they no longer do that. Not sure they realize most people stay for that reason. 2- they are way too strict about check in and check out time. Only resort I've ever been in (and we travel frequently, all over) to not allow before 4pm or after 11am. You'll be charged $50 per hour after 11am. Although you can stay and play - not having a room to change clothes or shower makes it difficult. 3- bathroom essentials. The cheapest. Their towels leave little white cotton speks all over your body. Horrible! The shampoo, conditioner and lotion are no-brands. I bring my own, but was still shocked by the super cheap quality. I think motels carry better towels and shampoo. No robes unless you're staying in a suite. This was disappointing as I'm used to bath robes at hotels/resorts. 4- bedrooms. The kids loved their bunk beds and room (they wanted to stay there for hours!) and I too couldn't help but feel a bit royal in my king bed in the Kingdom room. Again, 3 stars go for amazing decor/detail all throughout the resort. That said, the pillows were uncomfortably thick. Felt like I had my head on a suitcase! 5- Fun. My boys, 6 and 9 , were quickly bored in the lobby. The Lego pit is not as big as it appears in online photos. Best for younger kids. The elevator was probably the most fun on the actual resort. Sadly, we didn't get to use the pool during our 3 day stay. It looked great. But with a waterpark in Legoland, the kids were all done with swimming. My boys enjoyed the Lego Model Build , but the resort really should look into grouping classes by age group or level of Lego expertise. 6- Food. Not enough options or variety. I personally don't like buffet style and that's the only way it's done at Bricks restaurant- open for breakfast and dinner. The Skyline Lounge is also limited in food options. Once you've ordered from them once , you don't really want to have the same thing the next day. Luckily, there are restaurants within short driving distance. We ate at Olive Garden one night for dinner, $42. In comparison we had half the amount of food at the Skyline Lounge for close to $80. Just saying. They need a more fine dining option. Would I come back or recommend? I would recommend if your child's mind would be blown by a Lego themed bedroom. Get the premium room. I'm not sure I'll be back, as my older son gets older... I think the best age range would be 5-8, or 1st through early 3rd grade. If they would be more of a resort, I would return. I would consider their quality that of a motel, but all the Lego models and details amp it up. read more

Stayed for 2 nights with my parents and daughter. The resort is laid out wonderfully. They have excellent entertainment for children, which is conveniently located directly next to the bar, but far enough away that it's classy. Every employee that we encountered went above and beyond, top notch customer service. It's a very fun resort, from the disco balls in the elevators to the giant legos in the pool. The rooms are all themed and designed to keep your kids busy. The only reason I'm giving 4 starts vs 5 is because of how small the rooms were. That being said, they are designed that way to keep you out of the room. As an adult, it was also pretty uncomfortable sleeping in the bottom bunk, but I guess that's my own fault. read more

We booked the legoland hotel 5 months in advance. We booked 2 rooms. One room was my daughter, son in law & 2 granddaughters. The other room was just my husband & myself. I specifically called & wrote on our reservation that we required adjoining rooms since we were only going for my granddaughters birthday. If it wasn't for her we would not be staying here. We paid $350 a night per room for a total of $1400. Upon arrival we were not put in adjoining rooms. We were actually not even on the same floor! That was the first of many issues. They did move our room so that we were across the hall from each other. After getting checked in We went downstairs to let the kids explore and . We brought a cake for my granddaughters bday and we all ordered dinner. We had a table of 8 for dinner. We spent quite a bit at this restaurant. Imagine our surprise when we asked them to hold the cake and bring it out after dinner, they could not!! We were even told they were not allowed to sing to a 5 year old unless we bought the additional $140 Birthday package! We spent $1400 for 2 rooms for 2 nights and they can't even sing to a child!? This was ridiculous! Strike 2 but wait, it gets better! The pool is very small it is only 3 feet deep and it is very strict. They have a cabinet that holds beachtowels and requires your room key to access them. You have to return each towel into the shute because they apparently have a chip in them and are tracked back to your room. Failure to put each towel back into the bin before you leave the pool will result in a $20 per towel charge to your room! the food was actually pretty decent at Skyline until I found a hair in my Greek salad. I still paid $12 for it. The pizza was actually pretty good. The salsa wasn't that great. The spinach dip was kind of watery but still tasted decent. The chicken wings were a really good size and buffalo had a little bit of spice, they were actually really good. The cheeseburger was 16 dollars and it really wasn't very good. We felt it was rather dry. The Pulled pork taste like it was microwaved and overcooked. The kids meals were $10 each but they did include a drink and were a pretty good size. They included applesauce, fries, chocolate milk & very dried out overcooked kraft Mac that looked like it was stuck to a bottom of a pan. The rooms are basically your standard hotel room with bunkbeds squeezed into the front entryway. It's no bigger than a normal hotel room. The blankets were not adult size, they'd be good for LEGO people. We had a mini fridge that was loud and leaked. The room always felt damp. The carpets felt wet. I had tissue paper in the gift bags that felt wet. It's like the AC didn't work properly and the room stayed moist & humid. We were sound asleep when someone started banging on our door at 1am. They banged and banged then started blowing up our room phone. My husband goes to the door to see what was going on. He was greeted by a rude hotel employee that swore our smoke alarm was going off in our room. He told her it was not and that we were sleeping. She pushed her way into the room, turned all the lights on and proceeded to search our room at 1AM!! Obviously if a smoke alarm was going off we would know it. You would also be able to hear it at our door. She acted like we did something wrong. Thankfully we did not have kids in the bunk beds right by the door. Unfortunately she ruined our evening and we were unable to get back to sleep! Additionally, my husband left in the morning to go grab coffee since the line to get into Bricks was very long. They charged him $24 to park. He told them we were at the hotel but he was told to ask the hotel for a refund. We went to the hotel desk, waited in line only to be told We then had to go wait in line at guest services at the park. We wasted 30 minutes waiting on that approval and then another week before the refund was actually processed to our card. I must say that the management at this hotel is by far the worst ever! They are rude & have no respect for guest comfort or privacy. I will be contacting the division of hotels & restaurants to report this mess. I attempted to resolve it with the hotel first. Dawn made it very clear that she is aware that this happens at this location very often. They are looking into why but there's nothing she can do. The strange thing is that we spoke to another family that said the same thing happened to them at 2am the night or morning before. read more

