I have never written a negative review. Everyone at this practice was perfectly nice but I only came to this office because the website had an extensive section on laser dentistry. I have an extreme phobia of dental procedures due to a traumatic accident when I was 7 that required years of painful visits to the dentist. Imagine my surprise when after the initial assessment I asked about the laser dentistry and no one had any clue what I was talking about. I write web copy and SEO for a living, and to me, this seems like a duplicitous and illegal tactic to lure people in (bait and switch). I'm very upset that I was lured in under false pretenses, my time and free annual visit for my insurance was completely wasted and now I have to find a dentist that is not falsely advertising their services. The dentist recommended I verify what's offered on the website is real when I call other dentists. I had to say that falsely advertising services is illegal. Seriously, it's up to me to ensure the dental practice isn't publicly lying about what they offer? Additionally, I know I need a filling replaced and some other work--I was prepared for this. But at my last dental visit with my old dentist, everything else was fine. The list of things this dentist recommended is as long as my arm. I don't mind paying for things if they are critical--but given my previous dental trauma, things that are not critical is just piling on. The cherry on top is that I have no idea who this dentist is. I booked an appointment with Dr. Zamiri, but the doctor kept referring to Dr. Zamiri in the third person. Get a 2nd opinion!!! My insurance changed so, I went to Dr. Zamiri based on a recommendation from a friend. On my first visit I and was bombarded with a list of procedures that I needed to have done. I left feeling VERY overwhelmed and confused since I had just seen a dentist 6 months prior and was told everything was fine. One of the procedures was a tooth extraction. Dr. Zamiri removed the tooth and put in a bone graft. A few days later the graft fell out, which is very uncommon. Turns out the reason it fell out was because the extraction had punctured a hole in my sinus that she was unaware of!!!! I could feel air coming out of my tooth cavity!!! I went back to get it fixed and she put more bone graft in. Then a few days later it fell out again. After this nightmare, I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion from 2 different oral surgeons. I was told that she should have seen on the x-ray that the extraction was going to puncture my sinus and that there definitely should never have been a bone graft put in until the hole was closed surgically. I now need 2 additional surgeries to close the hole in my sinus. Because of her lack of knowledge in this department, I was left with an open hole in my sinus for 6 weeks which then caused an infection, I had 2 bone graft procedures done that were not required and now need 2 surgeries. I was also told that the list of other procedures I "needed to a have done" were not necessary. A lot of pain and suffering that did not need to happen. If you need any work done, please go see a specialist or get a 2nd opinion!!! read more

BEWARE! I went in for a root canal. Instead of working on what I asked for, they decided I needed a whole list of things. Strange, but I wanted my root canal so I went along with it. Luckily, my insurance declined everything they wanted to do (because it's unnecessary, even I knew that). The day I went in to get the bridge for my root canal, a dentist I never met before came in and decided she's going to give me a filling and a cap! I was in the chair with a numb mouth already so I couldn't argue with her. The assistant asked me to sign paperwork but would literally flip the page for me so I had NO TIME to read anything. I thought this was all so strange and I wish I left instead of putting up with it. I ended up with SEVERE PAIN on the tooth she worked on. I came back in to complain. They wouldn't help me. They didn't care. They just wanted more money from me for another root canal. I can't afford that so I begged them to pull it but she refused!! Said she won't pull a "healthy tooth". If I'm in SEVERE pain because your dentist drilled my nerve, then it's no longer a healthy tooth and it's your responsibility to take care of it. AVOID THIS PLACE, they are all about scamming you! i had an emergency dental situation that was very painful and Ithis dental office was around the corner from my house, so I decided to call them and they were j wonderful and they acce my insurance and asked if I could come in right away and everyone in the office was very nice and kind and caring. It's one thing to be nice but it's another to be caring and empathetic. I felt like everyone that I interfaced with at Dr. Zamir's office were kind and caring to me and others. Dr. Leila Zamiri was absolutely wonderful and professional an down to earth She heard my concern and immediately addressed it. She didn't try to upsell or lie about dx like western dental and similar organizations. I've been a patient here for about 18 months now so I've had 3 visits to this office. I don't dread going to the dentist like some do, but I don't look forward to either; it's just not a pleasant experience overall. The times that I have been there Dr Zamiri and her staff go above and beyond to make it as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be. Everyone from the person behind the front desk who greets you when you first walk in to the dental technicians who take X-rays and polish your teeth to Dr Zamiri herself when comes by for an examination are extremely personable and kind. The parking situation isn't ideal, but that's not on them. They have a small lot out front (3 spaces I think) and street parking. I haven't had any issues finding a spot on the street close by but I'd plan on leaving for your appointment 5-10 minutes earlier than you normally would to account for that. read more

Like I had a filling done and told her that the filling felt uneven, she didn't go ahead and do more polishing knowing that my teeth would feel sensitive to eat things had she done more polishing. I have been to Dr. Zamiri's office for a few years now. Growing up I always had several cavities no matter what I did and have been convinced time and time again that I needed fillings, and replacement fillings, and work redone, so on and so forth every visit. It's been over 10 years since I've cleaned up my act, but since I've been to Dr. Zamiri I have not had any more cavities. I know it has more to do with my own daily care than the cleanings I've had done here, however I have to note that they do not recommend anything that isn't NECESSARY at that very moment. So many other dentist offices I've been to will recommend getting a filling because they see a cavity POTENTIALLY forming in your x-ray and will go dig around and fill it just to get your money. Not here. Dr. Zamiri also has a warm comforting demeanor, but that's just icing on the cake. I am so happy to have found a great dentist in my area! read more

The office is clean. The dentist seemed nice. But this was a horrible experience. I waited 20 mins before anyone acknowledged my existence. It was one full hour before I was called into the chair. Then another 30 minutes for x-rays. How long do you schedule dentist appointments? I have never in my life been at the dentist for 2 hours for just a cleaning. I finally complained that I had another appointment, and they brought the doctor to meet me. She said she probably couldn't do the cleaning that day if I had to be somewhere else by 2. I got there at 12. She wouldn't be able to do my cleaning within TWO hours of me being there?? I was paying a babysitter to be with my child so I could FINALLY get a cleaning. Do you know how horrible wasted childcare feels? When the receptionist tried to reschedule me to come in ANOTHER DAY for the cleaning, I walked out. I cannot believe I spent 1.5 hours in a dentist office and got nothing. That's $35 of childcare for nothing. The receptionist could not understand why I was so annoyed. She was like... well it's your fault you have to be somewhere at 2. It's my fault i didn't expect to be at the dentist for TWO hours or more? No. Just no. I came here for a simple cleaning. They I insisted I do x-rays. I explained that I was having extensive dental work done and my insurance wouldn't cover the insurance. They assured me the x-rays were covered. Great. Fast forward still going thru extensive dental work with an oral surgeon. The x-rays were covered. I then reached out to get the x-rays they had taken so I wouldn't be charged again. I called left a message. No one called me back. I called and spoke to someone who said she would send them in a coupLe days? Weird but, ok. Fast forward a week later I show uup in person to get the x-rays. They still won't give them to me.
