I flunked my eye exam at the dmv which made it important to fix the problem quickly. After carefully explaining the process and choices, I was more than amazed with the results. "Let there be sight"! would be the obvious. Within minutes of surgery, I was able to see clearly, and with brilliant lights everywhere. Once the cataracts were removed, I was further grateful to find out that I had 20 20 vision in both eyes, and did not need reading glasses. I was told this is not always the case, but I would have been satisficed with anything close to normal. The process is somewhat complex but the results are perfect eye sight with minimal risks. The nurses were easy to work with and I now have amazing sight. Many thanks to Anthem/BC, Vantage Eye Center, Dr Zachery Richardson, Dr. Bakahti, and all the nurses at Cass Street, Ryan Ranch, and Salinas Surgery Center. Five Stars and a SNAP!!!!

I asked see someone who specializes in Keratoconus and Scleral lenses. I was told that would be possible. I arrive for my appointment and first thing is they make it abundantly clear (with tacky printed paper signs) that they DO NOT see patients without a co-pay. Receptionist was rude, but hey low wages and $6 gas, I get it. But at least get some professional signs. I forgot my wallet and was informed they don't see patients without a co-pay. Period. They don't take any form of digital payments. I was able to use my digital credit card's virtual card number for the $50 copay. I sat down and waited and waited min for my appointment. They had no problem giving plenty of attention to the vendors who came in after me. Two vendors were led back to see their physicians without haste and both appeared to come in unannounced. I finally get called back, with no apology for any delays. I've been treated better in a line at a night club. After initial question were gathered, I was informed that I was only scheduled for a basic eye exam and NOT anything related to getting my prescription updated (even though I specifically stated that when I called), I would have to come back and spend ANOTHER $50 to see a different doctor who does not specialize in Keratoconus, but handles prescriptions. Both of my previous experiences at optometrist both doctors who specialized in my eye disease were able to examine my eyes AND fit my scleral lens prescription. Here it seems they want to milk you for all they can, so book you for 2 separate appointments. They did cancel my appointment, but I wasted my time taking off work and going here to sit around in a waiting room with 1 bar of cell service. Avoid. The customer service is awful. They do a great job at making you feel like a number. But that's what you get in America where our healthcare is a luxury to be rationed. If you are going to rob people for co-pays at least get some decent wifi so we can browse the internet while we wait patiently for our rationed health care. Trust the one star reviews, Waste of time and overly expensive with bad attitudes. Go else where.

Dr Bidar was so kind and I was assured of a successful recovery because he has performed thousands of these operations. The aftercare has been wonderful, and everyone comments on how rested I look. I also didn't appreciate how I was unable to get a callback from his office on my questions regarding a multivitamin he recommended me to take. So despite living 1 hour away from his office, I booked a separate in person meeting just to ask questions, and every question I asked was met with either arrogance, or a defensive tone. Even with simple questions like "when should I come to see you next considering my condition?" -- he could not respond without some level of drama. Maybe he was having a bad day, but still, I have never had a doctor treat me the way he did that day.
