Store suppose to be open at 11:00, two girls just come out from the store at 10:55 and went toward the food court, and 20 min later come back with a cup of coffee (11:15). Finally open the store and they didn't even greet the customers. Act like "Hey, get your business done and get out of here!" type of attitude. And try to push to sell you more expensive type of add-on to your normal lens. Definitely would not come back again. read more

This store has bad customer service. We ordered to have my daughter contact lenses be delivered to the house but it was never delivered. Sales associates Kelsey said it waa never ordered so they will have it instead deliver in the Cerritos mall lenscrafters. It's been a month & half now, still no contact lenses. I had broken my frames and went into this store last Saturday to see if the might have something close to my existing frame.f course the did not but recommended going to Linden Optical in Pasadena. I did find a frame which were 98% able to hold my lenses and subsequently I bought the frame and I am very satisfied. This entire location really understands superior service. The young woman who greets you is so warm and welcoming. Mr. Baselyous , the optician, is so polite and respectful. He explains things in a very concise and comprehensible manner. He is amazingly patient while I was trying to decide which pair of glasses to purchase. He really understands the merchandise and is great at matching the customer's specific needs to the right product. Also, Dr. Murakami is the best optometrist I have ever been to. She gave me the most comprehensive and detailed exam that I have ever had. She also really listened to my specific concerns and needs when it comes to glasses. I don't need glasses, I was told I had a Almost perfect vision which make no sense, because she did not say I have 20 20. Weird. Don't go here. I do wear glasses, went to see another eye doctor, and I don't have a perfect vision. My insurance covers everything, yet they wanted to charge be 45 and plus for another exam, nope insurance will cover all. Bottom line the doctor was annoyed with my history of heath problem (brain) , she made a nasty sound coming out of her mouth. I then felt unconfortable. I was also checking how they tested the next patient and it was not confidential I heared everything, which in my case that unprofessional. Close the door. I was also told I could drive with my eye dilated. This is a big hell no. I could of crashed and I would have been involve in a bigger problem. read more

The only reason why I still go here is because I finally found one doctor that I actually think is professional and helpful. Christina Liu! She's the best, but she doesn't work there often anymore. It's been like that for years, why don't they do something about it!! -If you order something, don't wait for them to call you. Came here today w/hubby and I want to commend Dr. Murakami for explaining well to me what the tests were for and how to go about it and also her patience in answering my questions on what frames she'd recommend based on my needs. She was also gentle and approachable (w/c is rare among doctors nowadays) I'm a nurse so I know. I'm also impressed with the efficiency (w/the updated equipments) since I only walked in, it took less than 3ish hours to get my eyes pre-checked by Estevan, 15mins. later be checked by Dr. Murakami and then about 5ish my glasses were ready to go. Estevan was also so patient in waiting for me to choose which frames I'm purchasing as well as very engaging to me and my husband. He was helpful to give me options as to how I may pay for my glasses so that was super helpful! So thankful for the current discounts as well as my AAA membership. I have to admit that we came to LensCrafters rather than a local shop because we were in a hurry and didn't want to wait another week. I expected the quality of the exam to be lower and the cost higher, but I didn't find that to be the case. It's possible we could have gotten the glasses for less if we'd shopped around and gone online, but our experience has been that when you do that, you easily can get glasses that don't look great on you and that are not made or adjusted precisely for your face and eyes. We wanted the glasses to be right for us, knowing that we could order cheap glasses anytime if we wanted afterward. We were scheduled for the very next day, got state of the art eye exams, had all of our questions answered patiently, and got lots of help in picking glasses that would work for us. Rather than enduring intense sales pitches and upselling, we actually were advised on ways to save money and get the most for our money. My son's glasses were ready within an hour, and he loves them. He got a classic style with wire rims and black on top. He also tried on a pair of brown plastic glasses that looked great on him. He got the polycarbonate with some coatings and is thrilled. He also got the insurance against damage because he wears them all the time when he's awake. Because I got the cheapest deal and they were out of that type of lens, they called Monrovia to ask them to hold my chosen frames and the lens material for me. I went over at my first convenience to Monrovia and got my glasses done very much to my satisfaction within an hour. Both Arcadia and Monrovia were in shopping centers, and so it was easy in Arcadia to do some shopping errands and get a snack and in Monrovia to eat a meal. The price for the exams turned out to be similar to the price at the local place, and I really can't see how it could have been better. I didn't get the insurance because the glasses were so inexpensive, but I guess I should have just in case. It's good for a year. I have no idea why this place doesn't have better ratings, but I am very happy when them despite being discriminating. For the super cheap deal ($99 for frames and lens in single vision), there were maybe 16 lens choices for women and four times that many for men. Even though my favorite frames in the store were $300 Prada lenses, and the lenses would have been on top of that, I'm actually really happy with my $99 glasses. They are lightweight, give me crystal clear vision for distance as I wished, and look good. They are a current style--plastic in a dark brown tortoiseshell--and are both professional and hip looking--something that a teenager or an older person would look good in as well as all ages in between. I'm actually very impressed by how the doctor and the other staff took time to answer all our questions and take a personal interest in making sure we got what we needed and wanted. They would even gather in a group around us and give us detailed opinions about frames. We went during a weekday to both of the shops we visited, and while there were other customers the entire time, they were well staffed so that waiting was minimal and the attention was generous. I would think that evenings and weekends would be busier, but I've not been in the shop during those times. I would simply say that they all seemed to care about our satisfaction, even giving little tips to help, beyond what I would expect. read more

