Amazing catering service. I ordered food for a party at my house for the second time from Lenzi and everything was fantastic both times :)

I held my daughters tailgate wedding party 17th 2025. Everything was perfect they were very accommodating on all our needs. We had a cocktail reception with plenty of food the bartenders were great also. I was so happy and my daughter was surprised. I would not hesitate having another function there again. When I contacted Lenzi's, Bonnie was very quick to call me back and was in constant communication with me whenever I had a question. The support was important during an emotional time for our family. Lenzi's did an excellent job preparing and serving the Mercy Meal. The food was delicious. We received many compliments from our guests about the fabulous food. From the start of setting up a Mercy meal,the owners were very pleasant and easy to work with. The options were explained well and suggestions made from the history of past events. Emails and phone calls immediately responded to. Upon arrival, Waitstaff very friendly and helpful. The tavern was set up for the event which was fine to begin with, but We asked for some seating adjustments to accommodate the size of our group which was immediately done. The food was very good with several options available.we had choices of meatballs, lasagna, salads, breads deli meats and cheeses. Dessert was quite a treat with 2 options strawberry cream cake and a decadent chocolate fudgie cake. The overall experience was very positive ending with owners presenting us with one of their famous chicken pot pies to take home.Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. I've been here a few times for baby showers and always have LOVED the chicken pot pie. For events, it comes in a tray and there's tons of little crusts and they're so good. We decided to try hosting our own event at Lenzi's so we went to the Tavern @ Lenzi's to test other meal options and the food was just as great. I ordered the braised short ribs and they were incredible. Everyone at the table was jealous that they didn't order it as well. Finally, we had an event for appx. 80 people in October and everyone at Lenzi's was incredibly accommodating. They made sure the room was set up perfectly and helped us to set up our own decorations. It turned out that we were going to be too cramped in the space, so they happily opened up the wall for us to have more space. We stuffed ourselves and had a great time dancing. Everyone was a huge fan of the steak tips. The event space can be re-sized thanks to the air wall. Part of the floor is carpet and the other part is wood, perfect for a dance floor. I'd highly recommend for any event! read more

I figured before reviewing this place, I'd give it two chances since my first experience fell so far below expectations... Went here for a wedding shower. When the food FINALLY came out, it was cold or room temperature. How disgusting are cold scrambled eggs!? I heard they are "known for their chicken pot pie." Well, if that's the case, I'm shocked. You're better off going to Harrow's in Tewksbury. Then the rehearsal dinner was here. Cheese burgers were dry as hockey pucks, chewing their pulled pork was like chewing bubblegum (it was so fatty). Not sure how they can hold themselves out as a catering company, if this is the quality of food they serve. Very disappointing. read more

Hadn't been in ages, but went back hoping things had improved. Happy to say they have. PRO - First off, Karen was a terrific server. Laid back, quick to bring another drink, we really liked her. And the zucchini bread with nuts, is fabulous. And I don't like zucchini bread. Dinner special of baked scallops was really good, Ward reports. Did think the $25 price tag for them was a bit pricey but even at Market Basket, scallops are not cheap. Also the meals now came with a choice of things, not just risotto or whatever, as they had during our previous visit. I got the steak tip Caesar salad, which was terrific. Those steak tips were great, the big salad was excellent, plenty of dressing & fresh grated cheese. I'd go back just for the salad. CON - still think it's a bit pricey to be a regular stop. SO - if you haven't been for a while, give it another shot. We'll be back. read more

We've been to Lenzi's many times. Went there Saturday night for food and drinks at the bar. The waitress with the blond hair and nice smile was great as usual. The dinner was buffet style, so I expected it to be less than restaurant quality. Not what I expected at all, everything was GREAT! Driven by it a few times and finally stopped in. Great cozy feeling when you walk in, nice decor and a fireplace. It's a family run place and they made you feel right at home. This review is for the Thanksgiving buffet. First impression was great with attendant in parking lot checking your reservation and directing you to park in lot closest to the room assigned. Decor was nice and look newly renovated. From a food standpoint, it was good but a big turnoff by lack of planning with extremely long lines. There was bottleneck as the food was placed in small room near the tavern bar area. They needed to separate line for salad and soup from the entrees. read more

Not worth the $$$. I've been there for a mercy meal and the food and service were great. However, the Tavern/Bar side is awful. The food is way overpriced for what you get. I had the baked haddock and I'd bet my right arm that the fish was frozen at one time. For about $21 dollars, this should have been right out of the ocean. This was a repeat visit and I won't be going back again anytime soon. There are so many better places for your money. read more

