Despite a staffing shortage that the gracious host/waitress openly acknowledged, the welcome felt sincere and unhurried. There was a brief moment of confusion at the podium--clearly marked for carryout yet silent on dine-in options--but we were promptly invited to sit wherever we pleased. Our server, Jane, proved an absolute gem: attentive, professional, and deeply knowledgeable about the menu. She navigated us through the spice-level system (regrettably unexplained on the printed menu itself) with patience and enthusiasm. A thoughtful arrangement of house sauces and bright pickled jalapeños arrived early, each one layered and complex, elevating every dish in its own distinctive way. The chef even stepped out briefly to offer a cheerful thumbs-up, a touching gesture that spoke volumes about the heart behind the kitchen. Jane's warm backstory only deepened our appreciation for this hardworking family operation. The Thai iced coffee was nothing short of revelatory--one of the finest restaurant coffees I've encountered. Served in an impressively tall glass, it arrived darker and more robust than the menu photo suggested, with intense coffee and mocha notes woven into a silky, almost dessert-like richness. While the noodle-to-protein ratio felt slightly skewed toward the former, the overall texture and bold heat made it a strong contender. Yet the undisputed star of the evening was the Red Curry. Creamy, profoundly aromatic, and layered with spice and coconut richness, this was curry elevated to art. One could happily sip it by the bowlful. My husband, enjoying his first true Thai curry, declared it life-changing--he now demands it on repeat.
