I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough!

It lasted a total of 9 minutes! And my vision is 20/15 across the board. My eyesight was -5.5 in both eyes and I had astigmatism, I had been a glasses wearer my entire life. There's nothing like waking up everyday and being able to see unassisted. If you're doubting doing the procedure, just do it! Only thing I would say is give yourself a day or two off from work after the procedure to rest your eyes and be sure to take your eye drops every couple of hours as they recommend. They say you can go to work the next day, but don't. I worked the very next day after my procedure and my eyes were quite tired. I do have to look at a computer screen for most of my work so there's the caveat there. I have no regrets about this procedure and you won't either!

Not only had my vision regressed from my great results, but I developed cataracts. Dr. Modi told me the light adjustable lens was the only way to get me back to my original great results. Although it is a process, the results could not be better. I never anticipated the quality of vision this implant gave me! I was fine with just getting the cataracts resolved never expecting the wonderful acuity Dr. Modi gave me with this amazing adjustable lens! I had an eye exam in Nov 2025 and was given a stronger prescription for progressive lenses. I…read moreordered new glasses from Pearl Vision and have not been able to adapt to the new script. I went back to PV twice and they suggested returning to Modern Focus as the lenses matched the script. The Dr at MF said my vision changed and gave me less of a correction. I feel her 11/25 script was inaccurate but she said no and charge me $60 for the new one because I didn't buy glasses there. What a rip off! PV is making my new lenses for free. Now that's good customer service. Oh, and I was the doctor's first appt of the day and she arrived 15 minutes late to work. Like my time isn't worth anything? Needless to say, I canceled my next exam. I went to Dr Gould for years and always received excellent care and customer service. MF could use a little training on both areas.
