I ordered 4 Chopt bowls for my team during the lunch rush. Oh my gosh, it was hectic. Food wise -- tasty, fresh, and filling. To get your order in person? That was rough. I placed the order at least 45 minutes early? I arrived at the time they listed, but it was actually ready 5 minutes after the arrival time. That's not the issue. The issue was trying to get the food when there were so many other people trying to retrieve their meal. This isn't one of those lines at those burrito places where you can see the person going step by step through the line to make your food. This was "hey we'll call your number out and put it on the shelf" so no point in going there and beginning your order in person. When I arrived, the 4 bowls were not on the shelf that they mentioned. There were at least 50 people in that room. You really had to hustle to get in front of the 1 employee who was individually putting each bowl on the shelves as they were ready. Yeah.. ONE. If I didn't say anything to the employee, I may not have gotten my food until at least half an hour later even though it was sitting in a large bag (since it was a larger order) in the back of the closed off kitchen. Piece of advice: don't order here during lunch hours unless you are willing to speak up. Food wise -- great! I got the Mediterranean bowl. It was light, filling, flavorful withe different sauces, and had plenty of protein. I will definitely try more bowls in the future. read more

First time trying their wrap instead of a salad. The spicy sonoma caesar wrap was solid. I ordered for pick up directly on their website and it was ready to be picked up when I got there (which took less than 10 minutes). The store was busy and there's a couple of kiosks available to order in person (no place to sit or eat though). The salads are placed on the shelf whereas the wraps or other items are placed in a bag which can be picked up by letting the staff know. I appreciate the generous portions Chopt offers compared to Just Salad. The ingredients are always fresh with great protein choices and a wide variety of toppings to customize your meal. While it is on the pricier side, the quality makes it worthwhile. I highly recommend getting the Smokey chipotle vinaigrette! It was amazing! However, this location tends to be extremely busy during lunch hours. Even though I placed an order in advance for pickup, it still wasn't ready when I arrived, and I had to wait longer than expected. :( read more

Chopt is what most American males are at an early age. What a nasty and painful practice. But it's not as bad as these salads. I'm not a fan of this salad chain at all. I think they have issues and by issues I don't mean in a good way. Or a Julia Michaels way which might even be better than the issues they do have. They charge you for toppings after the first few. Get real people. They give you very small portions at very high prices. Go away. There's salad often tastes a little dry or stale. Like why am I stale eating this? Stale Kale may rhyme but IT SUCKS. Their dressings are vinegarier than a tub of sulphuric acid in an Albanian mafia basement dissolving some informants. Their employees are usually not so friendly. So all in all it's just a bad salad company which is ironic since it was the very first of its kind and so many others have copied this business model. I order from them often and feel like mistakes are made very seldom and it's usually simple enough like forgetting an ingredient, so the salad still turns out good. They have a pretty good rewards system especially if you order from them often. This place used to be a regular go to for me years ago. But since covid, might be the most lifeless fast casual spot in the city. Went to bryant park and got a salad. They only included one baby cup of dressing so I went to ask for another side. Instead of assisting, the staff member insisted I pay 79 cents for it. Who can dress an entire salad with one cup! Bought the cup and returned to eat but only to be further disappointed with a bowl of lettuce and very minimal chicken/toppings. I would definitely order this one again although several others sounded quite appealing as well. I was lucky enough to snag a table. They are very limited. We wanted a light lunch before the theater because we had a big Italian dinner planned. We had just finished checking out the holiday village in Bryant Park and this was right across the street, so it perfectly fit our needs. I've been to many salad places like this one, but I found this one to be particularly good. I had the Santa Fe salad and it was fantastic. I love the way they chop up the salads with their giant machete. All of the folks working there were very friendly and moved quickly. The only downside of this location is the seating is quite limited - only about 20 seats in total. I would definitely go again if there was a Chopt in the area near me! read more

