Very disappointing experience, especially for my first time ordering here. I ordered the orange chicken expecting the traditional crispy, breaded chicken coated in orange sauce. Instead, it was basically grilled chicken with orange sauce on it, which was not at all what I expected. The Mongolian beef was also very disappointing. It was extremely saucy and greasy, with a lot of liquid sitting in the bottom of the container, and the overall presentation was very unappetizing. I also called the restaurant to try to speak with someone about the order, but no one answered. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning. Next time, I'd honestly be better off going to Panda Express. Please listen to the negative reviews, I wish I had. Extremely expensive for trash. read more

My wife and I have enjoyed Leo's since we have been coming for 5 years. It's been our favorite place to come and also get it "To go". This time we came it was horrendous and I'm not even talking about the food. My wife and I planned on coming for her birthday so we came and dined in at 7:30 (they close at 8:30) and we got seated immediately. We waited 10 minutes with no sign of anyone to take our drinks but saw a waiter come and go multiple times, then a family of 4 comes in and is seated near us and a minute after they sit they get their drink ordered and we still have not been even looked at by any wait staff. After 15 minutes he comes back with their drinks and starts to take their order. At this point we are laughing and just get up to leave. Skip Leo's and go to Posados if you are in Lindale and actually want to be waited on in a timely manner. read more

We had severe different things including tofu pad Thai, spring rolls, general gau's chicken, and a steak dish (I don't remember LOL). It was all great. The servers were very pleasant and attentive, and food came out at a reasonable time. We were there on the early side of dinner, but by 7ish the place was jammed. I've been going here for many years and never had a bad dish. Here lately we've been ordering more take out and the app is absolutely phenomenal for quick and easy ordering. We asked the bartender if we could take a paper menu (from the stack of 50+) .... Being he can not read online menu but the paper with his glasses he can do. That way he has a menu at his house so he could make his own choice. The not so nice bartender said we couldn't take it. So we grabbed one anyway and well this bartender went out of his way to get the menu back from my dad and his walker. It was just not needed and wished I didn't tip his service. The service was great. The food was way to "soy saucy". First the sweet and sour soup tasted like soy sauce with a slice of carrot and 1 piece of tofu. (See pictures for soup). I had a Long Island Ice tea- it was excellent. The bartender knows how to pour a drink. It would take chrome off a bumper- excellent. Service top notch. Friendly, quite, peaceful. This was a nice atmosphere for someone stressed about shoulder reconstruction. Great place to take a spouse, date, or just relax. Sits at the far end of multi- use complex. I sat at the bar to maybe have a drink and get some food to go. It took awhile for me to be acknowledged by the bartender as he saw me then went back to do some other stuff. He finally took my to go order. I wanted a margarita and he poured it, not mixed. No salt on the rim and he didn't ask if I would like salt. It is premade and tastes like dirty sour water. Not good. Not your typical Asian food. Good place if you like spicy food. I've been three times and each time I wasn't overly impressed. The Pad Thai was good, but didn't taste like your classic Pad Thai. So it didn't impress me that much. Then I had General Tso's chicken. Taste was good but much too spicy for me. I was disappointed because it didn't indicate on the menu that it was a spicy item. I couldn't finish it because it was just too spicy for me. The last trip, I had the tacos. Not bad, but again, they were pretty spicy. What food was placed before us was either cold or cool - not appetizing (none of us could stomach the food anymore). Nice Asian restaurant in Lindale. Close enough to Tyler to make it worth the drive if you want to go somewhere other than the usual places. The food was good and portions were generous. They do have a full bar. Tried the Bang Bang shrimp. It had a little too much sauce for our taste but was okay. The General Tso's and Sesame Chicken were worth repeating. We tried the Coconut rice based on other reviews and our Waitperson's recommendation. It was Very sweet and didn't pair well with our entrees. Superb cuisine and fine service as good as in any city. Classy and Unparalleled! We had a special occasion and needed somewhere in the area, esp. on a Monday when many restaurants are closed. I've lived in New York, Boston, London, Dallas, etc. and would be very pleased to have this restaurant as a local favorite in any of those cities. Our filet and chicken were most moist and so very tender, perfectly cooked, with well spiced fried rice and vegetables. Delicious bang bang shrimp appetizer, a small but fine selection of wine pairings for the food, and the presentation of all dishes was delightful. I had been once before although it was probably 2 years ago. Leo's is about 40 minutes from my house so it's a destination location, not a nice local, easy to get to place. It was my partner's birthday and the restaurant she wanted to go wasn't open on Tuesday so I mentioned this. She wasn't "enthused" because she was expecting another Chinese buffet restaurant. I assured her this was anything but that. The food there was exceptional although more expensive than you are used to for Asian cuisine. With that said, you get more than enough for 2 meals so...plan on taking food home with you. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. The beef is so tender you don't need a knife. Honestly you probably don't even need teeth. The spring rolls are fresh and just perfectly done. The hot and sour soup is both hot and sour and is served hot as well. The fire rice is quite hot and tasty, it's also moist. Wonderful if you like hot spicy food. When we came in we told Kendall (our waitress and we WILL ask for her again) that it was my partner's birthday and she made sure that it was a very special occasion. I couldn't have asked for better service. My partner really didn't want to go that far for her birthday, and honestly wanted tacos (it was Tuesday) not Asian cuisine. After about her third bite of dinner she said we can make that our "special occasion place". The cream of cilantro soup kind of has to grow on you if you've never had it. It's a hard flavor to wrap your head around. First spoonful is "why did I order this", then a minute or two later you find yourself having another spoonful and it's more of a "you know, this stuff could grow on you", you wait a few more minutes, eat a bit more salad, come back for another spoonful and say "yep, this needs to go home with us, there's too much food to finish and this will be a great lunch". Try the desserts. Prepared fresh when you order. For that matter, so is everything else. Until you order it, they don't cook it. Fresh, flavorful, and you can ask for it however you want it. Want your steak well done, order it that way. And it will still be tender, just well done. Most foods are available with beef, chicken, or shrimp as the meat. Vegetarian meals are also available. I was looking forward to these as out of the $100 I spent here- was hoping some good came out of it and was dissatisfied. As for the fried rices- they're average and mushy. The portions are great though but you're paying for that in the price. I usually grab these when I'm feeling "Asian" and don't want the drive to Tyler or cook at home. 1 star for the fried rice I really don't know how they stay open. It must be that they're the "only" "Asian" restaurant in town or some of the folks here don't know any better about Asian dishes but you can tell it's both. We have tried this restaurant 3 times. each time was the same ratings. *food 1star- drenched in sauce even when asked to on sauce, and the spicy soup is so salty we couldn't eat it.
