Such a great little place. Food was incredible and the server was super kind. 100% recommend for the whole family. A 16" pizza is more than enough for 3-4 people!

Fast food meets Miami cafe vibes for quick, tasty, affordable meals…read more Be sure to look out for their happy hour and late night pricing such as half off burgers, beers, and shakes. Delicious smash burgers, and when I want something somewhat healthier but still super filling and satisfying I snag their chicken burrito, which is sweetened by maduros (sweet plantains). I stopped by for a latte this morning and it was fine - average. There's an add-on option to print a custom design on your latte, which could be a fun Instagram opportunity. Service and food prep is speedy. You can call your order in 10-15 mins ahead if you want to grab it and run, or you can place an order on the computerized menu when you get there or with the helpful staff. If you're dining in, there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. No-frills and super casual, yet cozy, vibrant, welcoming, and a fun spot for a food break. That said, while there I usually see more take-out orders than dine-in. No need to worry about finding or paying for street parking since it has its own lot and designated spaces. This location also has a printer, with the option to print documents for a couple bucks.

This is a solid two star situation and I am being generous because one of those stars is purely out of pity for the effort, not the execution. The math is not mathing here and the internet needs to know. Let's start with cleanliness because that alone already set the tone. The restroom was filthy. Like the kind of dirty where you stop and think wow this photo is about to live on the internet forever and rightfully so. I live by one rule when it comes to restaurants and it has never failed me. If the restroom is dirty, the kitchen is dirty. Period. There is no universe where a restaurant magically keeps a pristine kitchen while letting the bathroom look like that. Once you see it, your appetite is gone and you're mentally clocking out of the experience. Then came the wait. Almost thirty minutes. Thirty. Minutes. And before anyone says maybe they were slammed or making something special, let me stop you right there. They are not making gourmet food. They are not crafting artisanal anything. This is heat it up and send it out energy. And it shows. Everything tasted like hotel breakfast food that's been sitting under a heat lamp wondering what it did wrong in a past life. When food takes that long, you expect effort. What we got instead was microwave confidence. The only thing that deserves any credit is the burrito and even that is me being nice. I'll give it a four out of five because at least it tasted like someone tried. But the Yes Bowl breakfast thing whatever that was is a hard no. The avocado toast is also a no. A loud no. First of all, it was not toasted. At all. It was mushy bread topped with mushy avocado and zero texture. If you are going to call something avocado toast, the toast part is not optional. That is literally half the name. What made the whole thing even more bizarre was the way they were moving. The vibe was giving empire level importance. Like they were serving a Michelin tasting menu instead of lukewarm breakfast plates. The pacing, the seriousness, the attitude did not match the food whatsoever. It was honestly confusing to watch. And yes, I did say something when the food came out cold because that matters. Do not let cold food slide. What did they do? Put it in the microwave. Immediately obvious. The potatoes should have been on a grill with oil and heat. Instead they came back tasting reheated and sad. That is not fixing the problem, that is confirming it. Overall this was a waste of money and a waste of time, and the only reason I'm even writing this is because people deserve to know. I will not be going back. I do not recommend it. And if you find yourself here with cold food, just know they are not remaking anything, they are reheating it. Sometimes a bad review is not hate, it is public service. This one is absolutely that.

And yes, I know how wild that sounds. But hear me out, because this experience was about way more than just what was on the plate. From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and honestly infectious. The staff made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. There was laughter, conversation, and this genuine sense that the people working there actually enjoy being there. That alone already sets Rice apart. And then there was Joanne. I'm pretty sure that was her name, but even if it wasn't, she knows exactly who she is. Absolute queen behavior. She welcomed us like family, checked in on us, brought the food to the table with pride, and somehow made a casual dinner feel like a VIP experience. That level of hospitality is rare, and it deserves recognition. Service alone was a perfect five out of five. Now let's talk food honestly. The meats were very good. Flavorful, well cooked, satisfying, and clearly the strong point of the menu. Everything came out quickly, which I appreciated, and overall the meal felt solid. The rice, however, was a bit of a letdown. I would honestly rate it around a five out of ten, which stung a little given the name of the restaurant. It wasn't inedible, just underwhelming, and it stood out because everything else was better. Would it stop me from enjoying the meal? No. Would I hope they improve it? Absolutely. The restaurant itself has a modern feel overall. The restroom was clean, which always matters, even if it felt a bit outdated. No bad smells, no mess, just clearly maintained, and that counts for a lot in my book. Pricing wise, this is where I paused for a second. I'm from Los Angeles, and the prices here felt very competitive with LA. Portion sizes were also similar to what I'm used to back home. Miami overall has felt slightly more affordable during this trip, so this spot landed more on the higher end for me. That said, the nonstop to go orders told me everything I needed to know. People clearly love this place, and they keep coming back. At the end of the day, Rice earns five stars because of the people, the atmosphere, and the way they make you feel when you're there. Not every meal has to be perfect to be memorable. Sometimes it's the warmth, the laughter behind the counter, and the way you're treated that makes a place worth supporting. I may think twice if the rice stays the same, but I walked out smiling, and that says a lot. If you value great service, good energy, and flavorful Mediterranean food with heart, Rice is absolutely worth a visit.

I finally made it in and unfortunately, left a little disappointed. It's possible I just ordered poorly, but the chicken I chose for my protein (I believe it's called the "slow-cooked chicken") was shredded a little too finely for my liking and had a hard-to-describe flavor I don't typically associate with Mediterranean food. Also, it was served at a tepid temperature, further diminishing the experience. I'll return for one of the cubed meats, or perhaps the snapper; they looked decent and might be the way to go here.

We came in on a Friday and it was pretty busy but no wait and we got seated right away. Although the restaurant is casual it is super cute. It is very spacious and has a beautiful bar. It is great for small or large groups. And even great to go by yourself or with children. Once seated we were greeted with their nice waitress who answered all our questions and gave great recommendations. I love that there was a wide variety on the menu for food and drinks. And they had lunch specials and weekly deals. We shared their strong cuban coffee since we knew it was super strong. It was so delicious and perfect sweetness. To start, we went with their beef potato balls, and recommended empanadas de ropa vieja. Each came with two. The beef potato balls were huge and came out with a red sauce. It was fried perfectly and had lots of flavor. The empanadas though were my favorite. The crispy outer empanadas were divine. The shredded beef inside was so flavorful and moist and went well with their yummy green sauce. We loved the sauce so much we asked for more with our meal. For lunch, I had the beef skewers. It came with a side which I got black beans and it also came with some yummy plantains. The two skewers were super filling, cooked just right, and juicy. The person I came with got their cubano sandwich, which I believe is a must if you want a sandwich. It was filled with goodness, large portion, and came with fried plantain chips. Yum! Pricing is affordable. Service was excellent. The wait to get our check took awhile but we had to wait for our driver anyway. I can't wait to visit Miami again to come back here.
