I've been patronizing this location for years because of the great service I've received. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The turn around time for glasses on my part takes about a week because I have the worst eyesight however for my kids and spouse they've been able to pick up there glasses in about an hour. read more

This was my family's first visit and I can only compare this to last year's horrible experience with Walmart Optical. Dr. Richard Simonds is amazing, has a great sense of humor and personality, as well as the rest of the staff. They have several different name brands, while we were disappointed that some weren't available with in our prescriptions, we were able to find others because of their selection. They said their lab was down, however one pair of glasses they were able to have ready in less than an hour and the others we'll have to wait a week... read more

Dr. Simon is great, but the Assistant Manager and another staff member were awful. When I received a snarky message to confirm my appointment, I returned the call and had to leave a message that I would be there for my scheduled appointment, despite the threat that they would give away my appointment if I did not call back. When I arrived for my appointment, they had already booked someone else in my 2 pm time slot. She told me I could wait 45 minutes for another appointment. When I said I had left a message when nobody picked up, the assistant manager rudely replied that they didn't have an answering machine and she had no idea with whom I had left a message! SHE WAS THE ASSISTANT MANAGER AND DID NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THEIR PHONE SERVICE WORKED! Unbelievable! I asked for a copy of my medical records and for my glasses to be adjusted to keep them from sliding down my nose. I informed her that their bad business practices had cost them a customer. Worst LensCrafters I have even been to. First they were not much help. Had nothing I wanted. Not even simple lenses. Had to order them. Then I brought my frames in and they tell me that their lab is out of order and it will take at least a week just to install lenses. While standing here.... Convenient location, plenty of parking. The curb in front is really high but a small ramp is down the way a very short distance. $$ to $$$ prices. I spent over two hours waiting for my glasses only to find out they messed up with the coating. It was after 7pm so I have to come back the next day. Fine. The following day I called to make sure that my glasses were ready because I have to drive 30 miles to get to this location. They informed me they were ready for pick up. When I got there, they have issue of imperfection on the coating. I asked them to mail it in to the store closest to my house(this was Wed).. and they assured me they will be there on Monday. I allocated my time to take care of this Monday, however, I found out they haven't even ship it. I just wasted another day. Under the circumstances above. This was the worst experience. I had a contact stuck in my eye and was quoted $25 for the visit. Once I got into the exam room, the doctor was rude and didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He couldn't explain or answer any of my questions. Then he aggressively pressured me to pay him $45 instead. He collected the money in exam room and added the money to his wallet. I felt ripped off just for him to leave an orange dye all over my eye without cleaning it up. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!! read more

I currently wear glasses. Went to Lenscrafters and had my eyes examined and a pair of glasses made. When I received the glasses they were worse than the ones I was currently wearing. I will give LensCrafters five stars for crediting my account and taking the glasses back. And I will give the Doctor Who examined my eyes one star. He reexamined my eyes a 2nd time and swore that he made no mistakes. He refused to refund my exam fee. Will never go there again read more

Needed my eyeglasses repaired after I accidentally pulled the arm off and warping the hinge-oops. I put off repair because honestly I was kinda broke. Ok so once I decided it was time for repair I called 3 other eyeglass repair places around Hemet on a Monday morning at 9am and they were either closed or rude! One place even answered the phone "Hello". And that was all. Then I was told " tomorrow would be better if you come". Um okay. No thanks! I saw Lens Crafter and thought..ugh they probably will be more expensive. I hesitated, but went anyways and was greeting with a friendly smile and "how can I help you"? right away. And I was shocked when they provided the free service!!! I was so thankful! I was really tight on cash and having received the outstanding service I now have a planted seed in my brain that I WILL get my next set of glasses here AND I am going to refer everyone I know to them. I have now purchased many pair of glasses from LensCrafters and many of them have gone back. I have purchased 3 pair from this location and these are the 3 pair that I have kept. One pair is a progressive lens, one pair is for reading only and one pair for sunglasses. This place provides quality products, a great return policy and pretty good service. read more

