We enjoyed a nice holiday breakfast at this Coney Island. It's located off a main road in a strip mall. Parking is accessible and free. The space is large, welcoming and we found our area and booth immaculate. Our young server was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was served in a timely fashion - hot things hot, cold drinks ice cold. Very tasty too. My scrambled eggs were excellent, and not too salty. I ordered sour dough toast, and it was served warm, crusty, lightly (real!) buttered and pleasingly plated. Price point here is very reasonable. Lots of elders come here to eat. When I placed a carry out order for a pita, salad and other misc items, I also ordered an extra ranch. You'd assume I would at least get ONE ranch, but when I opened the bag there were no dressings at all. So I drove back to Leo's and asked for my ranch, they pulled up my order and someone named Lynn took credit for bagging my order. She then DENIED forgetting my ranch, and proceeded to charge me AGAIN for extra ranch, when I didn't get any to begin with. There was a younger worker there her name started with a S, she was so kind and tried to be helpful and correct the issue by giving me my ranch, before Lynn stepped in and forced her to charge me AGAIN. The management here needs to step up their game, because this is not the first time I've had a similar experience with carry out. All this does is make someone not want to return to this establishment especially when the food is just mediocre and a last sign of hope when you're lazy, all for it to be not worth the hassle with SOME employees. I have to start by saying that I've been to a few Leo's and have enjoyed them all. They have a diverse menu, and have something for any mood, and food that my picky kids will eat. This location was pretty busy, but only had two waitresses serving the entire restaurant. They were really working hard trying to help everyone, and also work the cash register. I have to give huge kudos to them working very short staffed. The service was slow, but this place was busy. The food was yummy, even if the meat on my gyro was a little overcooked. The kitchen staff looked pretty understaffed as well. It didn't matter though. The gyro was still delicious! I had a traditional gyro, my 16 year old had a club sandwich and french fries (he loved it), and my 11 year old had chicken nuggets and fries (he loved it more). Any restaurant that can make my picky 11 year old happy is good with me! I also ordered take out breakfast the next day, as I thought they deserved the extra business. (and I was staying at a local hotel) The waitress from the day before recognized me, and I have her another very nice tip. Get some more help there. The food is awesome. Just got to my hotel in Pontiac and wanted something simple for dinner. This place was around the corner. Pretty dead for a Monday evening. Got a Kosher Coney and a side of cottage cheese and peaches. Honestly for me the food was pretty bland with nothing special about it. The cottage cheese and peaches seemed a bit too warm, I expected it to be colder. Overall nothing special to write home about. The food covered my hunger but that was about it. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. Young girls giggling and watching their phones more than anything else. Probably won't give this chain a second chance because the food was so underwhelming. read more

After long day of travel and meetings opted for close option within walking distance. Not busy at 6p on a Friday. Grabbed a booth and sever brought me a menu. Pretty sure this is a regional chain and have eaten at other locations. Menu has a pretty typical "Greek" diner with a lot of sandwiches, breakfast, Greek food and other options. Server brought my drink and I went with the Lemon Rice Soup and Coney Combo(two coney dogs and French fries). Restaurant was clean if a little worn. Soup came out in a few minutes and was hot. Good flavor and cup was filled to brim. Rest of order came out a few minutes after I finished soup. Fries where hot, crispy and very good. Coneys were also hot, buns were fresh and dog had a nice bite. Coney sauce was a little bland. Service was efficient if unenthusiastic. Overall what I expected at a fair price. read more

