I needed to replace a pair of lenses in my Ray-Ban's and ordered them online. I was concerned about swapping them out and damaging the frame so I took them to LensCrafters. They popped the old ones out put the new ones in and off. I went with wonderful clear vision again. $500 glasses, bought warranty, had to return the glasses because the lens delaminated within two days, lenscrafters charged $50 despite the warranty to fix them and now the problem is back but glass is cracking in several lines on the top of the lens, I have never seen anything like this in forty years of wearing glasses Time consuming and frustrating read more

Amazing! My glasses were accidentally crushed after an outdoor run. I called this LensCrafters as a last ditch effort to see if they could do anything. Knowing it was last minute and I did not purchase glasses from this store I believed my chances were slim. I spoke with Lauren, who may have been the manager. I've always had a good experience with this LensCrafters. I had LASIK eye surgery several years ago, so I get an eye exam here once a year just to check-up and make sure my prescription is holding up. So far, so good! I always have an easy time getting scheduled for my exams and getting in and out of the actual exams quickly. The staff has always been a breeze to work with. A couple of years ago I was having some trouble with computer screens. I work a desk job, so I'm looking at a computer 8 to 9 hours a day. My doctor recommended reading glasses to assist my eyes in dealing with all of the screens, so I got them from this LensCrafters. The process was quick and easy, and I had no issues. I still have the glasses now, and they're great! I plan to take them in soon to be tightened and cleaned. I actually haven't done that since I purchased them, but they are just starting to get a bit loose. I recently went to this LensCrafters location to purchase eyeglasses. In an attempt to save a little money, I opted to get new lenses in my existing frames. Doing this voided all of the heavily advertised specials, and I ended up paying the same as I would have paid to get entirely new glasses at my eye doctor's office! In addition, despite being there when the doors opened, the entire experience took a bit over 4 hours!!! There was only one employee working in the main store who constantly indicated that it was unfair to both she and the customers and handled it to the best of her ability. After finally being helped, my prescription was given to the optician and I was told to go kill an hour in the mall. I returned in an hour anxious to get my glasses and be on my way only to be told that the optician was not pleased with the final product and needed to make them again! While I was pleased with the honesty and attention to detail, I had to then kill another hour in the mall. When I finally received my glasses and left the store, I counted 9 customers waiting for assistance (some complaining loudly). I only give the second star out of respect for the one employee who was doing her best and did not let the backup of customers cause her to rush or become short with people. They have always seen me promptly and are professional. I've even had an eye infection and they scheduled me the same day. They do same day glasses pickup for a lot of their lenses and keep contacts in stock. It's also very easy to get lenses adjusted or cleaned with it being conveniently located in the mall. Great styles+ unbeatable high tech precision = my source for glasses. After a failed experiment at another glasses place, I finally realized I just need to come back to the mother-ship: Lenscrafters. I realized that I have been a loyal customer for years for good reasons: countless frame choices and their high tech equipment. These are both things I deem necessary for something that is on my face for more than two thirds of the day. The eye exam process was just as I expected: timely, detailed yet efficient. Since I have already completed the exhaustive search for the perfect frames on my own time, the fitting process was just as efficient. I REALLY love the FitSensor--it is a piece of instrument they put on your new frames (while you are wearing them) to electronically measure the location of your pupils and the spacing of your eyes relative to the frames. Thanks to this process, my eyes adjusted to the new glasses so quickly, I forgot I had them on within 15 minutes! And I got back all of those pixels I have been missing in my last couple of years! I would give them 5 stars if there were more techs working. Perhaps it is due to my timing: end of the year is the time a lot of people want to use up the $$ in their health bank by getting glasses. But that is more reason to have more help in the store. I did feel hurried while picking up my glasses. Gone are the days of sitting down at a table while having my frames adjusted to perfection. The tech was with me for all of 30 seconds while standing at the counter. He quickly adjusted my frames and sent me on my way. He was not rude or inexperienced, just spread a bit too thin. read more