Normally, I lower my expectations at functions with catered buffets. Most times the food is only a short distance from school cafeterias and bug juice, but after reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I was looking forward to Lenzi's. Well, fool me once. The food was just okay. Granted we didn't have the famous chicken pot pie or the steak tips. We received baked ziti, meatballs, and fried chicken tenders. All were maybe slightly above average. The real problem, and the reason for two stars, was the service. When you wait thirty minutes for your table to be called only to find two of the only four chaffing dishes empty per line, it's not a good sign. Look it was a large event (500 people), but if you're a FUNCTION ROOM--it's the ONLY thing you do-- you should be able to handle it. There was also no service at the tables. You had to hunt down the nametagless middle aged waitresses who blended in with the slew of moms in the crowd just to get a simple water pitcher refilled. (One per table of ten.) Lemonade? Forgetaboutit. If you're going to Lenzi's, it's probably because you have to, so just brace yourself. read more

I've been here about a dozen times and the staff is always nice and accommodating. They have dinner rolls and warm zucchini bread. They have specials, which they are always routing in and out, so they always have something new on the menu. I would also highly recommend their red sangria. After heavily relying on other people's reviews for anything I purchase I decided to make the move so here goes my first. I found out about Lenzi's tavern (same company as the catering place from my understanding) through a different review website and it was recommended for brunch which is what my wife and I wanted this morning. I've read lots of reviews about this place and it was a bit all over the place so we decided to give it a try for the Sunday brunch, which is a buffet. The selection was pretty much the one portrayed on their website and the price ($22 per adult) was consistent as well. I tried almost everything they had to offer: my favorites were the rosemary home fries and the sausage. The bechamel broccoli was pretty good too and I enjoyed the chicken pot pie. My wife got an order from the omelet bar and said "it was pretty good and tasted homemade". So overall the food was fairly good, the drink ordered was not exactly to taste, the service was fair but the selection could have been a bit bigger. Also, the atmosphere was nice, the noise level fairly "moderate/high" (mostly elder crowd when we went) and there was a live pianist and singer. Wish I could give it a 3.5 stars. read more

The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent! We asked for them to come up with blue drinks to go with our theme, and they did so making 2 awesome drinks, that everyone was drinking! Absolutely as good as it gets! Had our company Christmas party there last night. The food, atmosphere, service, EVERYTHING was top notch. Best steak tips I've had in ions. How they made them so delicious for a huge crowd and buffet style is beyond me. Several other entrée options on the buffet as well - all equally as delicious. I would highly recommend Lenzi's for your next large celebration. Super easy to get to, as well. No crazy traffic to fight, like when going into the big city! read more

We have been to Lenzi's twice and both times it was very good especially the service at the bar. We always sit at the bar. We've ordered the famous chicken pie, salmon, tavern salad and everything was delicious. I loved the salad because it had Gorgonzola cheese, apples and mandarin oranges. They also have Skyfall Merlot which is a great wine. I highly recommend this casual restaurant. read more

We had a sweet sixteen at this venue yesterday (3/31/19) and it was amazing. The crew and everyone who works there was super helpful. No complaints. The food was great, the workers were super helpful. Bonnie from the office was very helpful and accommodating! I recommend this place to anyone who's planning on throwing a big party or dinner. I attended a high school reunion here last September and the food and atmosphere was wonderful. I was pleased to hear that they had opened a restaurant and went there last night with two friends. Everything was SUPERB! The bread basket was a tray of deliciously moist and flavorful zucchini bread. We ordered drinks which were good and generous and fried onion rings as an appetizer. The onion rings were some of the best we had ever tasted! We all ordered the steak tips and were not disappointed. Perfectly char-broiled medium rare they were amazing and served with sauteed al dente onions and green peppers - delicious! Of special note... (I don't like the common, current practice of plating food items on top of one another.) I asked the waitress if they could not do this. "Of course!" she said. She also let us substitute french fries and their lemon scallion risotto for the menu offering of mashed potatoes. She very graciously/pleasantly accommodated our requests. For dessert, we ordered the apple crisp and shared it. It was served with fresh whipped cream and French vanilla ice cream and was a delicious end to a perfect evening! read more

