This family owned restaurant is bringing a taste of Italy to several locations. We came to the one in Hollywood. It is inspired in the amalfi coast because of all the lemons and fresh flavors. We came during the week as it is only open for dinner and didn't want to deal with the weekend crazies. We tried their spritz lemonica (prosecco, limoncello and soda) and their lemonica martini (vodka, limoncello and orange liqueur). Both were delicious and the martini was creamy which was surprising. The server brought a complimentary small plate of baked (?) pizza dough in the shape of triangles to start. We ordered their cheese board which came with a tiny pitcher of honey and blueberries and almonds. 4 or 5 different cheeses: Parmesan, a smoky one that was good, Brie and two others I can't remember. For main dishes we tried the rigatoni allá vodka and two meatballs and the pasta alla carbonara with chicken. Pasta was fresh and everything was good. Carbonara could have used a little bit of salt but that's neither here nor there. Unfortunately we didn't try their desserts or pizzas so we will be going back for that. Had a very good experience here on a rare foray in Hollywood. Got a very warm greeting upon entry and waiter was very nice. However, I didn't like that he approached the table with a bottle of still and sparkling water, an early sign of the "upsell". No thanks. I'll take tap water every time. Here it's served warm, so I guess he was disappointed, as he appeared very sporadically throughout the rest of the dinner. Warm foccaccia to start was very good, as was the very fresh Capri salad. This place is in a tiny corner of a building in Hollywood. Intimate little vibe with a rustic decor that will make you feel youre in Europe. The pesto pasta wasn't great but, it wasnt bad. Now, the carbonara pasta and the Brussels sprouts were magnificent and we closed our lunch with their delicious tiramisu and espresso. Went with a couple friends and we all split the pasta alla carbonara, rigatoni alla vodka, and the parm and stracciatella pizza. All were very good, but the surprise standout was the vodka sauce! It was very tomato forward, and had a wonderful zing. Service was slow and we often had to call the staff over if we needed a refill on our waters or anything else. My daughter and I stumbled into this adorable little spot while my husband was at conference events, and it ended up being our favorite meal of the trip. The atmosphere at Lemonica is so cute and charming -- bright, fresh, cozy, and very "taste of Italy" in the best way. The food was outstanding. Regan and I shared the Rigatoni à la Vodka with added shrimp and the Margherita pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. The pizza crust was especially yummy -- perfectly chewy with that wood-fired flavor. The complimentary bread with olives and olive oil for dipping was super yummy! We also loved that they offered complimentary champagne during happy hour, which was such a fun touch. Regan ordered the Aperol Spritz and really enjoyed it too. What truly stood out, though, was the service from Inna. My daughter mentioned she has a nut allergy, and because English wasn't Inna's first language, she came back with Google Translate on her phone and kindly asked her to type out the allergy so she could fully understand and ensure her safety. That level of care meant so much to us. Inna was attentive, thoughtful, and incredibly friendly throughout the meal. The only downside for me was the added 5% service charge, which I wasn't a huge fan of. But overall, the food, atmosphere, and especially the care we received made for such a lovely experience. Dined here on Saturday evening to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. It was 4 of us and we arrived around 5pm. The hostess standing outside said that only reservations were allowed inside and we could sit anywhere outside. Thank goodness the weather was nice this weekend and not humid. They have a nice outside dining area in front of the restaurant. For drinks, we all ordered their signature drink which is called Lemonica Spritz. It was a delicious and refreshing drink made with prosecco, limoncello and soda. They also brought out some yummy bread with a side of olives and olive oil for dipping. The bread was like little dough pillows and tasted really delicious. As for entrees, I ordered bucatini meatball served inside a bread bowl, my partner ordered the 4 cheese pizza, and my in laws ordered the shrimp pasta and rigatoni allá vodka. All of our dishes were delicious and tasted very authentic. The pasta was cooked Al dente and tasted very traditional. The pasta sauces were not too heavy or acidic. Our server brought out a tiramisu and sang happy birthday with us. They also gifted her a Lemonica tote bag with some lemons inside. We thought this was a nice touch. LeMonica was super cute and cozy. We started off with the burrata app then ordered a pepperoni pizza and bolognese pasta. The pizza was ridiculously good but the other two dishes did not really stand out as much. The service was not decent, but it was difficult to get their attention if you needed something. The restaurant also automatically adds a 20% gratuity (without mentioning it) then, ask for an additional tip. So, be aware of that. I would come back for the pizza, but that's about it. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and although the outside is beautiful, we opted to sit indoors because it was extremely humid out. Unfortunately, we quickly realized even the inside lacked a bit of AC so over the course of our meal we were getting a bit warm. Upon entering, we realized the tables were very close to one another so it was a bit uncomfortable to get by (for us and for the servers). Just an fyi in case you go at a time where it's much busier. As for the food, we started off with the Burrata & Mortadella Duo appetizer--perfect for 2 to 4 people. The flavor was rich and the tomatoes were fresh/sweet. For my entree, I got the Pesto Pasta and shared some of the Classic Beef Bolognese Pasta with my mom. Although the pastas were good, I think the sauce itself was a bit overbearing on both dishes and quite oily... I actually burped up the meal for several hours after dining. The drinks were a good reset though, all of them delicious. The Lemonica Martini is a MUST TRY because I've truly never tasted anything like it. The Sangria was also delicious and the Spritz Lemonica is perfect for anyone who typically orders the Aperol Spritz. For dessert, we all made room for the Crème Brûlée (no more than 2 people should share, serving is small) and I thought it was neat that they fired it up right in front of us--although it only made it hotter lol. It was delicious however and I wish we ordered a second one. Overall, the aesthetic of this place is definitely enough to make you want to stop by. The servers were all attentive and explained very well the menu to us. If I returned, I'd probably get something lighter like a pizza or even try a different appetizer. read more

Firstly, the ambiance here is great. The location and restaurant decoration/theme is very nice. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant. If it's full, there's plenty of parking around hollywood blvd so that's not a problem. Overall the food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I tried two of their pastas and their tartare and was pleased with it. One thing I did not enjoy was their bread. It was cold and tough to chew. Now the service. The staff was friendly but can definitely use a bit more training. We sat outside and constantly heard different tables get the wrong orders (including ours). Suggestion: Number your tables so the staff knows exactly where to go. Would I recommend going there? It wouldn't be my first suggestion in that area but may be worth giving it a shot. I had a great dinner here with friends. We stumbled onto this restaurant after shopping. What a great surprise. The restaurant feels like a you are in a home in Italy. So cute. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce had just the right balance of flavors, and the pepperoni was perfectly cooked. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée, which was so good and creamy. Another confusing evening. Arrive to this charming little copy of a restaurant in Sorrento with inside/outside seating live music (Guitar) and a bustling diverse crowd. No bar so we sit (6) of us tonight. I immediately see a problem as the servers ALL OF THEM, do not speak passible English. I can get by in Spanish and or Italian, but the staff appeared to be mostly Eastern European. Some store breadsticks, olive oil and some olives are placed on the table. No linen napkins is confusing. After struggling just to order drinks and wine we settle on some appetizers. Ceasar Salad homemade authentic a 10 Some Eggplant with cheese thing in a little metal bowl was confusing if not tasty 7. Pizza Marinara Cold dough with no cheese and tomato sauce on top a 3 Antipasto platter fresh Parma, Reggiano, spicy salami very solid if not expensive 9 At this point I asked some questions about Entrees and of course the language barrier answer was NO meaning they could not do what we asked, or NO I'm wrong that isn't what it is or NO I don't understand. Either way it was a mess. I was told the menu is the menu the 1st thing the guy said I understood. Entrees. First off the ambiance and scene is so delicate and beautiful. I love the fresh lemon on every table - nice to smell it. Love the lemon decor from the places to the place setting, just lovely. Service was great, if a bit clumsy at first. Polite and provided information about various questions and when we asked for suggestions. The beef tartare was DELICIOUS. It was my first time eating beef tartare but it tasted fresh, flavorful, and came with a large portion. (See picture included). The wild mushroom pasta was very fresh homemade pasta cooked just the way I like it, though it could have used a hint more salt or garlic to jazz up the flavor. My daughter got the carbonara and it was tasty and tasted exactly how a good carbonara should taste - the bacon flavor really came