Hi  I wanted to tell you that I was in for happy hour and had 2 beers (Alhambra 1925 the best beer) and a flatbread and it was incredible and all bartenders were very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed your place.  I wanted to share this because I know there's a lot of negative people in this city that feel entitled and there is no making them happy even if you give away your food and drinks for free!  I will be in tomorrow to enjoy more of the happy hour! I planned for days to bring my dad & husband for fathers day to watch the Spain game at this Bulla location, I called days before, reserved for a large party, asked about the game and confirmed they will play it and I asked to have a table to see it. We arrived to find that the whole restaurant had one small tv only on the bar and when I asked to be seated near that they said all those tables were reserved. I talked to the hostess again and asked to help us as we had gone there so the dads could watch the game and that I had requested to be near the TV, her face and expression were as she couldn't care less. When we decided to leave somewhere else and I explained to them why I was leaving then they jumped and said I could talk to a manager but it was too late for them to care as they really ruined our plan to celebrate in a supposedly special place (I have been to the Bulla location in Doral multiple times and they are beyond Amazing and friendly so the issue is in this one in Aventura)... I understand not every restaurant needs to have where to watch the game but then don't advertise in social media to come watch the games at your establishment or be clear when someone asks about the games when doing a reservation! The server was friendly and understanding when I explained why we had to leave so the star of this review is for him... the hostess not the best definitely not someone that should be in charge of greeting people! Not at all what I expected. I had a lovely lunch! It was on a Saturday during their brunch time and out of their brunch menu however I did not have brunch type selections. I enjoy it every bite! Service was great and the ambiance was modern yet comfy and with wide open spaces. Loved it! I had the garbanzo soup, bacon wrapped dates and the steak with potatoe foam and truffle sauce. We had an excellent first experience at Bulla Aventura. We ate an early dinner at the bar and enjoyed happy hour at the same time. Have mixed drinks, specialty cocktails, and wine discounted for happy hour along with tapas to choose from. All of our food was excellent. The chicken skewer and tuna wontons were my two favorite from the happy hour tapas we tried. My husband ended up getting the carbonara pasta, which did not disappoint! It was big enough to share and very rich and creamy! The egg on top was cooked perfect and it was loaded with mushrooms! Staff were very friendly and attentive ! Very Spanish. From food, waiter and customers when we there. Just hit the spot for us. Description as Gaston's seems strange. We chose to mix Sunday brunch bottomless sangria and Mimosa with Tapas menu. All choices good and well presented. Perhaps a little salty for my taste. Nothing stood out but everything was better than acceptable. Serrano ham croquettes were plenty and good. Probably the best was the steak Pintxo. This is a small skewer of flash fried steak basque style. We finished off with really good flan that was not on the menu but was offered. The place itself like so many now clean, open and Miami-ish. I seriously lucked out with an invite from a dear friend who won a paella-making class at Bulla Gastrobar, which honestly might be one of their best-kept highlights outside of their already buzzing bar menu and happy hour energy. We showed up about an hour early, and I eased in with a Spanish Old Fashioned. If I have to admit we didn't realize that it wasn't even necessary, because once that class started, it became this well curated experience with bites and drinks for the evening. At the bar we shared croquetas de jamón that came with this yummy fig jelly that elevated these delicious balls, gambas al ajillo which is grilled shrimp loaded with garlic, brandy and just the right kick, truffle fries topped with manchego, and grilled steak montaditos. Everything. On. Point. No notes. And the bar staff brought the kind of energy and service that made it an extra pleasurable HH. Now the paella class itself... that deserves its own headline. But let's just say, between learning, laughing, and lots of sipping, it's a fabulous date night or group event to consider. Aside from all the pre noshing we made three different sangrias, all hits, but the white wine version with peach schnapps, triple sec, strawberries and blueberries made it my favorite. Had such a great time at Bulla in Aventura. I had only ever been to the one in Coral Gables, but that was years ago. We went during happy hour which they have daily from 4-7PM. We got a bunch of drinks and food items as well and for three people we left satisfied paying around $130 which is a great deal these days. The service was phenomenal and the space is very open and inviting with a lot of natural light. I would definitely be back at Bulla if I'm ever in the neighborhood again. read more

I've been to other Bulla locations and I'm happy to have one in the Aventura area. I like the half open area and the design inside. I also like the happy hour before 7 which I am definitely coming back for. The only reason I'm knocking down one point was for the tuna tartare. I think it was very sweet and didn't need so much sugar as it was hard to feel any flavor besides sugar. Overall, good place and I'm more than open to changing my review to 5 star in the future when I come back! read more

