I walked in and I was attended right away . They gave me choices and had my lenses crafted exactly how I wanted them ! My glasses were ready the next day which was the best part I didn't have to wait a long time . Very fast and friendly service. My glasses were done in exactly an hour which is incredibly fast considering that most optometry offices usually take two weeks. Steve helped us and I liked the fact that he gave us price breakdowns without the feeling that he was up selling. They have a great variety of frames. I wish I could give this location a lower rating but 1 star will do. Purchased my $390 eyeglasses and came back to buy a $459 sunglasses. Put it on hold to compare prices at Macy's. When I came back, they said they had sold it to another customer. They sold it to another customer because I was going to use my AAA card to get an additional discount. I was so upset that I just left and bought it somewhere else. A months later, my eyeglass screw on the right corner of the frame broke. Came back to get it fix and they said they will have it fix but I have to come back in an hour. I did only to find out that they couldn't fix it. They told me to go across to a jewelry repair shop and they will fix it for you. The jewelry shop took 2 minutes to take off the screw and put another one for $15. How can a giant corporation such as Lenscrafter make new frames and customer made lens but coudn't take out a screw. I wasted one hour of my time with no apologies from any of the employees. I complained to Jen "the manager" who I dealt with in the beginning, her comment was..." I didn't tell you we could do it, I said we would try to do it for you. It was your choice to stay for an hour not ours. If you want you can buy another frame." Why would I buy anything from Lenscrafter again when they can't even fix a broken screw? Worst customer service ever. Stay away from this location. They are only nice to customlers when they are earning profits. read more

I, for the life of me, can not understand why there are negative reviews on this place! I've been there about 3 different times as I was deciding where to go to get my newest pair of glasses. After going to other places in town which completely blew me off and made me feel like a criminal as soon as I stepped foot into their not-so-high-end establishments (see my other reviews) I went back to LensCrafters after having a good feeling from my 2 previous visits there to browse. I am so sorry now that I didn't get this young mans name, but the guy who helped us was SO friendly and nice! I loved giving him my money! (Imagine that!) And even though the prices are just a tad on the higher side, if you have a AAA card, you get a MAJOR discount which saved me over 200 bucks! And the positive experience I had there makes up for the cost of the lenses ten fold! I have had nothing but positive experiences with this store and I definately plan on going back as long as I live here in the SCV! read more

Everything you have heard about LensCRAPers is true. Bought a pair of Burberry glasses. It came with a "free" protection plan. 5 months later, scratch on the inside of one lens. Took it back and they said it would be $100 to repair. I asked what good is a protection plan if it doesn't protect anything. Horrible, horrible policy, disengaged staff, I will never step foot in a LensCrafters again and you shouldn't either. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! I am VERY dissatisfied with my 1st and FINAL visit to a lens crafters store. When I ordered my glasses in store they said it would take no longer than a week to receive my glasses. I had called a day before the one week mark to be spoken to very rudely by a woman over the phone that said my glasses were not there and hung up. I went out of my way to go the store to ask if my glasses were there the following day. Exactly one week from my visit. The representative rummaged through a box of glasses to tell me mine were not there. Upon checking her iPad she noticed the glasses were delivered a DAY AFTER my appointment but had YET to be received by the employees. She advised me my glasses would be ready in 30 minutes. I came back to find out they had ordered a COMPLETELY wrong pair. The representative told me my glasses would be delivered in less than a week since they are only ordering the frame. I called 3 days later (today) come to find out that my glasses will be in mid next week. Meaning I will have to wait 2 weeks to get my glasses! The lack of professionalism and lack of management is UNBELIEVABLE. I work at the mall as well and will definitely be telling plenty of my customers to never visit lens crafters. I could've gone to my regular optometrist and had my glasses in less than a week PERIOD. But I decided to try lens crafters because I assumed they were professional. I've come here for eye exams and glasses the last few years. It's always been OK, but this last time was pretty bad. The doctor spent maybe 5 minutes with me and at the end concluded my prescription had changed significantly. When I commented on the big change, because I hadn't noticed anything wrong with my previous prescription, he basically told me that's what I get for not having my eyes checked for several years. The staff was friendly when I was choosing frames and paying for my new glasses, but once I got them and told them there was a problem with them that friendliness went away. I could not see clearly out of my glasses. I felt like I was walking around with a pair of binnoculars attached to my head. They made me nauseous and dizzy whenever I wore them. They told me I needed to give it a couple of weeks to adjust to the new prescription, but it was affecting my work so I couldn't give it that long. I called and asked about getting my glasses changed. They said I could come in that afternoon and they had plenty of openings for me. I came explained my problem again the the person at the desk. She said I needed to wait longer to adjust to my prescription and was not wanting to let me see the doctor. I insisted, and she told me they didn't have any openings for me. When I told her I called earlier and that person said they had plenty. She said, well yeah we have lots of openings for new exams today, just not for rechecks. WHAT?? I insisted again, and she was like, well if the doctor agrees to see you, maybe we can fit you in. OK... So in the end a different doctor sees me, rechecks my eyes (again in 5 minutes) and apologizes profusely to me because the prescription they had been insisting I just needed to adjust to was completely wrong and she prescribed my old prescription back to me. Conclusion: crazy expensive and customer service is lacking. read more

