The combo #2 my girlfriend and I had was cooked very well, had a great mix of flavors (got the "Crabby Crabby" mild mix sauce), and the ambiance gave away a homey vibe. Crabby Crabby was a disappointment. We ordered the catfish with fries and a seafood combo (calamari, prawns, catfish, and oysters). The catfish and fries were the only things worth eating -- crispy and actually good. Everything else? Low tier. The calamari was unevenly fried, the prawns were forgettable, and the oysters were the worst part. Instead of whole deep‑fried oysters, they gave us several oysters that had been chopped into halves and even quarters, turning into little oyster nuggets -- and those nuggets were fried way too hard, so you don't even get the real oyster experience. I've never seen anyone cut oysters like that. Overall, the food gets a C from me. I'm curious about their crab boil, but not curious enough to waste my money and risk another letdown. If you haven't been, you must give them a try. My goto spot for fried seafood is here. They have some of the best fried crab/fried prawns this side of the Bay I'd say. You can choose between lemon pepper, mild and spicy seasoning/breading...I ALWAYS go for lemon pepper & it's soooooo good! Honestly I was sure what to expect when coming here I just thought shrimp and shrimp is always good right? I was wrong. We came as a family and asked what was recommended by the server she said the most expensive family combo meal on the menu so we got that and she said what flavors did we want and we said uhm just whatever isn't spicy, and she asked what sides we wanted and we said corn and potatoes. We also asked for headless shrimp, assuming that meant like clean peeled shrimp without heads. Then our drinks came out and only one had a lid on it with a straw, weird. And then the food came out literally all together in one plastic bag. I was willing to entertain it until I tried a piece of the whole potato in the bag aka one of the sides ordered and it was so SPICY IT MADE ME TEAR UP AND START COUGHING. My 1 1/2 year old refused to eat it either. And there I sat completely disappointed in the whole experience. I asked specifically that this isn't spicy at all right and the server assured me it wasn't. And the other side CORN we ordered was 4 corn cobs in the bag because we had four people in our party, COVERED in spicy seasonings. As for the shrimp, they literally just cut the heads off and left the legs and shells on them and the vein of poop in them was large! For me this wasn't very nice place to go to. I've known about this place for a while, but because of its location, I never had the chance to try it. Tonight we chose it to celebrate a friend's birthday. The dishes flavors were great and the seafood was very fresh, except for the head-on shrimp. The owner was very warm and friendly, and when she found out it was my friend's birthday, she even treated us to a plate of fried garlic noodles. The indoor seating area is on the small side, but it's clean. Dishes like this would still taste great as takeout, so next time I'll probably order to go. read more

The service was extremely disappointing. I went in around 12:14 PM on Saturday, and the staff did not greet me or acknowledge me at all. I had to walk up to the front desk myself and ask for a table while the employee was just sitting and looking at her phone. After I was seated, I waited about 20 minutes, but no one brought water or came to check on me. I had to call the staff myself just to place my order. When the food finally came, it was seafood, but they did not provide any utensils or anything I needed to eat properly. I looked over several times, but the staff continued chatting with each other and ignored me for another 10 minutes. The whole experience made me feel completely unwelcome and ignored. I've been ordering takeout from here for the past year, and the food has generally been good. My husband and I order at least once a week, as it's his go-to cheat meal. However, the last two times we've ordered, the crab has been inedible. It had a strange smell and an unpleasant taste that made it impossible to eat. We initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might have been because we ordered close to closing time, but that still doesn't justify serving old crab. Tonight, we decided to give them another chance, but unfortunately, the king crab was once again bad. You can see in the picture that it wasn't fresh, with an off texture. Additionally, the clam chowder tasted watered down, as if they had stretched it to make it last longer. We were really disappointed and ended up having to throw everything out except the shrimp. Pretty solid seafood boil spot in San Leandro. We ordered garlic noodles, deep fried crab, and clams. The crab was really unique in that it was breaded like fried chicken. It was delicious BUT the breading was a bit much and could have been toned down a bit. We kept peeling it off and putting it to the side. The clams in the crabby crabby sauce was pretty delicious, but a little salty. It's a combo of the butter, garlic, and Cajun sauce. Good if you have a starch to go with it. Garlic noodles were okay. Super thick like udon noodles, not super garlicky unfortunately. Also, there was a long hair in it! Yuck. We got combo A which came with shrimp , mussels, and clams, we chose the hot spicy level. They make you pay when you order here, maybe they have had problems with dine n dashers? The food came out really quick, less than 10 min, super hot and fresh. The shrimp was still soft and not over cooked. The mussels were large and juicy, we only got 1 cup of rice but probably should have gotten two, they are super generous with sauce and you will definitely have leftovers. I looked up fish restaurant and they were close and I remembered watching an IG review about this establishment so I looked up the menu and called in a fried combo which consist of Fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, and calamari with Fries. I arrived at this no frills dive restaurant, paid $28, and waited about 15 minutes before I got a heavy bag of food. I mean it had to be 4 lbs of fried food. Hungry tail!!!! Lol I couldn't see myself trying just one item so I got all the fried goodness at once. They have a after fry seasoning that you can choose from mild, hot, or lemon pepper.. I chose HOT. First look I think they fried was a little hard and dark. The fish definitely was dark. The oysters were well fried but calamari had a hit or Miss thing going on. The first calamari ring was definitely over cooked but the second one was better. This would be a good thing to share while out being bad after cocktails- so much food but the delicate nature of seafood needs to cooked properly. I have been a pretty regular customer for this restaurant since they opened. Today I ordered DoorDash and when my DoorDash arrived my bag was wide open with no consideration for the safety of me as a customer and my food being exposed to a stranger. The bag was wide open and the container that held my food was wide open. I called in advance and expressed my safety concerns and asked if they would just remake my food and I would come in to exchange it. The person on the phone specifically told me that he would go ahead and start remaking my food so that by the time I got there I would be able to pick it up. I would've been happy to just exchange my food and not cancel the DoorDash order but when I arrived they had not even started making my food. Since this was now becoming a takeout order and I didn't want to be charged the DoorDash delivery fee I said I would dispute the DoorDash order and leave my card information with the restaurant so that if DoorDash does refund my money, they can charge my card. The woman who I'm guessing is the owner refused to do that, and she gave me back my original food that I expressed I was uncomfortable with and didn't feel safe consuming. Needless to say I left the food there and I will never go into this restaurant ever again. I will absolutely never be ordering DoorDash from this restaurant and most likely no more DoorDash in general because of the safety concerns I have around my food. DONT ORDER DOORDASH FROM HERE and if you do call ahead and tell them to tie that ish up ahead of time!! As an update, this woman was demanding that I pay again before giving me the remade food and DoorDash actually initially declined to refund my order. If I had gone along with what this woman was suggesting I would have had to pay twice. Luckily I escalated it and was fully refunded but that just goes to show that her customer service was terrible and it's the main reason I will never be back. My family and I were so excited to have our end of the year seafood boil dinner. This was our first time trying this Crabby Crabby location and this will also be the last. We ordered muscles in our seafood boil but there were no muscles. We also ordered a pound of headless shrimp but only found a few at the bottom of the bag. We got caught up in the excitement of receiving our food that we didn't notice all that was missing until the end (plus we had our toddlers with us) We also got sweet potato fries and fried shrimp with regular fries.