Everytime we are in the Aventura area, we have to stop here for Happy hour. They have special prices and half off wine bottles. Bar area is super nice and the bartenders are so nice. We didn't try the sangria this time but it's recommended to try. We ordered a bottle of wine and some tapas. The chicken and pork skewers are so good and juicy. You gotta try the croquettes and pan con tomate. Everything is delicious but it all depends on how much space or hungry you are. My wife like always finished with her favorite drink called carajillo. What a great happy hour! The menu has such great selections & the cocktails are so worth it. Their Gambas al Ajillo (a twist on the American Shrimp Scampi but it's own stand alone recipe) were delicious. Huge sized, very clean shrimp. Perfectly cooked & not chewy. Thick chunks of garlic compliments the entire dish. The Steak Montaditos had tender slices of a skirt style steak & chimichurri on top of crusty baguette style bread. The Croquetas de Jamon w/Fig Jam was also delish! So very creamy while the fig jam gives it a nice sweet taste. Truffle fries topped w/shaved manchego cheese has elevated the sides game forever! I love the tapas style food options at Bulla. It is such a fun spot and absolutely worth visiting if you love tapas and a good brunch or dinner vibe. The white sangria was delicious, refreshing, and way too easy to drink. It was the perfect complement to a table full of appetizers. What I loved most is the variety. We were able to try so many different small plates, and everything made the experience feel lively and meant for sharing. Some of the standout appetizers were the Bistec à la parilla, Tequeños, Pulpo à la Parilla, Patatas Bravas, Ceviche de Jalapeño, Crispy Calamari, Montaditos, Pan con Tomate, and Croquetas de Jamón. For dessert we had the Flan de Coco with Passion Fruit Sorbet and it was TO DIE FOR. Bulla has some of the best happy hour specials offering tapas and drink specials at the bar. The staff here is amazing and very informative. We did sit at the bar for their happy hour and enjoyed some croquetas which are my absolute fav. And we also got some pan con tomate (off the happy hour menu) but it's a great compliment with drinks. But I must say the best bite of the night was the steak montaditos. The pimiento on top of the steak with the piquillo confit really is a burst of flavor. Highly recommend trying it! We ended the experience with torrijas which you can think of as fluffy french toast with a custardy interior, (Delish) and a carajillo which was perfectly executed. Bulla now open in Aventura! We had reservations since it was Valentine's Day. We had the croquetas and cantimpalo with manchego for appetizers and the bulls burgers with patatas bravas for dinner. The burger was my favorite very juicy and flavorful as well as the potatoes. The manchego and chorizo were good but such a small portion. The croquetas are not typical croquettes but more cheesy fried balls. Service was great our server was always available keeping an eye on his table section. This restaurant recently opened in Aventura and I enjoy Spanish tapas. The restaurant is cavernous with high ceilings, so it's not an intimate setting. Our server was nice and efficient. We ordered the Paella Mixta, a mix of seafood with rice in Spanish spices. The menu suggests ordering paella immediately upon being seated because it takes 30 minutes to prepare. I like paella and Bulla's paella was decent. Some of the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The rice was reasonably seasoned, but it could have been more seasoned. We also had the omelette tapa. It had a unique potato filling and garlic aioli on the side. The omelette was a bit salty. I had the avocado margarita mocktail. It was delicious. Overall a good experience. read more

I have to say that every time I feel like going out, Miami service disappoints me again. I end up sitting in a restaurant where all they have to do is serve a table and somehow that doesn't happen. It makes me regret going out when I could be at home, comfortable, eating whatever I want. But sometimes I just want to sit at a table and be served. That's what I tried to do this Sunday. First of all, they didn't bring all three meals out at the same time. We had to ask repeatedly for water, and the waiter was basically missing in action. We were missing salt, missing ketchup, and I had to ask twice just to refill my Pepsi. I ordered my food well done, and it came out medium. Honestly, I feel bad for the owner because it seems like they're putting people on the floor with no training. The manager showed up at the end and asked if everything was okay. We had to explain that they even brought dessert while we were still eating, so the ice cream was melting. And at the very end, the waiter suddenly showed up acting all friendly, especially since he expected his 18%. Yes, you'll get my 18%, but you won't see my face ever again. So hear me out, I will never step into this restaurant again. You only have one job, and it wasn't accomplished. read more

I also ordered no peppers. It came with peppers. Unfortunately, as I had to be somewhere I did not have the time to send back. OVERCHARGED ME.. They offer the 2 or 3 course meal. He charged me a la carte... I did not notice until I got home later in the day as I had to leave. Also, I had to ask for my check 3x. I knew I had to leave early so I asked early. Until now Bulla was a little too much of a trek to consider for a Saturday afternoon' so this location was a welcome site when they started construction. It's finally open now so in we went. The plaza is busy and as everything becomes more popular I'm sure parking will become increasingly difficult to find in the afternoon (lunch hours). The restaurant is open and airy. High ceilings and a fairly open concept. Staff were prompt from entering to serving and departing. Tapas plates were removed quickly as is expected for a tapas place. The menu was okay but due to a shellfish allergy we were limited on a few options. We were also warned that anything fried would be fried in the same oil as any shellfish. That was off putting but not our first rodeo so we went ahead and ordered. Our little boy truly enjoyed his simple cheese flat bread. The brisket was dry but salmon was great as was the tuna tartare. The cocktails were limited but they have an open bar so you can order what you wish (except mai Tais lol). I'd go again to see how much more they have improved but I'd say go try them! I went for happy hour. They have lots of options for seating and several options. They were able to provide some gluten free options but the bar wasn't educated on them in advance. Overall beautiful atmosphere, good service, and yummy food. Chicken screwers were fantastic. Looking forward to returning and raising the rating. read more