I came in today to get my sunglasses repaired. The staff was friendly. And the best part was that they don't charge you to get them fixed- which is especially nice since I spent $300 on that one pair of sunglasses. My only complaint is that they told me to come back in 30 minutes. I came back and they still had not started on the repair. Nearly an hour later I came back and still had to wait five minutes. I don't mind waiting, but I'd prefer a more accurate estimate of time needed to repair my glasses. Great job anyway! read more

Had originally chosen glasses, got measurements and asked them to hold and I would call back in 2 days with cc info. Called back and they had dropped everything so my husband and I went to the northridge LensCrafters. His two pair of glasses were fine. I had trouble seeing out of the left lens of my one pair. I went to the Valencia office for assistance. They asked to verify my prescription so I had to get another copy from my dr(not easy-they would only mail it to me). I bring the prescription back with the glasses and they verify it. Said lens was done correctly, I needed an eye recheck from my dr. I get the recheck-the original prescription is correct. I go again and tell them this. They start holding up lenses to the glasses saying the prescription is wrong. I said I can't use these glasses with the left lens like this-it is wrong. They say no. I said I wanted to return them. They said I couldn't at their office because I didn't have the original receipt(they had printed the receipt from their computer several times and it had been two weeks since I picked them up). They said I had to go to where I bought them. I went to the northridge store and they returned them-the northridge store said Valencia should have returned them for me. So much for 30 day unconditional guarantee, not to mention 6 trips when 2 should have done it.... read more

I just got back from Lenscrafters to get a copy of my eye exam so that I could order Dailies contacts. I was told to see the Dr which I did. $55 cost... fine.... He looked at my eyes and came back in with BiFocal contacts. I thought, "OK, this looks GOOD." Waiting to get my sizes for daily contacts and be on my way. No such luck!!!! Not only did he put BiFocal contacts in he didn't offer the daily contacts. I wanted to use Dailies and I thought I could get them on the internet. The manager said the cost is $95 because of BiFocals. I DID NOT WANT THEM UNLESS THEY WERE DAILIES. DID ANYONE HEAR ME??? I call this up selling.... Unprofessional. At least these people get service! I'm an older woman who is apparently invisible when I go into LensCrafters. The only time I ever get service is when my husband is with me! I've stopped employees just standing in the center of the store and asked them for help, and they tell me they will be right with me. 20 minutes later, they are still chatting to each other. I've left that store so many times in utter frustration, after waiting over 30 minutes without help. My money seems to work elsewhere, but please, don't anyone get old and try to get glasses at this place! read more

I have been a loyal customer to Lens Crafters for over 30 years. A year and a half ago I went in to the Valencia store for a new prescription and glasses. The prescription was wrong and had to go in for another exam and new lenses. The frames never fit correctly and I spent hours adjusting them as they were unable to make them comfortable. After three months the film started coming off on the left lens only, I used the cleaning solution and towel I paid for on both lenses. They replaced the lenses and told me it was a bad batch of film. Over the course of the next year the film came off on the left lens only three more times. The manager was arrogant, rude, condescending and treated me like a burden and inconvenience. Never once did anyone in the store say they were sorry for all the inconvenience I went through.. She tried to build a case I was cleaning them wrong, if that was true why was it only the left lens and I cleaned them with their products. She also insisted the film had come off twice when in fact it came off three times. I asked for a refund and she told me they were out of warranty and therefore I wasn't eligible. I finally went to Sam's Club where I was treated like a customer and bought superior new glasses and frames for half the price Lens Crafters charged me. Lens Crafters business model of charging high prices for shoddy materials, workmanship and abysmal costumer service is a formula for bankruptcy. In talking with friends they have also had horrible experiences at Lens Crafters. Please stay away from Lens Crafters as there will be a very special place in business hell for the Executive Team and all the horrible managers that treat customers like human garbage. Valencia Town Center Lens Crafters needs to be closed. The staff aren't professional and the customer service is horrible. If you take your prescription to this office, you will have an issue. When your glasses comeback from the lab and try them on to make sure the prescription is correct. If you can't see correctly or your vision is impaired. The first statement they're staff will tell you,"Your Doctor probably wrote the prescription incorrectly, so you need to have your doctor write you another prescription." Why should a customer go back to their doctor, when Lens Crafters should have made sure the prescription was correct? They don't want to refund your money for the defective glasses. It's ridiculous that consumers have to deal with a company and its shady practices. No one has hundreds of dollars, just to give away. If anyone reading this had a bad customer service experience and the company is giving you the run around. Contact the Better Business Bureau immediately, so Lens Crafters can be held accountable for shady business practices. I will never refer anyone to this company. There are more professional opticians with great customer service and professional staff. If you have your own eye doctor, ask for referrals they trust. read more

