At no point was I "thoroughly explained" that the service I was receiving would result in lower-quality work because of the price (no I didn't refuse any first quote, I actually paid more than the original offer for oem paint) In fact, they were the ones encouraging me to move forward with the project while I already had other work being done on the car. They also claim they repaired dents and body damage at no cost. That's misleading. I specifically asked whether the dings around the vehicle would cost extra because I was willing to pay for them, and I was told they would take care of them. That was their decision, not something I requested for free. As for the warranty, I was originally told there was a 5-year warranty on the work. However, after bringing the car back shortly after pickup to address issues I wasn't satisfied with, I was later told the warranty was no longer valid. Now the response claims it was only a 2-year warranty, which is not what I was told. The problem has never been about money. The problem is the quality of the work and the lack of accountability afterward. If a shop offers a service and accepts a job, they should stand behind the results instead of later claiming the customer didn't pay enough. Looking through other reviews, it seems like any negative feedback is met with an explanation of why the customer is at fault. I understand wanting to defend your business, but accountability goes a lot further than shifting blame. Written estimates, warranty terms, and expectations should be clearly documented to avoid situations like this in the future. This review is not about me trying to get my way or get a free paint job, this review is to save someone the headache of getting a bad paint job. I would never bring my car back here for any work, free or not.

As an African American woman, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable going into auto shops without much knowledge about vehicles. However, if you're looking for a reliable body shop where you won't feel intimidated or pressured, this is the place. The team is friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Ask for Mark--you won't regret it. I originally found Aramex Body Shop during heavy rain in Los Angeles when my Tesla needed repairs, and that experience alone made me a customer. Since then, I've now been back a total of three times, including twice last year after two separate accidents involving my Tesla Model Y. The first accident last year I was rear-end on the freeway by a speeding driver and the second involved a rear end by a drunk driver while I was a passenger. Both accidents were not my fault, which made the situation even more stressful, but Mark handled everything smoothly. During the second repair, there was some back-and-forth with my insurance (State Farm), and the adjuster was giving pushback. Mark handled everything professionally and made sure my vehicle was repaired properly with the correct Tesla parts. That level of attention and advocacy really stood out. At one point, I was even out of the country, and Mark kept me updated the entire time through text (which I prefer), along with phone calls when needed. Communication was always clear, consistent, and convenient. He handled the follow-ups and made sure everything stayed on track, which took a lot of stress off me. Every time I've picked up my car, it looked like it just came off the showroom floor--honestly even better than when I brought it in. I found LAX Body Shop on a Saturday and stopped in to see if they worked with insurance. The answer was immediately yes! Then, I asked if I could just get an estimate without dropping my car off for overnight. Yes again! AND.. he called a parts shop and secured the parts for my car that same day! I did a photo estimate with my insurance, then agreed to bring my car in on Monday for the estimate. They already had the parts ordered so I dropped the car off on Monday and they gave me a ride to work!! I can't say enough good things about this shop! The car would have been done in a week, but the insurance took longer to get the paperwork completed. The shop finished the work quickly, washed my car, and even polished up the other headlight cover!! The cost was exactly what the insurance approved- with the supplemental estimate from the shop- and the process was so smooth and everyone at the shop so friendly and helpful! I was going to bring my Infiniti here for repairs, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
