Small cute little place off the beaten path. Came for a late dinner and the server was very nice! We ordered the bread with dipping oil to start but the bread was a bit underdone and we didn't end up eating all of it. We did let the waitress know and she was very apologetic. I ordered a frozen sangria and it had a very strong smell of apple cider vinegar. It was a strange combination and I did not finish it. As for the food it was good. Not great and not terrible. We needed to salt most of it and the oil dipping for the bread had way too much oil. The pasta Collin's noodles seemed dried out and possibly microwaved with not much seasoning. We would come back and give it another try possibly for the pizza. Just a heads up. The prices on the menu are "cash prices", if you pay with credit card like most you need to add about $5 to your bill. read more

Order was ready for dine in and to go and the lady wasn't even there to take to take , was waiting over 7 min . Need more people to do the front window service trash underneath the soda fountain. Lady messed up my pasta order, I said no meat or cheese and she put cheese on it and didn't label it. So have to wait longer to fix it . Parking lot is open and clean enough. The plain bread is inside the to go container and touching the pasta after I said it needs to be in the side . I had tomato salad dressing on side and they didn't Lisen put the dressing on side , and then they messed up on the meatball sub they given different order and it looks like calzone, which looks different from the picture on the menu online after the lady said it's correct when I showed her. Because the picture online had bread with a meatball and a cheese on it and what they gave me doesn't look anything like it. The french fries are thick and some of them are white, and some of them are burnt thick cut no ketchup on the side the lady didn't even try to ask if I needed any. I had to ask for a Parmesan cheese on the side three times. Very disappointing customer service very disappointing kitchen staff. They did not listen. They don't try to fix things right away. what I tell her that was so rude because the lady was very rude and making smart comments about me being a Vegan and she started talking behind my back. she made loud comments to my face about my diet, and I didn't find that very appropriate at all because she's a lady who works there. they put too much sugar in spaghetti sauce and then after they remade it, they didn't put the bread back. read more

Found myself in this area for a wedding (flew out from CA) and tried this place on a whim night 1 after getting off the plane and checking in at the hotel. What a neat little surprise! I live in North Beach, SF (the Italian neighborhood) and this spot was better than places that charge twice the amount. I got the carbonara and my friend got the eggplant parm and we shared an order of garlic bread. The carbonara was very tasty, but if I had more time in the area I would have come back to get the eggplant parm for myself! I was so jealous after tasting it. Delicious hidden gem. read more

To be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot of given the rural location on a highway, but they surprised me both with the quality of the food and the friendly service. This is the first and last time I order pizza from this restaurant. Ordered a works pizza and asked for jalapeños on half the pizza. None added. To top that off the pizza was basically tasteless. Solid Italian fare if you are in the Cedar Creek/Bastrop area. The food here is simple, well prepared and good. They have all the standards including pizzas, pastas and salads. You can also get burgers and fish and chips. Everything is homemade. The chicken parmigiana was an ample portion on a bed of spaghetti marinara. The breading was light and although it was slightly overcooked, the flavor was still pretty good. Chicken Provena came with rice and grilled veggies. The sauce was more or less an Italian style gravy. Not a big fan but others at the table enjoyed theirs so maybe it's just a matter of taste. Cheesecake was delicious. Perfect consistency and texture and the flavor was spot on. Service was friendly and prompt. read more

There was a family party for a 21- year old, plenty of families with littles, and date nights for lots of couples. The food is excellent. I had the Collins pasta with added shrimp - delicious! Well its been a year since we were at Leos. So we saw that Gordon Ramsay had a visit with them. My wife and I talked that Gordon will get back on track. So we went and just got back. NOTHING HAS CHANGED We ordered the bread with olive oil dip to start. We got a plate with oil, not sure it was olive oil , and the seasoning was so light it was like not there . My main dish was chicken parm and came burnt and cold. My wife's lasagna and the plate was hot but the food was cold witches means that a microwave was at work. chicken salad was ok but more croutons than chicken. Hey...we stayed at a nearby resort and got a