Its a decent salad mixin place but there is really not that much to different it from any other place from around the area. The salads are good and you get some really healthy options. They don't have a big selection of items to choose from though. They do have specials every once in a while that can be quite good. Price-wise its good. I wish they gave more bread for their salads. The lines can go by really fast and I haven't had any trouble with the staff. Choppers are enjoyable. Seating here is pretty bad though. There is only like three tables in the place. I love Chop't so much - the closing of their 41st and Broadway branch has made my work food consumption a sadder, more expensive, less healthy affair. I started venturing over to this branch, but after several visits, I think I'm just going to have to give up unless/until they reopen over on Broadway, as was originally promised. In 5 trips here, they've been out of a particular ingredient or my desired dressing 4 times. That alone wouldn't be a major issue, but they haven't told me about that fact until my salad was pretty much put together, tossed and chopped - sorry, Chop't - on 3 of those occasions, leaving me the unhappy choice to either (a) be an ass, tell them to waste food and start over or (b) try to figure out a replacement ingredient/dressing that they can throw in my salad. And what can truly replace kalamata olives or mexican goddess dressing, anyway? Look, I understand, you run out of stuff - on the whole I think it's a good sign - people come here, hopefully they really do use fresh ingredients... but you really need to let people know that at the ordering stage rather than the check-out stage. I love Chop't's business model and stated goals (Chipotle-like but minus the e. coli thus far) and they are certainly a company receptive to customer feedback (they sent me a $5 credit after I emailed to complain about the problem the last time it occurred), but I'm not even that anxious to go back and use it. I walked past this place yesterday and popped in because it had a clean look and feel to it. After walking around and seeing the sights, I found myself wanting something that would fill me up but not leave me overly stuffed. Appearance (4): The place had been busy all day; I stopped by earlier in the day and picked up a menu before deciding this was my dinner spot. Though it was almost closing, the place could've been on it's way to being clean (it was 9:45 pm when I ordered and they closed at 10 pm). Service (5): Both of the gentlemen at the counter were courteous and expeditious when it came to making my salad. The cashier was very friendly and funny. As I was casually looking for the $.57 for my order, she went to her purse and grabbed what I needed without me knowing. Food (5): I ordered the Santa Fe Salad (First Time Favorite) with the Sweet & Smokey Chipotle Vinaigrette. Once all of the ingredients were added to my bowl, down the assembly line went my salad. The process to actually chop the salad was interesting. Every item my salad was chopt with the exception of my avocado, which was perfect! I wouldn't want to have smashed avocado. If I wasn't going home soon, I'd definitely come back. But, since my time is limited I'd rather try some of the other eateries around (it's currently Restaurant Week here in New York). Normally love Chopt because of their wide selection of toppings and service, but this location disappointed. This was my first time at this location, second time ordering ahead as I can't afford the time spent waiting in line during lunch hours. I ordered my usual, grilled chicken, kale, spinach, veggie toppings and lemon juice dressing. My order not ready at the right time, I'm willing to overlook this always as I know workers are busy, but the order wasn't even right when it came out. The salad wasn't mixed or chopped, two big factors that add to why I love Chopt so much. There was also no lemon juice at all and they definitely skimped out on toppings. I didn't realize any of this as I rushed to get back to my office before chowing down, but I surely would have brought this back if I could have. Overall very disappointing as I will only willingly spend $20 on a salad if it is what I asked for/up to quality standards. read more

Chop't is just ok. It seems like as the years have progressed, they put less and less toppings in their salad. Also it is VERY expensive if you build your own salad. You're better off with just selecting a set salad combination and then adding another topping. If I come again, I definitely won't build my own. A: I love Chop't B: I don't know if it's where this one is located but the efficiency is just lacking. Every other locations runs very smoothly and this was was slow and kind of disorganized even for a slow Saturday afternoon. C: The staff attitudes here in there entirety were poor at best. D: The quality control just didn't seems up to par. We had to remind them of ingredients that when into our salad and I ended up with 3 romaine lettuce stems. I just expected better!! I've honestly tried to avoid this location mostly because I've passed by here in the summers and the line is out the door. But then again, actually visit Chop't for yourself and you'll realize these salads are so good it's totally worth waiting out the door (on a hot summer day, maybe debatable but still). I came in on a rainy Wednesday and there was close to zero line. There is a greeter who directs you to the multiple salad stations they have, much like any other Chop't. I say I prefer this location more even though is less seating because it is very clear where the line is. I like Chop't because I'm a bad salad maker, meaning I like a lot of things - but these things don't necessary taste good together in salads (like ice cream and ketchup, not that I'd ever put those two in salads, I know that much). Thank goodness Chop't has a whole list of salads you can request them to make and obviously they can accommodate it according to your needs (vg, gf, v) as they are only recommendations. I tried their New England Harvest with beets and blue cheese and boy, it was delicious! Some of the salads don't have a lot of toppings in them, so you can feel free to add more, but sometimes, salads shouldn't. And also don't forget - bread is free if you ask! read more

Gave you guys 3 chances, and every time was treated like shit. Walked in, stood there waiting to be helped for 5 mins. Walked towards the register where 3 girls were standing and told them I wanted to order a salad. One immediately responded to my answer to the other two saying they were done for the day, the other two asked for a male who told me to give me a min. 5 mins later told me sorry and give him another min while the two earlier staff members continued chatting. By the register. After that I walked out while hearing the one of the girls saying "bye" as I walked away in an almost mocking tone. I get that sometimes when it's light it's fun to slack off but I felt ignored.
