Driven by this place a few times living in the area. On the weekends, there is always a line! There is ample parking in their lot. Open 7am-7pm during Covid times... We ordered albondigas, carne asada taco and sope, and chile con carne plate. The albondigas was the best I've had other than homemade. The asada is so-so but the fresh tortilla makes it. The accoutrements were fresh and needed since the taco is just meat and tortilla. The sope was tasty and not greasy. And the chile con carne plate will be ordered again! Overall, this place is a great find for good authentic Mexican food. Only downside is you have to have cash, thus a 4/5 stars! The gas station across the station allows for $20 cashback. The tortillas earn most of the stars here. The facilities are a little gross...sticky tables and seats, flies all over the place, grungy bathrooms loaded with graffiti. It's tough to get a seat; we came in well past the lunch hour and the tables were full. We had to wait to get a table, and there's only 2 floor waitresses and they're busy. The chile verde was only so-so, and the rellenos also were only average. But the tortillas are fresh, hot, and substantial. You can load them up and they won't give out on you. You go there for the tortillas. Kids had beans and rice and quesadillas, they were pretty happy. Salsa and Pico were tasty too. Just too bad they can't make the facilities nicer. They do a roaring to-go trade though...maybe that's the way to go so you can avoid the icky tables and numerous dirty flies. Oh, cash only, and make sure you speak Spanish. :) read more

Lenchita's is a place my uncle use to bring me when I was little. I remember the authenticity of biting into real Mexico meal. Their handmade tortillas are thick and warm. The service takes your order quickly and are attentive to your needs, however, they heat up your tortillas so may have to step away for a minute or two but that is why they are so warm. I have gone on a busy day so service may take longer than expected. Their biria, posole, carne asada, costillas, tacos, and quesadillas are very good. The menudo here is amazing. Can't beat the whole handmade tortilla thing. Service isn't always up to par, but they are most certainly just pumping out food, I don't recall anyone ever just standing around. I've been coming back since my last review and amazingly they have been improving in their speed when it comes to acknowledging customers and taking orders. For the record, I've also had their sopes with beef & chile verde, asada quesadillas and asada tacos which are delicious. Again, everything homemade. Oh, and their lemonade is awesome! We moved out of the state about 13 years ago, and every time we're in town we know that we have to stop. Although parking and seating isn't ideal the food is so worth it. The loud sounds inside the restaurant are cut by the señoras making yellow corn tortillas by hand. It's such a beautiful sound. The menu is short- but really you won't miss anything else. i know nothing about mexican food but as an asian i'm used to eating just about any part of the animal and a friend from mexico city recommended the menudo here. the menudo was served a slice of lemon, some chopped onion, oregano, homemade tortillas and two types of salsa. following my friend's lead, i asked for an extra slice of lemon to squeeze into the soup to raise the acidity. also added a significant amount of oregano. i thought it was great, but i also enjoyed how the flavor changed with a bite of tortilla depending on the amount of salsa/salt added to the tortilla. go with someone who speaks fluent spanish and you'll probably get better service. read more

Service here is slow and horrible but the food is delicious! I will definitely come back for the food! You seat yourself and have to flag down the 2 waitresses working on a busy Sunday morning. There's one menu sheet for the entire restaurant's patrons to share so you kinda have to wait for it to pass you by. But like I said, the food is delicious and worth the bad service! Lenchita's is a good place to buy fresh out of the oven tortillas. They make different varieties of mexican dishes. Good size portions. The place is clean.The only horrible thing about Lenchita's is the service takes a while. So if you are not a patient person I would recommend you to come here to eat. Lenchita's always has parking spaces. The restaurants has specials. Lenchita's been around for as long as I remember is the place to go eat with the family. You can also enjoy eating alone or with friends. Especially the handmade tortillas go well with any dish. You can't go wrong with Lenchita's it even has a pick up food. You can order your food and pick it up. Just remember bring money because they don't except any credit cards. This restaurant is bad although I don't expect much from a simple mexican restaurant i hated this place the last time I went here I had the same waiter come back 3 times to tell me we didn't have any item I ordered so I ended up eating just s plain quesadilla with chicken because they ran out of steak but still had no flavor the only thing with decent taste is the cheese and handmade tortillas So 1 star and I dont recommend anyone coming here maybe if you want bland and flavorless food but other than that nope. read more

if you grew up in pacoima, or worked in the area...this is the place to stop by & get some grub! i'm not a meat eater, so i always order the veggie burrito, or the quesadilla, and always order a coke! the corn tortillas are to die for! it's kinda cool to order your food and check out the posse in the cooking area whipping up some homemade tortillas. it takes me back to hiking those many miles in tijuana with my family to pick up some tortillas at the tortilleria, and bring them back wrapped up in kitchen towels....awww the memories! i've spoken with a few people who cruised through the area and they all seem to be familiar with this establishment. sooo...if you're ever in the 'hood stop by and fill up, you wont' be disappointed. ~cheers! read more

All the staff were extremely rude, as you walk into the restaurant the workers just walk past you. There's no system, just walk in and sit down and eventually someone will come over and ask what you want. You sit down and like an owl you must turn your neck 180 degrees because the huge menu is right behind you. There is limited sitting and the tables are very small and get cleaned with a wet rag but remain sticky with a weird smell. The food takes a really long time to get to your table. There are 2 bathrooms and they are very nasty, similar to a park's bathroom with a foul odor and there's a lot of graffiti. The only positive thing about this place is the food.