bit tired of the hotel food. We went on yelp and decided to try Leo's--folks we were not disappointed! They delivered to the resort in a very timely manner and it was fresh and still quite warm. My husband got the shrimp and pesto pasta and I had the chicken parm! Both were delicious and the portions were plenty without waste. We shared a house salad and felt like we had a great great meal without breaking the bank! Thanks guys. Food was extremely over salted- had to explain twice and again twice to take items off bill as I was extremely hesitant to try anything else. Manager/owner should have offered that at start vs having to wait to explain a 3rd time as I barely touched such salty food. Would not recommend to anyon. We have been going to Leo's since it first opened. We love the owners; they are very nice people. There are a number of items we really like on the menu. Just recently, they changed the menu. I will say that the homemade blue cheese dressing was really good on my house salad the other night. The Butcher pizza is always a mainstay, and it seemed they put more sauce and maybe a slight change to the dough taste; all of which made it even better. IF I COULD DO ZERO STARS I DEFINITELY WOULD!! Sooo...I give zero stars. i usually love coming here and have no problems. But tonight we decided to come after my son's basketball game. We arrived around 6:40pm and took about 20 mins to get drinks and took 1 hr and 30 mins to get our food. Mind you I am there with 4 hungry kiddos so the wait was crazy. We were told that there was only 1 cook which is understandable we get things happen but the fact that there was only 3 other families there as well and it actually took that long was insane. The waitress we had did her best and we had no issues. Our food had finally arrived and and we get to eating ao I decide to cut into my meatballs and noticed they were still raw, the same for my sons, i didnt get upset cause I know the cook has alot going on so I simply ask if they can get remade. I had them remade but it took a while so i had already ate all my spaghett. I went ahead and cut into the new ones and they were WORSE !! I had to ask the waitress to take them back because we were NOT gonna eat them. At the time of payment i noticed the meatballs were still on my ticket and I asked if she could take them off since we did not even eat them. The cook actually came out instead of the owner and told me & I quote ""I will not take the meatballs off the ticket because the inside temp was good so I will not take them off your ticket and there's nothing I can do"" like how ridiculous does that actually sound !!! I was throughly impressed with the friendliness of all of the staff, even the owners Leo and Michelle made time to stop by and made our experience very welcoming and neighborly. Our waitress Christina was very kind and attentive as well. The entire restaurant has a family feeling. We ordered a Nostro Perfecto pizza, it was my personal favorite - I loved the crust-, the shrimp and scallop carbonado, Italian salad, and the chocolate cheesecake (which cannot be missed for anybody with a sweet tooth- homemade and decadent). Gave this place a 2nd try due to Gordan Ramsey's visit. Interior looked better but no outstanding changes. Dead plants upon entry showed a lack of attention right off the bat. Wanted to try the carbonara,one of my favorites. The bowl of pasta that came out was underwhelming at best. Weird presentation. 1 end PC of dry bread with no butter, olive oil or seasoning just sitting on top. Had zero flavor and even adding alot of parmesan cheese couldn't save it. The Caesar salad dressing was really good, but I missed not having traditional croutons. Just the romaine and the dressing. So that dish for me was a miss. The fish was excellent but obviously frozen pcs of cod. However the fries were a disaster! I appreciate that they are doing fresh fries, but you have to make them correctly. These were, limp, soggy, and dripping in grease. We were the only table in the restaurant , and owner was there. So no excuses for sending out this unedable mess. Server never asked how the food was so I didnt tell her. Owner walked right by our table and never asked either. I love that this is a local family owned business, which I always support. The food is quite good but I think the really surprising thing here is the professionalism and work ethic of the owners/staff. The servers were friendly, respectful, and on point. Dirty dishes were cleared in a timely manner. Suggestions were well thought out and food came out in a timely fashion. One of the owners came round to talk to diners. The staff could have been working at any upscale bistro in the city instead of a small roadside Italian joint near Bastrop. Let's hear it for awesome servers and good management! The menu has some interesting twists, like Granny's Lasagna Pie (cheese and meat sauce with pie crust) and Cannoli chips you dip into the traditional filling. For food snobs looking for authentic cuisine, note