Came for an emergency eye visit during this covid19 pandemic. I can't express my gratitude and my overall satisfaction with my visit on 5/9/2020. First I'd like to recognize they are taking safety measures before even walking in . Only person allowed is one being helped and masks are mandatory. This makes me feel so at ease. Thank you for wearing them , I know it's not the most comfortable thing. I want to thank Dani, Tina and Shanon and Dr. Winkler for their amazing service. The office was clean and hand sanitizer available at every section of the office. My eyeglasses were ready that same day and they made sure I was satisfied my purchase before leaving . Customer service is horrible here the manager Tara is super rude They charged my husband for services that they said were not covered by our insurance which is fine but be upfront about it. they decided to tell him after the exam when then there was nothing he could do but pay for it. He wasn't given the choice to say nope I dont want to go that route. when we told Tara about it she insisted my husband was told this info because everyone is told and as my husband said no one told him they were super busy rushing him into the exam no one told him she said that wasn't possible even though she wasn't there so how could she 100% confirm that. she couldn't and there was no reason for her to respond to us like if we were lying. Okay so let me just say the customer service was amazing!!!! You walk in and they all say hello ! Marissa came right up to us and asked if we needed anything and we explained what it was that we needed and she showed up where we could pick out the frames. We were looking for a bit and she kept coming up to asking asking if we were doing alright ! ( not in that annoying way tho) She was very sweet and even gave us this little box where we could place the frames that we liked until we found the one. Once we had about 3 or 4 options she honestly gave the best advice! We picked out these polo frames that I loved ! She sat us down and showed us all our options ! Great and speedy service! I arrived frustrated after breaking my frames. Tina was the best ! She provided excellent suggestions for new frames ! Although she said it would take up to 14 days to have them ready, I was notified that my new frames were ready for pickup within 2 days which was fantastic! Honestly, I have had prescription glasses since I was six years old. I am now twenty five. Never have I had bad experiences getting my glasses. Until I met LensCrafter. I took a chance on them and I regret it to the fullest. I literally feel like I have been shot one thousand times w/ the amount of stress I have had to deal with navigating this company. Whether it is getting in contact w/ customer service which is unreliable and not efficient; or speaking with some of their associates that are liars. It has all been downhill. Constantly, they have told me they apologize and they apologize. However, what is an apology worth if at the end of the day the only thing that has been consistent w/ them are there errors and inability to adequately give correct information. If you are wanting to make a purchase here. I would reconsider five different times before you do. Sometimes the hassle ain't worth the amount of disdain you get left in your mouth. read more

