    Chicken Caesar Wrap
    Molly O.

The chicken Cesar wrap is the best I have ever had in my entire life. The chicken is flavorful, the salad is delicious, and the croutons are small and crunchy. The servers were friendly, and my wrap was made quickly. It was about 15$ which I feel like is a solid price for this spectacular wrap.

Lenwich is one of those places that just hits every time you go. The sandwichs are prepared well and all ingredients are fresh. The veggie-wich was lovely. Light and healthy and doesn't fall apart when eating it. The steak sandwich was prepared nicely. Not chewy like some steak sandwiches. So good. The fries with blue cheese sauce were decent. The fries were nice but blue cheese sauce was funky. It needed some heat and with hot sauce it worked. Great prices and portions! Will be back.

    Chickavo

Lenwich is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Their lone offer is the Chickavo sandwich at 35% off, from $14 to $9.10. A solid lunch sandwich on a deal will always win votes. I would normally get whatever deal the Wendy's next door is running. But I wandered in with an appetite and solved my problem with a tastier option. The Chickavo has grilled chicken, avocado, mesclun, red peppers and ranch. I picked the ciabatta bread. While I do not eat peppers, they gladly substituted tomatoes. I did not notice any ranch, but I hate it anyway so it worked out fine. I was able to watch NY1 on an overhead TV while savoring each bite. When you get to the fork in the road, take it. But skip the fork entirely and enjoy a superb sandwich.

At this point, I'm just quality checking every Lenwich location: I am in love!!! Freshest ingredients, chopped to create perfect bites, and overall a reliable healthy option with so many options!

Tuna Dijon Sandwich on a wrap
    Tommi A.

Not exactly what I was hoping from this renowned sandwich shop. I ordered the Tuna Dijon and it was a let down, especially for the price I paid $12. The Tuna was almost Subway quality. The sprouts weren't fresh. The other ingredients weren't quality. I asked for it on a wrap and the sandwich maker was putting in on sandwich bread so I did have to interject to correct that. The only positive was the size of the wrap. The wrap was quite large, but definitely the ingredients were lacking in freshness and quality. **I did appreciate that with the sandwich they offered hand sanitizer. That's super helpful when you're on the go now a day's and just need a quick bite.

That cut is beauitful Cracked pepper turkey sandwich
    Cynthia R.

Came in for lunch because I was in the mood for a turkey sandwich on a roll. I ordered the Cracked pepper turkey sandwich and it was really really good. I am definitely a fan. During lunch time it is pretty packed but they do move fast. The only negative I have is that it is a bit expensive. I am so use to getting a cracked pepper turkey sandwich on a roll from my local deli for about $3 or $4 but here it is $9.79 and it does not include a drink or chips. I will definitely come back again because it really tasted delicious.

    "chicken baja bowl"

The service was fine but I ordered the CHICKEN Baja bowl and my bowl literally has no chicken at all. Either they gave me the wrong bowl or straight up forgot it. I will not be coming back because the bowl I got for what I paid was not worth it. I could have gone to Chipotle on the block right next to it and gotten a way better bowl with actual chicken.

I would give this 3.5 stars because service was fine and it was clean inside (although smells funny inside). My salad was enjoyable and I LOVE sweets but there was an unacceptable amount of dried cherries on my salad. I ordered the Jurassic without any alterations and look how many extra dried cranberries I had! I ate many of them this was just what is leftover. That can't be healthy and I hope others aren't receiving these portions.

I was pleasantly…read moresurprised to find out they had a location in New York City, so I obviously had to give it a try. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The menu inside breaks down all of the sandwhiches, you roll up to the deli counter when they say next, spill out your order (add/remove stuff to your order) and you're done. The most overwhelming thing is deciphering the Italian sandwhich menu. I hit up the Italian Hot. Pretty decent! I added sun dried tomatoes...but it would have been just as good without it. Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

The soup dumplings were actually quite large, but the spring rolls are pretty small. Came out to over 20 bucks, which is reasonable but more than it was. A stirfry noodle dish is like $25 now! On that note, it's really nice inside and fun to sit at the "bar" and watch them make the dumplings. A great option if you're in the area and have a craving!

Why they hid it all the way in the back, I have my assumptions and suspicions. I had to get an order of soup dumplings here so I got the Crab Soup Dumplings ($15). The skin is a bit thicker than other spots, but that means the skin ain't going to break on you easily. And do be careful how you bite into it, as the first one I bit into, the soup splattered all over my shirt and pants. Overall tasted great. Soup dumplings was not going to fill me up along, so I got something off of their lunch menu and settled upon Orange Chicken w Brown Rice ($18.50). Chicken was white meat, which is battered and deep fried. It says it was spicy, but it really wasn't. Comes with a vegetable spring roll and a choice of rice, which makes this a pretty decent lunch deal for $20. Menu prices are cash prices. If you pay with a credit card, they will slap a 2% processing fee. Overall, service was pretty decent as well. Would come back again for lunch.

We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