Ordered glasses on3-13 from Louisville's store at 7900 Shellbyville Rd...delivery time was to be 3 to 5 business days. I understand we are in a pandemic BUT the store closed 3-25 and I have no glasses. I called the store on the 20, 23 and 24tg and was told they shipped on the 19th. But they cannot track the shipment!!! Now the store is closed and the message is to call Customer Service which I did. BUT it's automated and the last option is call your local store. ...and the store is closed and says call Customer Service!!! This had me madder than not having my glasses!!! Awful experience. Won't ever be back or buy glasses from them again. Purchased my glasses less than a month ago. Have had to return 3 times for adjustments. Not normal. Never in my life have I ever needed adjustments like I've needed with these frames. At first the lenses weren't cut proportional to fit in the frame correct and they stuck out of the bottom of the frame, also the glasses frame loosened very quickly on my face. Took them back to be adjusted and show them the lenses. The guy rudely fixed them. Then went back because my frames bent again with normal wear. ALL in ALL, I had 3 separate visits to this location, and I was met with rude customer service every single time. read more

I am currently sitting in LensCrafters waiting for them to reapply the protective film on my $300+ "premium" lenses. This was my second trip since yesterday because the lab was "closing" when I came in about 2 hours before their listed closing business time. I came in just after 10 am today (Monday morning) when they opened and was promptly attended to. I dropped off my glasses for a reapplication of the coating and was told it would be about an hour. It is now 12:27 pm and I have been waiting for over 2 hours. I even walked in and signed in, since I was not called or otherwise notified that they were ready (is it really necessary to sign in to pick up glasses?). I wouldn't have stuck around if they told me it would take the whole morning or if they actually intended to call me when my glasses were ready. Maybe it's just that they are overwhelmed. Maybe others have/will have a better experience. But I will not be getting my next pair of glasses from LensCrafters if I can help it. read more

Synopsis: Unfriendly and too worried about getting to their lunch to care about clientele. Yes I was stuck in traffic and running late. Completely my fault! My appointment was at 12:40 I called and spoke with a young woman who said "that they would still take me but that the doctors take lunch at 1pm." First of all why schedule appointments at that time if you're going to take lunch so rigidly? So I told her I would be there asap. I arrived 10 minutes late, since it was in the mall and I had to navigate parking, and the woman's response when I told her I had an appointment was that " my appointment was at 12:40 and they take lunch at 1pm can I come back at 2?" This would have been okay but she was rude about it. I told her I called and I advised I was running late. She stated that no one there got a call. After her being rude I told her I would take my business elsewhere. Why argue with someone? Why would I want to get an exam there? This is the second lenscrafters location I've been to in this city and its always a bad experience. I'm not going to try to go here anymore. read more

We both received outstanding service and a lot of patience while fitting our frames. My wife's prescription required special order in about 10 days. Both of my glasses, sun and clear lenses, were ready in about 1 hour. The fit and lenses were perfect. They even gave us both an additional discount for purchasing multiple frames and lenses. In November, after getting my eyes examined at the eye Dr. next door to Lens Crafters, I took my prescription next door for glasses. There were a few customers but they were not over crowded with them. So a sales person came up to me, explained how the whole "package deal" pricing system worked as far as frames and told me she would give me time to look around. So I did. After looking and trying on several frames, I took my choice to the counter and waited to be helped. 3 different sales people told me they would be with me "shortly". 45 minutes later I finally got waited on. Then it got REALLY crazy. After sitting down at the machine that measures your face & eyes etc and doing a few more measurements, I was finally finished...I thought. I was given a total for my glasses on the computer. So I gave my credit card for payment. The sales girl tried to run it 3 or 4 times but something was wrong with the credit card machine. She started over each time but it would not go thru. Another person was called over to help her out and they agreed the system was down. So after being there for and hour and a half, I told her I would just write a check so I could get finished. You would think that would be easy. When she ran the check through the machine, a long receipt printed out that showed that my credit card had actually been charged! So now I have paid with a check & a credit card. WOW. Then she says that they will just send me a refund check from the "home office" for the difference. Needless to say after nearly 2 hours in the store, I was furious and ready to get out of there! Then, after 3 weeks of waiting for my glasses I called to see if they were ready, I was told something was wrong with one lens & they had to redo them. It would have been nice to get a call to let me know what was taking so long. I will never go back to Lens Crafters. They get a big fat 0 for customer service! read more