The service her is amazing their very helpful and take their time with each guest. Working in retail myself I understand when you only have two employees and four customers. Kudos to this LensCrafters, specifically to Shannon for the service I received. I think it must be a real challenge to maintain the social distancing measures needed to keep this store open. It's such an inconvenience but ultimately I appreciate that they are doing what they reasonably can to protect my health. I felt that Shannon genuinely wanted to help me out. Unfortunately, I needed a replacement for my progressive glasses right away and wouldn't you know, what I needed was not in stock. Well, Shannon got on the phone with another store and confirmed they had the lenses I needed before sending me there. I am grateful for her empathy and effort. So why only 4 stars? First off: this review isn't for the eye doctor. He was GREAT. Friendly, knowledgeable (of course, because he is the only person here with any kind of educational background) and quick, but not rushed. I felt like he answered all of my questions and actually cared about his patients. However, he can't save this place from the front-end staff. I WORKED AT LENSCRAFTERS AND SUNGLASS HUT all through high school and my first 2 years of college, so I know exactly what to expect. This was a disaster though... I've been in twice now (first day to get the exam and pick glasses, second day to pick them up, now I have to go back a third time to correct them). The day of the exam: it was obvious they were training a new employee. I have no problem with that -- obviously everyone needs real-life training in a new job and I'm happy to be the customer they practice on (generally) because I don't mind if they have to ask questions all the time, and I'm not usually in any rush. HOWEVER, the staff that should have been training her basically left her to the wolves. The two girls were just wandering around the store trying to "look busy" tidying up stations here an d there, pretending to go over paperwork at the register. Meanwhile, the line of people wanting to pick up or order glasses was growing and growing and they just kept telling people "She'll help you once she's done with this customer (me)" but we weren't even CLOSE to being done. Of course, everyone starts getting agitated, so she starts rushing through things with me. She stopped asking her manager questions, and instead just tried to assume a bunch of stuff on her own that was WRONG (i.e it took her 15-20 minutes to enter my insurance info, only to find out when we tried to ring it up, that she entered it wrong and we had to start over). I ordered a fairly straight-forward pair of sunglasses (Ray-Ban Aviators) with no special coatings or anything, but when I was telling her I need the anti-reflective and anti-glare, she said they couldn't do that in the color that I wanted (which I know wasn't true, because I worked there and although they don't work well on GREEN lenses, I wanted the BROWN specifically because they CAN put it on there.) Instead of asking for help, she just told me she added it, but then didn't, so when I came to pick them up the next day, they were all wrong and I could tell right away, but at that point, they told me that adding it would be a huge upcharge (since I already used my insurance benefits for the glasses and this would be a separate transaction, it wouldn't take the discount that my insurance provides for those unless I returned the glasses and re-ordered the whole thing, which they said, with their new system, could end up showing that I already used my benefits and I'd have to spend up to 2 weeks filing a claim with my insurance to correct it, then come back and start over, basically.) It was a total shit-show. I ended up just asking them to add an extra coat of gradient brown so they at least had some glare protection just by being darker lenses. They agreed, but told me I'd have to come back the next day (it was about 2.5 hours til they closed). Again, it was a new girl who had NO IDEA how to handle the situation, and the managers just sat back and watched her, offering no help. ****I asked if I could just get my eyeglasses tightened and adjusted before I left and she was very happy to help with that. HOWEVER, she used the plastic heater to bend them at the bridge instead of adjusting the arms inward. ADJUSTING CURVATURE OF EYEGLASSES RUINS THEM! They look fine, but after wearing them, I'm getting dizzy and nauseous doing normal things (like walking around my house, or working at my desk at work). now I have to go back AGAIN to get them taken care of. IF YOU WORK AT AN OPTOMETRY OFFICE, YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW PRESCRIPTION GLASSES WORK. You CANNOT adjust the curvature of eyeglasses like that!!! Of course, I should have known since I was once a LensCrafters girl, that they don't train you on that stuff and everyone who works there is basically a teenager who is solely there to sell you high-end brands, NOT trained on ANYTHING that actually has to do with the health of your eyes or how glasses work. UGH, I'm so mad at myself, but SERIOUSLY frustrated with the incompetence of this office. HUGE MISTAKE COMING HERE. read more

Okay, so where do I begin? ...I guess with a "Everyone Please do NOT go to this location" I went here about a month & a half ago and got stuck with a wannabe b*tch for a customer service rep. She was honestly one of the rudest people I have encountered in a long time! (Man I wish I remembered her name..all I remember is she looked 45-55 with blond hair!!) Anyway, she had an attitude from the moment I walked in & constantly said extremely rude, uncalled for comments to me--she was a pure witch! I called the location as soon as I got home to complain to the manager about her @sshole of an employee... but the supervisor I spoke with on the phone literally had half a brain and insisted that her employees rude demeanor was simply her way of providing me with good customer service. ---WHAT THE FUDGE?!? I was filled with hope and positive feelings as I drove to your Anaheim, CA site. I was doing quite well until I experienced a very young female employee that was extremely condescending. When I decided on the frames I liked, she told me that she liked the ones she chose. How dare she! Isn't the customer always right or has this adage changed to accommodate the changing times? I requested that I would like glass lenses. She informed me that because I was "old" there could be problems like falling or loosing one footing. Your representatives need to be careful when he/she comment about a woman's age, especially when I would rather not be REMINDED of my age. I am a young 64 year old and am proud of it. If you look back you can see that my previous review was from August 12, in which they called to follow up (or get me to come for another appt). To which I gave her an ear full, about the $40 retina scan I was convinced to purchase, which they were going to send me copies of everything. Well, on November 8th I received an email from LensCrafter with the attached retina scans. In a format that the computer doesn't know how to open, but at least I have them. Only 17 months after my exam during which they promised to send the scans in a couple days... Somehow, I do not believe most people would accept a couple days as being around 500 days. Since they are in an unknown or proprietary format that I cannot open, I don't even know that the files received were retina scans... or that a year and a half later, that the scans are even of my eye. read more

