We (the hubby and me) have been going to LensCrafters for years (in different states and cities). And I yelped this one and was ready to not come in, but hey we needed to go somewhere. Well I am glad we did!! The customer service was great!! We were actually late, but someone called and left a voicemail asking if we were running late or needed to reschedule. We showed up, filled out some paperwork, and were on our way to get the eye exam started. Didn't have to wait too long at all. Doctor: We got to meet Dr. Chiou she did our eye exam and was very detailed and gave us time to ask a whole bunch of questions (lol). The doctor was kind, sweet, funny, and kept it neutral (my hubby and I were competing to see who had better vision lol). Time to pick glasses and sunglasses: All of the people on the floor were very friendly. We got Callie to help us. And she was effin awesome!!!!!! I am way more picky than my hubby (what a shocker right? lol) and she was the perfect person to help us pick out our frames. Based on the frames we brought in she was able to pull some for us. We tried those out and then went on to find some other ones...since we wanted something different! Callie was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, nice, annnnnd most of all patient!!! When it comes to frame style--I think you need to be honest with yourself as far as the kind of face shape you have and name it for them, so they don't feel uncomfortable trying to phrase it in the best way for you. She made sure we got the best price for what we wanted to get. She walked us through how she handled our insurance part. Glasses and sunglasses are expensive period! This is not Target or right off the kiosk brand...I have some from there too, but every now and then you want to treat yourself. Yes, they might be a bit more pricey, but they also have a business to run and people to pay. It is what it is...every place will have this. The manager Christina was cool too! She was on the floor like everyone else and interacting with the customers. It's important for the managers to be just as friendly and welcoming and that's what she was. We will definitely be back for next set of glasses and will be looking for Callie! read more

Today I went to go pick up my glasses and it was pretty busy in there so I knew I was in for a wait and didn't mind. I was then asked to sit down and wait and so was another woman who had come in AFTER I did. Once the employee was available (Maria), she actually attended to the other woman who had come in AFTER I did, DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT. I had to wait an extra 20 or so minutes until I was actually helped by the retail manager (DeNisha) who had just clocked in for work. She was really nice and was very helpful. If you do choose to come here, ask for either DeNisha or Cynthia. If you're getting an eye exam, ask for Dr. Miyazaki. People who don't know how to do their jobs there are Maria and Brad. Don't go to the one located at Macy's LensCrafters. First of all, the manager is pretty rude and crafty. In addition, this place is horrible. They don't even know how to treat customers. My eye exam and glasses were not good at all. My eye exam cost $99.00 and my glasses $715.00. First time I had a headache when I was wearing my glasses and the frame already scratched inside. I went there and talked the store manager. I told her that I have a headache while I was wearing glasses and my glasses already scratched inside. She told me "oh our doctors are really good " and then she left. I don't know how she got her manager position. I'm pretty sure coz of this woman LensCrafters company lose a lot money. From the phone call same day appointment to entering this location Estevan helped me tremendously! Love this place! Great customer service, friendly and relaxed environment. Associates were sincere when offering to help with anything you need. Optometrist was very friendly and helpful! The eyeglass lens technician very friendly and worked on my eyeglasses within minutes. Fast friendly service!! Estevan went above and beyond to help me with my purchase for myself and my son. Prices are a little expensive but worth every penny for the amazing service I received. Came here for contacts fitting and exam. Got fitted and the doctor said I didn't need a follow up since I've been wearing contacts and glasses for over a decade. A couple days later I'm online trying to order contacts and I find out that there's a hold on my insurance. WTH?!! Why would LensCrafters have authorization to put a hold on my insurance? That's just flat out wrong. In order for me to fix this I have to call the contacts company, call my insurance, have the insurance company call LensCrafters and take off the hold. Just to buy some contacts? I'm already annoyed that LenCrafters charges me MORE MONEY to buy glasses with insurance than me paying out of pocket without insurance. Forget this place, take your money to walmart, target, or your private eye doctor to purchase glasses. read more

