Service was really friendly and the atmosphere was great we went for late lunch around 2:30 not many people on a Wednesday so perfect. Good specials. Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. We stopped here on our way to Caddo Lake, and it was a lot nicer than we were expecting. I got the Kung Pao, and the ingredients were really fresh. My husband got the Spicy Chicken Curry, and same - it was delicious, and I made him share. I travel for work often. I use Yelp as a guide to help me find the better places in a strange land to try out. That being said, I also tend to avoid cuisines I figure I can easily have as good of an experience (if not better) back home. This is especially true of Asian restaurants, even if they add the word 'fusion' to the mix. I also like to ask the locals for their best picks, as that more often than not leads me to hidden gems that might otherwise go unnoticed. Such was the case with Leo's. From the front desk at my hotel, to everyone at the work site, the answer was unanimous: "You have to try Leo's!" Now, I'm not easily swayed by one fervently positive review (the local Wendy's has five stars, for Pete's sake), but this was pretty solid across the board. I figured, well, why not. Let's give it a try, and we can always go somewhere else if it's not that good. I might be going back there again tomorrow night. And the night after. It's that good. I could not have misjudged a loyalty more so than I did today. This place is off the charts amazing, both food and service. Appetizers: We over-ordered here, but I'm glad we got to try a lot of little bites. The chicken lettuce wraps were amazing. The filling is extremely flavorful, and the lettuce leaves are enormous, yet sturdy and wide enough for an ample portion. The spring rolls were quite delicious; it reminded me of that happy, greasy, nostalgic smell you remember from ordering Chinese food with your loved ones as a kid. But, the herbs and veggies on the inside were grown up and a perfect foil to the deep-friend goodness. Tuesday is Taco night, and don't miss out! The wonton 'taco' shells are perfectly cooked (non-greasy), the chicken filling is spot-on tasty, and the slaw and sauce (chipotle mayo) condiments are paired perfectly. Mains: I am running out of adjectives trying to describe the Mongo Beef and Orange Chicken. The former: a sweet-soy sauce is caramelized just before the point of burnt to create this complex, sweet, salty, savory... dare I say, umami... flavor profile that is nothing short of superior. The beef adds its own element the party, being both tender and slightly crispy around the edges at the same time, yet without being overcooked. Divine. I would order this again every time. The Orange Chicken is not at all what you might expect; fresh chunks of all-white meat with a very freshly made sauce that is neither cloyingly sweet or oozing everywhere. You can actually taste both chicken and orange! The fresh peel helps greatly in this effort. No room for dessert; are you kidding me? We took about half of the above back with us. But, well worth every morsel. I hear their desserts are worth it, though, so make room if you have a sweet tooth. I love how I am constantly reminded to try new things; or, in this case, to try new "old" things that I thought I knew already. Keep an open mind and an open ear when you're on the road, and don't take the 'vox populi' for granted. Sometimes, the people's voice is the one you should be listening to. Congratulations to Leo's and the entire team/family that works there! Your outstanding cuisine and superb customer service are the model for others to follow. I hope it was just an off night. This restaurant was recommended by a friend, but I was disappointed in the order last night. The Bang Bang Shrimp was soggy and looked like someone just threw it into the container. The General Tso's Chicken was way overcooked and chewy as if it had been sitting for quite awhile. It had great flavor but the texture was pretty sad. The fried rice had so much soy in it that the salty taste made it unappealing. The spring rolls were just plain greasy. The only dish that escaped was the Shrimp Bowl and it looked and tasted good. For a meal north of $60 I was not impressed this go around. Maybe I will try again and see if it gets better. read more

I love Thai food and have eaten Pad Thai all over the country but this was disgustingly sweet--so much I couldn't eat it. The noodles were swimming in sauce that seemed straight out of a bottle rather than made from scratch. If you want refined Thai food delicately balanced, you won't get it here. I had the Fried rice & Teriyaki chicken. Also, an appetizer of the lobster wantons. It was very delicious. The wait staff was energetic and pleasant. The cost was a bit on the high side. Extremely Disappointed!!!! Our food came out COLD and our waiter justed stared at me when I told him. We had to ask for silverware multiple times before and after our food came out. There was no offer to replace the food and no manager ever came to our table. My food was taken off the ticket. That was the only positive. Drinks were not refilled unless we chased the waiter down. Don't waste your money or time. Really expected more from a restaurant charging metroplex prices. Ridiculous!!! read more

