I'm rating Lens Crafters on experience and not prices. My experience was great. Good customer service and I got to get glasses writhing an hour. Price-wise... So, I should have gotten the hint when I watched the associates telling an old lady ahead of me that it was "impossible" to do her glasses the way she's always had them. (Read: it's not impossible to do it that way, they just wanted to charge the poor woman for multifocal lenses) Of course, I didn't get the hint, and here's what happened: I got my eyes examined by the doctor who was friendly enough, if incompetent. I told him more than once that I couldn't see up close, and that I've been in bifocals since I was a child. He did the little reading part of the exam where they figure out what strength bifocal you need. I told him I couldn't read the line he wanted me to read, but he decided that I should be able to read it, and got frustrated when I literally couldn't even venture a guess as to what letters the grey blur contained. He then wrote my prescription, without a prescription for a bifocal, and sent me out to the retail side. So, I've got the frames picked out, and i pull out the prescription they'd given me and notice that there isn't a prescription for my bifocal on it. I tell the girl that this isn't going to work, and she says she'll have to look in my chart to see if my old prescription had a bifocal. I tell her that this is the first time i had been to this place, there is no old prescription in my chart. (First time) She ignores me and walks away to the desk. I can hear her saying to her coworker that she's looking for my old prescription. She can't find it, BECAUSE I HAD NEVER BEEN THERE. I say this. (Second time) I am ignored. So, eventually, the coworker comes over. She asks when I had last been seen at this location. I repeat that I have never been there before, and I must have been a bit testy since she backed away saying okay, okay, okay like I had just kicked her dog. So, original girl comes back. She says that I will need a whole new eye exam to get a bifocal prescription, and I could follow her back to see the doctor. But, you see, my eyes were already dilated. How am I supposed to get an accurate prescription with dilated eyes. I'm not. All this hassle took about half an hour, and never once did any of these girls go to the back to ask the doctor if he could add the prescription, or if maybe he forgot it. TLDR: I went here because my insurance covered it, I left without ordering anything, I'm going to have to pay out of pocket to see a competent optometrist, and I thoroughly advise against going here. read more

Was very pleased to b able to purchase an affordable pair of glasses today! My sales associate who assisted me, Miguel, was very efficient knowledgeable and courteous! I was in and out the door less than 45 minutes! The store was clean, employees greeted me upon entrance! Originally went in for adjustment on my glasses but I was so impressed that I lwalked out in less than an hour with a paid receipt for an affordable new pair of stylishq me glasses! Unfortunately I overlooked the ratings and went to LensCrafters. I went in for an eye exam for contacts and glasses, the doctor gave me a very lame and short exam and concluded that she would not give me a contact exam because my eyes are really dry and in bad condition (which was a lie, I had to pay another place to get my contacts, which means I had to spend double the time and the money thanks to LensCrafters!) Also, the doctor said I couldn't wear contacts for two weeks so I started seeing what they had on the floor for purchase that could be made within a few hours. With all of their fake deals and discounts they gave me a $300 quote and the frames were not even designer. I just felt there was a-lot of marketing and sales going on, but I was not being taken care of. read more

My beginning journey for a pair of glasses started with a discount retailer where I had been mis-prescribed corrective lenses. I had constant headaches and my vision was still blurry. After a week, I decided to get a second opinion at the Lens Crafters on Ming. I was greeted immediately by a friendly and professional staff. Their selection, knowledge and customer service was amazing. The store manager spent a great deal of time with me to ensure that I got the frames that were just right for me. She did awesome in showing me all of my options and her personal suggestions while not being pushy. Finally got a great pair of glasses and the difference in my vision is significantly better. I want to sadly advice anyone my experience here at LensCrafters for whoever wanted to buy glasses there. I bought one of the expensive pair of glasses and I had an accident while wearing them glasses because the were not helping me drive at night because of the light reflecting that was affecting me and I went back to the place and I wanted to see if they could fix the issue and they came up with the worst type of excuse saying I had passed the 30 day warranty. They never explained to me that I had 30 days and I bought an extra warranty and they didn't even try to fix the problem. But that is not all the attitude of the staff there was horrible this is my first time buying glasses there the cheapest glasses at Stanton are way better than the ones at LensCrafters. This was my first and last time spending money and time with this company and their customer service!!!!! I guess I will go to Stanton again they have two pairs for less than $300 and they are way better. read more

