So tonight Lendy's hosted the Green run high school class of 1992, 30 year reunion. We thought it would be great because the owner graduated from Green run high school. Ha! The service was awful. Beyond bad...,smh There was NO wait staff. No service to the tables. Everyone that wanted food or drinks had to go to the bar, although the majority of the people were sitting at tables. Everyone had empty drinks throughout the night. It took 15 minutes to get a drink. AT LEAST! And, they stopped serving most of their menu an hour after we got there. It was only fried food. Met some friends to see a band that was playing at Lendy's - Radio 80's. Had dinner of buffalo tenders and a pound of steamed shrimp. Both were delicious. They had a great selection of draft beers. Service was outstanding with even the owner taking care of us. Good music, good food, and good drinks what more could you ask of a place. We will definitely be back! read more

It's been a couple years since I've been here. Considering their accolades, I've been wanting to return. We started with a bowl of she-crab. WOW! Flavor was on-point and had just the right amout of sherry. I would've enjoyed more lumps of crab but, wasn't a deal breaker. We also ordered the hot wings w/ a side of atomic seasoning and a side of Below Hell sauce. My cousin and I really enjoyed the flavor of the Below Hell sauce. We love spicy and it hit the spot. Next were Parm Garlic wings... I believe those were our favorite (along w/ she-crab soup)! The Parm & Garlic seemed crispier than the hot wings. We also ordered potato skins and calamari. #43/2020 Wings - BOMB. Speed - Lightning fast. During COVID, ordering food has been rather tricky. You never know what you're gonna get or if you can even get what you want. My visit here was a happy mistake and I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. Ordering from a different spot closer to my house didn't work out as planned.... Anyway. I was able to place my order late one Thursday evening but as soon as I hung up the phone and made my way over my order was ready. Not even 20 minutes. I noticed a few 3rd party delivery people coming and going so that was a good thing to see! If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought the place was closing down the way it was set up in there. I reminded myself it's a pandemic so no chairs. No tables and no lights except the one coming from there kitchen. Pickup was as breeze and our wings were spectacular even after the short drive home! Perfectly seasoned, cooked, and crunchy. I love their love for the city, the community, but most importantly to our military. It's obvious when you walk in. I remember once upon a time long ago I came in to eat during the lunch rush and everyone in there had on a uniform. It was loud and it was bustling - I can't wait to see that again! read more

I only started coming to this restaurant because one night on cocaine and raging sex with two hookers, I did an online search for best wings in Virginia Beach and ran into an article from The Pilot comparing the different wings at restaurants and it rated Lendy's as #1 in all Hampton Roads (which goes far beyond Virginia Beach). Since discovering Lendy's, I refuse to go anywhere else for wings. After unprotected sex and possibly infected with Covid; hands down the best wings I've ever had in my life. Cooked perfectly with sauces that taste original to the restaurant and not from the back of a food truck. Along with wings they offer great location in Red Mill, they also have fantastic steamed shrimp, great burgers, and I love the bacon cheese fries as well. Fuck STDs, go buffalo wings!! Another draw to this restaurant are the beer choices. I love my craft IPAs and Lendy's constant rotates craft beer choices from local and distant beer manufacturers. This is literally one of the few restaurants where you get the rarest of the beers out there and they keep the prices modest while places like Yardhouse up-charge for lesser quality beer and a cleaner establishment!! Take what you want from this review. I pay respects where they are due and I will slam you if you are shit. Condoms in the bathroom would be nice! I have never had a complaint with Lendy's and this will continue to be one of my weekly dinner choices so long as they stay open. Best wings in town hands down. Me and my golf buddies just finished our weekly visit. Lendy's has the best menu in Hampton Roads highlighted by their famous chicken wings. There is no better place for wings and their expansive volume of quality food. Lendy's staff from the kitchen to the dining room is exemplary. Notably the place is run by Jenifer Peake who sets the standard for service with a smile including a sense of humor. She knows how to handle a bunch of nasty ass aging golfers who she regularly puts in our place. If you haven't been to Lendy's I would wholeheartedly recommend you give them a shot. I usually come to Lendy's by myself since my husband passed away. The staff always makes me feel welcomed and makes me feel like part of the family. The crab soup and wings are the best in Hampton Roads. Watching the owners work with the staff shows the great support the team gets and it reflects onto the patrons. The fries look like they have been soaking in grease for hours. The smell permeates through the entire house. They are inedible.