This place is great! Every time I walk in they greet me with a smile and a pleasant welcome. I had my eye exam there and was able to get brand new bifocal contacts for an astigmatism that had only come out a month prior. When I went in to get my fitting the power was out in the mall, but they gave me a pair of contacts and two boxes of solution (free of charge) and just told me to try them out and come back for a fitting. A couple weeks later I just stopped in bcuz I was shopping and told them what had happened. They got me right in and I ordered my new contacts. Between taking my insurance and their discounts it was less than 800 contacts!! And GREAT guest service. I highly recommend this place. read more

Do not go to this store. The management is terrible. The managers in the store neglect the customers, all while daydreaming or chit-chatting with each other in a circle, while I'm standing there waiting to be helped. Luckily, an employee was there to assist my endeavors. He was able to make the experience more tolerable with his customer-focused approach. If you ever decide to come to this place as a last resort, look for Warren as he will be able to provide the best experience you can have at LensCrafters. Warren was very knowledgeable about glasses but simplified everything so it was very easy for me to understand, while delivering honest services that surpass my exceptions. I have worn prescription glasses for about 20 years, and I have always had my eyes examined and glasses made at this location of Lencrafters. I hate to be so negative, but I just bought a new pair of glasses, and the way I was handled has lost me as a customer for good. Located in the Santa Anita Mall near the Macy's anchor store there, Lenscrafters maintains a clean and nice looking store. I will say, when you enter the store, the employees are very friendly, and were there to answer my questions. Once you start looking at their frame selection which includes their own brands as well as several designer brands, you will notice that their prices are rather high. If you should decide to shop there, be sure you qualify for one of the discounts such as AAA, AARP, and so on. Those discounts will bring you closer to what everyone else charges, but still expensive. So why am I upset and giving them just one star? Simple, I discovered I was lied to many times in the process, and that lack of integrity is enough for me never to darken their doorstep again. I made a purchase of rimless Ray Ban glasses there on October 8. I was told that since they were rimless, the lenses themselves would have to be a special order that would take 7 to 10 days. I shelled out my credit card which was charged more than $450 (this does not include the eye exam which is paid for separately). The receipt I got indicated an expected delivery date of October 17. On October 19 I called them to get a status on the order, I was told that the glasses were in the mail and would probably arrive later that day or the next, and that they would do some quality control stuff for a day and they would call me. I never heard from them, I called several times in subsequent days and kept getting the same pack of lies. Finally, on October 29 I called and was again given the same line ... I got quite mad and told them I was tired of being lied to ... I was given to a male employee (possibly the lab manager) who told me that his computer told him they were in the mail. I asked if it indicated when they were mailed ... he said "no". I asked if anyone had bothered to call and follow up since I have been given the same line since October 19 for glasses that were expected on October 17. He said that he never thought of doing that (DUH!!!) and he would call the lab and then call me back. Of course, I never heard back from him, so the next day I called again ... I got the store manager on the line, told her I was pissed and I don't like being lied to ... she insisted they don't lie to customers ... I gave her the details of my purchase, and she really could not give much of a retort. So, I asked, what is the status today ... She said the computer indicates that they were put in the mail on October 30 (which was that very day). I pointed out to her that is what the computer said yesterday, but it did not have a date, and I was promised a call back, but that did not happen (another lie). I asked her to call the lab and find out what is going on ... she indicated that the lab is not open on Saturday or Sunday and since it was Saturday she would not be able to get hold of them ... so I asked her if they are closed on Saturday, how is it they put the glasses in the mail today? After a pointed silence from her, she finally said "I really cannot give you an answer for that". I simply replied "and yet, another lie". Monday, November 1 I got a call from Lenscrafters telling me my glasses were ready for pick up. I went by, walked in, was treated very nicely by the employees, got my glasses and walked out knowing I would never go back there again. This has to be one of the most negative reviews I have ever given a company ... all I can say is GO ELSEWHERE!!! read more