I went in and was able to get a same day appointment because I was having "vision problems" earlier that week. Everything checked out okay, the associate helped me find the right fit for a new pair of glasses and told me they had to order them and that they'd be in 8-10 business days. Sure enough, they called me in 8 days later and I got my glasses. About three weeks later the lens fell out and I walked in to get it fixed. The problem was minor... a loose screw. The entire time I visited the location I didn't have issues with rudeness or attitude. I will be going to this location again as I was very satisfied with their service. read more

Went here last year and had a great experience with someone named Umi, but unfortunately doesn't work there anymore. Had problems with the vision insurance, but Umi was able to figure it out. This year I called ahead to make sure it wouldn't happen again and they assured me there would be no problems. After wasting 45 mins of my time waiting, the new employees still don't know what their doing and still couldn't pull up my vision insurance and gave me an alternative solution which would involve me wasting more time and money. Don't go there if you get a lot money, I was go there on Friday for the buy a sunglasses to get free sun lens, but they tell me I need come back on Sunday because doctor are going, ok, I can come back, and at Sunday, they tell me I need do a eye exam, ok i do it, and it cost 74.95, and they tell me the sunglasses I looking for can't get the free lens, I need pay 350 for the lens, and wtf, why I pay 75 for the eye exam if you guys can't do it, but tell me can on Friday then. The doctor is great! She was able to answer all my questions and explain thoroughly. However, I am giving this location a 2 star review due to their customer service. When setting up an apt the person that assisted me, Ms. T, was not understanding what I was going for and assume the reason for the apt instead of looking into my information. Furthermore, there has been a lack of communication with the client in regards to when the lenses are available with no follow ups. I think customer service is very important and makes people go back but the representatives lack friendliness to their customers. I would definitely recommend another location like west covina which I have had extraordinary experience. read more

Had the WORST experience with this store. Took my sunglasses to get repaired(to install new screw) So, my wife went to pick it up next day, found out lens is broken & they said it's our Co policy, we're NOT responsible for broken lenses. That policy is not on their receipt or anywhere in store. Employee didn't say anything about it either. What a perfect answer.-joke. My wife was assured that store manager will contact us in few minutes to take care of it. 3 days past no phone call, So I decided to call back. Manager was not availble again, left message & few hrs later got call from him(Rashik??) Same answer from manager too. Sorry can't do anything about it. Manager offered me to buy any glasses for 50% off, but their prices are very high & I want my glasses back, I don't want to spend money to buy glasses @ ridiculous& overpriced prices. This store is great! Before going to LensCrafters, my insurance sent me to their approved doctor for an eye exam. I took the prescription to LensCrafters. I wasn't seeing well with the prescription. Dr. Nghe gave me a thorough eye examination. She realized the doctor had made a mistake. I was then helped by Christina with frames and lenses. I wasn't pressured into expensive frames and she listened to what I wanted. Christina and Dr. Nghe couldn't have been nicer. Thanks you guys. I'm definitely coming back! read more

I came here once because I desperately need a new pair of glasses. Made an appointment for the early morning and it was quick and easy. Day of appointment, I only had to wait for a bit before one of the assistance's came to do all those test thingy before the doctor to run the real test. STAFF: Friendly and pretty good at their job. (I'll go into more details about that in a bit) PRICES: Insanely high. The eye exam itself is pretty expensive, then you add the glasses I bought, the frames itself were the cheapest one there, but then the glass frames, OMG, that took a arm and a leg from me. It's insane. The staff here tells you all the prices on the glass outside frame and the eye examination, but they don't go into details about the prices for the inside glass frames. So when I said the staff is friendly, I was meaning that the assistance and the doctor would ask you if you want to have all these extra test done on you to make sure your eyes are in great condition, that these test could also tell if your body has problems..blah blah blah..and I was such a sucker that I believed them and paid all that extra money for pointless test. WAIT TIME: The wait time for the glasses weren't bad. 1 pair took 1 hour and the second pair because they didn't have the glass frames, it took 2 days. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Friendly staff, but wouldn't recommend coming here without eye insurance. read more