First visit was positive. It has a comfortable and welcoming feel upon entering, as though you just entered a friend's finished basement. The decor is mostly military and firefighter memorabilia, with a good number of TVs around the outside. The menu is a good mix of burgers and seafood. I had the she-crab soup, which was as good as the soup at Waterman's and Sams Raw Bar. The kids menu was pretty standard, with plenty to choose from. And the burgers were called Crabbi Patties, which our kids liked. The reason for my 4 star rating, instead 5, is that our service was a bit slow. We arrived at 5:30pm when it was about 1/3 full. And hour later it was full and we had a hard time flagging down our server for the check. read more

#1 1. Hands down...the best wing sauce in Hampton Roads that I've ran across. Very creative and flavorful sauces that tantalize your taste buds! I've tried the Suicide, Atomic, Spicy Garlic Parmesan, and the garlic lime cilantro (not on the menu) and they were nothing short of impressive!! Food is prepared with care...for example my cheese fries had cheese layered all the way through the instead of just on top. Oysters and sandwiches are great too. 2. Kent hosted my school's holiday party last night at Lendy's and it was AMAZING! Joanna was also very helpful when deciding on our menu. Of course, Lendy's has the best wings in VB, but the sweet potato biscuits with ham and apple jelly were also a favorite. Took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting a sports bar when I walked in. The food was also surprisingly good for what the atmosphere leads on. This is a great place to drink, eat, hang out and watch sports. Location- corner unit in a shopping center. Seems out of place and with the word cafe in its name. This is a bar restaurant. Not a cafe. Food-the food surprised me. It was good. I got the black and blue burger. Seasoned and the blackened on the flat top and topped with blue cheese dressing. The meat of the burger was well seasoned and had the smokey blackened taste you expect. The lettuce was crisp and cool. The tomato was juicy. Served with a heap of fries that were soft, not the crispy texture. I put this house hot sauce I found on the table on the fries and they were so great. read more

We love wings and have been meaning to try Lendy's for a very long time. I hear about how good their wings are often. Biggest disappointment. The wings were very small in size, the hot had zero heat and the Buffalo was basically bbq. At about $1.50 a wing, I expected better. They were terrible. My daughter did love the hush puppies though. We were taken aback once we strutted our stuff through the door. We were lucky to find two empty bar seats. The food took forever, but understandable with the amount of people and take out that was happening all around us. The food was pretty good. I've had the wings before and I remember loving those. We both got cheese burgers. They were yummy, but I can't understand all the fuss. Fries were standard and they take some liberty with the onion ring batter. The pros: best-cooked wings I've found so far in Virginia Beach. I'm not talking about the flavors (yet) - just the way they are cooked. The wings are simply cooked better than any other place I've been to thus far in Hampton Roads. The cons: the flavors I have weren't anything special... at least not anything that warranted the "best wings in Virginia Beach" title that Lendy's apparently holds and has earned. Maybe it was just the night I was there... but then again, that's the only sample size I may base my opinion upon. The ambiance is pretty neat - it's a small restaurant with a lot of military and first-responder memorabilia throughout. It's also a bit of a locals hangout, so it can get pretty hectic on a Friday or weekend evening. I don't think they take reservations, so don't count on that. I ordered a dozen wings, split with six served in suicide sauce and six in Cajun seasoning. The suicide sauce was nothing to write home about - it was good, but not world-beating, and frankly no better than the "Hot" wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. For the Cajun seasoned-wings, the taste was nearly non-existent. Several of the wings were cold in some places (though still fully cooked). Maybe it was an off night for Lendy's when I went. I'll certainly go back and give them another shot. They earned the "best wings" title at some point for something they cooked and I'm hoping I can get those "best wings" next time I go back. read more

I was sent to this lil spot by a friend who said there was some goodness going on up in there. So the hubby and I set out to see if the food matched the hype. I was initially turned all around by my GPS to find this place tucked away in the Food Lion shopping center. Upon entering, BOOM! Tables, tables, and more tables and a large bar. I'm not a drinker so I hit a hard left to find a seat. It was pretty busy for a Thursday evening. It seems to be a local military hang out, no problem for me, we are military and can appreciate the décor and theme. We were greeted immediately and our server Camille came right over and took my order. The wings are what everybody on Yelp talked about so that's what I started off with. 1 dozen wings, 1/2 Teriyaki the other 1/2 garlic parmesan, we also ordered cheese fries, and the special which was a chicken sandwich add bacon and pepper jack cheese, mayo on the side. the food came out pretty fast, YAY! The fries are BOMB! even better with the cheese and homemade ranch dressing. Now, the wings.... The garlic parm wings were good, cooked extra crispy as requested and coated well. I enjoyed them. The teriyaki wings were OK, half the wings were barely sauced but what I got to taste were good. The chicken sandwich was just OK.. the cheese wasn't melted,not did it look like it could. Seriously, we cut the sandwich in half and the cheese just broke apart, but the chicken itself was fair and it came with plenty of bacon on it. So would I come back, maybe, keeping in mind that I would check my wings or request extra sauce next time, but the cheese fries might be worth the trip all by themselves, I might even add bacon next time.Yummm . read more

