Disappointing. Food was satisfactory but service was terrible. Amidst an onslaught of rude customers, I was very polite and patient. For some reason, they were rude to me and served my order long after others who had ordered after me even though the food I ordered was ready-made and I could literally see it sitting on the counter. After waiting so long for Lenny's to open a store in Boca, I'm sorry to say it's not a good experience. I've had two really bad experiences with them, First was ordering 2medium pies on last Thursday for Saturday- I was told by a staff person if I changed my mind about the order I could cancel- I guess she saw my shock at the price of $44 for 2 medium pies! By time I got home and thought about it I called and was told no refund. I told the woman on the phone what I was told and after some initial "discussion," I was told the refund was put thru. heard her yell at the staff about refunds while I was on the phone! Then today, I thought I'd go for a slice- I believe in 2nd chances- I was given the wrong change 3 times- I suggested a calculator - some older staff person said "what are you, a school teacher?" No, just a human being waiting for correct change. Took a bit for the slice to appear and when I asked- the same man was rude. Turned out the staff hadn't put the order in- he teen hadn't even used the system- but I was off a few minutes in how long I'd been there and this man ( owner's brother?) started yelling and yelling at me. I told him I'd just like my slice and wouldn't be back and that started another tirade. I ate a few bites- said to myself I was nuts to even be in there- and left. Awful, mean attitude, untrained staff, and $$$$$....not a good combination. read more

One of my favorite pizza joints in Miami Beach. Like most kosher places, Lenny's pizza does not mix meat with dairy (cheese) so the menu is primarily vegetarian. Although that would normally be a dealbreaker for a meat lover like myself, the sweet tangy tomato sauce and the floppy NY style slices does not disappoint. I've tried their regular slices, Sicilian, and their deep dish, and they are all delicious! The deep dish mushroom was to die for. read more

The pizza was edible, but it just wasn't very good. I think two stars is being generous however my husband thought it was good so I'm trying to offer our average score. The bread was doughy, it tasted like dry bread- I didn't know you can mess up pizza dough because bread is great but they messed it up here. The service was good. I ordered mushroom as a topping and someone was nice enough to call me back and say they were out of stock on mushrooms which was thoughtful. I ended up getting a green pepper and onion cheese pizza, the veggies were nearly raw. They didn't taste cooked. As far as kosher pizzas, not the best. My husband decided he wanted Pizza when we were visiting Miami Beach. Upon arriving I realized that they didn't have any meat on the menu and the meat that they did have was vegetarian (chicken nuggets on the kids menu). I found this very funny being that my husband love meat on his pizza. I prefer veggie pizzas but I didn't want pizza. I was very intrigued once I arrived and realized that it was a kosher restaurant. I did purchase two cheese slices which were absolutely delicious. I would have loved to had ordered an entire pizza but it would only been me eating it so I decided that to just get the two slices. It was a very good deal for the two cheese slices which was roughly about four or maybe five bucks. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

We ordered delivery from Lenny's to the Confidante Hotel this afternoon. It took about an hour to arrive. We got a small cheese and one with jalapeños, olives and onion. The crust was chewy, and reminded me of Papa John's. Nothing to write home about. The sauce was flavorful, but there wasn't much of it. It was pretty heavy in the cheese. Overall, it was an OK pie, but there are so many pizza joints around that I would try another before I went back to Lenny's. read more