This place has the dustiest display of frames I've ever seen. My experience here was terrible. I kept getting asked do I have a prescription by every associate when I just came to browse. Felt like I was being watched by a lady named Trina who talks like a baby and another blonde haired lady who thought she was a stand up comedian. Annoying af. Called for a same day appt at 530pm and got a 6pm appt...wow. Came into the store and was greeted by Luna. She was so sweet along the entire way. The initial tests and formal test all took less than 30 min and the Dr listened to all of my concerns. Luna and another wonderful young lady helped me pick out the perfect pair and made me feel great about my decision. Once I picked out a frame, my glasses were done within 20 min. I truly cannot believe how amazing the service was here today. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a pair of glasses. read more

The good: scheduled eye exam online, professional staff, reasonable selection, fast service. The bad: Bait and switch technique on the eye exam. I scheduled an 'eye exam' and when I got the bill, they had listed the 'intermediate eye exam' fee separately from a 'sale' for an 'optomap' for which which I neither requested nor scheduled an appointment. They claim this is standard. Seriously? Now I'm out $34 for a nonreimbursable 'sale' for a service I didn't need, want, or request. They claim it the optomap 'sale' is standard with a comprehensive eye exam (but they don't explain that the 'comprehensive' exam includes this extra, nonreimbursable sale item of optomap). Seriously?! If I schedule an eye exam that is all I want - an eye exam. This type of nonsense should be stopped by the state attorney general and BBB. Its completely unfair to the consumer! read more

Honestly, I went to expecting to get new glasses, new lens for my sunglasses, and to get an eye exam. I went in right before my girlfriend and I could go to Disneyland and I could pick them up after. But while I was looking around all the sales reps were ignoring me and did not want to help me. I also went to the receptionist in order to ask for some help, and she just pointed me in the direction of the glasses that were on sale since I did not have insurance..... Like honestly they would have gotten at least 700 dollars because that was my bill at the next optometrist I went to. I do not recommend this place because they will treat you like trash. read more

I ordered an annual supply of contact lenses and they assure me that they will arrive within 3-4 days and that they would call me to keep me updated. Never kept me updated and was very rude every time I called to check up on it. Okay just to start off, I don't usually write reviews unless I've been somewhere a couple of times, or unless it is such a bad experience that I end up having to let people know or I guess you could say "warn" them about certain places. So here we go. I've been to a few Lenscrafters,(mostly ones at the mall) and their customer service (if it was an option at all) was always lower than a star. By chance I came across this location because my aunt lived in the area and I was in need of new prescription. So we walk in, to be honest I wasn't expecting much. We were immediately greeted to my surprise, I feel bad for not being sure if his name was Randy or Robert, but I distinctly remember overhearing a lady with red hair say he was a manager in training, but that would not surprise me because I would define him as a chameleon. Weird I know but that's the first thing that popped into my head. Why? BEST SERVICE EVER! This guy was running the entire floor, jumping from me, to greeting customers, to picking up phone calls, to checking on how others were doing, and giving people their glasses for pick up. I kind of just stood back and watched. The best part of it all is that he got confirmation from the customers before excusing himself every time, WITH a smile on his face. I think chameleon came to mind because as I observed him, I noticed each of the customers he helped had different personalities (including myself), but he was able to adapt and keep us all satisfied. He was very pleasant and seemed to genuinely want to help everyone of us there. Now, I know its only FOUR stars, the reason I took one away is because of the other staff that was around. I didn't really understand why there were more than enough people there, but they all seemed to be in their own world chatting and looking preoccupied with whatever was on their iPads. It honestly seemed like a one man team to me, which doesn't really matter I guess since the gentleman that helped us seemed more than capable of taking care of what needed to be done. If you ever come into this branch in particular, I HIGHLY recommend you ask for him, again I apologize for not being too sure about his name. It started with an "R" for sure though. Either way, when you come in, you can't miss him...Asian, dresses fashionably well, big black glasses, and a bow tie! I would be more than happy to return to this branch and have him help me out. I'll update my review once I come in again. Let's just say that this is a perfect example of how GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE can save a review! What started out as a crisis turned into fun for everyone! My friend lost her contact in the pool while we were in Anaheim, so off we went to Lenscrafters where they received a fax for her prescription from chicago. She just needed one lens and didn't want to buy a whole box. This is where Brittany saved the day. We started talking about eye insurance and Brittany quickly brought up her benefits and found all kinds of unused benefits. We walked out with 4 boxes of contacts and sunglasses for 3 of us! Finally, my Ray Bans! If I lived closer, this would become my eye care center. Who knows, they're so good, I might just make the drive! read more

