My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway in Temecula, and one of our favorite stops ended up being Leoness Winery. From the moment we arrived, it just felt like one of those places you want to slow down and soak in. It was a bright, sunny day, and the views of the vineyards were absolutely beautiful. We decided to dine inside at their restaurant, and it honestly felt like a fine dining experience without being overly formal or stuffy. The atmosphere was elegant but still relaxed, and everything was really well organized. The staff were attentive but never hovering. For food, I had the wild mushroom risotto, which was rich and comforting, and we also shared hummus and the Urgosa Farms spinach quail. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and pairing it all with their wine just made the experience even better. Overall, it was such a memorable stop during our trip. Great food, beautiful setting, and genuinely good service. Definitely a place I'd come back to again. It is definitely Yelp worthy

Went for the wine, stayed for the food. What a great restaurant! It is very bright and airy, and the outdoor seating by the water feature is very relaxing. The service was excellent, from our server to the busser, everybody was very efficient and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back to Temecula, specifically to go back to this wine, winery and restaurant.

Serenity was absolutely amazing. U go places and get great customers service. And u meet people that are just great people. She was amazing , warm, and friendly and I'm pretty sure if I lived in Cali we would like best friends. My friend is a gold member and she gave us gold service and then some. Thanks for making out 13 yr friend reunion super special. You are a true rockstar.. and special shout out to malakai.. be a Tigger every day and bounce that tail

My husband and I have been to many Temecula wineries and Leoness wines are the absolute best! Best atmosphere, tasting room, restaurant, live entertainment, and service. We have been treated like VIPs every time go go for a tasting or a bite. We love the wines so much, we joined the wine club. Excellent discounts on everything.

    Lunch with family cheers!

As a member of Leoness Cellars Winery I have had multiple lunch visits during the week and on weekends. All the experiences have been great! This great experience has encouraged me to invite family and friends. This experience has been due to the delicious wine we've had specifically the Syrah and the red Cabernet which our my favorites. As for the food items we have had the opportunity to enjoy the various salads and entrees. The entrees that really impressed us on the menu items are the charcuterie board salmon entree ahi tuna Chimichurri steak dish shrimp scampi linguine and the accompanied sides like the brussels sprouts absolutely delicious! Now the Ambiance with live entertainment combined with the surrounding beautiful vineyards absolutely breathtaking! All that I have mentioned has been great but the main reason I am going to give an overall five star is the bedside manner of our wonderful waitress Serenity She is aside of being absolutely friendly and welcoming but her efficiency with all our food and personal attentiveness I rank her 10 out of 10! I come back and hope to have her as a waitress definitely consider her an outstanding contribution to the Leoness Cellars Winery staff! Thank you Serenity for always making us feel at home!

This is how beautiful Leoness Wine Cellar Room was decorated.

My favorite winery in Temecula. The vibe is beautiful and food at restaurant is good! We came here twice the past weekend. Parking is tough in the weekend so recommend coming in weekday or early weekend. The first time we came we sat at the restaurant and ordered glasses of wine salad and duck fat liver dip. Both dishes were delicious and the Syrah was my favorite wine. For the tasting, they offer 5 one oz glass for $30. We loved the Zinfandel and the cab! On weekdays the member only Terrance is available foe nonmembers so we sat there for lunch on a Monday. The food is better at restaurants but the duck fat fries were delicious! Overall a beautiful winery with tasty wine and good restaurants food. Would love to come back here again during dinner!

My family's favorite winery! Beautiful scenery, quality wines, delicious food, and very accommodating service. We always have such a fun time here and can spend a whole day laughing, soaking in the ambiance and enjoying each other's company. We try to make a trip here any time we visit, and my family are members so it's nice that we get free tastings and they get wine to take home that we can try more of. The seating is always full but it never feels too busy or crowded. Valet parking is available or there is also self-parking on the gravel lot in the back. Definitely recommend visiting, enjoy!

Started morning here with friends from finger lakes region of NY whom enjoy wine tasting. This place was a hit with the views straight away. We were there at 11 and they weren't ready for us to have a tasting for another 40 minutes but they were very friendly and there was a shop and of course lovely venue. We had our tasting outside at the table and Serenity was lovely and served excellent red wines and an order of hummus which was delish. The only downside was my friends liked it so much nothing else compared! It was easy to get to and I will definitely return on my own again. Friends took home a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.

We have tried their restaurant at both locations the terrace and the indoor restaurant. We like both but enjoy more the terrace due to the ambiance. Being outdoor on a nice sunny day with the right temperature hits the spot. Their food we have no complains, especially their truffle fries! The service has always been great! And they have a good selection of both red and white wines. When you are a member you have your perks for sure. Make sure to call ahead to make sure seating is available.

Truffle fries are awesome and homemade ketchup is equally as delicious

Oh my God, everything went well! The food was so on point and delicious, I love their chef! The wine is spectacular! And it's so good. I joined the winery again while I was here.! Our white person was Brianna and she gave us excellent service and was such a nice and personable gal.! I highly recommend this place and I belong to here for over 10 years and I quit here during the pandemic and now I'm rejoining because that's how good it is! You also get 10% off in the restaurant and the gift shop and you also get a percentage off on your wines depend

