Always a nice meal and you feel at home. Looking forward to going back in September when they reopen :)

Small little family owned restaurant with incredibly friendly owners! Loved eating there. The large portions are perfect for a cold rainy day- broth is savory and not too heavy. The noodles soak up the flavor and sprinkle a little thai basil and lime juice in there and you see golden. The hot coffee with condensed milk is also splendid and packs a huge caffeine punch to get you through the day- would recommend! Owner recommended the spring roll as well which was pretty good, comes out quickly if you're hungry. Overall would come back if I'm ever in the mood for pho!

Excellent, and worth a drive. Our lunch started with a delicious and zesty ginger salad. The spring rolls (ch giò) were my favorite dish - crunchy outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside). The pork vermicelli noodle bowl (bún tht nng) was tasty too, though the pork could have used a tad more flavor, and the pickled vegetables (đ chua) weren't very pungent. It's not on a beautiful block, and there's no parking lot, but the inside of the restaurant is comfortable.

What a great find!!! It's a small not very attractive restaurant in Upper Darby. Wow the neighborhood has changed ( I used to live a few blacks away 30 years ago) with ethnic restaurants of every sort lining the streets. The owner waited on us and he could not have been nicer. As for the food.. some dishes were the best I've had. The Ban Xoe (crispy crepe) was amazing !! The spring rolls just as good. The grilled grape leaves yummy as well as the noodle bowl with beef. I didn't love the texture of the grilled meatballs. So... a super high positive review for the food. Prices are extremely reasonable. If you are gluten free you will be happy happy happy.

Best Spring Rolls you will ever experience! I love this little hidden gem. I have been to Little Saigon 3 times and decided to finally share my thoughts on the place. Parking: there is a parking lot across the street which you might have to pay for. I usually park at the metered spots along the side where H-Mart is. 25 cents gets you 45 minutes. Service: this is a mom and pop place. When you first get there you will be greeted right away. Getting a table is fast. The initial order takes a little bit longer to happen than most places. This doesn't bug me. I just want to note here that it is normal. Don't be concerned. It is worth the wait. The staff is very kind and helpful. Price: awesome! This place is not pricy at all. Go enjoy yourself! Food: Delicious! Get the spring rolls. Do it now! Get the beef on the sticks. Do it! I also enjoyed the prime rib but forgot to take a picture. Go check out this BYOB.

Somehow I'm always surprised that the dish I've ordered which seems so plain and simple, is always so unbelievably delicious. This restaurant, in upper Darby, is nothing to write home about when considering atmosphere because it's kind of a dive... but the food makes up for everything. We were going to a concert at the Tower theater and found our way up to Little Saigon for a quick BYOB authentic Vietnamese meal.I would recommend coming here and will come back when I go back to the Tower theater.

I love the lettuce wraps always good! They are the perfect lunch or an appetizer to share with the table.

Ask the Community - Little Saigon

    Has Little Saigon reopened?

Yes, they just reopened yesterday. Their new hours are from 3-7:30. I don't know what days of the week they are off.

Is this place hiring? I have a friend looking for a job.

No idea, you'll have to call and ask them.

Are any of the vegetarian menu items vegan?

I believe so, if anything the soup can be completely vegetarian if needed.

The rice deluxe platter is my go to, it has everything you'd want for a Vietnamese dish and is fairly reasonably priced for the main line. The Vietnamese coffee is richer than Scrooge McDuck and I mean that in a very good way. I have to force myself drink it slowly because it's so good that I've often found myself slurping it down within a few minutes. Hot or iced, it's excellent. The restaurant is very chill, spacious and allows for privacy. Granted, the seats aren't particularly comfortable, but considering how fast the food gets to your table, you won't care. Staff is always friendly and professional, never had any issues with anyone there. It's also a brilliant place to eat outside in the spring and summertime in particular, since it has such a nice view of Narberth. It's been a great addition to the town since it first opened.

Broth, in my opinion, is what makes or breaks the soup and mine was under-developed. My husband and I shared a pork bahn mi sandwich. Not enough meat. Not enough zing. But the bread was crisp. My friends, not too familiar with Vietnamese cuisine, enjoyed their dishes -- chicken com (which looked lacking to me) and some noodle dish. The restaurant is byob. Service is efficient, the restaurant clean and the ambience, sterile. Located less than ten minutes from home -- next door to my hair salon! -- I have no problem coming back. But it's not the type of restaurant I'd travel far to get to.

The bread was just the right level of crispy, and all the ingredients were right on point. Definitely would come back to try another banh mi, or another dish! They were good about service as well - the server came by many times to refill our water, and when I had a complaint about what didn't look right in my sandwich the first time, he went and made another one. Inside, it's not a huge space, but it looks nice inside and is pretty clean. Probably not great for a big group, but good for smaller groups. I'd be down to return!

Biting into the small summer roll ("Garden Roll") was the opposite of the refreshing crisp, pop-of-herbs & vegetable bite, I expect. Peanut sauce was OK. Banh mi didn't seem to be dressed and had no jalapenos, but did have a sprig (1) of cilantro. Dominant flavor came from the sesame seeds on the roll. Sauce for the salad was a one dimensional - a thin sugar syrup. Another bad meal in a trend of bad meals in this area. So who do I blame - the restaurant or the customers who ensure that bland food like this continues to be output ? Because, after all, a restaurant needs to please its customers to stay in business. Maybe the restaurant should post a warning or offer an option for authentic food. Oh, also... When I was trying to place the order through the website, it tells me orders are not being accepted. Then I'm sent to DoorDash to place the order. Seriously!? I used the phone.

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.
