Lekko Coffee shop opened in September 2021 in the Seymour Building in Ohio City (Detroit Ave.) where the former co-working space called "The Beauty Shoppe" used to be located. The actual co-working space is still there but it is unoccupied; rather, the coffee shop space is now called "Lekko Coffee". The Beauty Shoppe closed in 2020 during the pandemic along with the coffee shop inside called "Foyer". You can look up my Yelp review of Foyer and you will notice that the same furniture (soft pink sofas) were kept for us to enjoy here at Lekko Coffee. TEA/COFFEE -- I don't drink coffee so I appreciate that there are tea options available. In October 2021, I visited Lekko and tried their Matcha Green Tea Latte. It is expensive at $6 for a small cup but it was delicious and fresh (made with Oat milk). FOOD - They sell a pre-made breakfast and protein muffins through a local meal prep-company called "UnRefined" (previously called "Prep Slutz"). They also sell freshly made cookies from local bakers. SEATING/DECOR -- This is a very inviting coffee shop with beautiful artwork and colourful couches/sofas. There are plenty of seats available for you to read, chat with a friend, or work on your computer. There are comfortable couches inside the main area and small tables/chairs right at the entrance where the drinks are made. Depending on what time of day you visit, it can get really noisy here so your best bet is to arrive early in the morning during the week when they open at 7am or after 5pm. Their hours are 7am - 7pm everyday (Mondays - Sundays). Lekko is the aesthetic coffee lover's dream. I visited here with a few friends, and was absolutely blown away by how beautiful the space is. I love the pink aesthetic, and as a plant mom, I really appreciate all of the plants incorporated into the decor. Of course, the coffee is also delicious. The baristas were super friendly, and I just love the vibes. This coffee shop is a great place to study. They have a good amount of seating, and a variety of different sized tables available. Beautiful coffee shop with a clean, modern feel, a wide variety of seating option, plenty of space, and (at least when I was there) a calming soundtrack. I had an espresso and an Ethiopian pour over coffee. The shot was excellent. Bright and acidic without being sour. I got some citrus notes against a sweet honey background. The pour over (an Ethiopian) was quite good. It tasted of ripe berries and stone fruits, had good underlying sweetness, and was bright without being too acidic. Incredible new coffee shop off Detroit downtown. Huge open space with plenty of very stylishly designed (yet somehow minimalist) seating and tables ideal for leisure or work. This is the most visually calming and zen-appealing coffee shop I've seen in Cleveland. Simple menu, nice hours. Plus the baked goods are out of this world! This coffee shop is new to the Hingetown area. It located right next to what use to be the Ohio City Gallery which I think is just Sauce the City now. The aesthetic is very clean and simple. The colors very muted and pale but crisp. The décor is inviting but not super comfy. Right were you need it to be for a coffee shop were people probably do work, read books etc. They have several plants throughout and I just love the quirky addition of the encyclopedias on the shelves. The coffee: They have a small concise offering with special seasonal features. I am in love with Cafe Miel. I know I will return often for it. It is a cinnamon and honey latte. this is such a nice new coffee shop and I'm so glad I stopped in. their menu includes a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks, including some seasonal options. I tried the cafe miel and it was perfectly sweet without overpowering the coffee taste. Also they don't charge extra for oat milk! There are so many tables and outlets, and with its open layout and bright yet relaxing environment, it's the perfect for being productive and getting some work done. there's also a convenient parking lot behind the building. You'll start hearing about this place soon, if you haven't yet. This cafe is on the corner of the same building with the former OHC Galley. You'll see a sign for a historic bar and know you're at the right place. You park on any surrounding street or in the back lot and make your way into the cafe. The staff are very nice. You'll notice the menu is small - this makes ordering a breeze. The specials were actually created with oat milk in mind so get ready for some amazing flavors and not up-charge. I got the cafe miel (honey coffee) hot with oatmilk and it was a dream. I would highly recommend! Outside of drip coffee and espresso, they also offer tea and some light bites. Lekko is my favorite coffee shop in Cleveland! The aesthetic is super beautiful, and there's plenty of seating l. Be warned it gets very busy on the weekends and seating may be a bit sparse! My favorite coffee is the lemon lavender, which is sweet and delicious with a bit of lavender syrup and lemon peel pieces on top. One of my favorite coffee shops in Cleveland. First off, it's very aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful furniture and art on the wall makes you feel like you're in a modern home. Most importantly, they have the best matcha latte that I've had in cle! Perfectly sweetened, and I think they make their own oat milk which really adds a nice richness to the latte. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the place, especially with large windows to let sunlight in. There's plenty of seating and free wifi which makes it a great place to study. I had a solid pour over and a mocha. The mocha was warm, creamy and filling. I liked how it wasn't overtly sweet compared to other mochas that I have tried. read more

Lekko is one of the newer coffeeshops in Cleveland and was definitely a hit due to its clean, minimalistic, and aesthetic atmosphere and design. There is a lot of space at this coffeeshop, but it can definitely get extremely crowded. There are also limited outlets, but if you can snag a spot with an outlet, Lekko is a great coffeeshop to study at. In terms of coffee, their coffee/latte is not my favorite. It might be the beans that they use or the milk, but it tastes a little bit like celery. I haven't tried the other drinks yet, but I may give the other drinks a try the next time I'm there since it is a great place to study or just vibe and read a book. read more