through. Overall I will DEFINITELY be back!! Living in young circle neighborhood I couldn't wait to try this new Italian spot and I decided yesterday on my birthday I arrived around a little bit after 5 PM as walking in the server notice me and told me to pick a table About less than a minute, she arrived with a menu I ask Server her recommendation on drinks and she recommended a lemon martini and I also had a bottle of Pellegrino. I started out with the beef carpaccio with arugula and for my dinner I had the porcini pasta with chicken And this is when everything went downhill, the server she barely gave me time to finish my appetizer, which she never even checked to see if I was happy with it As she proceeds on bringing out my entrée on top of the appetizer after I received my appetizer long story short, she never checked on that either, and basically never returned until I stopped eating Giving that it was early and I just opened the place wasn't even that busy There was a dessert I saw Instagram that was not available and that was fine. I just had another cocktail and another bottle of Pellegrino. So I asked the server to go ahead and bring me the check while I finish my cocktail and a box for the pasta that I wasn't able to finish. I eat at many restaurants in Young Circle and for the price I paid last night I received no type of service follow up or check back at the table When I looked at the check, I noticed that it was a 20% service charge, which I have no problem with that but the lack of service and I felt she already knew she was gonna get her money so she never returned to the table Honestly, I felt sorry for her. I also gave her additional tip, I still don't know why I even did that , I received no thank you and no type of come back and see us again nothing On my way out, I saw the server standing in a group of other servers and then I knew this is where she been all night just standing there and not taking care of the guest! The food was amazing. The service was terrible giving that I most likely will never go back or invite my friends to this new spot in the young circle! Instead of burrata we were served mozzarella without anyone informing us beforehand. If I had known, I wouldn't have ordered it. Our waiter Yaro did offer to redeem us by giving us a dessert or taking it off the check - we decided to get the item removed from the check. My husband ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and bacon. The bacon was soggy, the salad looked wilted and the portion of chicken was ridiculously small--like it came from a baby chicken. My little boy had the pepperoni pizza, which was fine - it's a pizza and it looks like they make their dough from scratch. Was rather tasty. As for me, I had the braised beef osso buco with handmade pasta. For an Italian spot the handmade pasta was undercooked and clumped together. The osso buco was completely flavorless--I had to add salt and pepper and even that didn't save it. There were no hints of Italian herbs or spices. I was totally disappointed in this meal as it was a celebratory evening for our family but it didn't meet expectations. Drinks were another letdown. I ordered a lemonica martini, which was mostly froth--about a third of the glass--and barely tasted like it had any alcohol. Our waiter was very apologetic and nice but the overall service was below par. I had to remind the servers about our drinks which made the experience even worse. Yaro was the only redeeming aspect of the night, as he did try to be attentive. When the check came they automatically include gratuity which in my opinion should be the guest who provides the tip on the service, not an automatic 18-20%. The decor and ambience is lovely though. Really lovely touches throughout. Overall, Lemonica fell way short of expectations. For the quality of food and service we received I won't be coming back. My husband had recommended the place as he walked past Saturday night and it was packed with patrons and all tables were full. Delightful experience. We decided to finally try this place since the weather had been perfectly chilly and just begging for dinner at an outdoor establishment. The ambiance and service were wonderful. It is a comfortable setting to sit back and enjoy the fresh and simple plates they serve. The menu is simple, in a good way. Boasting and respecting the flavors of each ingredient. I started with the Lemonica martini. Just the right amount of sweet and bitter you want out of a lemoncello martini. The initial bread service was a slight letdown in my opinion as it was cold and crunchy, as if it was a day old. The chicken soup with homemade noodles was a crave-able feel good option. It was sprinkled with just the right amount of dill and not too salty- delicately flavored. I found it interesting that they opted for a chicken noodle soup free of all vegetables this however, highlights the flavor that is clearly homemade broth. Continuing on with their simple menu, we decided to go with a margarita pizza. The crust was perfectly fluffy and chewy and it was not too cheesy or greasy.
