Overly obsessed with this place…read more I'm not local to Cleveland, but after reading all the amazing online reviews, I decided to bring my family here--and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is small, cozy, and intimate, but also incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. We were greeted immediately, seated right away, and given menus. Our orders were taken quickly, and the service throughout our visit was absolutely outstanding. One thing that really stood out was the teamwork. Everyone helped each other, whether they were working in the front or in the kitchen. You could genuinely tell they cared about creating a great experience for every customer, and that level of hospitality is hard to find. Now for the food... wow. This is easily one of my favorite places I've eaten while visiting Cleveland. I ordered the steak breakfast bowl, and let me tell you--do yourself a favor and order it! The steak was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the butter croissant with bacon, which was a huge hit, and the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was absolutely phenomenal--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly some of the best fried chicken I've had. Our only regret was not ordering extra chicken because we wanted even more! If you're looking for incredible food paired with exceptional service, this is the place. I truly hope this business is around for many years to come because every time I'm back in Cleveland, they'll definitely be seeing me again. Highly, highly recommend!

This was one of the best wraps I've ever had. So fresh! My girl friend, a vegetarian, had a falafel wrap. Two good sized falafels were cut in half, placed on the spinach tortilla, and veggies added. She really liked it. Drinks are in a cooler. This is a No Cash business. Downtown Bedford. We walked down to the town park and found a bench where we ate. Very nice.

Menu is salads, wraps, bowls. They are vegan and vegetarian with some meat options. So anyone can eat there. We got 2 wraps. The big tuna and the hummus wrap. Both were very large and filling and delicious. The tuna has vegan mayo which you can't tell and it has lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peppers and I subbed out olives instead of onions, plus vegan feta which was good too with a lemon basil dressing. No complaints it was very good. And very large. Big as a chipotle burrito. My partner got a hummus wrap filled with lots of veggies and she loved it. It was a red pepper type hummus. Again, very good! I didn't try the salads maybe next time. But I was super impressed with the wrap. It was filling and chock full. The staff was nice. Very accommodating with questions and trying to make a good wrap. It's a cute little shop. Patronize this place it needs to be here. Parking is in downtown Bedford so park wherever you can. Prices for salads are in the $14 range it's no meat. Add a few bucks for meats or more. Wraps are $10.50-$17 range. Try it. You'll like it!

Mary, the owner runs the front of the house along with the only server, Sarah. They are the nicest people you could ever meet. Mary is a fanatic for cleanliness. The place is always spotless. Mary's husband Oscar runs the kitchen. As a matter of fact, he is the entire kitchen, all by himself. He does a fantastic job. I have never had to wait for my order. It is always hot and taste great. The dining room is really small. Maybe 10 or 12 tables. Always filled with regulars. But if you show up they'll find room for you. Oh, by the way, they only take cash. There's an ATM on premises. Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. They have a great drink menu- coffee, specialty cocoas, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and refreshers. I was on my way to see a friend, so I grabbed us each a refresher to go. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too. I often want a spirited drink but don't imbibe booze often. I love that they have offerings. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

Nice crowd for a Thursday afternoon. Hostess is also the cashier. She gave us menus. Then we waited about 15 mins till a server came with silverware. She took our order. A chicken salad sandwich and the special chicken paprikash. I wanted to try it. Then we waited some more. At least 20 mins to get our drinks. Water with lemon. Then another 30 mins for food. It was hot when we got it. So it was fresh. Just took forever. I also got a cup of soup with my paprikash so I chose the mushroom barley. It was very thick, almost stew like. Lots of barley but not too many mushrooms. It was ok. Wouldn't get it again. The paprikash was ok. It's a ok portion. Not heaping. Ok though. It tasted ok too. Not too much distinct flavor. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again. Mom's chicken salad on wheat was just ok too. For the more than hour we waited to get our food, this was not a great experience. When we went to pay the hostess cashier was MIA and we waited. We were going to pay via cc but decided we did not want to wait any longer and just gave cash. I couldn't even flag someone down to tell them I left the bill by the register. No one there. Not sure if help was the issue. Probably was. Too many customers and not enough wait staff. Or just on their own time. Server seemed surprised we wanted to go boxes and our bill. But I got to get back to work and at this rate I was out of the office more than 1 hr 45 mins. Family place. Long time establishment. Good prices for a family. I don't want to knock. But this was a bit too far for me. I can't wait for my lunch for more than an hour. It may be awhile before I try again.

So it is clear I love Tommy's, a famous and long established healthy-ish option in Cleveland Heights, as do many others. Back when I was on keto for 2 years straight, I got their salads and now that I've been off keto for 3 years, I stop in for a milkshake or an order of fries from time to time. Parking is abundant in the free garage across the street and there is usually a wait for a table. However, I have never taken my boyfriend to Tommy's in the 2 years we have been together - every time we have tried, it's been a holiday and they are closed. However, we finally dined here for a Sunday lunch in August of 2026 and as usual, I had a 5 star experience! He did too, BTW. Tip of the day - my bf and I skipped the line by sitting at the counter which was a super win as we also got to people watch and observe the chefs at work. Yay! The menu is huge and the prices are weird but everything is yummy and fresh. My chunky butt got the "Josh" milkshake- a cookie dough and banana milkshake of delicious sugary goodness ($7.80). It's my favorite milkshake! We shared a generous order of unsalted fries ($4.99) and dipped them in malt vinegar like champions. I've had both the milkshake and fries before but ordered something new for my main. My bf then got the "silver" corned beef pita sandwich ($14.30) and I got the falafel pita sandwich ($12.10). Soooooo good! And by the time our fresh pitas came out, I was getting full so I got to bring home leftovers! Another win! I do think my bill of nearly $50 was a bit too high but we had a good time and I did recently read that the monthly rent on this place is 7k, so I can see why the prices keep going up and up. Definitely make Tommy's a stop on your itinerary if you're in Cleveland!
