Came to see the eye doctor for an annual exam. First time coming to LensCrafters it was suggested by a friend to try them. Glad I did. Made an appointment and was able to be seen on the day and time I needed. Exam was very comprehensive but did not take that long. The eye doctor examined my eyes and said my glasses only needed a few minor adjustments to the prescription and that with these adjustments I should be seeing a lot better. I was also able to get new frames and they will also replace the lenses in my prescription sunglasses and was mostly covered by my insurance. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

The staff always helps me maximize my eyewear benefits as well as any promotions they have in store. They are super helpful and always available to give you an honest opinion. One star for the two customer service representatives who picked up the slack. Please note this was my experience only.. I needed a very last-minute eye exam. Of course, this was the only place in town with tons of openings. I guess it should have been a red flag that there was a reason for the open availability. I walked in extra early and an associate was checking me in. She asked me my name and then sent me a link to fill out paperwork on my phone. As I was filling it out, I noticed that I needed the member number for my insurance and I told her I didn't have it. So she's at the computer - never even looks up. I'm there for a few minutes and she literally walks away. Doesn't say anything to me... doesn't acknowledge me... doesn't say whether she found my information in the system or not. Just got done and walked off. So I'm standing there and I ask her colleague... "so no one is going to help me?" And the guy comes over to the computer and says that they couldn't find my insurance information. I guess "Lindsay" couldn't find the words in her word bank to let me know that she couldn't find my insurance information and out of embarrassment she just walked away? If she had bothered to use her words and asked questions, we would have resolved the fact that she couldn't find my insurance. Anyway, if you like to spend your money where they treat you like trash this is the place for you. If you expect some level of courtesy, then don't waste your time going here. Don't give them (Luxxottica)) your data... because after I walked out I swear I get an email every day to reschedule and after trying for over an hour to delete my data, their website never loads. I highly recommend Premiere Eye Care way on the other side of town. And remember folks -- put your money in businesses that respect customers. read more

I have had several issues with LensCrafters but now I feel compelled to try and help others. I went in in January 2021 and immediately the manager came up and spoke dismissively to me. I got to feel that she didn't think I could afford her glasses or I was there to steal a pair of frames. She was very rude and condescending. Thinking that this was her nature, I requested someone to help me purchase a pair of glasses. Of course the manager watched me interact the entire visit. The young lady that helped me was terrific. I tried on several pair and the manager came and directed me to the cheaper glasses located in front. I said no thank you I'm interested in the designer frames. I was told several times that my prescription from the veterans optometrist could be used but they could not guarantee that it was appropriate prescription. I needed to see their optometrist to be guaranteed correct lenses. I disagreed and continued with my purchase. I was measured for the glasses and by the time I walked out of there I had laid down $746. I wanted lenses made of glass not plastic. I was told that Polycarbonate plastic is much more efficient. Believing that LensCrafters only had high quality glasses I agreed. I chose the progressive lenses, transition lenses, anti reflective lenses and the lens coating protection from scratches. I made certain there was a warranty. I took very good care of them placing them in their case when not in use. Not once did I use paper or tissue to clean them. Within six months scratches appeared. I was even more careful with them. Finally it was difficult to see through them so I went in for my replacement glasses. I was charged well over $100. When they called me and told me the glasses were ready. I called and made an appt for contacts. I was very pleased with the optometrist. I don't remember what I paid for the visit and free pair of contacts. Afterward I went back to the desk and requested my replacement glasses. Again their was an issue w the manager. WHAT IS HER PROBLEM with me. Although I was in line prior to the walk ins I had to wait nearly an hour to pick up my glasses. I wore contacts few days at the optometrist request. Went back and paid $300 for year supply. Its been six months since my replacement glasses and even though I wear contacts most of the time as I can barely see out of the new replacement glasses as they are very scratched up. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with LensCrafters glasses. I can't believe over $900 and I am looking thur scratched up lenses as I write this. Excuse me but I need to put my Contacts on. read more