I have used this location several times. My most recent exam and prescription eyewear purchase was pleasant and ez. My sales rep was happy, well informed and knew answers to all my technical questions. I purchased 1 pair of Oakley "Oilcan" shades. Had a custom pair of "windless" lenses made for a motorcycle frame I supplied. And one pair of Italian import rimless frames. Everything was perfect including the exam. They give multi discounts where possible. I used my AAA for one pair. My Aetna health insurance for a discount on another. And also they filled out my VSP vision insurance reimbursement form for me. This place is highly unorganized and the store itself is a mess. They have no check in for appointments so if you've made an appointment they will let you just stand there while taking in walk-ins. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing, they try to upsell everything to the point you feel like you're at a car dealership. The whole process just takes forever, even if you know exactly what you want, it's very frustrating. The store is very dirty, I almost left right when I walked in, wish I had. PROS: Very helpful, kind staff. Karen (the assistant/front desk rep) was very friendly and assisted me in first getting my contact lenses. The Doctor (Dr. Chi? female, Asian) was also extremely nice and sincere. They were very upfront about their costs and expenditures. They however didn't pressure me when I insisted on taking my prescription for contacts elsewhere to pay less. I actually ended up purchasing them there because of the excellent service and offer of the free no-interest credit card. The facility is the best I've seen in optometry...very clean, comfy, at least 4-5 exam rooms, nice displays and very spacious. You can even get your eye glasses prescription in 1 hour!!! CONS: When you need glasses or contacts, you are going to pay alot. I ended up spending around 500 (exam, contacts, etc) which was more than what I wanted, but I was indeed so impressed with the service and quality that I didn't think twice. They open at 9am too, sometimes being open at 8 would be better for my schedule. read more

Thank you, thank you to this Lenscrafters location.  I appreciate the AWESOME Customer Service right from the very start.  I recently relocated and needed my annual eye exam.  Although I was a little leery of going to this type of "bigger" companies because of a previous bad experience, I thought I'd give it a try because a family member tried it before.  I made the RIGHT CHOICE .  With CoVid going on, I had to call first to see if there was anything I needed to be aware of but there was nothing really.  This great service started w/that appointment I scheduled w/Jennifer.  This pretty set the tone of knowing this visit will be PERFECT.  Then, it was Shannon, Dani (not sure if I spelled this correctly), Dr. Pham & Stephanie who took care of my needs AND made sure I was taken care of.  It was a great visit.  I look forward for other office visits for any of my vision needs.  Thank you, again read more