This location has been up and down over the years but I think down is where they seem to be settling. I had to have my lenses remade because an accident damaged them in December of 2015. It took them over a week and 12 contacts over the phone and in person to get them. The right eye was not right when I got them. I kept telling the staff this and they kept telling me "I was getting to that age". Finally got disgusted and quit trying. When I could finally afford new glasses last June, I went back to this location. I immediately knew when I got my sunglasses the right eye was not correct. I was waiting 10 days for my regular glasses, due to the Blue IQ coating, and was told to wait until those came in before I tried to adjust the sunglasses any more. Once the glasses came in, they were wrong also. Back to the optometrist after a few visits for adjustments. Optometrist then finds the right lenses were at 100 instead of 110. And surprise, the pair I was complaining about for years was made wrong in that eye too. No apology, just glossed over their negligence. I wanted oversized sunglasses frames. Returned a pair I didn't like, no problem. Got another pair and they kept bending out of shape. 3 Lenscrafters offices in 2 states later, someone finally says you may not be able to wear these because they are getting bent out of your adjustment shape when you put them in the case. Finally! Then about 2 months later, my dog hit my glasses and got them out of shape. From that point, I have been to this location no less than 40 times for adjustments! (A note: most employees are not licensed opticians and I didn't find this out until adjustments made to my glasses that were incorrect and damaging/straining my eyes further.) October is when I got them into a spot I could work with and not go back. Plus going 2-3 times a week was aggravating and stressful! By February, the frames were giving me a headache and I had to go get them adjusted. I went in and said I had 4 issues with the frames, the nose pieces being the last one to address because they were so exact. The first thing done was move my nose pieces and I literally have been unable to wear glasses since February!! Tried new lenses in the old frames but the frames were so out of shape it was no help. Finally gave up and tried to get an entirely new set of glasses, even though I had just paid over $500 for glasses in June. Dr wanted to out me in prisms. Which I imagine would work well if you could get them properly fitted and in place. But it's miserable when they're unable to get them there. Finally after a month, I returned them and got my money back because I can't afford to hand them more money for a useless product. I had asked they keep my old frames and lenses and was told okay. When I returned the glasses for a refund, I asked about my old glasses and was told they didn't have them. They only keep them for about a week and send them back. SO NOW I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GLASSES I PAID FOR FROM LAST JUNE, if you're following this! Also, my sunglasses frames were heated too long and it made the plastic wavy on the earpiece back in October. When I went back in February and pointed this out, I was told they would order me another pair. I have still yet to get them. Was told they were ordered but were on backorder. We were waiting to adjust the sunglasses until I got the new frame. Now I'm down to 1 pair of previous prescription sunglasses that are damaged and ill adjusted. I can't recommend going to this place for any reason at this point. read more

I have been wearing glasses since I was eleven years old. I am now 60. I have had a lot of eye exams and service from private providers. This was the first time I have gone to a LensCrafters. The exam & prescription that I received here at this Hemet LensCrafters was the best one that I have ever received in my life. Bonus, I didn't have to pay a premium price for my glasses. Just picked up my 'new' glasses and, since I first stepped into the store two weeks ago, I have been more than satisfied with everything and everybody associated with LensCrafters. I received my initial examination by Dr. Richard K. Simonds, O.D., who was very patient and thorough in explaining the whole process. (It had been 15 years since my last examination.) I really love my existing frames and was afraid they would have to be replaced because they were actually Fossil sunglass frames. I was informed there would be no problem fitting the new lenses into my existing frames. Two weeks later, my lenses had arrived back from the lab and were fitted into the frames in less than an hour. I must also add that all the customer service personnel were pleasant, knowledgeable and eager to assist in all my needs. I was initially assisted by Juana but it seemed that everyone working there was exceptional! I will definitely be returning here when it's time for another pair of glasses. I've been trying for over 2 months to get in and see the doctor to get a new set of glasses every time I go in there is always no doctor in. I went when they first open and she said sorry no doctor until 1pm then I go another day about 10 and the same thing no doctor. I go again at 2:30pm and guess what no doctor on Thursday . So when exactly is there a doctor there. I am a mom of 4 that works full time so I go in when I have down time and every time no doctor that is just crazy how every time there is no doctor. Do not come to this location! Not only is LensCrafters overpriced, but they don't always come out good quality either. My boyfriend came here thinking he was paying extra to get his glasses fast and have good quality prescription, it turned out the opposite. We had to return here multiple times (about 7 times to be exact, that's 14 times back and forth) because of the poor quality lenses he received. First they gave him the frames used for display which were scratched and stretched out from the sides. Then the lenses had a shiny green mark because the anti reflective coating wasn't on properly. They replaced the frames and fixed the lenses. Only to later discover that one lens didn't have coating like the other did (which caused a lot of strain on my boyfriend's vision because he has a bad astigmatism). They finally replaced the lenses and they're fine, but I have to say they did a very lazy job at first and it was a lot of back and forth until he finally got the glasses he needed. Would have saved more money going anywhere else. This is the most expensive place to go for glasses and the quality doesn't add up to it. And to top it off the employees are very naive and unprofessional. We will never return here. I highly don't recommend coming here. read more

I brought in my script for new sunglasses and after 2 was they came only to be sent back due to not being dark enough and also cost 575,00 bucks and when raven back to be corrected they told me 1 wk at the end of 3 was still no glasses when I stopped in on the sat just before the 3rd wk I was told they shipped and would be in the following mon well when thurs rolled around I called and was told they were still shipping and the girl was going to call me right back I called at 11 a m and at 330 still no call when I called back at 330 she said oh I was just getting ready to call,,,, really how conv, I asked for a refund and went elsewhere but they never gave me my script back and I had to go to the v a Hosp to get another one they did this assuming that you would be forced to do business with them But terrible Cust serv I would never go there againi never went any other one but this one is for the birds putting it nicely The worse cust service after 4 has waiting for a return phone call I thought it time call back myself and that's when she said I was just getting ready to call you back. ....really read more