that this is unabashedly Southern Italian, and by that I mean southern US and Texas in particular. We Texans like to celebrate our Texanized international immigrant food with no apologies. The pasta e fagiole soup is such comfort food. It's rich and herby and full of stuff. We shared a bowl along with a salad (very fresh vegs and housemade dressing = delish). I had the Collins pasta (olive oil, shaved parm, and herbs) and DH had the shrimp and scallops Carbonara. Both were well made, seasoned properly, and served hot from the kitchen. The pasta was al dente and the sauces were properly prepared. The seafood was cooked perfectly and it was fresh. The restaurant is very clean and tidy and I saw a diverse clientele representative of Central Texas, various backgrounds, singles, families, and couples. The wine and beer selection, while not huge, is carefully considered with quality choices for everyone. A few minor points: too much dressing on the salad, the main dining area is a little antiseptic and sterile (I like the bar ambience tho), and the tasty (housemade?) bread was served cold. Pop that yummy Italian bread in the oven before serving I would also appreciate a personal pepper grinder at the table instead of the pepper shaker, especially on my salad and my pasta. Leo's was highly recomended by a coworker from San Antonio. Us San Antonians are almost as serious about our food as New Orleanians! Food was Exceptional. Lasagna was possibly the best I've ever eaten, quite rich, skillfully layered, perfectly cooked and served in a hot bowl right out of the oven. The Owner Proudly told me that the Desserts were made from Scratch! When you find an eatery that the Chef takes Pride in the food it is a Gem! I sat at a table that I could watch 3 College Football Games in the adjacent Bar area as Las Vegas Italian Style music played. Mediocre food. Good staff! First of all, the best thing about this place is clearly or waitress, Meglin (apologies if I spelled that wrong). She was very attentive, checked in several times, and even asked if my half sweet half unsweet tea was a good ratio for my tastes. Prompt and friendly, she was on her game. As for everything else ... Oof. The food largely relied on sauce for flavor. On the appetizer sampler, the wings were great - good size, meaty, and the buffalo sauce was tasty. The fried ravioli lacked flavor in both filling and batter. The fried cheese sticks were about as expected. The meatball sliders were good. We also got the prime rib sandwich, and we were glad to have asked for creamy horseradish on the side. It was a decent sandwich with the sauce. Oh, and the French fries were spongy. My biggest concern is came from the extra credit card fee, which may be posted somewhere, but I didn't notice it. It is my opinion that that is a cost of doing business. But wait! You might say that that is their way of surviving our current economy, what with inflation, and soaring food costs. Well, my friend, they've already accounted for that with a handy note on their menus which let's the observant customer know that prices have increased by a dollar on each item, and by $3 on the sampler. I will say that despite my disappointment with the quality of food, they do give you a decent portion size. Overall, the establishment won't lose money on my business bc I'm only stopping in as I travel. I wish them well. We found an Italian slice of southern heaven in Cedar Creek. Oh yay! Waitress was so nice. Salad was super fresh. Garlic bread was not just garlic and fresh right out of the oven made but covered in texas pepper seed love. Spagetti with meat sauce was a treat with large slices of parmesan. Hubby says the white sauce shrimp&scallops was very tasty and loaded with ingredients. Great for every taste. They have steaks and pizza's too!!! The menu is filled with various different options to choose from, and I personally had the chicken alfredo which was delicious! The ambience is beautiful aswell, the walls are a lovely green color with pretty white curtains that outline the interior. And best of all, the service!! Our server Lync was awesome!! The staff got our food out quickly and piping hot and I appreciated that our server was taking time to talk to us and make jokes even if they were busy. I never felt so welcomed by a waiter before!! This time it lacked garlic--I'll be sure to ask for lots of garlic next time! Fried Cheese Ravioli were fun, but a tiny bit heavy. The ricotta was tasty and the fry was perfect. I don't know . . . The Wednesday night karaoke here used to be done by a lady that had a really good sound system that made singers sound great. But something happened to her and she's no longer there. Pretty Amazing! Breath of fresh air in the area. I love it here! I'm one of the local Austin Real Estate pros, waiting on a home buyers movers to unload. I didn't know what to do with myself for a few hours I had to wait. Came across Leo's on the main freeway, I wasn't so sure about this spot from the outside but one I got in, wow.
