I have been going to this office for about 4-5 years, and I absolutely love the staff and Dr…read more Ratty. However, I had a disappointing experience today. I went in hoping to shop for glasses and arrived at 4:04 pm. The office closes at 4:45 pm. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted as usual and instead felt dismissed. When I was finally helped, the receptionist, immediately told me that I could no longer place an order and that I should have arrived by 4:00 pm to do so. I work until 4:00 pm and came as quickly as I could. I had never been informed of this policy before, and the way it was communicated felt very rude. I would have been much more understanding if the situation had been explained politely and if I had at least been invited to browse frames for a future purchase. Instead, I had to ask if I could at least look around, and I was told that no one could help me but that I could look if I wanted. The interaction made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, so I ultimately chose to leave. This experience was very upsetting because I have always had positive experiences at this office. This review does not reflect the rest of the staff or Dr. Ratty, but rather the way this situation and policy were communicated to me.

I started going to Dr. Ratty since I was a child. Continued going under my own insurance and also…read morebrought my 2 children there. About 2 years ago I tried making an appointment for me and my 2 children to all be seen "same day" as I live out of town, im a single mom and work full time. They refused and i asked management if they could make an exception and they said no that was their policy. At that time I let them know I was going to try and look for another place to accommodate my current needs. Fast forward to this year I called just to make an appointment for myself and was told I was put on a do not service customer list Reason Being: we can not accommodate you and your 2 children during an appointment. I let them know I didn't need to schedule 2 other appointments, they continued to deny service for reasons completely unknown to me. I've always purchased glasses/ contacts from this business for my family, and also drive family out here for their appointments. I love dr. Ratty his service has always been great. It's unfortunate that a business I've been apart of for many many years doesn't seem to care for the customer if it's inconvenient for them and you don't know it until it happens to you.
