First time trying their wrap instead of a salad. The spicy sonoma caesar wrap was solid. I ordered for pick up directly on their website and it was ready to be picked up when I got there (which took less than 10 minutes). The store was busy and there's a couple of kiosks available to order in person (no place to sit or eat though). The salads are placed on the shelf whereas the wraps or other items are placed in a bag which can be picked up by letting the staff know. The wrap had a slight kick to it but manageable, and the chicken to salad ratio was just right.

First and foremost I ordered this meal and drove 40 min to get it. I have always praised your amazing salads. But this is the third bad experience I've had and this was it for me. As I am halfway through my meal, starving at this point, I begin to notice a lot of the lettuce seems old & tastes very plant like. Then I noticed a HAIR in it. This is beyond disgusting and outraging for a prestige restaurant as Chopt.

Chopt is what most American males are at an early age. What a nasty and painful practice. But it's not as bad as these salads. I'm not a fan of this salad chain at all. I think they have issues and by issues I don't mean in a good way. Or a Julia Michaels way which might even be better than the issues they do have. They charge you for toppings after the first few. Get real people. They give you very small portions at very high prices. Go away. There's salad often tastes a little dry or stale. Like why am I stale eating this? Stale Kale may rhyme but IT SUCKS. Their dressings are vinegarier than a tub of sulphuric acid in an Albanian mafia basement dissolving some informants. Their employees are usually not so friendly. So all in all it's just a bad salad company which is ironic since it was the very first of its kind and so many others have copied this business model. Plus one star for being healthy but honestly GTFO.

Custom Salad, not many options to choose from.

I ordered the custom salad. The only downsize is that they don't have cheddar cheese and they don't have many add-in options like most salad places. The Tex-mex ranch has great flavoring & a spicy kick to it ! It came out to $12.50 with just two extra add-in's. To me it's a bit pricey.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN SALAD chain shop in NYC!! you can choose your own ingredients or choose one of the salads on the menu. you also have the option of making that salad into sandwich version they just opened this location near bryant park & today was the first training day LOVED IT. I got the kebab cobb salad with red wine vinaigrette PLUS added avocado & broccoli.. i love avocado & they are GENEROUS with it.. i saw them putting half an avocado into each salad! lots of options that you don't see elsewhere (even down to pita chips, feta cheese, kale, shrimp, etc).. my only gripe is this is a bit pricey if you customize.. it ADDS UP but the salad was large enough to last me 2 meals.. NOTE: the "flat bread" they offer on the side is like a whole wheat tortilla

Probably one of the better options for a tasty salad that isn't drowned in dressings and toppings. They go heavy on the greens and honestly the portions for the whole salad are spot on. I recommend getting a mix as they chop it up nicely for a homogeneous blend. Also the bread on the side was so good :)

Normally, I would recommend Chop't. Great ingredient options, they never run out of kale (unlike sweetgreen), and I love their Mexican Goddess dressing. Unfortunately, I had live stink bug in my salad today. It was on the fork while I was going to take a bite and thankfully I noticed. Several of my coworkers have stories about finding bugs, dead or alive, so it seems to happen very often. I would proceed with caution.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

He didn't even finish but found it amazingly delicious. Service was okay. Nothing too spectacular. I almost felt an inconvenience to the server but we didn't have a fussy order nor was it busy (we ordered before the rush). Maybe she was preparing for the rush. Lol either way, it wouldn't stop me from returning.

My bartender Lewis/Luis was incredibly attentive, frequently checking in to see how everything was going. He also recommended the Avocado Sushi with truffle miso to go alongside the Bang Bang Broccoli I had already ordered, and it was a great call. The Bang Bang Broccoli is good the tempura is well done and the sauce is delicious but after a couple of bites, the sauce starts to overpower the broccoli and becomes a little too saucy and salty. I found myself reaching for water more than I expected. The Avocado Sushi had a really beautiful smoky, rich flavor, though I do wish they'd pack a little less rice. With so much rice in each piece, it's hard to get a balanced bite cutting it down by half would make it perfect. The Matchatini was a standout. Creamy on top, with just the right amount of alcohol not overpowering at all, just enough to complement the matcha. As tempting as it was to order another one, I wanted to savor the moment, and I'm glad I did. For dessert, I had my eye on the Matcha Sandwich Cookies with ice cream, but they were sold out. Fellow reviewers saved the day though, pointing me to the Matcha Cheesecake and they were 110% correct. That cheesecake did not disappoint. Though it didn't seem to be a lot of food but I couldn't even finish it on my own so I got it to go.

Beyond Sushi was in Midtown near where I was staying, so I ended up coming here---on Valentine's Day, which happened to be a mistake! Since I didn't have a reservation, the lady who checked me in told me I had to find a seat at the bar. Her attitude was not the best, as when I looked over the menu and made a decision on what I wanted to get, she dismissed me when I waved her over, saying she is not the person taking orders. Um, okay? Then who is? One guy at the bar was nicer, and was able to take my order. I started off with a hot tea since NYC was cold in February, and then decided to have as much as I could of two dishes---the "chicken" yakitori skewers and the Korean BBQ skillet. The skewers came in a set of two, with a white mayo-like sauce drizzle and pickled cucumber on the side. Super delectable, though very filling because of the protein! The skillet was made with classic Chunk Foods protein, the go-to plant-based option for all the meat dishes at City Roots restaurants as far as I know. This was incredibly filling, but the sauce and the texture were all around delicious as well. I could NOT bother to finish the brussels sprouts the skillet came with---way too much to stomach, and I was going to focus on the "meats" since I can always have brussels any other time! The bill by the end of it was PRICEY. That's why I only go to one of these restaurants as a special treat when I visit NYC. Watch out if you order hot tea...$13!! I guess that's the NYC way, but still!
