I really wished I read the reviews first before going here. It was the WORST experience I've ever had! I had an appointment and I had to wait 40 minutes for the doctor to see me. What's the point of making an appointment for?? Most of the tests were done by the receptionist who was so busy helping so many people at the same time. There were two other employees there but all too lazy to help. They were just standing around doing NOTHING!! The doctor was super nice but the service right before going in ruined it! Except for Dr. Chan, everyone else was super rude!! I will never come here again! I bought my glasses from lens crafters at this location at northridge mall for the first time a year ago. I come back every two weeks or so to get them adjusted. I have high index lens and they're sensitive to heat and they never pop the lenses out before they do it. One day an associate adjusted my glasses and I put them on for fit but I couldn't open my eyes because I was wearing my contacts. I put them safely back in my case and went on with my day. The first time I took them out to wear them, their were a bunch of scratches. I spoke to the general manager about it and she was such a rude person and wouldn't do anything about it and she said I would have to pay $100 for my warranty and that was my only choice! She was not helpful at all! And she's a horrible manager! I went to lens crafters on Tampa, spoke to their general manager and explained the problem and she was very sweet and nice enough to order me new lens free of charge! Don't ever go to the lens crafters at the northridge mall. If you ever get those weird lines on your glasses, they're called craze. Extremely slow service. Staff is very friendly but they only have one doctor and even if you make an appointment it will take an hour or more to see the doctor. I made an appointment came in early and the doctor skipped over me and assisted a young girl with her parents who I know arrived later than me. Waste of time and my hard earned money. read more

So I got an eye exam and it's really hard to get an accurate exam with the mask. The lenses kept fogging up. My prescription seemed off so I called and was told to give it some time. I had them almost the 30 days and it did not get better. I came in and they checked my lenses and recommended the doctor see me again. The manager (Jen that's what the receipt says) and Alex were helping me. Alex seemed very knowledgeable. He kept telling the manager Jen what to do. She scheduled me for an appointment the following week. I went to the appointment and when I arrived they had no record of me coming in or that I had an appointment. I don't go anywhere because of COVID so to have to reschedule was inconvenient. The manager Jen did not remember helping me but Alex did. They said I could be seen but would have to wait. I waited almost an hour standing because I don't like to sit on the cloth chairs they can't really be sanitized. I don't see them sanitizing them either. I told the manager that if it was that long I could have been asked to come back. I could have waited in my car. She said it was because I was a walk in. I was like No, I had an appointment that you didn't schedule correctly. So it appears she is new and doesn't know how to schedule re-examination appointments. They also do not have the anti fog available for people picking up glasses. I could not even wear mine because they get steamed up with the mask. It was really inconvenient. I've been wearing glasses since I was in elementary school so I've become quite familiar with glasses. Their fit their size and basically what materials are preferred for which ever activities. It happens when you break them a lot too. Lenscrafters has always been the avg retailer when it comes to glasses but recently I've noticed they've backed up their avg selection with amazing warranty and return policy. I had some time to sit in this Lenscrafters in The Northridge Fashion center as I waited for my Eye Exam and the ladies who were showing people their glasses knew what they were talking about. When it comes to fitting different faces and what not the customer support was great. I still wish they had more selections. read more

Horrible customer service lab manager is an idiot who doesn't have the basic understanding of glasses. I've been a customer for years and the people they have now are a joke. Instead of hiring people who know their stuff the hired a dumb woman who had no real answers. Such a waste of my time. Taking my business elsewhere, she also took a long time to come out to speak to me but I clearly saw her on her phone and joking around with her staff. Honestly the worst lenses I've ever had in my life. I paid extra for that special coating and the genius hat gave me my glasses decides to clean them with a tissue and scratches them. Pros: a decent selection of frame styles; good help from the more mature/experienced workers. Cons: overpriced compared to other places, even when they have "discounts"; younger, less experienced workers can be rude and naive. Comments: I have had good luck with the workers who look like they have raised families, paid taxes, paid a mortgage, dealt with life. The workers who appear to have the luxury of spending their entire paycheck on a single pair of shoes or a fashion accessory have been less helpful, though. One young lady, while helping me, gasped, "How horrible!" What was she referring to? My handbag. She had looked down and seen that it was old and tattered. Nice girl, but had she ever experienced or observed anything truly horrible in life, she would have been less trivial and insulting. I will overlook the comment and treat it as the result of her naivete. Regarding price, when she told me the price for my lenses, it seemed way too high. I went elsewhere and saved $140. Service was not what I expected! I only came here because I needed glasses in a hurry! The staff here are so rude and they change quotes they give you when you come into the store! I lost the last of my contacts suddenly and needed to get my eyes checked since my glasses weren't the right prescription. At about 5:30 pm I called them asking if they had any appointments today. Every single store in the area had told me I had to wait until the following day but this store squeezed me in as the last appointment at 6:20. I rushed over there and they got me in right away. I forget the name of the girl that was helping me but she was super friendly and helpful. I was able to see the doctor and get my new glasses that evening with no struggle. I had new lenses put in my frames and it only took about an hour. The girl helping me asked if I had a AAA card to get a discount, so I tried calling my dad to see if he could find it. He was unable to find the card, however they still gave me the discount, which I thought was extremely nice. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my glasses/contact needs. read more