The hotel was by far the best experience. Way better than the park itself. I am basing this off going with a one and a half year old so she couldn't ride too many rides. But the hotel, LOVED it! The rooms, the service, the entertainment, the pool, the campfire s'mores, the boardwalk, the breakfast, we loved it all! It's an experience I will never forget and I hope my one year old doesn't either, I have a feeling she won't. She had so much fun. Especially with the interactive character shows with lots of music and dancing. All the kids there were having a blast. I mean I can't say enough how much we loved it. read more

Legoland hotel is quite impressive, especially the effort they put in to catering to kids. I especially like the fact that vehicle traffic around the hotel is minimal, especially since thee are so many children running in all directions. I also love the fact that the rooms have a theme (be it Pirate or otherwise) and the kids sleeping area is separate from the adults. There are also lego's in the room for kids to play with - just ensure they put them away before bed (unless YOU like stepping on lego's in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. The lobby is something else. The best way to describe it is "Vegas for kids", but instead of adults chain smoking and play the slots, kids are playing in the pit of lego's and binging on apple juice. The decor is great and there are plenty of lego's for kids to play with while you check in. They'll also ask at the front desk if your child wants to participate in a master builder session - but we weren't able to do this. Like I said, the room is way cool, but way expensive - you get what you pay for though. The rooms are well insulated - barely heard anyone in the halls and didn't hear our neighbors at all. A piece of advice - if you are on the second floor (or even the third floor of you're in shape) take the stairs. The elevator gets pretty crazy and the wait can be ridiculous. Breakfast comes with the price of the room. It's a buffet style with typical fare - eggs, bacon, cereal, grits, biscuits gravy, etc. They also will make omelette to order and I think they had a crape station. Parking wasn't bad. It can be a little further from the hotel than most are used to, but it could be worse. They also have valet parking for $20 or something, which is good for your entire stay. All in all, it was a great experience and the kids loved having their own TV and bunk beds at night. It's a good activity for a family looking to get away for a night or two. read more

The LegoLand/Merlin website states that a "perk" to staying at the hotel is early entry into the park. We had family go a few months ago and they got into the park at 9am. We wake up my kids at 4:30am to be at the resort by 8-8:30am. They did not honor the early entry even after I showed it from their actual website. The Park ended up being a lot of fun and my children had a blast. I added the unlimited movie night to my hotel package... unlimited to them is 3. Lego Movie, Lego Batman and Boss Baby. Not sure how that is unlimited? The breakfast buffet food was complimentary but absolutely inedible. The eggs were mushy, watery and cold. The biscuits were Hockey pucks. The French toast sticks were alright, but cold. Waffles could hardly be cut. The bananas they were serving were still green. We will definitely be back to LegoLand but probably not stay at the hotel. read more

LEGOLAND Hotel - Hotels Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

We went to LEGOLAND Florida December 31-January 2. Spoiler: it's a busy time of the year to go. My wife and I have two kids, ages 8 and 4, for context. Pros: - Staying at the LEGOLAND hotel was convenient and enjoyable. The boys loved getting to play with Legos at every step inside the hotel. There's several LEGO "pits" treat kids can play in. - Check was easy enough. I had bought tickets and made reservations ahead of time, so no issues there. - Park opens at 10:00am and we got there before gates opened. Lines during peak season are long, like really long. So getting there early allowed us to hop on rides that typically have the longest lines. - The rides were fine for my boys, though not overly adventurous. My younger one was a little small for a few of them, but we knew that going in. Having a kid at least 42" will get you on most rides, 48" will get you on pretty much all of them. - The employees are overall helpful. They enjoyed trading LEGO figures with them. - Miniland is a neat place that has several interactive aspects. Many of the lines also had "play areas" while you waited in line. - We did the Master Builder class at the resort hotel. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it! - There's a bar/restaurant that is right next to the play area inside the hotel. We enjoyed some drinks while the kids played and we could still keep an eye on them. Cons: - The food is expensive and not particularly tasty. We ended up just driving to local restaurants at night for better and cheaper food choices. Tips: - Go during a non-peak time if possible to avoid the tremendous lines. There are some rides that will have a two hour wait for a 30 second ride. - If you go during peak season, get there when it opens. - If you're able to afford Fast Pass, it's worth it. A random person gave us a Fast Pass that she wasn't using and we were able to experience the awesomeness of it for one ride! - We has a two day pass. We saw everything. I think you can do everything in one day if you go from start to finish of the day. If the water park is open when you go two days is more appropriate. read more
