I took 2 pairs of Cartier frames in to have new lenses made. I specified both shapes for the lenses to be the same, the shape was from a stock model that was present in the store. I was told 7-10 days, that was in June 7. It's the 24th, I received the text to pick them up. Got there and only 1 pair was there. Fine, I opened them up and the lenses are not at all what I asked for. Now, I'm gonna have to wait an additional 2.5- 3 weeks to get my glasses. I hope my other frames were done correctly, but they still aren't finished. This...after spending more than 2k. Never again! read more

There customer service is horrible went there today and they tried to rush me thru the process of giving me an eye exam then because they couldn't figure out what insurance I had they got upset and said that my insurance didn't recognize me and couldn't find me in the system I literally walked out and got an appointment down the street with no issues got my eye exam and bought a new pair of glasses ! You would think I was asking for something free ! SMH if I could rate this place less than one star I would read more

My wife and I went to this location for a yearly review and to get new glasses. My wife has Dr. Kathy Mosel and I have Dr. Charles Zolot. Both were great and very helpful and reviewed each of our situations. After that, we went out onto the sales floor found some glasses we like, and spoke with Maritza-772895. She assisted us with the purchase. We had NVA insurance which the dr office took but for some reason, the sales floor was not able to pull up the insurance. Maritza was unable to or did not know who else to call to get this resolved. So the only course of action was to pay out of pocket and file the claim manually myself. She gave some discount to assist with the cost. Then both lenses were not in stock and they had to be sent out. That was another frustrating issue. Maybe because this was a smaller store they did not have the inventory IDK. It would be nice if they were able to just send it to another store to be processed the same day. The time spent on it I could have asked to see if they could transfer or purchase the frames there and go to another location to have the lenses completed. Maybe next time I may ask to do that. Overall the Drs. were Great! The Frames and lenses purchase experience was so-so. I may go back next year Or check out the Willowbrook Mall location as I think they are still larger than this location. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. Awful sales and customer service. I've been to other locations but this by far is the worst. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help. Just a simple hello would have given me a better impression of the sales team. After trying on about 8 frames someone asked if i had an appointment? When do I need an appointment to buy glasses. This isn't the DMV. I kindly said no and replied I would just like a new frames. She said well you need an appointment. So I made it a point to leave. I've purchased a total of 8 glasses and rx sunglasses from LensCrafters in my lifetime but not today! Visionworks down the road kindly welcomed me and in. Showed what was available according to my face shape. Explained all the benefits my insurance provided and in a few days I had my new frames. LensCrafters in Totowa needs to learn how to treat people. read more

I have gone to lens crafters for years and got my eye exam and glasses from them. Never had a bad experience until recently. I got Ray Ban glasses that has to be sent out to be made saying that Ray Ban only does their lenses. I always get the scratch and blue light etc..This time they said they didn't offer that anymore and told me that i need to get insurance on my glasses? weird! basically the same insurance you get for your phone. Not wanting another monthly bill i declined the insurance. Glasses came in and a few months later i scratched them. brought them back and asked for a price. Told me $300 to replace lenses...asked for a lower option like getting non Ray Ban lenses or just doing the lense that was scratched. they told me No and basically sent me away with not a solution and scratch glasses. So that being said, i went to Visionworks to see if they could help me and they fixed my glasses with non Ray Ban lenses and quick!! I will never go back to lens Crafters for my glasses.. feel like they didn't help me and tried to overcharge and sell me on some insurance plan! I just bought a new pair from Visions works with scratch guard, blue light filter, smudge guard etc...very happy I found a good honest place to go!! read more

I enjoyed coming here. I was a little skeptical only because this isn't a small private owned place, but the doctor I saw was fantastic! She took her time with me, explained to me what she was looking at in my eye pictures. She even gave me advice on how to lower my cholesterol because my eyes showed signs of cholesterol. She over-exceeded my expectations, compared to another eye doctor who was taking in patient after patient and she seemed like she was rushing through her patients. The process of picking lenses was easy. The young lady I worked with, her name was Jessica. She was so pleasant and so kind. My lenses were done within an hour. This place makes things convenient for you. You can schedule your appointment online and you can choose to receive reminders through text! Only downside is that the waiting area to see the eye doctors is extremely small. read more