Excellent service, fast very hot food. The cilantro cream soup was rich and creamy, I failed to denote the cilantro in it and was really looking forward to that bright note. This place does not take reservations. 5 of us arrived at 7 and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We were actually seated at 8:30. Great margarita was 20 minute wait at the bar and $9.00. It's a tradition now! Each year @ Dec 27, when we can't stand anymore Christmas left overs... we order take out from Leo's! There's 8-10 of us so we get a variety: 2 orders of Sesame Chicken & Orange Chicken; 1 Mongolian Beef, shrimp fried rice & Chicken fried rice. The side orders of Lobster Rangoon & Crispy Wontons are my favorites. We are never disappointed, but realize now we've got different kinds left overs, cause this is far too much food. Ok we loved it. Pad Thai? Oh yes with crispy onions, tangy sauce, peanuts, browned chicken, and large green onions. So good. Orange chicken wasn't very orange but it did have a nice crisp on it and was good. The green curry was spicy but not too spicy. The lobster wontons looked good but we didn't try them. $12 a little more than I wanna pay but I bet they're good. Fun place and very clean. read more

Where to start? Well, I placed my order for curbside almost an hour and a half in advance, then upon arrival had to wait over 10 minutes on the order. I ordered Golden Mushroom Soup but got leftover Hot & Sour Soup from lunch ( I've eaten my weight in both and can tell the difference). I also ordered 4 additional sweet soy sauce for the Mongolian Beef and Chicken Potstickers (which I had to pay for) and did not receive. Just happened to find this small restaurant while driving through east Texas. Very good Asian Bowl meals, the Thaiphoon is very good-get extra chile paste. Soups are also nice. The restaurant is loud if crowded so not the best for private talks or intimate evenings. Would definitely stop again if driving through. read more

I'd rather give this place a 3.5 star rating. Alas I cannot. The service was acceptable despite being called sir my entire visit. (Just a gal in a cap.) I ordered orange beef with brown rice. While not always, most orange beef I've had is a bit spicy, even with dried chilies. This one was incredibly sweet, almost to the point of not being able to eat it. The spice would have cut that. I also wish there had been a bit of bite to the breading. At least part. Waiting for my check took a while, especially since I was the absolute only table in the dining room. I had to wonder if I had been forgotten about but at least one server could see me from the hostess stand. Next time I'm in town, I'll bypass and try another place. read more

Mm! MMM! Tasty, tasty! Especially the creamy cilantro soup. Pure light and luxurious heaven! The Leo's health rice bowl was so good, not heavy and greasy like many Asian dishes. Mongolian shrimp salad my mom had and shared a bite. Delicious! Hayden at the bar was friendly and great fixing our cocktails. We instantly noticed that our hostess and server were super friendly and had cute, bubbly personalities. With our Yelp check-in, we received a free order of spring rolls. While I don't usually way fried food, I really enjoyed them. My friend and I shared the Thaiphoon bowl and the Leo's Health Bowl. Both were incredible. They were seasoned just right, had the perfect amount of veggies/meat and were on the healthy side. I had some Miranda (as in Miranda Lambert) cab, which was unique as I was unaware she had a line of wines. This place is classy and just right in the middle of Lindale, which seemed unusual to me. The food was very fresh and the flavors were on point. I have no complaints about this restaurant at all. I tried the general Tso chicken with jasmine rice. The jasmine rice comes with a coconut flavored sauce drizzled over it, yum! My husband had the sesame chicken with Jasmine rice, that he said was phenomenal. We had Asian tacos for an appetizer and those were great too. It was taco Tuesday so it was fairly reasonable. The rest of our party had various dishes, that they liked as well. We had wine. Some wines you can get in a bottle and some wines are only served in a glass from a wine tap. The staff was very hospitable and I'm sure we will return to try some more Asian food. The dining room and restrooms appeared very clean and maintained. read more

Visiting friends and heard about this place in the local paper, decided to give it a go. Glad we did! Had the cilantro soup, chicken wraps and spicy fried rice. Spicy rice was on point, flavorful, not too much spice but enough to let you know this wasn't kiddie rice. Cilantro soup had a great cream base but needed more cilantro (a favorite spice of mine) - would suggest you ask for some fresh chopped cilantro on the side so you can season to your palate. Chicken wrap was tasty but difficult to wrap in the romaine lettuce leaves - would suggest that they use butter lettuce or some other pliable lettuce leaves. All in all, excellent food at very reasonable prices. You should enjoy your meal, I know I did! We look forward to returning to try other menu items. read more

We started off with the chicken lettuce wraps; yum-o! I normally only like PF Changs lettuce wraps but these are pretty tasty. The flavors were on point. Also, we had the lemongrass soup. It was good but it's just a broth. We also had the steak salad, shrimp and avocado salad, chicken fried rice and thaiphoon bowl. Both salads were great, the fried rice is pretty tasty, the bowl was just ok. The salads were so flavorful you don't need dressing.