I visited this location a couple days ago with my daughter to inquire about exam, glasses, contacts, etc. prices and also to try on different frames. We were greeted by an employee by the name of Hayk. I don't usually write or post reviews, but this particular employee went out of his way to be friendly and helpful and I believe exceptional service should be recognized. He was very knowledgeable and even fixed my old glasses that were crooked at no charge. I went there to buy/order sunglasses and Karin provided an excellent customer service. She spent a lot of time with me and checked many different options for me. I came almost around closing time and I was totally expecting a rushed service. Instead she took time and provided an excellent service. I have a vision plan through my insurance and she checked many different options to help me get most out my plan. So if you are in that area make sure you go there and if you are lucky you will get Karin. She was super nice and helpful! So Karin set up an appointment for me to and when I went back to have my eye exam, the optometrist was also very nice and knowledgeable. I ended up ordering a pair of sunglasses and they ordered them directly through RayBan. So I am happy with everything. read more

Wow the service I revived today was beyond what I expected! Warm welcoming and was attended as soon as I came in. Mind this place was packed and still got the best one on one service! The staff was full of energy asking me the correct questions and assisting me on every step. I didn't feel like a doctors appointment, if I was a 2 year old I would not be scared at all! The Dr. was so nice and made me feel like a guest in her home. The selection of eye is great! Didn't take me long to find a pair of glasses that fir my frame and the pricing is amazing! Didn't spend over $100 (with insurance) on Burberry glasses and they do not pressure you to pick and choose fast! What amazed me was all the patients they had, always by your side, and on top was the service! Best customer service I have ever had! The best part of all is that my glasses are ready in 1 hour! All I can say is the person who I assume is the store manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. After spending a good amount of money and having the frames break 1 year later I was first told the frames haven't been sold in 3 years when I purchased them at that very location exactly one year ago. Instead of offering me some kind of solution including trying to sell me a new pair she basically just blew me off and said I should check online to see if I can find some new frames. This person literally did not want to help me at all and was very rude in the process. If she would have even offered me a new pair at some kind of discount I would have done it. Sad to see the lack of customer service and unwillingness to do anything for a customer that's been getting glasses at lenscrafters for a very long time. By the way I missed the 1 year warranty by 4 days and that's how you get treated. Go to Costco or Walmart and you will get better service. read more

This was the absolute worst LensCrafters I've been to. I went in last week for an exam and to purchase lenses and frames. The entire time I kept getting rushed by a "Sesy". When I finally finished choosing my frames, she informed me that it would take 7-10 business day to pick up my eyeglasses as there was a problem with their lab. She said this was occurring to every Lenscrafters around. I was irritated, but I told her it was okay. While I was ready to finalize my order, Sesy spent about 20 minutes answering the phone about 3 different times with other customers and had me waiting for her to finish. I was getting more irritated by the minute. A week AFTER she told me they were supposed to arrive, I get a phone call telling me my eyeglasses won't be ready to pick up for another 3 weeks. Beware! It's a massive rip off! I was quoted $360 (without tax!) to replace my lenses with a new prescription & it wouldn't be ready for 10 days! (They said no lens crafters store carries my prescription) I left & went to an optic place a few blocks away and paid $150 (tax included) for the same lenses. They said since my prescription was very common, they would have it for me in the morning (I went in 20 min before closing) such a big difference between price, time and customer service that I was shocked! I am very unhappy with the service I received here. If I can give them no stars I would. Long story short, I haven't received my contacts and it's been over a YEAR of dealing with them. I've called several times and showed up but no contacts or any phone calls. One time they even tried to say that they don't make my contacts anymore. There was only one girl there that was helpful. I called today and they won't do anything now because I'm due for a new exam. After spending a lot of money for prescription glasses, eye exam, and the additional cost for eye exam for contacts last year, and all this time wasted...I am completely fed up with this place and will be taking my business else where. I might have gone back but the fact that they tried to push the blame on me saying that they haven't seen or spoke to me since February was completely false.