The eye doctor was great but the customer service representatives were not tentative at all. I was 6 minutes late and my appointment was rescheduled when the entire lobby was empty... they said they would text me when my glasses were ready and never heard back. When they called to remind me of my follow up appointment I asked about the status of my glasses and the girl asked me my name and if I had been there before, the left me on hold for over 25 minutes. I don't normally do reviews but this location has frustrated me so much that I wanted to write my experience. My service was great with the doctor at this location. When I first came in to do my eye exam and purchase my glasses everyone was nice. All that has changed when I had to return one my glasses and quickly changed into a horrible experience. This was a different associate compared to when I was first assisted. At first they didn't want to give me my return because it was passed the 30 days of when I first initially purchased the glasses. When I purchased my glasses it took about almost 3 weeks for me to receive them. I didn't really like one of the pairs and wanted to return them when I first received them but the associate told me to try them out and she had notified me that I have 30 days from WHEN I receive the glasses to return them. Then when I came back to this store to return them the associate was giving me a hard time because it was passed the 30 days mark. When I came in to do the return it was only one day past the 30 day mark of when I INITIALLY first purchase them on February 8, and I had picked up my glasses three weeks from that date. When I did my return it was only 13 days from when I picked it up and was told that I had 30 days to return from THAT time. You guys probably do this to confuse customers and refuse their return which I think is unethical. You need to talk to your associates to clarify when exactly to return because there is a lot of miscommunication between your associates. It's not fair that your associates are giving out misinformation on your return policy. How am I suppose to try out the glasses when I receive them so late and then I only have a week to try them because of that 30 days return policy. The return policy needs to take into consideration of the time it takes for the customer to receive the glasses because it is not fair to screw the customer out of getting their return. I lost my insurance benefits because I made this return and it's now a waste of money because I planned to use my insurance for my frames and lenses. Then this sales associate did not want to assist me with my insurance benefits being applied to my other pair that I purchased out of pocket. That associate told me that I would need to call my insurance to reset my allowance to use on the glasses and that it would take 30 days. I called my insurance and they told me that the associate was not correct and that my allowance has reset automatically once Lens crafters made the adjustment on the return. I'm sure the associate did not want to deal with me and just said that to get me out of the store. I have worked as a manager in customer service for over 8 years and the experience at this location was not professional and the misinformation that this location gives out to customers is so frustrating. It's funny how your associates are all nice to make a sale but when I need to make a return all of a sudden the attitude in your associates change. I'm never going to this location again. The doctor was great but the sales associates not so much. This was the worst customer service experience ever! What a waste of my time and money read more

I want to tell you about Danny he is employed at Lenscrafters in West Dundee Spring Hill Mall I had several issues they tried prisms to correct double vision issue unsuccessful I'm on my 4th eye exam scheduled next Wednesday I was kind of frustrated disappointed I knew I had time left on my 30 day return policy which I was informed I did not have any more time left that was incorrect Danny jumped right on my issues listening intentivily troubleshooting my problems coming with a resolution scheduling logging in my online file to forward to the Doctor efficient yes so if he was not working that day every one could pull up the email be on the same page he Exceeded my Expectations developing Customer Pleasant Experience that I value as a Consumer give this young man an Award buy him lunch give him a Raise he's truly exceptional at his job Denise Brown angeldfj1@comcast.net read more

I walked in at 6:00pm, was greeted, and asked what I needed help with. I told they lady in the front I just needed a copy of my prescription. She told me I would have to wait about 10 minutes as everyone was occupied, which is totally okay. 20 minutes go by and nobody has said a word to me since. I broke the nose pad off my glasses and went to the store to see if they can fix it. When I told the lady, she immediately said no problem, I'll be around 10 minutes. 5 minutes later, she came to me to try on the glasses. The nose pad holder was bent, she tweaked it a bit and Voila! Done. Asked her how much it cost, and she said they are free! Wow! I'm not even their customer but now I will be! I'm going back to purchase a pair of glasses there. read more

Had a wonderful experience with this location. Came in to get an emergency pair of contact lenses and was helped right away and got the lenses in less than an hour. Next day changed my mind needed to get glasses instead. They quickly worked with me to get me my glasses during my visit and they even went above and beyond and stayed a little longer to make sure my glasses were done correctly. Great no wait on a Sunday i made the appointment that day. I ran out of contacts and didn't have insurance since I switched jobs, but the prices were reasonable. Weekend hours make this place awesome as well as a friendly staff. Quick exam and ordering of my contacts. Dr. Winkler was the Optometrist that saw me I thought her last name was awesome for an eye Dr. She was friendly and did a great job as well. I will be coming back to get a pair of glasses as well I usually don't wear them but good to have at night or to put on quickly. Huge office plenty of parking.