I purchased a pair of progressives from LensCrafters in March 2020 for $650 based on what they told me about the lens being better progressives than others. In fact they weren't much better so decided I wouldn't buy these again. That said 50 + of that purchase was a guarantee on the glasses should they malfunction. Well December 2020 the frames started separating from the lenses so I took them in to be repaired. "All you have to do is give us $25 more and we'll fix them for you." "The frames are 300$" You have to be kidding me. I've purchased online frames for a fraction of this that are equal quality. Never again.... read more

Couple hours ago by accident I got few drops of strong penetrating oil in my one eye. Flushed eye for 15+ minutes per aerosol can instructions. Then said to see doctor. Lenscrafters Ming Avenue fit me into their schedule, gave me full eye exam and the price was very reasonable. Heading home now and back to work using just a little more caution. I want to share how the store gave us exceptional customer service: At the beginning on Feb. We purchased a pair of progressive lens to put in my wife's original frames. After wearing them for about 10days we made an appointment with the off site eye doctor to check if they matched the prescription issued in Nov. 2020. The lens matched but my wife's prescription had changed over the 3 months. Went the same day of new eye exam to Lenscrafter, explained the issue and without any hesitation they explained they would order new lens and replace them at No charge!! Over the weekend, my glasses ended up at the bottom of San Diego Bay. Monday, I made it through work with my prescription sunglasses, but I desperately needed new regular glasses. I walked into this Lenscrafters, and immediately, three employees greeted me, and began my case. One was calling my insurance, another was checking the availability of lenses to match my prescription, and one helped me shop for frames. My insurance was horribly slow, so the transaction took longer than I hoped, but it wasn't their fault. In the meantime, Tomeka took the lead on my case. She measured me and finalized the insurance. She promised the glasses would be done in an hour. Beyond that, she moved really fast because I had to leave for a meeting. I appreciated her extra effort. At my meeting, I got a text when the glasses were ready. I was nearby, so I ran over to get them. As I write this, I am adjusting to the new lenses. I'll update this review if/when I need to have them adjusted. Right now, I'm just delighted that I can work tomorrow without sunglasses! read more

Will I ever get my glasses and will they be the right ones?! Who really know at this point. 1 week has now turned into 3 weeks but dont even know if I'll have the right pair of glasses then. I ordered specific lenses which they didnt have in stock and needed to order. Apparently at some point they cancelled my order for whatever reason and I only found this out because I called to check status. They tell me they were canceled and reordered a few days later (which now puts it 3 days or so behind) I have a feeling they were just ordered again because I called in and they realized the error. After that phone call, I expected that this was squared away and I'd have my glasses in a week. Well fast forward a week later to today, I get a message that my glasses are ready for pickup. I get there really needing these glasses as I'm starting a new job Monday, well wouldnt you know it! They dropped the ball once again! They are the WRONG pair of glasses!! So here I wait another full week week to see what I get at that point, like I said...who knows!? Horrible experience and service, waste of time, inconvenience and gas. Tomorrow March 5th 2019.. today on the 4th they called me three times the first time was to make sure I'm going to my appointment the second time was to make sure I'm going to my appointment and to tell me they ran my insurance it all went through so I don't have to worry about nothing it's all done it's all okay the third time they called me was to let me know they could not find nothing about my insurance.. I told them I've already been called twice and the second time I was told they ran my insurance everything went through and now you're telling me you can't find it... Bad experience! I purchased glasses at this store and I was told if there was any problems within 30 days I could bring them back and they would fix it. Well within 3 days one of the lens popped out so Went back and I was told there was nothing they could do for me. So i reach out to corporate and received a response about a week later. (Email). Saying they could not help me that I needed to go back to the store where I purchase them from. I do not have alot of tolerance for bullshit, so I had them fixed at another store in less than 2 hrs.