I occasionally order takeout from Leo's on center point pwky (Bloomfield township/Pontiac) The breakfast ommlettes are good and fresh, the portion size is good. I order coney dogs and loose burgers and the Greek salad. The only thing I've ordered to date that I didn't care for was the lemon rice soup. Otherwise I would recommend Leo's. The service is decent. My husband & I have ordered food from Leo's on Centerpoint in Pontiac for years & have noticed their customer service has become less than desirable our last few orders. I wanted to surprise my husband with his favorite breakfast from Leo's plus a slice of chocolate cake for his birthday. DoorDash arrived on time but with a slice of warm chocolate pie. When I called the restaurant to see why pie was placed in the bag instead of cake the lady that answered said they didn't have cake. I politely asked why didn't someone have the courtesy to call and tell me then ask if I wanted to substitute something else? She didn't apologize, didn't offer a credit since the cake was more expensive and didn't give a reasonable answer for their ignorance. She only asked if I wanted to come get something else. I asked if they had the strawberry cheesecake, she said yes and the mess in this picture is what I received! Very unprofessional!! read more

nice people. quick service. i ordered the michigan salad for some reason - it's really not my thing but i was feeling adventurous - and immediately don't like it. why are there mandarins and tomato slices here? they're not friends. it's weird. then i finally got to a cucumber and i was done. i don't know what or why or how, but that cucumber was disgusting. i wanted to spit it out, but i'm a lady. at least it's clean in here so i'll give them that. next time, i'll try the lemon grass thai place that's a few doors down. read more

I've been trying to frequent this Leo's location at least weekly for the past 6 months. The cooks are all very good and eager to please but I find the pick up often disorganized and never pleasant. The cashier is hurried and often needs to be reminded of missing components to my order and I've never been greeted in any way. I do think the portions are larger here than other Leo's establishments and the food is usually of decent quality. It is one of the only restaurants I've ordered from that doesn't have a shield up at the register during this pandemic. Needs more dedicated staff to maintain door handles, tables, counters. read more

Weird experience. Leo's is usually a good go to for a solid omelet. I used to think there wasn't much you could do to ruin eggs. I was wrong. I like my omelet's fluffy but very dry. Somehow these were both brown and wet, which was weird. But they also had a burnt onion taste (no onions in my omelet). I'm guessing the grill was dirty by all the black bits in my omelet. Soggy dirty omelet was just not pleasant at all. I only ate about 1/3 before I couldn't eat any more. I asked for well done hash browns. They were mushy and barely cooked. I was on my lunch break so I wasn't in a huge hurry but I didn't have time to dawdle. The girl took awhile to take my order. Then when I asked for my check so I could pay (before my food) she ran back and yelled at the cooks (for the whole place to hear) that I was in a hurry. It was just all very weird. The waitress was very awkward. It was all just awkward - watching the interactions between staff and other clients it was all weird. read more

Love this place. $1.50 coney Tuesdays for lunch with me and my coworkers is great, plus me and my fam order out once a week, and it's either Hungry Howard's or Leo's, but definitely not in that order. I love Coney Island, and it really seems to hit the spot when I need it. I came here this morning after running some errands to grab some breakfast, and it was really good. The place wasn't to busy when I came in, and I got to sit where ever I wanted. I went with the French Toast and a side of hash browns. The French Toast was awesome, and the hash browns were okay, but good. If I had known it was going to be such a huge plate of hash browns, I probably would have ordered a side of scrambled eggs! My waitress was real good, and I really enjoyed my time here. Total damage? $4.65. Filling, tasty, and as good as I remember. I love Leo's! read more

This restaurant used to be excellent but is not anymore. I've been coming here for 5 years. My last 10 visits in the last 3 months are disappointing at best. The food is always excellent. The service is extremely slow. Food takes 45 minutes from time of order and this is breakfast. The restaurant is not crowded. I think they lost the hustlers who used to work there; the cooks and the servers. We will probably have to blame covid and our worthless governor for shutting down businesses while creating lazier staff. In all regards it is a frustrating visit and it's time to choose another restaurant to frequent for breakfast. read more

My all-time favorite greek salad with chicken is at Leo's. They're pretty generous with the chicken, and the chickpeas. The pita that comes with it is warm and a little crispy, but soft on the inside. I LOOOOOOOVE this salad! YUMMMMMY! read more