Amazing experience with this LenCrafters location! Made an eye appt., running late so rescheduled for later at 3pm- came in late to that one and was still greeted with friendly staff that got me in right away. (I understand during bust times you may have to wait- honestly this is the first time I haven't had to wait at any eye exam office). My technician was Courtney, she helped me with getting a discount on the eye exam by using a AAA or AARP no. (bring someone else's if you don't have one, they are cool like that). Then she took me through all of the pre-doctor exam eye tests in an unhurried, yet efficient manner, explained what all of the tests were for, was pleasant with instructions. I noticed they have newer technology machines since my last eye exam elsewhere. It was an all around nice experience. I then was able to meet with Optometrist Jennifer Huang, whom was also super friendly and informative and made sure to ask all of the right questions to be able to write the perfect prescription for my needs. She went over my inner eye photos and was very informative. Another great experience. Courtney was then ready to take me through finding the right eyeglass frames. I said stay at the low end, I'm on a budget. She was so helpful! I'm rather a specialty case in that I need progressive lens that are for reading at the bottom, many hours of computer work in the middle and distance on top. She knew I needed a certain depth lens so I could have the sight I needed. She was so helpful here as we picked them out and tried them on, being very honest in her thoughts of how they looked. When we hit the perfect pair I could she her face light up and say yes! These look great on you! They met all of my needs for a frameless bottom and sturdy, yet lightweight frame. They had a lot more of these types to choose from than I had encountered before at other stores. When it came to marking the lens to show where each part of the perception should be cut, I was impressed with the new machine that took a picture of my eyes wearing the glasses (that she had clipped a measurement frame tool onto) so they would come out perfect! Before the technician would use a marking pen and write little red line where they thought the reading strength should switch to the computer screen strength and then to the distance strength. This is so much better because my glasses came out PERFECT! First time no adjustment to the nose pieces to get it right or having to move my head up and down to get the right area to see what I was looking at. Exactly right- I'm sure this machine had something to do with it. My last glasses a year and a half ago and they did not have this technology. During the hour they needed to create them, I went and ate at the mall food court. Very convenient being here as there is lots to do while they make them! I was also impressed they did not have to send them out to get the antiglare coat put on- they have a machine that does it right there! Before it would take a few days to send them out for this. It's an added feature, but I love how I get no sun or light glare and people can see my eyes like there is no glass on them. Important for business meetings. Glasses were done by the time I came back within an hour and like I said before- perfect from the moment I put them on. First time that has happened. Cost: I got a 40% off lens discount, and with my lens being the more expensive type this is a good deal for me (they had 50% off earlier this year but I missed it!)Somewhat higher than the last 2 places I went, but well worth it as the quality far surpasses them. I also choose a $169. frame- I saw them as low as $89. online (which has a great tool for choosing style). There are other styles at the store the online app didn't show me. Their glasses last so much longer and I'll explain how I know. First experience with LensCrafters was over 9 years ago and I still have those glasses! The lens are in good shape, a few scratches from me, but protective coat intact. After that I got a pair at Costco, wanting to save money, but after a year the anit-glare coating was very badly mottled, and not fixable. Cloudy to see out of, and tacky looking. No warranty for this. Next I went to Linden Optometry. Nice people but felt like it was a factory ushering people in and out- very crowded. When buying the lens there were too many choices as to quality. I was on a tight budget so went with $99. frames and then was told the antiglare coating came in 3 grades, the best one was out of my price range, so I did not get it. When I got the glasses I was very disappointed that I had to tilt my head far up to get to be able to read. I was told since the lenses were not as deep as my last pair the area was smaller. NIce to know this before picking frames. They were uncomfortable to wear and always tilting my head around to see right. And no 30 day satisfaction warranty like LenCrafters! I'll never go to another eyeglass store!! read more

