Food was okay. It was served kind of cold so I don't think I'd come back for food. I'd come back for a pastry and coffee. My pistachio rose cold foam latte was delicious

Catering for our institute's tea break. I've always thought Tatte was just so-so, and this time was no exception. Cheese Boureka: The pastry was nicely layered, thin and crispy, crumbling with every bite; the ricotta also softened the fermented taste of the feta, still a bit sour overall but with a rich milky aroma. However, I found this bread a little dry, especially the inside was a bit hard. Perhaps it was because it had been sitting outside for a while.

Decent coffee shop with lots of fun pasties to try. Service was exceptional. Ambiance is a little chaotic but overall fun.

While visiting the Harvard campus, we stumbled upon Tatte Bakery and decided to stop in. I usually order a matcha latte, but I was severely disappointed this time--it tasted like watered down grass, lacking the rich, smooth flavor I expected. The bakery was bustling with customers dining in and taking out, but despite the crowd, I didn't quite understand the hype around it. Overall, it felt overrated based on my experience.

The food is really nice, I had the best pistachio croissant, and their house latte is really nice. With the price, i like to think its Starbucks 2.0. The service is really nice, the employees are very knowledgeable about the menu, and they recommended me good combinations for my drinks. In terms of ambience, I like to eat outside, where I watch the boards, and its so peaceful seeing the city works in the morning.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after exploring Harvard. The line took about 20 minutes for me to get to the register. It was a little difficult to find seating for 4 people, and we waited until a table left before sitting down. I'm not sure if clearing tables is the customer's responsibility or the staff, but the lunch plates were never cleared in the hour I spent there to enjoy my pastries and drinks. The pastries were by far the star of the show, deliciously sweet and decadent without being too sugary, and we chose the sugar vanilla donut and the morning bun (their cinnamon roll). As you can see, my group snapped it up before I could grab a pic! However their drinks left much to be desired. I had the tatte house latte and I thought that the cinnamon was overwhelming and the other flavors (cardamom, honey) were faint. My mom simply had a latte and she said it was mediocre. My little brother's mango mint refresher was decent, and so was my uncle's cappuccino. The coffee itself didn't shine through either. They do offer oat milk substitutes which was nice. I will say that the interior was nice, location is convenient, and as is with all popular places, it gets particularly busy on the weekends.

A friend and I ordered two drinks: an Iced matcha latte and the tatte house latte! The tatte house latte surprised me so much! It has a cinnamon-like taste, and it was subtly sweet, just the way I like it. The matcha latte was pleasing to look at it especially with the logo written in cursive. The taste was equally very good! Service was kind and quickly responsive! There were a lot of families around noon on a Sunday. A couple of accidental spills occurred yet the staff and the people there were able to help each other, so already the environment felt quite friendly and supportive in this regards! In spite of the gloomy day, the interior lighting created a warm, kind atmosphere.

I had high expectations for this chain cafe, but it ended up being a very disappointing experience, even though the dining environment is great. Unfortunately, the food did not feel worth the money I paid.

great place with great ambiance. staffs are so friendly and polite. for foods... 1. fresh corn and avocado farro bowl: love it!!! like all body needs were fully covered due to their ingredients and mostly, they use all fresh and from the scratch 2. smoked salmon and avocado tartine: so good and the salmon is yummy 3. pistachio croissant: flaky which is great!!! the pistachio itself so good and right sweet 4. pineapple passion fruit matcha bombe: must try!!! love the taste though, can taste the matcha flavor cause not that sweet and suddenly when you scoop the filing which is passion fruit, a bit sour but by mixing them all, you can not stop eating it 5. white peach and mint tea cooler: for me, just ok love this place and will come back for sure when i visit east coast again...

Very long line but interesting latte offerings (Black Sesame Latte and Pistachio Latte) Enjoyed the muffins as well, ordered a tumeric muffin and a blueberry muffin! Other than the long line really enjoyed the morning stop here. Hope to return

Very delicious place, i like everything just by looking at all the food. Their cannolis place is always crowded and the manage to have everything very clean and the food presentation was very good also, i tried just a few things and everything was delicious, the staff is fast but the food is not, any ways by the time you find a table you food will be ready, price was reasonable i think. Honestly is totally a must in Boston.

