Family-owned business. I came in looking for a pair of frames. I was the only customer in the store from the time I walked in to the time I left. At first, they didn't want to assist me because I haven't had my eye exam but I told them it was scheduled in an hour at the optometrist next door and I just wanted to take a look at frames first since I had a busy day ahead of me. The husband owner, I'm assuming, said ok ok.. go take a look and had a girl assist me. First, I pulled up a photo of a pair of sunglasses and asked if they carry it and the owner walks over and says, "You look for yourself. If you don't see it, we don't have it." Wtf??? Uhmm ok. Then, I pulled out an old pair of frames and let her know that these frames have been discontinued many years ago, I'm just looking for something similar to it. So she goes and pull a few pairs for me to try on. At this point, the owner is watching me like a hawk and eventually says to me, in a rude manner, "You are not going to find the same pair." I'm thinking.. no sh*t, it's discontinued. So I just replied back, "I know that. I am just looking for something similar. You are extremely rude!". Not sure if he understood what that meant because he didn't say anything and after about a minute, he walked away (probably to go Google the meaning). Lololol... I didn't really find anything I liked. There was one pair that was decent, but after dealing with the owner's rude behavior, I decided to get my eye exam next door and go elsewhere for frames. There's no such thing as good customer service here. The male worker who I presume is the owner made a loud negative comment upon looking at my eye prescription. It was completely unprofessional. He made rude remarks while we were trying to look at frames. He was no help at all! Perhaps it was near closing time and he wanted to rush us out. But he could've just kindly reminded us that they'll be closing in so and so minutes and we would've left. Or maybe they had enough buyers during the day, they don't care about the last customer. I feel sad to even write this review, I wanted to be supportive and continue my business here since I've been going as a child, but the service has gone downhill ever since they hired these incompetent workers to assist. Worst of all, they incorrectly processed the wrong frame for my prescriptive lens and had the audacity to blame me for their wrongdoing. The moment I paid for the chosen frames, they literally put it in that plastic tray to process in front of my eyes along with my husband there. I don't even know what went wrong after we left. They said the business owner would be out for a month to resolve this issue in person and I was willing to wait, but their internal resolution from their side is that they wanted me to pay again to put the lens in the correct frame I picked in the first place. The nerve to even tell me that... so save your time and spend your money elsewhere. This place is only surviving based off Rosemead Eye Clinic patient referrals from next door. I've been to a few opticians in my lifetime and this place rocks. I went yesterday to get my annual pair of eyeglasses and didn't want to spend much. They had a pretty large selection of frames that were covered by VSP and there were a couple that I liked but being the fashionista (yeah, right) that I am, I decided to look at the designer frames and picked out a retro pair fresh from the movie "falling down". They have a huge selection from different designers. The framss were pricey and the gave me a discount. Even better, they had the glasses made within 30 minutes. I was in and out of there in about 45 minutes. I'm not sure if this happens all the time or if it was my charming personality or maybe they weren't that busy. If I give 0 stars this would be it. My whole family and I have come here to get our glasses done for many years now. I've recommended my family and friends to come here. My mother has bought 2-3 pairs of sunglasses. I wanted to get my PD(pupillary distance) measurements. They straight up said no. If I don't currently have prescription with them then they won't help me. They asked for my information, so I asked why they needed my info when they can just measure it in 2 sec. They said so that they can pull up my record and tell me. When they found out that i didnt have an active prescription with them they lied and said they didn't have my record. Even though i heard them say in another language that they have it but it was old. Then they proceed to lie to me about how they threw away the record already. BS. So much for customer service. They told me to go back to where I got my prescription done to get my measurements. My mother has brought in a pair of glasses for adjustments and they refused to help her because she didn't buy it there and they didn't want to be liable if it broke even after she told them that she would take responsible if it did break. Don't come here unless you want to be treated like shit. All they see is money. No money no honey. Absolutely horrible customer service. read more

This place is located in a small plaza on Valley, close to San Gabriel blvd. I went here recently to get a few pairs of glasses, after a friend recommended this place; and all I can say is that I had such a great experience. It's really hard to find mom and pop shops that actually have great prices AND great customer service. But this place has both! The owner Kim, was super friendly throughout the whole process. From checking and ordering the exact pair of glasses that I needed, to even calling me and helping me modify an order when it was out of stock. She even gave me a couple of free lens cleaner solutions, and offered to adjust my glasses for free; anytime I am in the area. You guys rock! read more

They have a variety of frames and lenses to choose from based on your needs. They are patient, they will let you try on all the different frames of your liking and will make suggestions based on the shape and size of your face to ensure the best look. A few great things about this place: Tofu shop next door, for a snack while you wait for your glasses (only if they have material in stock), optometrist next to them which has a good staff and great doctors. HORRIBLE SERVICE! My family and I walk in and are not attended to, which is okay because the employees there were helping other customers. After a couple of minutes the old man yelled, "Do you have a prescription?" We said no because we were just looking for glasses at this time. After saying this it was like he no longer wanted to help us. We asked to look at some glasses but again was given the same question of if we had a prescription yet. Finally, after some convincing he allowed us to try on one pair of glasses. My dad asked if he could take a picture so that we could see how it looked and for opinions from relatives.