First off, it must be decent since it was obvious that locals eat here. Had several hot dogs here. What I liked was when you bit into it they had a snap to it. A bit of a crunch. Im from Chicago & I know a good hot dog. This place is above avg. Their kraut was avg but place was cheap, quick and good. Worth a stop. Says my son: "Five stars, Mommy, FIVE stars." Here's what I have to say. Everyone else is right about the service - they're either spot on or... a bit on the slower side. We've never dealt with any rude employees, though. It's never been a huge issue for us so take it for what you will. Personally, I lean towards the breakfast menu but I have gotten the loose-meat hamburger (loved it but pick something else if you come in here with a big appetite, it's kind of small) and the Coney dogs (probably won't get those again, the ones I got were too tough for my liking). My favorite is the Mexican omelette - very, very good. My son gets the French toast every. single. time. The French toast is good but definitely something I can make at home - on the plus side, at least I don't have to clean up the dishes when we get French toast here so, there you go. My daughter likes coming in here and getting hot cocoa in a mug - she feels grown up looking like she's drinking coffee. My husband usually goes for some sort of omelette and hash browns - they've always been good. Overall, great place to come when you're not in a rush. read more

This Coney gets the job done. I recently ate here during a stay in the Centerpoint Marriott right around the corner and ordered a gyros plate special. Someone needs to remind me the next time I come here how much food they give you. I always seem to over order whenever I eat at a Leo's. The food was perfectly good, the service was fine, but the table was a little dirty. It's really all you need for a quick stop for lunch. Next time I come here, I'll need to try their coney dog. I used to stop here all the time on my way home from work - Pontiac Public Schools represent! I would always get the Veggie Pita. Excellent pita with really good tszatziki sauce - yum, yum, gimme some! Other than that, it is your standard Coney - sandwiches, salads, entrees, desserts - nothing you haven't seen before at a million Coneys. We attended a wedding and needed some hangover breakfast the next morning and Leo's was convenient to the hotel. I was not hungover, but caffeine deprived and pregnant (read: Hungry). My friends needed some grease to soak up what was still in them so it was really a win-win for all of us. Our server was the nicest girl, super fast service and always right there with coffee refills and asking us if we needed anything else. I mentioned to her that we were in a little hurry (I had a plane to catch) and she was awesome about bringing out food. I had the 2 egg, 2 pancake breakfast with sausage links and a side of toast, and coffee. I shouldn't have bothered with the eggs, they were standard, but the cakes were awesome. Huge and filling. Very good food , especially in the last year or so The owner " older " gentleman is incredibly fast nice and prepares the food the best. Most of the waitstaff are nice with a couple of them perhaps want to be elsewhere. Can't blame them I've been in the restaurant business aswell. It can be Very stressful. I have been back to Leos quite a few times since this is so close to where I work. It is consistent good and fast. Most recently I was there pretty close closing time and ordered the gyro omelet )gyro, green pepper, tomatoes, onions, etc.) and added feta cheese to that. WOW that was great! It came with a huge side of home fries and a side of toast. I have had most of the menu by now and I really can recommend the omelets. The lemon rice soup is also great. read more

This is by far the worst Leo's I have ever been to. I have been here three times and each time our waitress (who has been different every time) disappears on us. They all sit at the table in the back corner by the register and eat and socialize. We always have to get out of our seat to ask for refills and a check. I've never had a refill without having to physically get up and ask for it. Also the servers are so rude and make it very apparent that we are inconveniencing them with our visit. I have ordered food from this restaurant many times, paid with credit card by phone (without a hitch), and had my daughter pick it up. Tonight, after spending more time than I thought necessary to make sure my order was understood and correct, I was denied the opportunity to pay by credit card. The person was quite nasty about it, and I was told I had to use Doordash or GrubHub. I had to pay a fee to use Doordash. The pick up option didn't work. I had to have it delivered. It cost more than $10 to get the food delivered. I tracked the order through the Doordash site. The driver picked it up on time and came right to our house. The food was inedible. It was all stone cold, and was clearly made long before the driver picked it up. The onion rings were soggy, the burgers overcooked with the wrong condiments. The bacon was overcooked. The grilled cheese was cold and the cheese congealed. I am so upset. I paid over $50 for this dinner, and ended up having to throw it away. read more