Lekko Coffee is a gem! Truly. I'm so happy another coffee shop was able to make use of this space. I'm only sad I didn't get here sooner, but I haven't been out much during COVID. I'm thrilled to see a business still taking the pandemic seriously, wearing masks and social distancing. If you're not from around here, know the parking can be a bit tricky so just be prepared to be patient. I was super impressed with Lekko and their welcoming and homey atmosphere. The space is modern, clean, bright and filled with several different types of seating arrangements. If you're looking for a place to come and stay a while, this is definitely it. It's just the type of place that would be great to work, meet friends or have a date. I'm not a huge coffee drinker so I am always thrilled when there's non-coffee items on the menu. Super chill coffee shop that has lots of cool drinks on their menu, they also have food and bakery and some of them are vegan which is awesome. The workers are very nice and made everything very fast. The interior is very bright with lots of blue and white, there were many places to sit, a lot of outlets, and the decorations were very cool. The ube latte with oat milk had a awesome purple color, great latte art, and had a unique flavor different from any other latte I've had, the ube added subtle nutty notes to the coffee that balanced well with the strong espresso and creamy oat milk. Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, but they also have amazing coffee drinks and a great barista! I'm on a try-new-coffee-shops kick and decided to give Lekko a try. I was grateful to pull up and immediately find a parking spot outside. Their main drink menu is pretty basic but they have some amazing sounding/tasting specialty drinks. I ordered the Peppermint Mocha for myself and the Chocolate Orange latte for my husband, both with oat milk. I asked the barista to only put half the amount of flavoring as usual. The order came out timely and the lattes were the perfect temperature (hot, but not so hot that it burned my tongue). Both drinks are absolutely delicious and I think the peppermint mocha is one of the best lattes I've had. I wasn't really paying too much attention to the flavorings but I did notice that he used orange bitters in the orange chocolate drink which is creative. The ambiance is heavy natural light and minimal decorations with pops of bold colors. First of all, this place is huge! Bright & clean with multiple large sitting areas. I can definitely picture myself working from here on occasion. I visited on a Sunday morning and they had two pop up food vendors. In addition to their regular coffee menu, they had a few seasonal options as well. My husband ordered a cold brew and I got the London Fog with oat milk. We ordered a waffle from one of the pop ups. The London Fog was not piping hot like I typically like my drinks, and it was a little sweet for me. I do like that they offer a dairy alternative without an up charge. Next time I'll try a drop or pour over. I feel like the back room could use more two person or smaller group seating areas. There are a couple of couches and chairs, but it's kind of awkward to share those spaces. We ended up sitting at a six person table and felt bad for taking up the space. read more

I'm a big fan of Lekko. It's obviously a very beautiful space, the baristas have always been very friendly, and it's a great place to do work/study. When I first started coming to Lekko I thought that the seating arrangement was a bit strange. It's a kind of odd shaped building (long but not wide), but they definitely try to accommodate people who are just there to hang out/lounge and people who want to do work. For people who want to do work, I think there's enough tables close to outlets and strong WiFi, so as long as you get there a little earlier to snag the right size table for your needs, I think it's pretty close to perfect. I don't have any strong opinions about the coffee. Everything that I have had there has tasted good, but I will say that Lekko is noticeably more expensive than other coffee shops in the Cleveland area. A regular iced coffee is $5 (same price as their cold brew, interestingly). I'm not sure if I would say that this higher price point is warranted. I'm honestly not too familiar with where there coffee is sourced from, etc. so maybe it's a higher quality product and worth the price? But this is definitely a downside to Lekko that can't be ignored. The food options at Lekko are a bit sparse but since they only opened a year ago, I have noticed that they are constantly expanding these options. They have more in-house food options now, plus last weekend when I was there I noticed QR codes floating around that linked to The Grocery (cafe + grocery across the street) and allow you to order food that is delivered to your table in Lekko. I think this is a really great idea, but again want to note that this is not cheap, and if I'm getting a coffee from Lekko, I'm personally not as inclined to get a $15 sandwich from across the street as well. Overall, a great study space and one that I will likely keep returning to! It's kind of unfortunate that it's really pricey, but even so I'm excited to see Lekko continue to grow their business. read more

The variety of seating options is great as there are couches, sofa chairs, group tables, and individual tables. The natural lighting and wifi are a plus. It can get loud so if you're trying to get work done then bring noise-cancelling headphones. I also like coming here on some Saturday mornings when they have live music. My favorite of the Ohio City coffee shops, Lekko represents the Liberal Democrats in the UK political party analogy. Neither as pretentious and fancy as the Tory Edda, nor as dedicated to working-class affordability as Labour Koffie, Lekko takes a centrist path where the focus in on excellent tea service delicious baked goods, including scones, and providing the product without a long wait. They do this well enough that unlike Ed Davies, they don't have to perform stunts to garner attention. And the tea service is worth commenting on. For the same price as Edda's tea, where you get a small cuppa that you'll have to ration if you wish for it to last longer than 20 minutes, you get a proper teapot, enough for two generous cups, with water at an appropriate temperature and a generous amount of loose leaf tea. That's a 5-star review right there, nothing else even considered. But those baked goods _are_ good, the best I've had in Ohio City aside perhaps from Farkas, the Hungarian bakery on Lorain. The lemon poppy-seed scone may be a bit American-ish in its definition of how to make a scone, but the result is better than any other American-style scone I've had. The double chocolate chip cookie is so good that it was hard not to order another the same day. And the atmosphere is great, too. A little bit of bar seating, some row seating near the front, and plenty of tables, all quite well lit. Reliable WiFi. There seem to be outlets by most of the seating. Reasonable interior volume, you can focus and get something done but also have a conversation and not feel like you're speaking in a library. It all adds up to my favorite place for tea in Ohio City. Order a Harvest Moon, whichever baked good looks best, and you won't be disappointed. read more