It's so ironic that when you wind up asking for another set of lenses because you ordered another set but they're not here yet and these people say oh it it's a policy we don't give the trials but meanwhile you wind up getting $20 more a box here for contact lenses and anywhere else and you won't take any insurance if you don't spend the full insurance you lose the insurance and they steal it not go in there don't ever go here they suck they suck they suck they suck!!! The eye exam group that's in there is horrible don't go to them they rip you off they charge you too much even with insurance they charge you for it it's just a shit show won't be going here anymore that's for sure I'm gonna go to a real eye doctor and not these a hopes read more

I called prior to coming here to make sure they had a specific Tory Burch black frame I wanted to try on. The woman on the phone took my name and said she'd put it on the side for when I arrive. I come in about an hour and a half later, there is one person at the front helping someone else (everyone else scattered at other desks, you won't really know where to go because no one paid any mind). When he has a second, he looks at me, asks me if I need help and when I told him I asked to put specific frames on the side he looked around and said "they're not here. I don't know where else they would be." And that's the end of the help I got there. I browsed around by myself and went to the Tory Burch section which happened to have a missing space right next to the brown version of the frames I wanted to try. Poor communication I guess. What a waste of time! I got there at 10:30 am for my appointment. I got in, saw the doctor, got a script for new glasses, and then made the mistake of trying to purchase them there. I wanted a pair of prescription sunglasses and a regular pair of glasses. I picked out two sets of frames, told the salesperson that I wanted the polorized lenses, for insurance on the sunglasses because I knew they'd end up getting squashed by a dog or similar in my car, gave the salesperson my insurance and my credit card, asked for the "buy one pair, get a second pair" deal, paid and was told to come back in two hours to pick them up. When I came back....no sunglasses! They looked at me like I was speaking Martian. They had no recollection of me ordering sunglasses. (This is 4 hours later). What a colossal waste of time! Efficient and effective. We went in, my particular son tried on several pairs of glasses from their wide selection, identified 4 pairs that he liked and he chose one. We purchased the glasses. They said they would be ready in an hour and they were actually ready in 15 minutes. The workers weren't super friendly, but they weren't rude either. They just minded their own business until we were ready to engage. They gave us space and time to browse, and were ready to process the order when we were ready. I never write on these sites but after my experience at LensCrafters I promised myself I would type up a review! my experience was awesome. The woman that helped me (Darleen or Doreen, I forget) was such a sweat heart. I'm only 21 years old, so I assumed that whatever sales associate I would work with would kind of blow me off thinking I wasnt worth good service. That was not the case! The woman greeted me with a smile and told me everything I needed to know, without being annoying, before I started looking for my glasses. She also informed me that they are capable of calling in your prescription if you don't have it on you when you're in the store. She gave me a tray to hold the glasses in and she kept just the right amount of distance where she wasn't missing when I had a question, but also wasn't breathing down my neck. I mean theres nothing worse then trying on a hideous pair of glasses, and having someone behind you say, "those look great!" After I picked out the glasses I wanted she took down my information and was very persistent in trying to get my prescription sent over ASAP. She sized the frames and assured me they would be ready in about an hour. (ended up being 30 minutes) When it came time to checkout, I asked her about the 30% off deal they were running. She assured me that I would pay less if I did it thru my insurance and even showed me both prices so I could see it for myself. She also told me always to ask because some companies accept both insurance and promotions in one transaction. She didn't try to rip me off either. She wasn't there when I left, but I wish I got to tell her thank you & that she was awesome! The service industry needs more people like her! read more

Nice selection of designer frames compared to the Edgewater and Willowbrook location. Also a lot bigger than other LensCrafters. I've remained loyal to LensCrafters for years and they never let me down. They help you choose which frames look better and always help you figure out if it's better to go with their sale or your insurance. Again, plenty of brands to choose from (as far as eyeglasses): D&G, Burberry, Prada, Tiffany, Bvlgari, Ray-bans, Versace and Cartier, just to name a few. The selection of designer sunglasses, though, wasn't too diverse. This location is a bit tricky to get to but they've got their own lot with plenty of parking. Because it's not located or attached to a major shopping center, it's bigger but makes it more difficult to stick around or stay close by while waiting for your glasses (usually an hour) to be ready. read more

