Lemmys is a classic diner. Very relaxed with a high local following. I go a lot. The food and service is great. I highly recommend.

Our usual go-to in Sandusky was closed for their family vacation, so we mozied East to Lemmy's and were 100 percent satisfied.

Most generous perch sandwiches around...great value and tasty. Don't let the modest exterior fool you. Worth the visit.

AMBIANCE & CLEANLINESS: Very authentic look and decor inside and out. Music was not blasting (which we appreciated!). Booths are a bit uncomfortable. Not a big place so if you go during busy times you will probably have a longer wait. Things appeared clean. HOSTESS & SERVER: The host was friendly and sat us right away. Our server was very nice, she explained anything we had questions on. And checked on us several times throughout our time there. I believe this is a family business that works here together. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Chips & Salsa -- Taste: Delicious, crisp chips that are fresh and the salsa is perfect heat (not too spicy). Portion size: Great, you can have refills if needed. Price: $0 (complementary) #23 Enchiladas Jalisco -- Taste: This was the daily special, it was three cheese enchiladas topped with red sauce and shredded pork served with Mexican rice and refried beans and it was delicious. The enchiladas have great taste and the shredded pork is tender and perfect. The rice was balanced in flavors and the refried beans were some of the best we have had! True authentic Mexican food! Portion size: Normal compared to other similar restaurants of this style. Price: $10. and change (but this was the special, it is normally $11. and change). OVERALL THOUGHTS: Paid $40. and change (w/o tip included) which felt comparable to similar restaurants of this style (we drink water so no beverages just entrees). Server was very kind, service was fast. It's not a big place so it may be a wait if they are busy. Atmosphere is wonderful, music is at a good level that you can actually have a conversation. WOULD I RETURN? Yes, if we are in the area again. PLEASE NOTE: if you go to their website, the prices are NOT what is listed nor are the specials! The prices have increased by about an average of $3-4 (on each item). And the specials are not what are listed, I don't think they have updated their website in awhile.

Under new management, the place has continued the Martello family tradition of great, handcrafted food in a hometown setting, but with a bit of an updated vibe. First, they do a fantastic job with gluten free options, and the chef's specials are phenomenal, also often with a GF capability. They have an artisan pizza crust,; tortellini; penne; and a Parmesan cream sauce -- all GF! The pizza crust is really terrific - much more like a "real" crust (which, their regular pizza is something I miss!) and they provide you with topping options that go from routine to delectably less common. I highly recommend their specials -- the chef is super talented; I love the steak tips; chicken Marsala; and fennel sausage (when they have it). Gluten not an issue -- try everything!! The Caesar salad is quite good, and the house Italian dressing a tradition. Their staff is friendly (shout out to Christina and Kate, and my beautiful friend Angie) the bar staff (the awesome Staci and Diann) who are consistently rated best in the area; and upbeat manager Hailey is a delightful presence. You can't go wrong.

The atmosphere was lively and family-friendly, and they had a blast while we were there. It's definitely a spot that keeps kids entertained and makes it a little easier to relax as a parent. What truly stood out was the staff's integrity and kindness. I accidentally left my credit card there, and not only did they go out of their way to mail it back to me, they included a cute little Thirsty Pony drink coozie in the envelope. That was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch. Customer service like that really matters. The atmosphere and the way they handled my mistake absolutely left a positive impression. Thank you to the team for going above and beyond -- that kindness did not go unnoticed!

We didn't get any menus when first sat down so our server was scrambling a bit since the host kind of left us hanging. Our server was really great at keeping our cups full and putting in our order quickly. The food came out pretty fast which was really surprising but tasted pretty subpar. You really should come here for the vibes which were fun and lively! There's also a bowling alley, axe throwing, laser tag, at least 3 different sports bars/betting, arcade, AND a food truck outside with yard games. I ordered the cluck cluck burger which has bacon and an egg. The burger patty was pretty dry but it was saved by the egg. It comes on a pretzel bun which I loved! My nephew ordered a ton of apps instead of an entree and got the giant pretzel (cheese came out pretty dry with a hard top), onion rings, and the cheesesteak fries. He liked the fries the best, onion rings were good, but the pretzel was cold. My husband got chicken wings naked with three or so sauces on the side which weren't very good so I'd suggest getting them normally breaded. He also ordered a burger with sweet potatoes fries that were pretty good but his patty was also dry.