My experience at Lens Crafters was a complete disaster. I paid the bill-in full/ However, there was some type of a minor problem with the payment. So, instead of making a quick courtesy phone call to me so that this minor problem could be immediately resolved, they decided to turn me over to the Bill Collectors. That was NOT a nice or pleasant experience. However, after I provided a sufficient amount of documentation, they did believe me that the bill had been paid in full. So that problem went away. There was no reason for their management to handle the situation this away. Obviously, their management was very unprofessional. Also, their prices were extremely high. Hence, my family will NEVER GO BACK TO LENS CRAFTERS as they are very unprofessional. read more

Realy disappointed, my husband who has been wearing glasses for over 30 years and completely depends on them has been going to this lens crafters for the past 3 sets of glasses; thats new pairs every 2 years; has always had good experances at this location untill this year...... I needed glasses for the first time in my life so I went with him expecting a steller service too. My objective was glasses that had a light magnification in a bifocal for reading and clear in the top for distance, the optometrist talked me into "transitions" and corrected for a slight astigmatism in the left eye. First of all when we went in for our exams I knoticed a shabbier looking shop, many empty display cases, worn out carpet, and employees that, in the past, always looked sharp and professional also looked a little more run-down and shabby. The eye exam was typical and fine. Heres my big problem, its the small attention to customer service I throw down 400+$ for my glasses (reading glasses) my husband spent over 1500$ for 2 pairs and when we came in today to pick them up; they could have hardly been bothered with us. The few employees were busy with others, when I said we were there to pick up glasses, I was told ok just a minute, and then my glasses were just thrown on the table in front of me, and my husband got the same treatment. This is my very first time ever recieving glasses, no one checked with me if I even had the right ones!! They just left me hanging, I didn't know what to do. Finally after commenting to my husband that I was not happy with them, he had to flag down someone who very tersly dealt with me and was truly no help. This is why I am upset, everyone just expected us to just walk out, no one was willing to fit our new spects or answer any questions or concerns. They were not courteous or helpful. we didn't even recieve a bag or cleaning wipes... NADA!!! All I was told was well try them for a week and if your not happy bring them back. Extremely disappointing! I made an appointment for 1pm. I arrived a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. The employee being the counter said it would be a few minutes. I filed out the paperwork and waited. I asked her what my insurance was going to cover. She gave me a price for the exam and said she would find out about the lenses and frame and let me know after I see the doctor....red flag! She ushers me through a few machines taking pictures of my eyes. Then asks me to wait for the doctor. I waited another 20 minutes. The doctor was the ONLY good part of this visit and the only reason I have them 2 stars. She was great. Very friendly and informative. She answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed. After meeting with the doctor I was given a sales associate to help me pick out my new frames. I didn't like any of their frames and they still had not told me what my insurance was going to cover as far as frames and lenses were concerned. I told the associated that I didn't want any frames; only new lenses. She was not pleased. The associate who was supposed to find out what my insurance would cover disappeared...so I asked the new one. She typed in a few things then started taking measurements for the lenses. No answer. Finally 20 minutes later she says okay it's $104. I'm thinking that's not bad for new lenses and the exam. So I pay and go one my merry way for an hour. An hour later I return to pick up my glasses and she stops helping another customer, waves her hand in my face to get my attention...I was 2 feet away in a small sales area. "I forgot to charge you for your exam". EXCUSE ME!!! I was pissed. Had I known that I would not have gotten new lenses! She didn't apologize. She looked happy to piss me off. This place is unprofessional and a major rip off! I will NOT go back. They're customer service was the wrong kind of amazing. read more

