    La paradise with arugula
    Ivy T.

One of the best sandwiches I've had. So simple but the ingredients were fresh and the bread was amazing. I got the La Paradiso (mortadella and pistachio cream) with arugula and it was delicious. That pistachio cream is delicious. It's pretty expensive for a sandwich, but it was honestly big enough for two portions

They finally opened an All'Antico Vinaio at Grand Central and I was so excited to try it. As soon as I looked at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted, La Paradiso! I mean, who doesn't love mortadella?!?! The stracciatella cheese was insanely creamy and paired perfectly with the pistachio cream. Match made in heaven! My only complaint is that the mortadella was sliced super thin. It looked like a lot, but once you bite in it, you realize there's not much there... For $18, I expected a bit more. That said, the sandwich is huge. I could only finish half and had to save the rest for later. Definitely heavy, super filling, and carby in the best way. I'd go back to try more of their sandwich options for sure.

I stopped by a small sandwich and wine spot near my job, and it was a great find. I ordered the Lamb-tastic which had roasted lamb, arugula, marinated peppers, and pecorino cream, and it was every bit as good as it looked on the display board. Flavorful and filling. My colleagues tried other sandwiches (two even split one because they're huge), and we all agreed the bread was amazing, it really made the sandwich. Between the quality, portion size, and cozy wine bar vibe, I'll definitely be back.

Yayyyyyy so so so happy to finally have an All'Antico Vinaio location by my office, and today is the grand opening! The sandwiches are incredible and big enough to share or split into two meals for yourself or with another person. Every sandwich comes on fresh baked schiacciata bread which is a Tuscan flatbread, similar to focaccia, but thinner and slightly chewier. My absolute favorite AV sandwich, and what I ordered today, is the La Paradiso which includes mortadella (I once heard this - outside of AV - referred to as grown up bologna which may be why I love it so much), stracciatella, pistachio cream, and pistachio. The combination of flavors is incredible. I noticed on the sandwich counter, several additional sandwiches not listed on the regular menu so will have to check those out. Not sure if they're seasonal or not. For a grand opening, which was not publicly announced from what I could tell, it was quick and efficient. I was in and out in less than 10 min even with the line just out the door. A perfect lunchtime escape from the office as sometimes other lunch spot lines can take significantly longer. In addition to sandwiches they also sell drinks including wine, beer, soda, Italian soda, tea, various coffee drinks, and still or sparkling water. I noticed they sell an affogato which I will have to try one of these days. I'd love if they sold chips but it's also not necessary. One sandwich is more than enough for a meal. Honestly if I split one sandwich into two meals then had a bag of chips that would really hit the spot. There is also a good amount of counter style seating along the side wall and front window if you want to eat in. Welcome to the neighborhood, All'Antico Vinaio!

Super quick convenient service which is nice during a busy work week. The broadway was a good sandwich. Very pistachio forward flavor. Wish the straciatella was creamier. Liked the arugula and sun-dried tomato. The bread was my favorite part. Also the sandwich was huge you can definitely share one.

I got the Diavolo sandwhich; I think it was one of their specialties. The ingredients were very fresh and the sando was HUGE. They do have a lot of options but I wasn't absolutely taken away where I need to come back. It's a solid choice if you're looking for this kind of sando though. Not gonna lie I thought the bread was a little hard but it wasn't a deal breaker. Service was fast and efficient and the inside was cute.

Half of a rather small and bland $20 sandwich

I had heard a lot of good things about this place online, but was disappointed by both the food quality and some aspects of the service. I ordered a La Paradiso sandwich, which contained cream and pistachio pesto. The bread was crunchy, but the ingredients were rather bland; the cream and pistachio pesto could barely be tasted against the bread and meat. Something peculiar happened with respect to service. I asked for a cup of water, which an employee gave, but I was told that their usual policy is to charge for water. I then overheard some employees say that the free water was just for legal compliance, and only meant for people who don't have money. Another said, "Isn't that water infected?" "Yeah" "So he'll get sick later?" "Yeah." (Seriously, you can't make this up.) In summary, the sandwich was okay but overpriced at $20 given its blandness. Ambiance consisted of white walls and bright fluorescent lights. The service was remarkably unprofessional in the way just described.

