I have only been here two or three times, but the help and service have been FANTASTIC! I came in months ago with my mom's glasses missing one side arm. They found a replacement in their inventory and fixed it for free! I currently have an issue with some prescription eyeglasses done elsewhere and came in for advice. Matt took time to explain and show me the problem and give me his recommendation. I have yet to be charged for any of their help or service. read more

Had a pair of glasses break right at the bridge point. Other places either did not carry the brand or did not have a replacement in stock due to the frame being over 2 years old. Extremely helpful & friendly! I went in for the first time looking to see if there was any way to save my glasses I had just broken that morning. I thought my glasses were broken beyond repair but decided to take them in anyway. Matt greeted me and after taking a look at my glasses, he decided to try to see if there was a way to salvage my glasses. Matt worked his magic ! In less than 45 minutes, I was walking out with my glasses on my face again! Matt was very welcoming and did a fantastic job. And did I mention repairs are $20?! 10/10 recommend. I initially went to Bakersfield Optical to have my son's glasses repaired. It's been about two months and the cauterizing is in great shape. He had stepped on his new metal frames while running around. The service was done the next day, cost us only $20.00 and it is cash only for repair work. Currently I am in the process of selecting new frames. Sharon, the owner, told me to take home as many frames as I liked to try on and take home over the weekend. That is a first for me and is making the decision easier. Many dispensers of eye wear are eager to sell, sell, sell and keep you in store. I have silhouette glasses which are really spindly. Every year I break one stem or another. Expensive to have fixed. Have had to leave my glasses for two weeks for repair. Broke them again last week. Went into Bakersfield Optical to see what they could do. They don't sell these type of glasses, however they did have a spare part. Fixed my glasses for $20 and took 30 seconds. Such a relief. They have gone above and beyond to find me the frames that fit well, are comfortable, and attractive. They have remade lenses when needed, adjusted my frames, and done minor repairs...all at no charge. I have used them for years, and several family members do so, now, as well. read more

The owner Sharon is so rude. I work for Frito lay and informed her that I was interested in Polarized shades for my job and she would continuously cut me off stating that she couldn't help me at all until I spoke with a site safety person if I were to use a voucher from work to pay for them. So I offered to pay cash, she still cut me off in the middle of my sentences when I inquired regarding paying for it in cash. I didn't see her being any help so I just took her name and called the Frito Lay PepsiCo HR department and informed them of the rude service I had received from this terrible owner.