I got my last pair of glasses here about 8 or 9 years ago. Recently, I had been thinking about trying contacts, which are new to me. Since my last experience was good, I decided to come back, and I'm glad I did. As my last eye exam was so long ago, I knew I would need to go through the whole process. I was expecting to have to get my eyes dilated, and was pleased to find out that this is no longer necessary. All of the tests were relatively comfortable and easy to sit through. Dr. Nghe was amazing. She was very thorough in discussing what she saw in the scans, and was very helpful in making a decision. I didn't even freak out when she touched my eyeball, which sounds like it would be terrible, but really was fine. She made the perfect first choice on lens brand. I honestly couldn't even feel the lens when she put it in. 10/10 would let her poke my eyeball again. If you're a first time contacts user, they have you go through a training before they send you off with your trial sets of lenses. You'll need to demonstrate that you can successfully get the things in and out of your eyes a couple of times. This part was a little frustrating, but because I was a bit awful at it. The staff was very patient, and after 20 minutes or so I started to get the hang of it. Of course, my insurance doesn't cover any of this. I was expecting to end up paying a lot more, and quite surprised when the charges for the exam and contact fitting came out to less than $160. read more

My colored contacts that I ordered were the wrong color. I totally take fault that I eagerly opened the box to wear a pair, but was shocked when they were on. Asked to at least exchange the rest and they refused. Instead, asked me (I kid you not) "well, what do your friends think?" I'm LIVID. Where do I even start? So, I usually go to the same ol eye doctor and that's because I've been going to the same ol eye doctor since I was 7/8 - and I've just never been anywhere else so I'm comfortable going there.... or, well, until I came to LensCrafters. Unfortunately my optometrist building burned down... (yes. It literally BURNT down due to a restaurant next door lol). sometime last year and so I've been past due on my yearly checkup. I've been going back and fourth with the receptionist at my usual optometrist office and finally I was so sick and tired of waiting so I decided to give LensCrafters a shot. I cannot even explain in words how happy, excited, thankful and just simply so relieved that the process went so well. Of course I was nervous to have an exam with a new doctor and meet new people - but oh my gosh it was such an awesome experience. Not only that but I literally called 15 minutes before they were able to get me in and the whole process took maybe an hour or so. That's not even the best part. Okay so. I have REALLY good insurance and for some reason at my old eye doctor I felt like I never did. I was able to get really nice designer glasses and only had to pay $130. I know, I know. You are probably thinking.... "$130? That's a lot?" But for me, it's not. For the past 18 years that I have been a patient/customer at my previous eye doctor I have NEVER paid just $130 for name brand glasses. I've always paid 250-300 sometimes more on glasses! Now that I've experienced my "really good insurance" I just cannot thank LensCrafters and the extremely nice ladies working in the front ENOUGH. I am so happy to feel comfortable at my new place and continue my business with new glasses and eye exams here. I will tell my whole family, (who go to the old eye doctor I was talking about) to come here instead. All of the bad reviews make no sense... this place deserves 10 stars. A+ customer service. I purchased glasses from Lens Crafters about 10 years ago. They were perfect. Sun glasses and regular glasses. Two years ago I purchased two sets of glasses and so did my husband. What a big mistake....The UV glasses started peeling off on both of our glasses. My husband saw auras around everyone...I told the store manager about the kind of junkie glasses they sold. We had someone that worked there 20 years do the work on the glasses. She said the UV glasses do peel...What are they using? The inferior product they are using is terrible. She admitted that they do peel. Why would a store sell such junk to their patients? They are the Westfield mall and cant wait to catch unaware customer to make money...Never, Never again. You gotta be kidding that some people are satisfied with this place. If you pay in full for some glasses shouldn't you expect to receive them within a reasonable time frame? How about 19days and counting. This place does not care about what happens to you after you pay for your glasses. All I here is excuses, not only excuses, they can't even tell you the same explanation. It's always something different. If you don't mind waiting for about a month to get your glasses then by all means this is your place. Totally unacceptable, I wish I can really tell you how I feel about this place but I don't have all day to waste. read more