I have been eating pizza at Lenny's for a while now. I really love their Lunch special that last longer than lunch :-) But today, today we made an order with uber eats to eat at home. We ordered basil, garlic, and extra cheese. OMG the pizza was the most delicious pizza I've had! It was extra oily, which I guess is due to the garlic and extra cheese. Lenny's makes a great pizza, reminds me of how they're supposed to taste, esp if you're from up north. Excellent quality, taste, texture, crispy bottom, right amount of cheese and no sugary tomato paste. I will put his pizza up against Mulberry Street any day. Eggplant Parm was fantastic, also made fresh to order and tasted great. Fyi, I entered thru the back and took a GOOD LOOK at the kitchen. As of 12/23/2017 motzei Shabbos, sorry but I'd have to say Lenny's Pizza only looks like a pizza restaurant. In reality, it's not. Four of us ordered seven slices, garlic knots, and Snapples. What we received (for about $36.00!) was something that looked like pizza, but was sugary sweet. Every member of our party expressed the same dissatisfaction. (It didn't taste at all like pizza.) There was no salt on the table. The next table had no salt, either. I approached the counter. The young lady answered she would locate some salt for us in "a few minutes." This sounded like an inadequate response! I was trying to save their disgustingly sweet pizza, while she preferred to sell more of that restaurant waste at top dollar. Then there was the heat. A normal restaurant keeps the temperature cool. Warmer temperatures discourage people from eating as much. But the temperature at Lenny's was 76°F. Another gentleman exited the establishment. I attempted to adjust the thermostat just above my head. "Lenny" exclaimed, "Don't touch that!" I shot back, "it's too warm in here!" Lenny replied, "Its a pizza restaurant! I've got ovens going! The compressor can't keep up! I advised Lenny to "get it fixed." Obviously the place is a dive. read more

I've been to Lenny's Pizza a few times now and I just can't recommend it unless you keep kosher and only want a pizza slice. This is your only option for NY pizza by the slice in mid-beach and the only Kosher one I know of in Miami Beach. The pizza itself is just disappointing, with globs of grease on top but then no corresponding cheese flavor. I highly doubt they use parmesan or provolone because you literally can't taste the cheese. On top of that, they don't have grated parmesan so you can't even make it taste better. The sauce seems straight from a can, really sweet and comparable to the sauce on a Celeste frozen pizza. However, my biggest complaint is the crust. Beyond also not having flavor...the texture is completely off. I have learned a lot about baking over the past year and make my own crust. Good pizza dough needs to ferment for a long time (minimum 16 hours) to add flavor, break down gluten and increase elasticity. This crust tastes like it was made that day and overkneaded and ends up dense but not chewy or airy. On top of this, the pizza is expensive and I don't really see why. That said, I had a different experience than most people and have received friendly service. read more

After a long stressful day(read: weeks), lennys provides a respite of tasty pizza, garlic knots and fries. The pizza had a tangy sauce that felt homemade and completely outranks other Miami Pizza spots (cassolla's, Tropical, NY Pizza, Steve's all are dwarfed in comparison). If you're looking for cheap, takeout NY style pizza; look this place up. Definitely will have my business again. I had two different people wait on me at the cash register. One was friendly while the other kept asking "what do you want, do you know yet?" I'm sorry. I've only had three hours of sleep after a long trip and I'm not miss speedy at ordering... I don't know how the pizza was able to receive such high reviews. There was no flavor. I added my own salt and other seasoning however it did not help. I did enjoy the crispyness of the crust but that was it. Do. Not. Use. The. Bathroom. I'm not kidding, there was a weird worm like creature in the sink, no soap, and the toilet paper was on the floor with no other rolls in sight. Ordered two pizzas for pick up. Pizza was really good and we were all very happy! They were very nice and welcoming. Just a heads up, they make you pay for the pizza with a credit card if you are ordering by phone. If you have cash, they will only take your order if you order in person (I didn't love that part but definitely not taking a star off for that. I can understand why they have that policy). I don't like to write reviews, but this place was so terrible that I felt it was my duty too. The only thing worse than the nasty pizza, frozen and overall disgusting food, was the shockingly terrible service my family and I have experienced here. All the waiters/ cashiers were incredibly rude, and treated you as if they did you a giant favor to just look at you- let alone take your order. We let a lot of mistreatment slide until we decided to speak to the owner of the restaurant just to be even more surprised at what a bigger "pos" he was. We finally asked for a plastic fork and a dressing for the salad and he lost his cool and yelled at us and said some nasty comments. He was overall such a nasty "human" that we understood where the workers got their inexcusable behavior from. If I could write a worse review for an hour I would. If i can give this place negative 5 stars I would. Do yourselves a favor and never step a foot in here. I would rather starve than look into the direction of this pizza store. Move on. read more

Ordered pizza from this place. Saw somewhere that it was New York style. Couldn't be further from the truth. The sauce had a lot of sugar in it and it ruined the pizza. All you could taste was the sugar. Word to the wise, don't put sugar in your tomato sauce. I won't be ordering pizza from here again. read more
