Save your Sunday!! I went to the mall on Sunday to get glasses;I got there as soon as the mall opened and beelined into LensCrafters in order to be the first customer. My thought was quick in and out.. I didn't walk out with my new glasses until 6pm. I literally Spent my whole Sunday getting jerked around. The Script wasn't ready, they sized my glasses earlier to save time but my profile "forgot to be saved", I was told I had to wait an hour + for the glasses- which was fine, but after waiting an hour they still weren't ready! Don't let this happen to you--- just go somewhere else and save a Sunday and sanity! read more

Had an awful experience at this location. I had broken frames that needed immediate repair on account I'm blind without my glasses. I went in and spoke with a sales woman with short gray hair and she was un helpful, and unwilling to help someone in need. I was even willingly to get a whole exam and glasses without any insurance. She was dismissive and made me feel completely un welcomed by refusing me service. I was able to see an optometrist in the stratford Walmart and was able to get a repair. I went there to get Rx glasses since they are in-network under my insurance. Since both ladies, who worked the glasses department, looked somewhat busy, I decided to browse around to minimize my time there. One lady came up to tell me to put the glasses that I tried on in special trays so they can sanitize (seemed reasonable) afterwards. But then both ladies ignored me the entire time...even after all the customers left. Yet, when a white male walked in from the mall, they greeted him right away and asked if he needed any help. Never once did they ask if I needed any help. I was there to quickly grab an annually covered pair of Rx glasses. If the experience was decent, I would've grabbed glasses there for my kids as well. But now, I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was in desperate need of an contact prescription so I came here worst mistake ever ! I was forced in to contacts with astigmatism which was an up charge. The contacts hurt my eyes and gives me a headache. I informed them about what was happening, and was told I need to pay for a new exam. Shady place will never go back! read more

While the salespeople are friendly and courteous, the service is terrible. I paid $800 for a pair of glasses and was told they would take a week because some new kind of lens they talked me into buying had to be done offsite. Then after that week they told me it was actually two weeks and my glasses would be ready on a specific Monday. I called on that Monday only to be told they don't get shipments into their store on Mondays. Typical big chain tell-the-customer-anything-to-get-their-money. Arrived at 10:10 for a ten am appointment and they refused to see me. I called on my way to say I was running behind and girl at front desk said it was fine. When I got there guy at front desk was cold and pedantic and said they could not squeeze me in at all. And yet the last time I was here they were twenty minutes late to call me in. read more

Wow, you would think that because this place is a chain store that they would be good at their job. I walk in, there are only two persons working and they were with customers which is fine and I wait at the desk for 20 minutes. Not once did one of the employees tell me how long the wait is going to be/someone will be with me/sorry for the wait/etc. So I ask. I get an eye roll, a sigh, and an exasperated, "Keep waiting Mam', we will get to you eventually." RUDE! When they finally get to me I asked about the glasses my mom ordered and they tell me there that the order was delayed because they were out of the frame. So even though they told me to be there on that specific day, they neglected to call me to let me know it was going to take longer, thus wasting an entire trip. read more

Terrible customer service. I would never, ever buy from LensCrafters again. They lost 5 customers. Spent $400- $500 on my husband's glasses I was told that if anything happened to them that they would be replaced. The glasses never held their shape had to go back for refitting, we told them he wasn't happy with them and couldnt see well driving, but no remedy was offered and he just dealt with them. Then in no more than four months they were lost. Had they been effective and useful he probably would of had them on his face. They were lost, maybe they flew off the car dashboard, who knows, but I was told that I needed to have some piece of the glasses otherwise they couldn't replace them. Word not honored. read more

Sue and Stacey - Lenscrafters' Dynamic Duo The staff at Lenscrafters in the Westflied Mall in Trumbull are wonderful. Everyone at the store was attentive and helpful, despite the fact that we were there on a busy Saturday afternoon. The optician and the sales consultant who assisted us, Sue and Stacey, were exceptional. They were efficient, conscientious and very knowledgeable. It was clear that providing us with the perfect pair of glasses was a personal mission for them. They exemplify professionalism and customer service. The fact that they both have a great sense of humor was a bonus. read more

The optometrist's office with Dr. Drobeck is excellent. I highly recommend him for contact lenses. If a problem occurs on a weekend, it's nice to know their office is open! Drew, the office manager, is a pleasure to work with. read more

Made an appointment here, was ten minutes late, and when I showed up I had to ask three different people about my appointment. Finally I was told my appointment had been given away because I was "so late" and hadn't called to say I was coming, even though I'd just confirmed the appointment the night before. The worst customer service ever! They charged me an arm and a leg and then did not make the glasses right. When I complained they were extremely rude, lied, and made me go back to my Eye Doctor; and still would not accept their fault. It is rare today to find people in the retail workforce who go above and beyond unless you are spending a fortune. Well yesterday I found that good salesmanship is still alive and well at LensCrafters in Trumbull. After I finished my eye exam, I needed to get new glasses as I had cataract surgery x 2 over 2 months ago. I also had different insurance from the previous visit there and fortunately the woman Nicole I was working with had the patience to research my benefits. She discovered my plan was great and as I only gotten my glasses 4 months prior and I loved the frames we decided that lenses was all I needed. She did not change her gracious attitude because I would be buying less and even went a step farther when my new eye prescription had a discrepancy. She immediately consulted the doctor and had me try on different reading prescriptions to make sure I got exactly what I needed. He even came out to confirm adjustments. I have to say that she went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I needed and she could not have been more accommodating and this made for a very pleasant experience. It is refreshing nowadays to find someone who cares about what they do and will go the extra mile for their clientele. My faith is truly restored that there are still people out there who put the customer first. Thank you Nicole for treating me like a human. read more

If I could give this place less than one star I would. My problem was a Medicare issue, where Medicare would partially pay for new glasses after cataract surgery (5/17). They told me that they were enrolled, I needed to pay up front but they would submit the paperwork to Medicare. Middle of September, nothing, so I call them up, mistake on their part, but it was fixed. Jan 18, nothing, so now I start a appeal, submitting my paperwork directly to Medicare. I went down in March to LC, I'm still waiting on them to get back to me. I filed a appeal with Medicare after speaking to a woman with Medicare, submitted all my paperwork, hi-liteing LC's bill stating they were Medicare approved. It worked, received a 80% check towards basic glasses, then contacted my secondary insurance and they will pay me the 20%. Bottom line, LC's customer service is one of the worst that I have ever had to deal with, nothing but a group of 'bottom feeders' - don't waste your time going there, unless you want 'lip' service. Just to keep the review up to date, I finally got my check from my secondary insurance, over a year wait because Lenscrafters didn't do their job and file the Medicare paperwork. read more