They are always greeting everyone that comes in, even tho I have read a lot of haterz say on here that no one greets them which are lies, I come to this lens crafters to get all my families glasses and let me just say the lab technician Jessica is amazing she's always with a smile on her face and answers any questions or concerns you may have with your glasses. I called this location to see if I was able to come in and get my son some glasses, they told me to go online and place my order, I ordered 2 pairs with my insurance, I called them back to make sure I did it correctly and they said as long as I had my prescription everything would be fine, they never told me it had to be a certain perimeter for the frame size, I've been waiting for my sons glasses to arrive, I called today and my order was cancelled due to the prescription not fitting. I ordered them when I still had insurance and due to this pandemic I lost my job and insurance, so because I listened to the workers at lens crafters, I now I have no glasses for my son. They have a large selection of eyeglasses. Problem is they are way more expensive than places like Walmart, Target, and Costco. That's why I do not buy my eyeglasses here anymore. The quality is just as good at the other places which are lower priced. read more

Worst eye doctor experience ever! Go somewhere else! The customer service girl didn't want to deal with my questions about pricing, it took them 2 times to get my glasses prescription somewhere near right and 3 times for my contacts. I see better out of my contacts than glasses now, but I'm tired of going back in. When they called to talk to me the cashier put me on hold so she could discuss her lunch order. It took a month to get my contact lens order in because they lost the delivery and couldn't be bothered to look for it. Finally had to call up and complain to the manager before someone went looking and found my order in the back of a box. Oh ya and they're overpriced. It costs a lot of money for horrible service. Just went into their store to see what they had to offer I'm in need of an eye exam and new glasses. When I walked in there were THREE girls working there, and ONE customer. None of the three said a word to me; not even a "hello welcome to lenscrafters," nothing. So I just took a quick look at their overpriced frames, and a picture of their lens options and walked out. Not one word from the employees from being to end. In the end doesn't really matter since I just wanted to have a comparison when going to Costco. Also, their advertisements are something of a scam. They say two pair for blah, blah. But when you get down to it, those are for the biggest ugliest frames they have. If you want something that doesn't look like you got them from Shamoo at sea world, then you'll end up paying several hundred dollars. Long story short. I'd advise against going there unless you've looked around already, and don't have any other choices. Unless, that is, you like overpaying for stuff and receiving bad service in exchange. read more

My son broke his glasses at school Friday and our regular eye doctor was closed Saturday. We headed over to see if they were repairable. William greeted us and I let him know what we were looking for... he looked over the glasses and said "They really can't be repaired, but let me see if I can do anything to at least get you through the weekend." We waited a few mins... and here comes William with the repaired glasses! He said it might get him through the weekend, but I should go to our regular eye dr Monday. He was so awesome! The worst experience I ordered my contacts paid for a whole year I only received half a year when I called to ask what was going on manager Aaron told she would give you a call right bsck. A week when by nothing from her two weeks passed by still nothing from her a month later she gives me a call and try to tell me I did not pay for my contacts which is the lie I have receipt on my credit card after telling her I was not going to pay for them again she was very very rude and her niceness completely went away I will never go back to this place nor my kids I do not recommend this place at all and I think she should have done more then just give me my other contacts she was the worst service ever read more

Fast service and conveniently open on weekends. The reason why I am scoring 3 stars is because they gave me a follow up appointment for contact lens check for a Sunday at 9:00am and got there and they don't open until 10:00am on Sundays. I was very upset but unfortunately I had left my appointment card at home. They kept telling me my appointment was at 10:00am but my card said 9:00am. I'm really glad my insurance recommended this place. The staff was incredibly polite and informative. Dr. Jennifer Troung answered all of my questions and concerns and made sure to explain the change from my last exam. It's a super clean place and it offers discounts on top of what your insurance doesn't cover. They print out a page of all of your benefits. The selection of glasses is wide, too so you may be browsing a while unless you have a staff person to help! One of them helped me get a pair that perfectly suits my face and explained all the costs of getting extra features on my specs. I would definitely come back! read more