We made reservations to go to Lenzi's with a couple of friends. My wife read some reviews that weren't very positive and asked whether or not we should reconsider our plans. I'm very happy we didn't change plans; the service, food and overall atmosphere was really outstanding. All four of us had different meals and each of us was raving about how good it was. The Tavern is really beautiful and Karen our waitress was extremely helpful and fun. Looking forward to visiting Lenzi's again this coming Saturday for a funraiser for our good friend Fred Simon with proceeds going to Dana Farber. I booked the Merrimack Room in August 2017 for a surprise 75th birthday party for my sister. I spoke with Bonnie who was very nice and accommodating, and she gave me all the details and pricing for the January event. I spoke with her several times via phone to make sure there were tables for flowers and gift cards & guest book. We went over the final price and we agreed to the amount. I gave her the number of people attending which would be 48 & she told me that it was very close to the 50 amount that I needed and not to worry about being charged for the bartender which was a $75.00 fee. She had also mentioned to me when I met her in August that if I didn't have the exact 50 amount but was close to it, I wouldn't have to pay the Bartender fee. The night of the party, when we pulled up to the building, all the shades were pulled up and we could see right into the room which gave away the surprise to my sister, as she could see people she knew sitting at the tables! The shades should have been closed. The room was right next to the parking lot. I felt at that point, the surprise had been blown, but I was hoping the rest of the evening went better. When we walked into the room, my close friend had decorated it beautifully with balloons, and birthday favors and it looked really nice. People were eating their appetizers that came with the buffet. The Head Waitress Denise was very nice and she kept coming over to me to ask if anything else was needed. Then they started bringing out the food for the buffet which everyone seemed to enjoy and the DJ was great playing music from the 50's//60's and everyone was having a great time dancing. Then it was time to leave, and everyone seemed to have a good time. We started to bring out the gifts and flowers and balloons to the car, and the Co-Owner Sandy at the front desk stopped me to ask me if I was going to pay the bill. I was confused at that point because I had already given Bonnie my credit card over the phone 2 weeks prior to the party with the final count of attendees. Bonnie had told me that that was a requirement and I stuck to it. I told them at the front desk that as soon as I finished bringing the stuff to the car, that I would be back in. When I returned to the front desk I asked them about the bill. Sandy said that she added the $75.00 back onto the bill because I didn't have 50 people, I was minus 2. I told her that Bonnie told me twice that I didn't have to pay the $75 bartender fee because I was close to the 50 count of attendees. She rambled off that the Bartenders only earn a minimum wage and that the $75 is given to them if the count is under 50 people. I told her that I noticed a lot of people going to the bar buying mixed drinks and she said they barely bought $200 in mixed drinks and because I bought mostly wine to go with the appetizers. Sandy's voice was very loud and people in the back room kept coming out to see what was going on. She literally embarrassed me! She then proceeded to tell me she would deduct the $75 reluctantly, as this fee always gets charged when there is a bartender. Denise the head waitress was sitting right there and she didn't say anything. Then Sandy told me I needed to pay for the party, I told her I gave Bonnie my credit card over the phone and said to her are you not supposed to pay for the function 10 days prior to event date?, she said yes but she saw no evidence that I had already paid in full. She then saw my credit card number and said she'd have to check with Bonnie on this. At that point, I was so upset that she really ruined my entire night which was supped to be a lovely surprise and fun event for my sister! I then took the paper she gave me with the total amount on it and walked away without saying another word, as my sister was in the car waiting for me. When I got to the car, my sister asked me if there was a problem, I told her no, everything was all set. As far as I'm concerned, Co-Owner Sandy has NO IDEA as to how to deal with people! She will definitely lose business for Lenzi's. Due to the way she spoke with me, I will never use Lenzi's ever again for anything and I plan to inform my family and friends of this. Such a shame because Bonnie, the Head Chef, Christine & Denise were fabulous to me. read more

The worst Mother's Day Brunch ever!!! Made reservations at Lenzi's in Dracut two weeks in advance for a Mother's Day brunch for 9 family members. There were two handicapped people in our party so I called the restaurant 1/2 hour before leaving to ask what the closest entrance was to our table setting. We were told to park in the back because we were to be seated in the main dining room. Upon arriving we were escorted through the main dining room to a back room with little light and dirty dishes piled high on a tray from previous parties. I asked to speak to Keith who in fact stated the main room was assigned to us but unfortunately our table was given to another party!! Really???? And this was the best they could do?? This was so much more than a Mother's Day brunch. Several relatives came from out of town and this was the first time we were all together in one room in several years. We ended up with a rectangular table which made it difficult to converse with members at the opposite end. The food was fair and the desserts were less than appetizing. The wait staff was nowhere to be found so we cleared off our own table and just added to the the pile of dirty dishes. We called to complain about the disastrous day and were told that there were several complaints and that Lenzi's will not be using that back room for further functions. To make up for this big blunder Lenzi's offered us a gift certificate for three people. Reluctantly we will go back one of these days to use the certificates but it can never make up for what was lost. I will never go back to Lenzi's again unless I'm forced to attend a mercy meal or some other function! I will be making reservations for family functions elsewhere. read more

My soon-to-be in-laws hosted my bridal shower here! It was so nice and the food good! Not one complaint from any guests. We have also had anniversary parties and mercy meals here in the past- again, the food has always been good, warm, and the rooms are always setup nicely. My wife and I go to Lenzi's quite often and usually sit at the bar. The service is always outstanding. . We have tried a few entrees and some of the appetizers. Everything we have tried is always very good, especially the outstanding French onion soup. read more

Lowell General Hospital's Volunteer Department holds their Annual Volunteer Recognition Event at Lenzi's every year. This year's 50's - Rock Around the Clock Event on May 19th was no exception and as always the wait and bar staff, management, the service, the food and the location was wonderful. Each and every one of you make this event special, fun, and an event that everyone at Lowell General looks forward to year after year.