Each time we visit this store, it takes over an hour to be seen, even with an appointment. This has happened four times now. No exaggeration. My daughter merely needed to try on new contacts on this last trip. She put the new contacts in at 6pm and it's now 6:45 and the doctor still hasn't seen her after we complained twice. DON'T COME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE AT LEAST AN HOUR OR TWO WASTE THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK. Poor customer service. read more

Sarah was very helpful in getting my frames picked out and completing the transaction. All the ladies that work there were pleasant. The worst experience ever .They have no idea what they are doing .The girl who did the first part of the exam almost poked me in the eye twice while doing the air puff exam .The doctor had to redo it at the end of his exam .Then I picked out my frame because the doctor wanted me to have night glasses along with my reading glasses .So I sat down to find out how much everything was with insurance .Now I'm no math wiz but if insurance covers 130 for frames and standard lenses are free and the frames I picked out are 160 how in the heck does my glasses cost me $174?Now onto the other glasses I used my same frame and they still tried to charge me another $125 what?How? I called and the general manager and she was completely rude she has no business being in management .I will never buy anything from them ever !!! read more

I went there yesterday for an eye exam. My appointment was at 1:40. I was taken right back. The manager Jen that did my testing was so nice and explained everything along the way. Once I went in with the doctor, it was the same. Dr. Wong was so nice and explained everything to me. He told me that I needed reading glasses and I went right out and picked my frames. Dr. Wong is great over at LensCrafters. However the staff there is rude, I was there almost 2 hours and when it came time to purchase a pair of glasses. they did not have anyone who helps you there. Its all about the $$. The sales people in the office are rude. One sales rep, was helping me for a minute telling me I needed all of this stuff and I said wait that is not what the Dr. Wong said. she said be back and went to help someone else and another person came down to help me. Now if you don't think this is poor customer service what does. I really think Corporate needs to take these reviews serious and make some changes. I will never go back to Lens crafters. they only think I liked was the selection of their glasses but defiantly not worth poor customer service. I cancelled and left - and only at that point was I advised that I was next in line for pre-screening - there would be an additional delay to see the doctor. I said no thanks and left. She displayed extreme anxiety when we inquired about finding an available time that day and was visibly relieved when I said "It's OK, we'll go somewhere else". Rating wait time -- I walked out after 45 minutes of sitting, I wasn't even in the process of an appointment/exam. If you don't care about professionalism, customer service, common courtesy, a LONG unproductive wait time and have absolutely nothing better to do with your time-- make an appointment here. They were "too busy" talking, looking for a lost order or filing to make eye contact to let them know that I was leaving. I walked out. NOW, if you want to be treated like a respected customer, drive to the Thousand Oaks facility on Moorpark Road which is what I did yesterday. I had a wonderful experience all around and it was worth the drive! I'm glad I gave the company another chance (by recommendation of a family member living in Thousand Oaks). Absolutely the most insensitive people I have ever dealt with. I'm on vacation and and one of my contacts rips. I call the local shop and they say they need my information from my home lenscrafters. I call this store and they tell me to have this location contact them. First of all all I need is one contact for one eye. They send me aroun in circles and when they don't call me back I finally call them and find that I can't even get a replacement for one eye until I get back home because my prescription is up and my doctor is on maternity leave. My doctor being a male... Is not entitled to maternity leave so they lied to me... Did not replace my contact, and thu lost a customer for life. When it comes to sight, I was under the impression that lenscrafters would be sympathetic. But not only did they not do anything to help my situation, they lied to my face. If you want to get lied to, go to lenscrafters... Thanks for ruining my vacation. You will not be receiving my business nor my recommendation ever again.. read more