I will never spend a dime in this place ever again. On top that I saved them lots of money from being robbed by pointing out someone who was stealing glasses they never even gave me thank you and didn't bother offering a discount on my daughters glass but to top it off I was told her glass would be ready in 7-10 business days it has been a month already with them giving me the run around and changing the day her glasses are due to arrive I called every week and the manager would leave me on hold 20-30 mins where I would have to hang up and call again very unprofessional!!!! needless to say I will be going today 10-20-2020 to get my full refund and taking my business elsewhere!!!! The lenses of my girlfriend's glasses had popped out and were being held together with wire. I called ahead to this location to ask about repairs, seeing as the glasses in question were not from lenscrafters. That was not a problem. We were in and out in about 10 minutes, and the man who repaired the glasses was very kind and even cracked a few jokes. Repaired! Free of charge! read more

Dr Pong and the techs were amazing! I have never before felt the tests and exams were as thorough as what I received today. The technician explained what the test was and clearly instructed me. Dr Pong took her time, asked many questions and made sure I understood everything throughout the process. I was comfortable and confident I received the best possible results from her exam. After he lost his glasses in the ocean today we came in there at 5pm and at first you said it wasn't possible to get glasses by tonight since you close at 5:30. But when you saw the look on our face you took us in and looked up his prescription and said you would try your best. We walked out of there with 3 minutes to spare (5:27) and a new pair of glasses!! If I could give them a zero, I would. Made an appointment for 1:30 for an eye exam and arrived early. People were entering the store (with masks on) but even with a mask I had to wait outside to be signed? in. If there's a separate entrance for the exam, I didn't see it. The doctor's assistant finally agreed to let me enter the store after I asked if I couldn't come in because it was hot outside. She asked me a few questions, fever, sore throat, etc and I told her that I do cough at times and use an inhaler because I have COPD, not the virus. She came back and asked if I could come back another time and when I said no, she said it's because of my COPD. Now COPD is not contagious, but supposedly the Dr. was concerned about my health. Really. He can't "catch" my COPD, I had a mask on, supposedly their following all sanitary guidelines, so what's the problem. People with COPD, asthma, etc. use inhalers and yes some of us need glasses. I can "worry" about my health, thank you very much, I don't need an eye doctor diagnosing my physical health. I have a medical doctor who I see for medical problems, but not for an eye exam or glasses. So needless to say, I still need glasses and if it's 1, 2 years before we get a vacine Lenscrafters would have me walking around and driving blind as a bat because they're "worried" that I'll catch something from their safe, sanitized store. Maybe Pearl Vision would be willing to give me an exam, and let me buy new glasses. read more

What a ripoff. I went into this location because I had received a coupon for my birthday for free sunglass lens if I purchased a frame for $129.95 or more. Good deal I thought. However, when I got there, the sales person told me that I couldn't use the lenses that I would have received for free. He said that they were plastic (OK), but since I already had Varilux lenses, he definitely would not recommend them. OK. So I asked if there were another promotions. He went and checked and came back with another promotion. With the frames (which were actually $160.) and the lenses, the cost came to $385. Too much for me for sunglasses, so I told him I would look for a cheaper frame. He said that sounded like a good idea. Found a frame that was $90. So, the cost should have come down $70. Still more than I planned on paying, but was better than $385. He put the order together and the price only came down $11. Not according to my math. However, because I chose a cheaper frame, I couldn't get the promotion that he originally priced it at. I thought about and said oh well, I will go for the $385. He went to check one more time and discovered that I had to have anti-reflective lenses. Can't understand why that would be on sunglasses, especially since I didn't want anti-reflective, but according to him I had to have them. So, now the price went up another $99. So, I went in thinking I was going to spend about $150.00 and I walked out after he told me the total price would be $484.00. Don't understand why lens crafter would send me a coupon I couldn't use and then would charge more for lenses because I was putting them in a cheaper frame. I said no way and walked out.