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! This is my second purchase from LensCrafters in Oxmoor. The first, I bought two pair of glasses for my then 8 year old. They cost over $400.00 I was walking out dumb founded on the price. I didn't question it because he was sooo excited. We received cases, cleaning supplies and a bag to carry them in. The lady checked the fit and cleaned them before he left. Today... Monday, September 2, 2019 we walked for new glasses. The lady that helped us was WONDERFUL!!! She was older and wore a white coat. Beautiful spirit!! The manager that checked us out was friendly, tried to sucker punch me for $235 with insurance paying $325. I was thinking, WTHeck!! Told her I needed a breakdown. For some blue premium coating it was OVER $400.00. I was fooled once. After I told her to take that off, my bill was $167.22. He need them today or I would have ordered them online like a lady was doing. She said she comes in to try them on and they are wayyyy cheaper online. Anyway. My receipt did NOT REFLECT THE FULL PRICE. I have an alert going to my phone for purchases and they do not match. Now I have to go back. TIME WASTED!! The lady said she would call me when the glasses were ready. I'm still waiting. We went back after 3 hours. The young girl that asked if we needed help said the machine was broken and they were not ready. I told her I was not told that. We went back and forth so she went to check. Came back with his glasses. Handed me the prescription and handed my 10 year old his glasses. I asked if he could see. He said yes. She just stood there. I did too waiting for her customer service skills to kick in. She said thank you. I was pissed because I am tired of companies not training properly. She didn't check his fit, offer a mirror... I had to ask for a case, a bag, which I didn't get. Nothing to clean the glasses with. WHY!? I told her to forget it, I'll call corporate and send my 2 cents. Not that they care. She said, today's my first day, sorry. My son said, at least she said sorry. That's not a real apology... just a learned response. I need to get my eyes check in order to get my permit. I happened to walk by this place when I was shopping for baby clothes for my coming up nephew so I was with my sister, brother-in-law and my 1 year old niece. I know they seen us walk in since we even had a stroller, yet no one bothered to greet us or assist us. I had just got paid so I was more than willing to look into getting contacts and do all the paper work. At least 3 workers were there assisting an old lady, but none of them acknowledge us. Im not sure if its because the way we look (racial profile) or simply they dont care to make sure people get acknowledge. I could have easily spend good $250 but it really made me upset to get ignored by everyone in this place after being in there walking and looking at the frames. I have bought two pairs of glasses from the Oxmoor Center Lenscrafters in the last two years. If you follow their sales you can get a good price on frames and lenses and they are ready in a day. Yesterday I sat on my prescription reading glasses! They were flattened and I was sure that they were ready for the trash. I went to Lenscrafters in Oxmoor and a young man, Ray, greeted me and I told him my sad story showing him the pitiful pair of glasses. Using his tools he bent the corner pieces back to their original location, added new screws, and presented me with wonderful, repaired glasses! I was so happy! I went to a Lens Crafters in Menlo Park, CA and received the following service: I was yelled at upon entry for showing up to my appointment too early; I was given the incorrect prescription, and was given the incorrect measurements for my optical center (after a second visit). Knowing a visit to Kentucky was coming up, I decided to avoid going back to Menlo and instead decided to visit the location at Oxmoore, hoping for some more southern-style hospitality. Not only did they redo my eye exam within 20 minutes, they corrected the botched prescription done at Menlo AND gave me a sizable discount on new lenses. Every single employee was charming, attentive and personable. I left the store with new glasses that I can actually SEE out of! Who knew SEEING out of your glasses could feel so good? Anyway, Mr. Menlo Lens Crafters, if you're reading this, your customer service sucks and you need a good dose of southern schooling. read more

Update... My exam was redone and so was the fit. Dr. Snipes spoke with the manager (who is absolutely delightful to deal with) and things improved significantly. Plus, they hired a greeter. Thanks for listening and for caring! As a result, I increased the number of stars from 1 to 4. I hated my first recent visit at Lenscrafter's @ Oxmoor Mall; everything that could have gone wrong, it did. First, they changed the setting from a pleasant inviting store to a chaotic one. There is no greeter who could orient you, no place to sit while waiting, no idea who is next in line, etc; plus, the music was so loud that people were speaking up to be heard, which made the wait even more unpleasant. Probably the worst part is that when your turn finally comes up, the employee you work with gets interrupted all the time, so s/he pays little attention to you as a customer. Finally, I needed reading glasses, so the first comment when I was approached was, "oh, you just need some readers! Then you can get something small"... Really? I was not there to get just any pair of $500 readers, I was there to get a pair of glasses that I could gladly wear 12h a day while doing my job...otherwise I could have bought a cheap pair somewhere else. read more