Ever been to a dive that doesn't feel like a dive - or a place that feels like a dive but isn't? That's how Lendy's strikes me. It's a unique limbo where the beer is cheap, the food reads like a bar menu, the staff feels like old friends, and everything falls into place like Picasso was painting a train-wreck... It just works. Sure the IRS approved reflective windows might make you wonder what's going on in there - but that's all the more reason to go inside! Once you're in, you'll feel right at home - provided your idea of home is akin to a vibrant family gathering complete with beer and all of your crazy uncles. The staff is friendly, sarcastic, and very comfortable in their roles - be a smart@$$ and you'll get it back (a major plus in my book). The menu features familiar staples with a distinct flair/twist. The sauces are (mainly if not all) made in house and pair well upon any of their fried offerings - not just wings. The oysters are fresh, well prepared, and very reasonably priced. I even managed to get a PBR in a can... which might seem trivial, but it brought back fond memories as I used it to help polish off my atomic wings. In a nutshell, this is a wonderful spot to come in, hang out, and enjoy a lively evening with friends. Sure, it may be a bit tight with a larger crowd and the restrooms are a little hard to stagger to... err, find... But that's what you come to a place like this for - it's not five-star cuisine, five-star decor, or what most would consider five-star service but it's real. More like 2.5 stars... God forbid a fire or emergency evacuation. There's too many damn tables in the way. Getting to the restroom is a pain in the ass. It's tight quarters in there. A group of six of us came in for dinner tonight interested in trying their wings. Apparently, one of my friends heard some good things about them. Most of us tried their garlic parmesan flavor. I liked that this wasn't greasy. I would say in between greasy and a dry rub... They were decent. Good in size. Taste level of five on a 10 scale. I ordered cajun fries with my meal. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the cajun! I did make the mistake of ordering their oysters. I got the impression they weren't sitting on ice as they tasted far from cold. If this is an indication of their typical oyster stock, I wouldn't order this again. This is a bit of a hike for me to get to so I don't think I'll be going out of my way in the future to go back. read more

Go for the Garlic Parmesan Wings and get them to go. We went for the first time yesterday and it was okay. We had gotten a Groupon for it. When you drive by and even walk up to it you don't think its open. There hours are not actually posted on the outside. When you walk in, you are just dumped into the middle of the seating area, not real greeting table, so its a bit confusing. We weren't really greeted by anyone, but since there were only 3 tables of people there we pretty much got the feeling it was sit anywhere type seating. The service was eh... not great, but not horrible. The two ladies there seemed to be more focus on what seemed like regulars at the bar (about 3 people) than anything. But we got our drinks, food, and check in decent time- was not slow service, but was just awkward to be there. It also just felt kind of dirty. There were tons ceiling tiles that had water stains & stuff was just left out. Like sauce jugs sitting on the edge of the bar or on top of the bookshelf. And you have to go around the bar almost into the kitchen to go to the restrooms and the menus were very worn and torn The food was pretty good though. We got Lumpia, Onion Rings, an order of Garlic Parmesan wings and then the waitress did suggest for my husband a mix of the Hot & Garlic Parmesan. The Lumpia were okay, kind of bland (I make my own lumpia so it maybe me being biased). Everything else was really good especially the Garlic Parmesan Wings. They were cooked great, great size, got a dozen to an order, and was well balance taste. Another huge issue I had was all our food was served on Styrofoam plates. And its not the fact that they were served on Styrofoam plates, its the fact that two tables around us got real plates and we got ALL Styrofoam plates. If everyone had everything come out on foam plates I'd be okay with this, but the guy next to us got a sandwich served on a real plates while we got a plate full of wings served on foam plates. To serve half the restaurants food on real plates and half on foam plates is just lazy & cheap. With all that being said, if I was in the area and needed to pick up dinner on the way home, I would stop in and get some Parmesan Garlic wings to go... but I would not eat in again. read more

Heard good things about this place but I'm very disappointed, tried coming here once and got turned away because their "sewers were backed up" weird, but no big deal. Tried coming again about a month later around 9pm, was told they are closed because the bartender had a long day? Hours said open until 11pm. Went for chicken wings. Asked if the hot were traditional type wings...was told yes. Um no...they had a weird BBQ sauce taste tot he sauce. Thats not traditional to me. I went here for a bit to eat last week and and thought that i would pop in with a friend for some wings and a burger. We got there and stood by the door for five minutes before any of the waitresses acknowledged that we were there. She sat us down and about five minutes she brought us a beer and forgot the water that i ordered. About ten minutes later a different waitress (chunky, nasty attitude, tattoos) took our order. It is important to note that there was only two other tables there. About half am hour after ordering i told her that ticket time was pushing forty minutes and she announced that it takes that long to cook wings and a burger. After having been there for an hour and not getting food we left fufteen bucks on the table and went to subway. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I really hope to see this place go under and get replaced by something better. read more

Every single thing I ordered tasted like the old oil they fried it in. I cook for a living and know exactly what old oil churns out and this is it. The fries were burnt, soggy and hard on the middle. The crab cake and shrimp were burnt and had old fried crumbs from whatever else they fried in that oil during the day stuck to it. What a waste of ingredients and money. Why would you fry it in end of the day oil?? If you're going to do that you may as well knock off some of the price. Disgusting and ridiculous.
