I am completely disappointed with my food and my service not so much my food. My food was absolutely amazing so let me take that back because my food was absolutely amazing. The taste was great. The quality was great. The price is up there like normal you know $51 for two people for lunch my husband and I got there early. We ordered the jalapeño pastrami sandwich and fish and chips and then we split lunch. We got there early and we had to wait like 20 minutes for our food and there was only about seven people in their total at the time when we ordered and we had to wait like 20 minutes for our food, which is fine because it's fresh and nicely cooked, but the thing that was so annoying was not that it was $51 for two people for lunch, which is kinda hefty for lunch, but the fact of the matter was that when I asked for a tartar sauce to go after waiting 20 minutes for my food and and 20tip a 20% tip that was delivered to my table so you got a tip and I waited 20 minutes for my food and you couldn't even give me $.50 worth of tartar sauce. I don't know when I will be back. I am extremely annoyed and disappointed not so much that I had to wait 20 minutes for fresh food because that's fine but that you wanna charge me $.50 after you got a 20% tip that you can't even give me $.50 worth of tartar sauce that's ridiculous read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of bears on tap. I work in the oil industry, but not in Bakersfield. I was visiting for business and went there with some locals who are also in the industry. It seems like an oil field hang out. Used to love this place. The Gorgonzola Mac n cheese with bacon was my go to but this time was a flavorless soupy mess with no Gorgonzola to speak of and two tiny crumbs of bacon. My wife's turkey boy club had similar problems in terms of quality and quantity. As if waiting to get our food for 30 minutes and watching the party of 6+ people who ordered after us somehow get their food first didn't make it bad enough. The fries were different but somehow not terrible (shocker based on the rest of the experience). All while multiple children run around and literally scream at the arcade machines they have, and a pervy old man from that aforementioned party of 6+ "accidentally" groping my wife's butt on the way to his seat after getting up two other times with no such issue. We somehow have managed to never dine at this specific lengthwise location until yesterday! We had a craving for some of their food and decided to branch out from the usual rosedale location. Parking was really easy and the location was nice and steady but not so busy we couldn't get help fast. We ended up ordering and taking a seat not too far from the bar top. The employees were super sweet to my baby, who kept staring them down and listening to their conversations! She was so nosey but the employees interacted with her when they could and it was so fun. Our food was really delicious and tasted pretty fresh. I ordered a sandwich and my husband got a burger. Very american style dishes offered here, just like good pub food as expected. Our food came out decently quickly and the runners were also nice and helpful. It was awesome they had high chairs too. Lengthwise, a staple of Bakersfield brewing. This location is near CSUB, shopping, movie theater, and bike trail. My partner and I enjoy coming here for the fish and chips and one of their locally brewed beers. I chose to go with Harvest Moon, a wheat beer. It was full bodied and refreshing. The fish and chips came with french fries and definitely enough to share. Service is always on point, it is pretty quiet during the week, so if you're looking for a more upbeat vibe, you should come Friday or Saturday nights. read more

Also, note that they don't offer blue cheese dressing for the wings, just ranch, so, blue cheese lovers beware. Came for lunch with my mom, cousin, and my youngest. I usually frequent the District location yet this location was the most convenient at the time we all met up. We all ordered the chicken strips, yet I ordered the chicken strips AND stinky fries. My cousin ordered the fried artichokes to share and this was my first and definitely not last time I will be having these! The batter was light and the sauce that accompanied the artichokes was perfection! The chicken strips are my favorite menu item along with the stinky fries. The chicken strips were delicious and moist paired with BBQ sauce and ranch! The stinky fries are heavenly with garlic and Gorgonzola cheese! This location was a very nice open space and very clean! Server at counter was very nice. Only issue was that the lemonade in the fountain was not lemonade and was dispensing water. Have been a fan of lengthwise for years! There is a .50 cent fee for mustard and mayonnaise each. Talked to the manager and he stated that the owners required the fee. First time I have ever been charged for a basic condiment at any establishment. I'll bring my own condiments next time. I'm sure they will charge a corkage condiment fee if I ever come back. My mom and I have this little tradition--we go run errands together and stop halfway through to grab a drink and a snack to make the task more palatable. We were near the marketplace and hadn't tried Lengthwise yet, and since we were feeling brave, we sauntered in out of the heat. We chose a table just far enough away from others to be "Covid compliant" but close enough to the bar to be noticed, and there we sat. We were there for about 15 minutes and none of the employees even glanced in our direction. All the customers seemed like regulars, so the employees were too busy socializing to even realize we existed. So we got up and left and nobody cared. It felt like middle school all over again. By taste buds prefer the sweet and tarty stuff, so I tried the cherry lime sour, raspberry sour, pomegranate sour, and the razzberry wheat all held a refine taste. My ultimate must have was the pomegranate sour that was refreshing, sweet, tarty, and yet held so much of th pomegranate molasses that kept that its beer taste to it. Now, the starve for attention burger was flavorful. The the pull pork and brisket was tender and was very flavors that all fit perfectly together, and a special bbq sauce was poured over it and topped with bacon such a meat lovers moment, it really is one for the books! First time here! Casey and Lonnie were super amazing and helpful with all our questions about the beers and food! Sat outside(only option... thanks Covid) We started with the Golden Pale ale and it was good! Then I tried the coffee porter and it was yummy. No bitter beer face! Then out of curiosity,we tried the Mango Milkshake ipa. I wasn't hopeful,but I freaking loved it. It works! I thought it tasted more like a 50/50 bar but‍. We both got the Stinky chili Mac and cheese. HUGE portion and nice and spicy! So yummy. Bathrooms were clean. BEST BEER IN BAKERSFIELD!! Hands-down. I live in San Diego (aka craft beer heaven) so I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to local brews. But man, when the BF and I are in Bakersfield, Lengthwise is an absolute must!! The Zeus is golden! It's 10% so it's pretty strong, but it's served in a small goblet. It's got a great taste to it. I'm also a fan of the raspberry ale. Fruity beers can be hit or miss but this one is definitely a hit. You can definitely taste the raspberry but it isn't too strong or sweet. The flavor is mild. The beer itself is pretty thick and wheaty. The food at Lengthwise is also really good! I'm a big fan of the chicken artichoke salad and the fish and chips! If you get a sandwich or burger, you must get it on focaccia. Their focaccia is really unique and adds a special wow factor to their juicy crisp burgers!
