Getting them to respond to improper work is a huge challenge. Over this winter, we had a serious problem of ice damming and water pouring into our family room, causing thousands of dollars in interior damage Rick's office staff is courteous and friendly, but that's where it ends. The owner, Rick, is a no show and his field manager is great at pretending to care. Lots of broken promises Without constant calls and continual badgering, you will get nowhere when it comes to them honoring their labor warranty. Among all of the other false assurances, we were told multiple times that they would contact GAF, the manufacturer of the roofing materials on-site inspection of their roofing job. That never happened. Here are some pictures of the water leaks and damage from last winter. Don't fall for the promises. Take a look at the pictures of the lousy roof job and the interior damage caused by the subsequent leaks into the family room and judge for yourself. More pics to come.

When Ted, from the Window People, came out to measure he wrote up the $2,700+ window order for white hardware even though the window he was replacing and every window in the house had brass hardware. The new window was installed and later I noticed the hardware did not match the old window. When I asked to have the hardware replaced, Ted wanted over $100 to swap it out. Ted and I went back and forth over "I signed for white hardware" versus "You were instructed that I wanted the exact same window as before but longer vertically". Ted wants the money... I called customer service at Marvin Corporate and Jill was great. She sent me the hardware as a courtesy at no cost. Marvin makes a great window but where you purchase it from is important and if you are looking for reasonable support I would not call The Window People.

Kevin's rates are very reasonable, and the final price was well within the quoted range he provided, so I'm very pleased with that. This business does not deserve even 1 star…read more I needed a window quickly and Joe said he could get the size I wanted in 1 week. In hindsight, that was the 1st red flag because every other window place could not promise delivery any earlier than 3 weeks. The week passed and I had to call him for an ETA...that was the 2nd red flag. He called back 2 days later and said it would be another week due to no delivery. I told him no less than 1/2 dozen times that the window was going from small to bigger...the size was being changed. The installer arrived the day after Joe delivered the window and said that because of the size change, it should be a "new construction" window, not a replacement. I called Joe to discuss his mistake and he said. "I wish I had known" it was new construction. I said, "I told you several times" that the size was being enlarged. He offered a suggestion on how to make it work. I said the installer doesn't want to doctor it up, he wants the right window. Joe said, "I have no use for that window" and I said "neither do I." He made no attempt to correct his own mistake; that's bad business! What an absolute waste of time! How shady and dishonest of him! He knew 100% the window was being enlarged and the new window should have been for new construction. He does this for a living...ALLEGEDLY! We lost 2 weeks waiting for a window that Joe knew was the wrong one, not to mention the money I wasted on a useless window. My installer suggested I contact the BBB based upon my experience and other stories he has heard about Precise. That's my next letter in addition to the Westchester County Consumer Protection Department. Stay away from this unscrupulous liar.
