    Country style pad thai, shrimp

My family of 4 and a friend was visiting Harvard Musuem of Natural History and my boys got hungry after our visit. We yelped and found this small mom & pop restaurant hidden in a residential area. It's a small restaurant of maybe about 5-6 tables. It was an awkward greeting when we first entered as the owner (?) asked what we wanted. I told her we needed a table for 5 and she told us to order and pay first. My first impression was negative but the overall service and food was good. We ordered the following; 1. 2-Lemon thai wings (6 pcs each): the wings were very crispy but there is flavor to it but there is sauce on side to dip. My boys enjoyed this. 2. Thai veggie curry puff: i enjoyed this as it reminded me of a Vietnamese pate chaud. 3. Tom yum hot & sour soup, chicken: hubby says it was a good, perfect balance of sweet & sour, slightly spicy 4. Khao muh gai tod: the chicken is crispy but the rice is dried. The flavor is plain but there is a sauce on side to dip. 5. Country style pad thai, shrimp: my 12yo says it was favorful but more on sweeter side. The noodles were chewey as we like it, but he says it was a little hard. I tasted it and I think its the type of noodles and not that it's undercooked. 6. Crazy noodles, chicken: It has a nice spicy kick to it and the noodles were cooked just right to the texture, chewey but not soft and the veggies eere not overcooked. 7. Crispy chicken hot basil: There is a good spicy kick and it is very flavorful. The most flavorful of the dishes we ordered. However, it had only onions and peppers. More variety of veggies would've been nice. Although some plates were lightly seasoned or had no flavor, the side sauce helped made it more flavorful and the food was good in general. The owner is nice despite the initial greeting and she was accommodating to us. She asked if we wanted the appetizers first or have it come out thr same time with the rest of the food, brought water our for us and didn't want me to stand by to wait for it, and

All you need to know is that I went twice this week. I love the food here. My go to is the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I get it with a side of red chili sauce. I also order the Thai rolls that have a veggie filling. Last, but not least, you have to drink it down with a Thai ice tea. A must try for Thai food lovers!

Was in work and went to go order from Similans (our go to at work) and they have permanently closed, so another co-worker suggested here! OMG so glad they did, Ordered on Grub Hub, than ran over & picked it up. SOO GOOD, Pad that was light & flavorful without being greasy! All the apps were good, you know they are always slightly greasy but these were packed with flavor! Cant wait to go back & get more!

I ordered on Uber eats. The pad Thai with crispy chicken and Thai iced tea were soo good. They gave a good amount of chicken and the dish arrived nice and hot. The iced tea had the perfect amount of sweetness my only complaint was that there was no tape over the lid of the to-go cup. Which caused the drink to spill a bit and I'm not sure if it was tampered with, it'd be easy for someone to drink from it before it arrived. Other than that, everything was great

I added the cilantro to the pad Thai, it was so flavorful and good best one I've tried in Boston yet! We also got Indonesia Fried Rice which was good but not spicy at all although I think it's supposed to be. The crispy chicken on both tasted like chicken katsu!

Food was mid. Not real Thai food. I've had better for less. The star is for the Thai iced tea would not recommend or buy again.

The miso broth was not bad, but the miso flavor dominated the rich pork broth, so I got less of the pork flavor. The noodles were firm, but I was disappointed with the scant toppings. My bowl only had 1 thin fish cake, 3 bamboo strips, and few wood ear mushroom strings (1 star off). Even the pork piece was small, about the size of 3 bamboo strips. Most other ramen places I have been to include an abundance of toppings or even a soft-boiled egg. I guess the ramen bowl here could fill a craving, but not one I would go out of my way for. One annoying thing that happened with us is that our waiter gave us the runaround to get an advertised $1 discount with a student ID (1 star off). My son showed his student ID and then the waiter said we have to download their app too. I downloaded it, but then he said the app account needs to be in my son's name. I then changed the account to my son's name and showed him. Then the waiter said the email needs to be his school email address. Eh, nowhere on Earth does a *restaurant* marketing app requires a student's school email address. Then he started asking if my son goes to college or high school, and that he needs to clear with his manager if a high school ID is okay. At this point, it just seems like he was trying to make things extra difficult for us. He eventually said he got "permission" from his manager to apply the $1 discount for my son's high school ID. Good Lord -- this is not worth it at this point and left a negative impression about the establishment.