First visit here. Moved from out of state and needed an annual exam. My previous eye doctor & staff was awesome! Very attentive and went out of their way to make sure everything was right. I went here for exam. 2nd appointment of the day and I sat in the exam room for 30 minutes waiting on doctor. Not a good start. Went to pick out glasses and was very surprised that no one came to assist me. Sad customer service. Basically you pick out frames and stand in line for the next available clerk. I had also looked online at frames and knew which ones I wanted to look at. They had one only 1 of 6 in their store. I was told this was all they had. Very disappointed in the small selection for a thick lens. I spent 2 hours in there. I was told glasses will be ready in 7-10 days. I pray that the glasses are okay. I doubt that I will go back for my exam next year. UPDATE 8-4-2016 Went to pick up the 2 pair of glasses mentioned above on 7-19-2016. Fit was perfect, but they were not progressives (bifocals). Couldn't see clear at all. Eye doctor did not write on Rx that I needed bifocals. Staff wanted me to schedule another appt to get rechecked. Luckily, I was able to get in the next day. Next day I arrived with my prescription from last eye doctor. Told staff that my eyes had not changed in 1 year. Eye doctor okayed the prescription. BTW - they couldn't even find my chart. So, no eye exam. Was told it would be another 7-10 business days. I get a text on 7-26 that one pair of glasses are in. Never did hear about the 2nd pair. Called them 2 times with no answers. I found out yesterday that the (offsite) lab just told Lenscrafters that my bifocal lenses would not fit in the frames. Needless to say, I went in and picked up the new glasses and asked for a refund on the 2nd pair. They did oblige. As for the eyeglasses, they are okay. Not something I will wear on a daily basis as the lens shape distorts the view. This is something the staff should have known or advised. Anyway, not worth arguing with them again. Will use them as a backup pair. read more

Customer service is only there to up-sale and have customers make out-of-pocket expenses with along with their insurance. The doctors are always in a hurry to get to the next patient and you won't feel that your time as a patience is of any value. This year is my last time to ever visit a Lens Crafters due to the ongoing very poor customer service. For example, last year after my yearly exam I had to return to the store on three different occasions in order for them to correct my lenses to the prescription that the doctor had prescribed. This year, I visited them on 11/23/2020 for my annual examination and brought in a pair of my previous frames so that my new prescription could be used with the frames since I already have four pair. Well, I could sense the frustration from the employees since I wasn't purchasing new frames. I was also interrogated about where did I get the frames, which was there product, and repeatedly questioned about the date. They surely already knew the date of my last purchase, but she was trying to intimidate me into just purchasing new frames, until I asked her was there an issue with just adding the new prescription to the frames. Her answer was no. Then why would she create animosity? So, I was told that the new prescription would be ready in approximately two weeks. Today is 12/07/2020 and I called Lens Crafters to inquire about my glasses and was told that someone should have sent me a text on 11/23/2020 to let me know that the new prescription was ready for pick-up. No one ever contacted me and these are the types of issues that I've had with Lens Crafters for years, but this is my last year. I won't ever be returning to Lens Crafters. read more

Called to ask for more details regarding the Eyexam of California membership. From what I read it covers a discounted eye exam plus discounts. I wanted to know WHAT discounts, and confirmation that it will cover what I need BEFORE I purchase the $75 membership to see if I save any money. The sales associate replies" Yeah, what about it?" I asked to explain it. Explain means go into depth, what does it cover, what do I get discounts on, etc. She says she doesn't know just print out the coupon and bring it in, THEN they will be able to tell me if it applies. Why on earth would I pay for a membership if it may or may not save me any money? I asked for confirmation before I purchased, otherwise why would I need it? So unknowledgeable and terrible customer service. Customers are key to your business, keep your unknowledgeable associates who can't answer any questions about a service YOU offer and your sales will go down. I tried to return my wife's glasses yesterday to store #0160. The lady Tomica behind the counter was condescending when she said it had been longer than 30 days. It has not. The eye exam was on 9/6 it says right on the receipt that the glasses would not be ready till 9/16. They still were not ready till 9/21 but I could not pick up till 9/27. 9/27/2014 was day of pickup my wife immediately complained about headaches but they talked us into trying them for a month. The glasses give my wife a horrible headache so we tried to return them yesterday only to have Tomica laugh in our face. Now I not only want to return the glasses I want to be compensated for my time and gas. Store # 0160 is a 142 mile round trip for me. Plus I make 35 dollars an hour so $100 for gas $100 for my time. Plus the purchase price of the glasses and the protection plan. You have lost a good $2000.00 a year customer. Went to the store today to get some new lenses put in my daughters sports frames. In short the type of frames that we have can't fit the prescription we have which is fine and I understand. The clerk however did not offer to even look and see if there were similar frames she promptly said no there isn't anything at all when we know for a fact there are or were other options. Then while making dumb suggestions on what we can do she goes and questions why were were so dismissive of what she was suggesting. We tried to explain that what she was suggesting would not work as our daughter wears a safety mask when she plays softball. Her first question was well is she a catcher? We said no she plays infield and she wears a safety mask. Well I played softball and I don't ever remember having to wear a mask on the field. I simply walked away and left my wife to deal with her. Oh yeah I need to add that her tone was rude and unacceptable. It's a shame too because we were willing to spend quite a bit of money in their store. Yep never again read more