Cheap Service for Expensive Cost. I was there last week November and had my eyes exam . All I wanted to was okay pair that does not cost me out of my pocket and paid out from my insurance. Instead, they added unnecessary things to the my bill like non-scratch and anti-reflection, etc.. Even with contesting, I end up paying over $170 just for very basic pair of glasses. They were so cheap that they could not even give me a cleaning cloth for my glasses. I would freak if they would not give a case for them.. I will never go back to this place since I still cannot see my clearly with this new pair. Very poorly done. waisted my money and insurance. read more

I bought my husband's prescription glasses here and told the sales lady I did not want to purchase the scratch guard, and the polycarbonate material for the glasses and yet she still charged me all the extra charges which my vision insurance did not cover. I recently purchased Ray-Ban frames at the LensCrafters inside the Macy's at Santa Anita mall. Meeah was my sales clerk. Meeah had me at " hello and welcome to LensCrafters how can I help you?" She was very knowledgeable and very professional in guiding me towards the correct frames that I was looking for. It turns out that two weeks later I decided to turn in my frames and add prescription lenses to my frames. The process was very simple and they helped me with everything that I needed to get the prescription and the lenses. Jennifer was the day manager at the time and she was fantastic. She made me feel very comfortable and did not give me any problems with my upgrade for the prescription lenses. And finally the optometrist was very helpful very kind and very professional. Overall my experience at the LensCrafters was exceptional I would recommend anybody looking to get frames or exam that they focus their attention towards LensCrafters and they will not be disappointed. I was able to use my Insurance and was offered the accidental replacement of my frame and lenses for up to one year which I quickly took advantage of. Once again I want to thank Meeah and Jennifer for their outstanding service and look forward to any future exams and purchases of eyewear. You guys are awesome!!!! read more

Front desk is extremely inefficient at scheduling appointments and has made mistakes every time I've come here. They either schedule me on the wrong day or tell me that I don't have an appointment when I show up on at my appointed time. They are unapproachable, unfriendly, ignore their customers, and avoid my questions, suggesting I go to the far side of the store in an attempt to get me to leave. I've never been to any optometrist place like this. Zero stars if I could. read more

I went there a couple of weeks ago to get an eye exam and some glasses. The out-the-door price for 2 pairs of glasses seemed expensive but that isn't why I'm posting this. I was able to go home with one pair the same day. My wife and I went into today to pick up the 2nd pair and to get her eyes checked. A few days ago I noticed there was a slight scratch in the inside of one of the lenses of the 1st pair. So when we went in today to see if I can get the lens replaced. I spoke to the lab manager first because he brought out my 2nd pair of glasses (he didn't seem very helpful). He said I needed to speak to the store manager. When I spoke to her she said she needed to speak to the lab manager. Bottom line is, they have 2 people check each pair of glasses and there is no way they could have missed that. Well, as certain as they are of that, I am certain that I didn't scratch it. Since I bought the "scratch and damage" insurance, she told me that I just have to pay the $25 copay and they'll fix it. My wife was ready to get at least one pair of glasses and my son was going to come in. And initially I told my co-workers that I liked LensCrafters because they were friendly when I went in the first time. So for $25, they lost my future business. My wife decided she didn't want to have her exam so that's more lost business. We will tell or son to look somewhere else. I will, of course, tell my co-workers what I found out. read more

Excellent working filling my eye glass prescriptions with Christina! Amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. She helped with the frames and the fitting as I would expect. But, when she went to process the bill, my insurance came back with no benefit. I do have eyeglass coverage. She figured out exactly what the problem was and indeed, when I called my insurance company she was correct. I would commend her ability! And when I returned she had the insurance coverage ready and processed the new bill efficiently. What a pleasure. I also liked the range of choices for eye glass frames they had. read more

It seemed like the person helping me was training. Then Christina left me a message. Glasses are done - great! I don't know why people have so much negative reviews but, I came in desperate need of eye glasses because mines broke and I don't have extra pairs. They were short staffed I understand that. But, they got to me as quickly as possible since i already knew what i wanted.
