Honestly I was sure what to expect when coming here I just thought shrimp and shrimp is always good right? I was wrong. We came as a family and asked what was recommended by the server she said the most expensive family combo meal on the menu so we got that and she said what flavors did we want and we said uhm just whatever isn't spicy, and she asked what sides we wanted and we said corn and potatoes. We also asked for headless shrimp, assuming that meant like clean peeled shrimp without heads. Then our drinks came out and only one had a lid on it with a straw, weird. And then the food came out literally all together in one plastic bag. I was willing to entertain it until I tried a piece of the whole potato in the bag aka one of the sides ordered and it was so SPICY IT MADE ME TEAR UP AND START COUGHING. My 1 1/2 year old refused to eat it either. And there I sat completely disappointed in the whole experience. I asked specifically that this isn't spicy at all right and the server assured me it wasn't. And the other side CORN we ordered was 4 corn cobs in the bag because we had four people in our party, COVERED in spicy seasonings. As for the shrimp, they literally just cut the heads off and left the legs and shells on them and the vein of poop in them was large! For me this wasn't very nice place to go to. They also made us pay for the meal upfront as soon as we ordered and I strongly feel like $200 was not worth this experience.

If you haven't been, you must give them a try. My goto spot for fried seafood is here. They have some of the best fried crab/fried prawns this side of the Bay I'd say. You can choose between lemon pepper, mild and spicy seasoning/breading...I ALWAYS go for lemon pepper & it's soooooo good! The fries are a side car to everything else, but the flavor and crisp to the fries is not to be overlooked. Flavor & seasoning is key at this place and they don't disappoint. They aren't on the low end price wise, but well worth it for sure. Cheers & Crab legs!!!!!!

I've known about this place for a while, but because of its location, I never had the chance to try it. Tonight we chose it to celebrate a friend's birthday. The dishes flavors were great and the seafood was very fresh, except for the head-on shrimp. The owner was very warm and friendly, and when she found out it was my friend's birthday, she even treated us to a plate of fried garlic noodles. The indoor seating area is on the small side, but it's clean. Dishes like this would still taste great as takeout, so next time I'll probably order to go.

The service was extremely disappointing. I went in around 12:14 PM on Saturday, and the staff did not greet me or acknowledge me at all. I had to walk up to the front desk myself and ask for a table while the employee was just sitting and looking at her phone. After I was seated, I waited about 20 minutes, but no one brought water or came to check on me. I had to call the staff myself just to place my order. When the food finally came, it was seafood, but they did not provide any utensils or anything I needed to eat properly. I looked over several times, but the staff continued chatting with each other and ignored me for another 10 minutes. The whole experience made me feel completely unwelcome and ignored. The staff did not seem to care at all from the moment I walked in until the end. I was very frustrated and disappointed. I would give 0 stars if that were possible.

Good seafood lunch specials M-F. The regular menu is available too. Staff is attentive and helpful. Tables are clean and comfortable. Stop by and see for yourself.

Got the fried dungeness crab legs w/mild seasoning, they were crispy, meaty & delicious. Can't wait to go back & get another order. Total price including tax $49+ without fries minus $1.

I've been ordering takeout from here for the past year, and the food has generally been good. My husband and I order at least once a week, as it's his go-to cheat meal. However, the last two times we've ordered, the crab has been inedible. It had a strange smell and an unpleasant taste that made it impossible to eat. We initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might have been because we ordered close to closing time, but that still doesn't justify serving old crab. Tonight, we decided to give them another chance, but unfortunately, the king crab was once again bad. You can see in the picture that it wasn't fresh, with an off texture. Additionally, the clam chowder tasted watered down, as if they had stretched it to make it last longer. We were really disappointed and ended up having to throw everything out except the shrimp. It's unfortunate, but this was the last straw for us. We won't be supporting a business that consistently fails in quality control -- especially when it comes to seafood!

Pretty solid seafood boil spot in San Leandro. We ordered garlic noodles, deep fried crab, and clams. The crab was really unique in that it was breaded like fried chicken. It was delicious BUT the breading was a bit much and could have been toned down a bit. We kept peeling it off and putting it to the side. The clams in the crabby crabby sauce was pretty delicious, but a little salty. It's a combo of the butter, garlic, and Cajun sauce. Good if you have a starch to go with it. Garlic noodles were okay. Super thick like udon noodles, not super garlicky unfortunately. Also, there was a long hair in it! Yuck. Besides that, this place was pretty good, but not great, especially compared to other favorites like Hang Ten in Alameda.

Food was good!! I had a combo buy 3 lbs of shrimp get 1 for free! My kiddos f'd it up!!!! They enjoyed the shrimp so much! And they NEVER eat shrimp! My kids will only eat shrimp if it's from crabby crabby! We had a good amount that lasted us couple days. The guy over the phone helped me save money by offering the combo and told me I get a free 1lb of shrimp if I order 3lbs of shrimp. Comes with sides and don't forget to order your rice on the side. Crabby crabby I'm coming back . Maybe 1x a week to get a 4lb combo for my kids to last us couple days!

You can see that the bag is wide open and the container inside is wide open as well.

Easy to order... food was tasty but a bit expensive. Next time I'll likely try the fried crab legs. The boiled with the sauce was messy.

A long-overdue review!…read more My husband and I had dinner here when it had just opened, almost seven years ago. Looking through old photos recently brought back memories, and I realized I never got around to sharing our experience. We had a wonderful time--the food was delicious, the service was great, and overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience. While I never made it back, my husband has visited a few times with friends and always had good things to say. The main reason we haven't returned as a family is because both of our boys (now adults) are allergic to seafood, and I usually prefer having them with us when we dine out. But after seeing these photos again, I think it's finally time for another visit and see if it's just as good as I remember!

Dear Manager, I…read morewould like to share my experience at your restaurant today. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the way I was treated by the host, Mirella. When I arrived, I politely asked for a table in an area that was clearly available. The restaurant was basically empty at the time, but Mirella gave me what appeared to be one of the worst tables in the restaurant. When I asked about getting a different table, her attitude toward me was rude and unwelcoming. I understand that restaurants have seating policies and that sometimes certain tables may be reserved, but I believe customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect. In this situation, I felt that I was treated unnecessarily poorly, especially considering that there were plenty of other tables available. I am not writing this complaint to cause trouble for anyone. I simply believe management should be aware of how customers are being treated. I hope you can look into this situation and make sure that guests are welcomed and treated respectfully regardless of which table they request. Thank you for taking the time to hear my concern. And by the way the food and the server were great Except the host Mirella Thank you

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.

The restaurant itself is not too big with several tables outside and on the right inside. Since it's a hot day, it was difficult to sit outside. It's an open kitchen concept so you can kind of see your food being prepared. Ordering food was easy and took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. I ordered the catfish with oysters and Cajun fries. The fish tasted fishy but the oysters were good, even though kind of small. Some of the fries tasted hot and fresh while others were kind of cold. I assumed the were mixed together. One thing I didn't like is the faucet in the bathroom that would not turn off. It's very wasting of water. When I asked the employee, I was told that it would eventually turn off. However I went in there twice to check and both times it was still on.
