I would normally get whatever deal the Wendy's next door is running. But I wandered in with an appetite and solved my problem with a tastier option. The Chickavo has grilled chicken, avocado, mesclun, red peppers and ranch. I picked the ciabatta bread. While I do not eat peppers, they gladly substituted tomatoes. I did not notice any ranch, but I hate it anyway so it worked out fine. I was able to watch NY1 on an overhead TV while savoring each bite. When you get to the fork in the road, take it. What a complete disappointment. I've seen Lenwich as a popular sandwich shop on Instagram and have always wanted to try it. I'm in NYC this week for a training class and saw that a location was two blocks away. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and an order of fries. It took approximately 25 minutes for them to realize they never put any fries in the fryer. After another 10 minutes I asked for my wrap so I can start eating with my co-workers due to having a limited time for lunch. After seating down, I unwrapped my food to find out it was completely the wrong order. When I went back up to the counter to speak with the store clerk, she could care less and blamed a customer for this mistake occurring. But failed to realize that my order number was rubber banded around the wrap. After asking her several times how long this would take and if I could speak to her manager, she completely ignored me and would not look at me. After waiting another 5 minutes with her completely ignoring me I asked for a total refund of my food. What a terrible experience and I will never go back!!! During lunch time it is pretty packed but they do move fast. The only negative I have is that it is a bit expensive. FIX HOURS SIGNAGE Love, love, LOVE the chopped caesar with breaded chicken. Addicted, more like. But--the signage on certain locations needs some desperate fixing, which is why I'm giving three stars, most specifically today, a Tuesday, for the location on 56th and 8th in Midtown. Earlier in the day I had walked past the shop with the intention of coming back for two of my favorite salads for dinner later. It's unfortunate that I didn't take a picture of the sign, but I remember distinctly that the label listing the store's hours had Monday through Friday as open until 7 PM, and 4 PM only on either Saturday or Sunday, not sure which but hours are (supposedly, might the sign actually be correct for weekends unlike weekdays) different for both days. So, seeing earlier the list saying, for a Tuesday, the shop was open until 7 PM, I returned to get the salads and was turned away. When I left the shop, I re-checked the hours outside and, yup, "open until 7 PM". I am less upset by the fact that the shop had closed and turned me away than I am for the signage outside being majorly incorrect, and because of that I am 100 percent certain it happens a lot. It seems to me the stickers made for listing the hours are the same for all locations, meaning that they are only correct for a couple of locations. side note: I later checked (amidst writing this review) google maps which did indeed say "closes at 4 PM", so I will admit to that error of mine, but what's the use of that for the people whose only access to store hours are the signage at the actual location?? Was craving a turkey club and found this sandwich spot nearby on Yelp. After checking the menu, I decided to skip the turkey and try their grilled chicken sandwich. It was delicious!! Has grilled chicken, lettuce, melted mozzarella, roasted pepper, and grilled onions (which I took off). Service was about 5-10 minutes and the staff was friendly. Came here with mom around almost 4pm for late lunch/early dinner. Mom ordered the Thanksgiving on a roll and I got the Lenwich. After paying, the cashier informed us that they ran out of fresh oven roasted turkey for the Thanksgiving sandwich. Mom was a bit disappointed but got regular turkey in replacement. Funny thing was that we were the last customers since it was a Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving to be exact. So other customers got told that the shop is closed.
