The food is FIVE stars from what I had so far BUT I ordered the same thing twice. Deep fried Dungeness crab and garlic noodles. Not sure how they season it but each crab leg had a flavorful surprise! The customer service is greatly lacking. I asked to try a little sample of the sauce and it was like I asked for a free meal. A young girl (very good customer service) said "she bought a whole crab" like Just let her try it! So the adult begrudgingly allowed the girl to add a small sauce cup. So now it's the 2nd visit (yep it's that good) and no eye contact from the adult female at register because she was eyeballing her phone. Short wait but a dry "Miss your food & have a pleasant day" I asked for water, it's bad, very bitter, must be bad tap. There are bottled drinks available. Well I'll be back, 3rd times a charm right? I enjoyed the food. Major plus ... The restaurant is small. I went near closing. The service wasn't the best. Customer service might be non existent these days cause the waiter asked why I couldnt just finish my crab legs I had remaining vs taking them to go. Meh, food was mid, to be honest. Boyfriend and I ordered the combo #1. I'm pretty critical about how seafood is cooked, especially shrimp and crawfish. We got 1lb each of shrimp with head, crawfish, and mussels. The combo also came with one corn, some potatoes, and some sausage. The shrimps were mushy. The crawfishes were all mixed with either some fresh big ones to small frozen ones for sure. Quality was severely lacking. The only upside was that the mussel meat was good. Sausage was also lackluster. Don't even get me started on the sauce. It was sub par. And didn't have flavor that you would want in a Cajun style. It mostly was like butter and garlic? And some heat because we got hot. The only saving grace to the food was the deep fried Dungeness crab legs. The crab meat was very fresh and we loved the batter on them. I'm guessing the crab is their only best seafood, hence why it's called lemon CRAB. Service was good, really nothing to complain about. We didn't really need much assistance anyway. The outside decor was cute. The pink is very cute. The inside is small, so whatever. I don't understand how this place is so highly rated when the food is just sub par. Maybe an off day? I tried this place for the first time, and it was good, but okayyy. I came here because of tik tok and the hype, but it definitely isn't in my top list. Sauces are nice and flavorful, but seafood was subpar. Tasted like they weren't cleaned well, not fresh, and I can still taste the dirt on some seafood. Also really pricey... so I expect fresh and clean tasting seafood at least. Not trying to be mean, but I do want to give feedback so the family can improve on it. BEWARE SHADY BUSINESS!! This review is based on the sneaky service charge not the food, they sneak it in under "service charge". This so called charge added almost an additional $7 to the bill. My experience immediately changed from good to bad. I caught it and she removed it immediately. I tip but when you try to SNAKE it out of me you'll NEVER get my business again. I tipped $2 due to that and you've LOST me as a customer.. If you like Cajun food that's more towards the Chinese style, this is the place for you. The clam is very good with garlic butter as the sauce was awesome. Garlic noodle has very good taste. Clam chowder has celery and black pepper so it's different in a good way. Everyone was friendly as well! It is a smaller shack and we do feel like our food was less than 1 lb as we ordered. We've always ordered takeout from Lemon Crab, and every time the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Everything comes well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and packed generously -- they never miss. Even with takeout, the service has always been smooth and friendly, which says a lot. There was one time an item was missed from our order, and we came back the next day to pick it up. While it would've been nice if something small -- like a side of noodles -- had been added for the inconvenience, the staff was still kind and handled it without any issues. And the garlic noodles are FIRE -- hands down one of our favorite things to order. So flavorful and addictive, we get them every time. Hopefully one day we'll get to sit down and enjoy the experience in person, but until then, we'll happily keep ordering out. I reviewed the menu and even though I LOVE crab I opted for their lunch plate of fried fish filet over fried rice ($2 up charge) and an order of clam chowder. Unfortunately for me, my experience with these dishes were not up to par. There was a distinct after taste after each bite of the fish, egg roll, as well as the broccoli of all things that I gave up after a few bites. The clam chowder was decent which I did finish. I even had a cup of ice water that too had an after taste that I ended up asking for a soda, which I never drink. All in all, my hopes and excitement for this place were lost which I'm sorry to say I won't be visiting again anytime soon. read more

Hole in the wall seafood boil spot that Im super impressed by! I didnt realize that this little place tucked away in Hayward would have great flavor and fresh seafood (specifically shrimp!) I got a pound of shrimp with the house sauce and hot level of spice. It was indeed hot, even the waitress said "Omg idk how you can do hot, its too hot" hahah but it was delicious. So I found this gem on my yelp since I've been looking for a nearby good place to eat for some lobster rolls. I found lemon crab on my yelp which was 5 minutes from where I live. When I arrived I got lucky since there was still an available table. I will start with their service. A++++++++ They were very attentive, all smiles, greeted me as I walk in. My water was always filled up and just all in all an amazing service. As you might have guessed already, I ordered the Lobster roll. It came with two rolls which was more than enough for myself. It was very tasty and was cooked right. This is a small restaurant. They maybe have 6-8 tables. So be prepared to wait on a busy day. I would love to try their boils one of this day. I have ordered food from Lemon Crab twice. The first time I ordered 3 pounds of scallops with the mix of the three sauces....it was really delicious. The scallops weren't as large as I expected, but it was tasty and prices fair. I enjoy their sauce mix over local competitors. The second time I ordered the lobster rolls. This dish had soooo much potential; unfortunately, the lobster was overcooked and thus making it rubbery and difficult to enjoy. The seasoning used and the garlic sprinkled on top really complimented the roll, just wish the star of the dish was cooked properly. The order came with curly fries...I picky when it comes to fries, must be made right and still be hot or at least warm. These fries were legit! I mixed some mayo and ketchup and kilt (killed) them.