One thing that stands out to me is how diverse and knowledgeable the staff is. Many servers are well versed about Latin flavors, and it makes the experience feel more authentic, welcoming, and internationally minded, which is very important to me. The winery itself is beautiful - elegant, clean, and always impressive. The views are some of the best in Temecula (I think they even won an award for it). I'm proud to bring friends and family here when they visit from outside the country because it consistently leaves a great impression. I personally don't drink wine, but when I go with people who do they say it's very good. I also appreciate that they offer excellent non-alcoholic options. Their cappuccino is fantastic, and it's nice that people who don't drink (whether permanently, temporarily, or for health reasons) can still fully enjoy the experience. The food quality has always been excellent. I like high-protein meals, and the steak frites with chimichurri sauce is one of my favorites. Everything tastes fresh, high quality, and consistently well prepared. Five of us converged on this winery around 4pm to get there well before it closed at 6pm. Ample time for tasting and food on a Thursday. After a delightful tasting of reds, I ordered a glass of great Tempranillo followed by a fabulous Zinfandel with dinner. Others ordered the Pinot Grigio, and we were all very happy with our choices. The food service was similar to some other wineries where you order at the cashier inside and they bring you the food. The Roman Artichokes were fresh and inviting. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was absolutely delicious! Loved it. Crusty, bubbly and the pepperoni & sausage had authentic Italian flavor. Not too thick not too thin just right. Julie's Favorite - a Margherita pizza with fresh tomato and fresh basil- was lacking & flat in flavor, perked it up with the parmesan and red pepper flakes. Cobb Salad was salad art and more than enough for two people. Polpette e marinara meatballs. Order it. Served warm in a little croc to hold in the warmth. I decided to do a wine tasting for my birthday with 2 other guests and drove from LA to Temecula on a Sunday. Arriving to the estate was easy, there's plenty of free parking spots surrounding the winery. It's quite an uphill stroll and some stairs are involved, but you definitely get a workout in. They have a covered patio area of tables that are either reserved or you put your name down to get a table on the left side of the winery, the middle/terrace area is usually used for private parties/events such as a bridal shower or birthday party, where there are 2 outside bars and sometimes they offer live music, the back area of the estate has a grassy area with small vendors selling jewelry and such with picnic style tables (no shade or cover), a gazebo of seating facing in my opinion, the best part of the view, and a separate location for wine club members. The inside is where you do the actual wine tasting experience, and has high bar stool tables and chairs for seating as well. Stepping up to the hostess desk, a man who worked there greeted us and very quickly told us what they offer and then walked away (had nothing to do with the check in desk area, so it was a little confusing). The hostesses had the same spiel to give, and I had mentioned it was our first time and we had absolutely no idea how to even begin a wine tasting experience. The explanations were rushed and basically told us to figure it out. We walked away towards the inside/outside terrace of the winery and were stuck walking around for 5 minutes not knowing where to go. We stopped by one of the outside bars and asked for help, the bartender told us we could start our wine tasting experience inside. Now was that so hard to help us navigate where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to do? Not everything should be explained on a script, most of the time hospitality and customer service goes a longer distance than formalities. We finally get inside and the women working the front for the tastings were really impersonal and standoffish. We finally start getting a tasting experience going, asked for recommendations and none were received or explained so we just picked random options and had them pour. Throughout the 6 tastings we had, each pour was a different amount, if the bottle they were using was running low, they would pour the last bits of it (barely 2 sips), and hand it over, vs a bottle that was more than full, would get a nice even tasting pour. We eventually wanted to order food, and before we even started the tasting, we asked for a table and the hostess told us it would be over an hour wait. We put our names down, they called us in the middle of our 2/6 tasting, which was less than 20 min. So we went to our table and kept having to go back inside one by one to taste our different wines, as we were at a table now and not just doing the tasting experience inside. Food was great, service at the table was also great. Afterwards we left our table and walked towards the gazebo area and sat down by the view. The most enjoyable part of our day just taking in the atmosphere. On our way out, we wanted to experience a different viewpoint which was the bar area with the stools next to the tables of the "reserved/name down" area. I very nicely asked the hostess if we could sit in the empty seats for just a second to finish our last tasting and take in the view, she told us no those are reserved areas and not just open for anyone to sit at as they please. "Sorryyyy those are reserved spaces" with a smile that was clearly not genuine. We understood, dropped our wine glasses off at the bar, and proceeded to our next destination. All in all, the service here was not great. The entire experience felt absolutely rushed, it was not focused on the wine tasting experience at all, they are more focused on selling tables and getting you to order food. There was no explanations on a quick backstory of the wines we were interested in trying, it was just like "which one do you want" "*point*" poured it, and just told us to enjoy. I didn't enjoy my time here at all, and I won't be back to visit, as there are many many other lowkey wineries that are not as highly reviewed or popular as this one, and they are a much better experience.

We've visited many times over the years, as this is one of our favorite wineries (and we used to be members). Howard and Roxy are always providing wonderful service and insightful information regarding GB's wines and food pairings. Typically, the tastings include varietals grown at the estate, such as Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne, with other varietals sourced from Temecula vineyards. They also offer three (3) wonderful dessert wines made from Primitivo grapes (standard, vanilla, and mocha flavors). These are a little lighter than most Port or Port-style and Late Harvest dessert wines. Each tasting comes with a small package of baked bread sticks or gourmet chips for wine clique members, and recently they've offered pre-made charcuterie trays. I always preface my winery reviews by saying that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. I always suggest that you try and decide for yourself. There's a large indoor tasting room, as well as a large, covered patio offering great views of the surrounding vineyards, hills, and neighboring wineries. They also have a separate area away from the tasting facility that hosts weddings and other events. I can't recommend Gershon Bachus highly enough for fantastic wines and great service.

Jeff poured the wines and explained the features of the 6-taste flight. They have red wines exclusively, and we especially liked the Zinfandel, Tutto Rosso, and Tempranillo. GBV is a solid choice for a wine tasting trip to Temecula.