Tatte Bakery & Café has a ton of locations around Boston, so I figured I'd give it a try. As a disclaimer, this was my first time trying Mediterranean food (and also my last). I was feeling adventurous and ordered a few things I'd never heard of, but honestly, this was probably the worst food and drink experience I've ever had. I didn't finish a single dish, which says a lot because I'm usually very against wasting food. The food was at least edible, but the honey halva latte was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted, and that's coming from someone who regularly drinks black coffee. Very disappointing for my first meal in Boston.

Summer flavors of their tea coolers- peach mint on the right, mango ginger on the left
    Carrie F.

Tatte, we sure liked you a latte! Visited Boston/Cambridge for 28 hours on our girls' adventures in New England! After wandering around Harvard, we grabbed an amazing lunch at Latte in Harvard Square! We each had the summer drink specials- faves were the white peach and mint tea, mango and ginger tea! Our plates were perfect- absolutely perfect- the crunchy halloumi salad was the best salad I've had in many moons- I think of it too often! My friends went the sandwich route with filling options of the turkey avocado and the short rib grilled cheese. As a sweet treat, we shared a vanilla lime krembo- if you have a sweet tooth, you're going to love this- the lime curd center was the cat's meow for me! There are many Tatte locations, but to be able to enjoy the sunshine and delicious treats across the way from the gates of Harvard University... well, there isn't a better spot!

Staff do not read their tickets carefully and as a result deliver food orders to the wrong customer. Is it really that difficult?

Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful and even with a line out the door, they were able to keep things moving smoothly. They also gave us small chai samples while we waited to be helped (the chai was spicy and not overly sweet). The baklava and kataifi were perfect -- no notes. Baklava had a great ratio of flaky pastry layers to walnuts. Each bite had the right about of crunch and nuttiness. The amount of syrup used was just right also. Kataifi struck a similarly great balance: a crunchy and sweet shredded wheat exterior rounded out by the richness of pistachios. I wish I could come here all the time and try everything. Definitely keeping this place bookmarked for any future trips to Boston.

Both were shared and I got a baklava for my personal treat. I'll be back again very soon!

We also tried a pistachio macaron. On the second visit, we tried a red velvet whoopie pie and a pistachio cannoli. The cannoli's are fire. The shell is thick, crispy and they hold up. They're stuffed with sweet creamy ricotta. It's a perfect pairing of soft cream and a hard shell. This location had a few bar seats available at the window and against the wall. There's a huge window of sweet treats on display. I definitely recommend visiting, try a cannoli and get something to go. They have everything from lobster tails to Boston cream pie. Located on Dunster Street, the shop is designed for efficiency, with a straightforward layout that keeps the line moving even during busy hours. There are a few counter seats inside, but it's primarily a grab-and-go destination where most people leave carrying one of the bakery's signature string-tied pastry boxes. The cannolis are the main reason to visit, and they certainly live up to their reputation in terms of size. The classic chocolate chip cannoli is generously filled from end to end with a rich, sweet ricotta cream, while the crisp shell provides just the right amount of crunch. If you're looking for something a little different, the Florentine cannoli is an excellent choice. Its honey-nut shell adds an extra layer of texture and a subtle caramelized flavor that pairs beautifully with the creamy filling. Beyond the cannolis, the bakery offers an impressive selection of Italian pastries, cookies, cakes, and other desserts. The lobster tails are another popular option, with flaky layers surrounding a rich cream filling, and the display cases are filled with enough variety to make it difficult to choose just one item. Prices are a bit higher than your average neighborhood bakery, but the portions are generous enough that many pastries can easily be shared. Service is quick and efficient, with staff focused on keeping the line moving throughout the day. Since seating is limited, it's worth taking your pastries to nearby Harvard Yard or the Charles River, where you can enjoy them at a more relaxed pace. Mike's Pastry may be best known for its North End flagship, but the Cambridge location delivers the same oversized cannolis and classic Italian desserts in a much more convenient setting. Whether you're craving the original chocolate chip cannoli or one of their many other pastries, it's an easy stop whenever you're spending time around Harvard Square.