Slowest ever if ordering your frames. Been 2 weeks since I ordered my glasses and I have yet to hear from them. Longest any shipping would take is 7 days, this is ridiculous. Next time I'll be using Costco, only reason I even used LC is because Costco didn't carry the frame I wanted. Better lens for less money at Costco anyways. read more

Visited on January 29,2017. Was there looking at frames for a solid 25 minutes while employees stood around talking with themselves. Couldn't get anyone to acknowledge our presence. The store was dirty. Wound up at Sears Optical and got great service. Gave them another shot the following week with my son and they said they couldn't put new lenses in the frames he already purchased from there a couple of years prior. They were not pleasant to deal with. Again went to Sears and they were able to put new lenses in the frames. read more

Not enough male frames to choose from..Ihad to wait an hour to start my exam when I had an appointment..Now they charge and additional fee for looking at your retina photo to check for irregularities, before it was included a year prior,which I wasnt told till I was at the register..Then they all started pointing fingers behind the counter asking which consoltant I had..I will never return to this location..let alone an Lenscrafters. read more

The best optical experience. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for a long time and have been to many different places but I'm very content with the service here. on arrival i was immediately welcome and greeted, The eye exam and contact lens fitting was excellent and thorough. The associates helped me find my eyewear needs based on the prescription and my past history with lenses. they offer you a few choices based on that and of course the lifestyle you carry, which i love that they go into detail this way to find the best lenses for you personally. The prices were very transparent and they also tell you what is available in house if you want your glasses the same day. As a medical student I really wanted the Blue Blocker glasses and i didn't mind waiting to have them because I know how harmful blue light is. I had the glasses in a week as promised and the contacts arrive at my door in 3-5 days as well. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews, the quality of what your paying for is incredible and the service and atmosphere is always great. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. read more

The first time here was in Oct. of 2014. I've never been to an optometrist before so I was lost there was a pregnant lady she was no help at all I didn't even know what I was supposed to look for she just said pick a frame and let me know when you finish, they all just stand around there and don't want assist their customers. I was overwhelmed with all the frames there I didn't know exactly what I was supposed to look for. I finally just choose a frame she gave me the display and a cheap glasses case. I choose Michael Kors glasses I'd assume for the price and brand is at least get a cloth to wipe the glasses. My husband went back and he talked to theme turns out the lady that helped me gave me the wrong case they switched true case and gave me a cloth for the glasses. The second time around I was hesitant to come because of my first experience but they accepted my son's insurance so I thought I'd give them another try. I set the appointment but there was an issue with the vision insurance that I if to reschedule the appt for a wed. I show up to my appt and they tell me that it was never made!! I was so sure I had the right time and date and location because I wrote it down while I was making the appt and I if the paper with me and I showed it to the lady. They weren't even apologetic they asked me to wait to see if their appt showed up I waited they said nothing so I just left. Never ever again will I ever go to this location they are the worst!! The worst customer service!!! I literally sat in my car and wrote this because I wanted to make sure everyone looking for an optometrist or looking for a place to get glasses go somewhere else even the eye mart down the street from this horrible place!!! read more
