We were visiting the Columbus GA area and saw Wasabi Sushi and decided "yes" we are definitely in the mood for sushi. I had the General Tso Chicken with fried Rice. You can order the different spice levels from 1-5. I wasn't in the mood for hot tonight so I ordered the 3 spicy level and It was perfect. The flavor was spot on and very tasty. After sending back the first appetizer it was apparent not to send back the others as they acted like they didn't understand and we never did get the appetizer until the entrees had come out and they were cold. This is me and my boyfriend's favorite location and lunch spot. There is a lot of average & not so good sushi places in Columbus. This place is mediocre, but still tasty. The customer and the atmosphere makes up for it. I usually order the steak hibachi, it is cook how i like it. The Thai entrees is not so good, nor authentic. They absolutely re fry old food here. The crust didn't stay on my katsu which was completely different from my orders from the Whittlesey location. Salad dressing was different and the vegetable tempura came out cold with barely any tempura on it. It was drenched in oil all of it. Nasty When i sent it back they sent back the same old tempura JUST BURNED. We made them take it off the check. My husband got sick from his teriyaki dish and was in the bathroom for some time. The restaurant is pretty spacious and clean. Despite coming during peak dinner hours on a Saturday night, my group was able to get a table. A friend and I ordered the Loveboat for Two, and we enjoyed nearly every piece on it. The quality of the sushi was great. However, at a price of $45, is very steep for how much you get. You're paying more for the presentation of the food. Props to the presentation on all of their dishes. One negative part of the experience was one member of the group received his food roughly 15-20 mins after everyone else had received their food. They explained that it was because the size of the group, which was a bit understandable. Overall, Columbus doesn't have much to offer for sushi, but Wasabi is worth checking out to solve your sushi cravings. I would give this visit a rating of a 3.5 rather than a 3 if I could. read more

We have not been to this restaurant in a couple years. Yesterday was my wife's birthday and she wanted to give it another try. It was a Tuesday evening and the place was rather empty but it took quite a while to be seated. We sat for about 10 to 12 minutes before a waitress in another section asked if we had been waited on to which my wife replied that we haven't. Not even drinks. Finally, I ordered shrimp and scallops, my wife ordered the filet. The food was delicious and plentiful. Well worth waiting for. We barely saw our waitress after she delivered the food and she dropped by our check on the way to another table without asking if there were anything else we wanted. I got her attention as she fled from another table and told her that I wanted a Thai iced tea which she assumed was to go but I simply wanted it as an after dinner treat. I've been stationed here for a few years, and have always loved good sushi. This place has the freshest sashimi grade fish in a 100 mile radius from what I can find. Most places in this town take advantage of the military clientele not knowing good food, and overcharge. Here the price is actually worth the good sushi, skip the fancy rolls and just get sashimi. The servers aren't exactly nice or polite, but they give you good food and they have Sapporo on draft, so I frankly don't care. Setting is super nice and they play peaceful music that isn't annoying, usually soft jazz or classical. If you're gonna eat out this may be one of the only places in town to do it. read more