Had my exam in Nov 2017. Told Dr that was seeing double almost like split screen effect. He had perfect solution....I needed prisms in both lenses. Left eye had 4 prism, right 1. No insurance so couldn't fill script till March. I was so excited about the prospect of seeing everything as one instead of split. Was told of 30 day money back guarantee. Picked up my.glasses and was told that it would take take two weeks for my eyes to get used to prisms. Pretty much couldn't see for 2 weeks but kept waiting to adjust. 2.5 weeks later went back and told them...lady was very nice and started to adjust prism strength on trial glasses. Still couldn't see. She went back and got the Dr...he came out and was very frustrated and told her to take out prisms completely... They made new pair with no prisms. I can see better now but was never offered any refund on cost for prisms and I actually would have never purchased glasses knowing that double vision couldn't be fixed. The girls are nice in there but the Dr loves to push these prisms . Heard him sell two different patients prisms. Hope they worked for them. Just be careful and don't get talked into prisms unless you know for sure you need them and more so are able to see out of them. You won't get any refunds and they aren't cheap. read more

They are great!!! The doctors are really nice! The eyeglass selection is good! They had the Raybans I wanted! The new Clarifye eye exam is like something out of Star Trek! The computer eyeglass fitting is really accurate and much better than the old fashion way of measuring. The staff is friendly too! They will continue to get my business! read more

I've been to the Hemet location several times. Each experience was fairly good until the past 3 days. I was seen a week ago and paid for designer glasses, along with my exam and contact lens fitting. The gal that helped me that day was amazing. Clearly that's where it ended. I called 3 days ago to request that they order my contacts as I had been pleased with how they fit, level of comfort, etc. The lady on the phone informed me that she could not locate my prescription. Really? I was just there a week ago. She then proceeded to tell me that she would find it and give me a call back. I never heard a word from her so today I decided to stop by the store and get things sorted out. The lady that "assisted" me today (middle-aged, tall, thicker woman with brown hair and glasses) also told me that she couldn't locate my prescription. At this point, I'd had enough so I told her that somebody better find it since I am paying for their services. And that's when she got extremely RUDE and shot back "STOP!!!! STOP RIGHT THERE!!" I could not believe how badly I was being treated...especially as a paying customer. She spoke to me in the most condescending manner, as if I was a child. I've never in my life been treated so badly. I will be reporting this to corporate, as well as the doctor and the location manager. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BESIDES HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DECENCY!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Stacy adjusted my glasses and ruined them by chipping the paint on one arm from keeping it on the heat too long and one arm is more bent in than the other so they aren't even. She tried to get the manager Involved Roj and she went on to polish them to hopefully make me happy but the paint is still chipped off on one arm that she even used her nail to show me comes off by scratching it and a residue was left on from the polish she used and she goes on to tell me that glasses after so long disintegrate and that heat doesn't chip paint!!!! Common sense, glasses don't disintegrate and heat does chip paint if you leave it on too long which is obviously what happened. I made a claim through corporate and they told me that she was supposed to get back to me on a resolution and she hasn't so now they are having the corporate managers get involved on my case and she also lied to them and said she told me when I walked in the store that adjusting glasses when they are older (mine are only a couple years old) that things like this might happen. Regardless if I walk in to your place of business with nothing wrong with my glasses and walk out with them damaged and me not happy your losing not me!! read more

I don't recommend going to LensCrafters you don't see the same doctor and to be honest they didn't help me i just paid for the consult and walked out with a prescription for something that just didn't solve my issue. I would never go back they make you feel like your a bother. read more

Had been here before and they were average although we had to call them to see if our glasses were in and they'd been there for a few days. This time, wife wanted to replace lost designer sunglasses with the same prescription less than a year old. After declining a push to do another doctor exam (we have other medical for this) she made an appointment the next morning. We arrived for it, and there was an employee and customers waiting as they opened the store over 15 minutes late. Really? No information or apology, just have a seat and we'll get to you when we can (for us it was 'when the technician gets here'). As they fiddled with the cash drawer, computer and other items that should have been done before the doors even opened, both employees seemed confused and flustered, and needed help from one another while they were doing whatever they were doing. Meanwhile, 4 customers are waiting patiently. About 45 minutes after they were supposed to open, they had 3 customers with appointment times waiting and they took a walk-in before the appointments. We left and went to the Palm Desert store. $650 in retail sales went to the other store instead of Hemet that morning. read more