I was really excited to see this place open up just outside of Grand Central just to have a good takeout train meal option, but I had the most disappointingly bland sandwich here for lunch yesterday. The La Summer tasted like bread, bland grocery store mozzarella, and pretty much nothing else. My husband's first reaction was "did they forgot an ingredient?" He was bewildered that a sandwich with these ingredients could taste so flavorless. I think the bread is great but either needs to be thinner or the fillings inside need to be more generous. That or they need to be more generous with the olive oil, salt, and and pepper. We've had similar sandwiches all over Italy and Croatia over the years, and they've all been much better. I'm not sure what was lost in translation when they moved this overseas. I'm willing to give this place another shot since maybe I just ordered the wrong sandwich but beware--don't order the La Summer!

The best. Worth the hype. So happy they opened here. Probably the best sandwich in NYC.

I got the La Paradiso since I love pistachios. The sandwich was about $20 but pretty good since it does feed 2 people or can have it as a second meal. Ingredients were super fresh tasting (Mortadella (meat was not too salty), stracciatella (no sour/diary after taste) , pistachio cream, pistachio). Employees were nice and very efficient. I went on the weekend around noon and only a few people were there, but I heard it does get busy on the weekends with the offices in the area. There were a few bar stools around the sides of the wall.

We sat on the patio, which was perfect for a summer day. We enjoyed everything we ate and were genuinely left wanting more by the end of the meal. *Cast Iron Focaccia: Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The tomato conserva alongside it was delicious. *Mortadella con Pistacchio: Simple and well executed. Great mortadella. *Escarole: Reminded me of a Caesar salad. The leaves were crisp and generously dressed, which I loved. *Braised Beans: I generally do not love beans, but I loved this dish. It felt like a hearty, comforting bean stew. *Rigatoni Alla Gricia: My favorite dish of the night. Rich and creamy with salty guanciale and perfectly cooked pasta. *Roasted Half Chicken: Usually chicken is not something I get excited about at restaurants because it can be bland, dry, or both. This was one of the best restaurant chicken dishes I have ever had. It was perfectly moist, incredibly well seasoned, and felt like a thoughtfully composed dish rather than just a piece of chicken on a plate. Even the white meat was tender, and the skin was fantastic. The service was excellent throughout the meal. Combined with the beautiful setting and consistently strong food, it made for a memorable dining experience.

It's almost impossible for me to ever be happy with Italian food outside of Italy or home. WELL, Ci Siamo proved me WRONG and I'm so happy they did. We came here for a pre concert dinn dinn. Initially I thought we'd just get some drinks and apps and keep it moving. The dishes were jaw dropping and served with the prettiest details. We ordered the tagliatelle al sugo, orechiette with ramps, pistachio and pecorino and the snap peas with bulgur, asparagus and sunflour seeds. WOW WOW WOW The sugo was uncomplicatedly made come lo fa tua nonna. None of the heavy Italian American traditions. All so delicious adding their own twist. The orecchiette was such a creative dish but also so bright, colorful and so many different textures and flavors that to perfectly together. Portions were perfectly sized and we got to share and try everything. If we would've ordered apps it would've been too much. Got the Ci siamo martini (botanical to the core just how I like it!) and a rotating mezcal with aperol drink. Overall great place to dine in or come out with your friends. Be sure to make a resy!

WOW SO DELICIOUS!! hack to get a res is going for lunch lol…read more this meal was so yummy!! the perciatelli nero was bright, citrusy, and had an aftertaste of spicy (from the pepper i assume). the crab pieces were generous and buttery and the pasta seemed to be homemade and cooked al dente. very light and refreshing and the sauce was addicting. i think this pasta paired perfectly with the burger. definitely a heavier, decadent dish, but also surprisingly not too salty. the meat itself was fine but i thought the bun was so good especially since the bottom bun kinda absorbed the meat and cheese juice and the top bun stayed crispy and soft. potatoes on the side were fine. tbh i think this is the best meal ive had at an italian restaurant. and they gave us free gelato for my friend's birthday!!! great service, lots of seating (altho the tables were kinda sat pretty close together) and honestly a great place to catch up over a yummy meal.

They're so savory with a hint of spice and richness from the runny egg. 10/10! Mains: Garganelli, Cacio E Pepe, Roasted Carrots - all three of these dishes were incredible. The Garganelli had a rich mushroom ragu and the Cacio was perfectly rich and creamy. The carrots were a sleeper hit- the za'atar and pistachio put it over the top!
