I came in with a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with a P0744 code, that's notoriously difficult to pinpoint what is wrong. I did a good amount of research for a transmission specialist and I am so glad I came to Jeff. I was so anxious about this issue because I've had a very expensive rebuilt transmission put in. He gave me a thorough diagnostic at a pretty inexpensive price. He was very clear in explaining the issue, how it affects the car, and options for repairs. He recommended a double fluid flush as the cheapest first option, and explained what would happened if it didn't work. I really appreciated the honesty and his kindness. I walked out to my car after last weeks rain and noticed my rear tire was flat. Never changed a tire bf and lugnuts would not budge. I was stranded and realized Lemon Grove Transmission was nearby. My 07 Silverado 1500 6.0 had oil leaks from oil pan and rear main seal but needed to confirm. It's tough finding a honest mechanic shop these days. I checked out shops I saw in commercials and had spent $165 for an inspection and quotes that will break the bank. Then I came across Lemon Grove Transmissions submitted an online quote form and next day Jeff called and we discussed the issue and after speaking with Jeff and his experience on Chevy trucks engines and transmissions I decided to bring it at his shop for an assessment. After his free assessment it was confirmed of the leaks and he provided a quote that will not break the bank. I was amazed after a day my truck was ready. They also checked and ensure intake, sensors, spark plugs and transmission lines bolts were tightened to specs and a few days later a follow up letter making sure all is good. I was treated to exceptional customer service All phone calls were returned quickly I was kept informed as the repair was done I felt that I was dealing with very honest people The only little concern was when I picked up the finished vehicle They do not accept checks I wish they would have made that clear before I got there The amount of bill was greater than the daily limit on my card The payment would not go through my bank for that reason I tried to get the daily limit raised but ended up in a mess of a situation with my bank Not Lemon Grove's doing Finally I went to a local branch of my Bank to withdraw the payment amount As of this review I have put several thousand miles on the truck The installed transmission is better than expected Much better than the one that failed ever was That transmission had been rebuilt during the time it was owned by original owner The transmissions in Gen 3 Dodge Ram trucks are a definite weak feature I got a heavy duty rebuilt one now with extra internal clutches and a triple disc torque converter I highly recommend Lemmon Grave Transmission read more

I wish I could have wrote a great review but I cant with this place. I came to this shop because of the great reviews. However mine experience was not so great. I had a transmission brought to them for a rebuild. I installed it on my car. Now third and fourth had a knocking sound. Inconveniently removed the transmission and brought it back to them. To rule out that I did something wrong in the installation, I installed another used transmission onto the car. It ran fine. So I kept this one in the car. Four days later, the front desk guys calls and informs me that they cannot find anything wrong with the transmission. He said adding more shims to the mainshaft could work. No assurance there. Im not going to swap transmissions to see if the knocking sounds are are gone. I am not making a review on the front desk guy. He is very professional. Great guy to talk to. I assume he is not the tech who is working on the transmission. This was an expensive loss. The warranty will end by the time the other transmission goes out. All in all, I just wished they could have provided me the first time a transmission with no issues. That's all I was asking. read more

Took the car in for a tune up, front brakes, front wheel alignment, oil change. They didn't turn the rotors, they talked the oil filter on, driver side panel was flapping in the wind and now I have no electrical components working to roll down the windows to open up the back hatch nothing!! The battery died, AAA came out gave me a new one and now it's looking like it's the alternator! Seriously had no issues with my car before I took it to the shop!! So pissed you have no idea!! Took our 1998 Suzuki SideKick (4door) in to Jeff and his fellas at Lemon Grove Transmission. They do it all, not just transmissions. Our poor little beast had not been serviced in some long time and would not exceed 40 mph, no matter how much we whipped it. LG Transmission put in premium front brakes, ceramic w/ hardware, a good used ASB pump (remember this is 24 year old heavily used ute), changed the oil and filter, new wiper blades, new platium spark plugs, new engine air cleaner filter and a bunch of other small stuff. Fantastic! Price was better-than-reasonable. These guys know how to work and do it right! Could not be happier with the power and agility back in the old Suzuki. Car had a broken water pump and completely failed while I was driving it. I had no idea what was going on. Took it here to get looked at. They also did a complete inspection of an other issues.
