    Sausage/egg kolache

Leo's Eatery is a new-to-Lafayette "upscale" combo gas station/restaurant/convenience store concept. It was bright, clean, and brand new. Super well organized coffee and condiment bars are nice touches that show attention to detail. The take-out food section has fresh fruit, family meals (pre-bagged) and individual bowls and salads ready to grab. All looked fresh and made with quality ingredients. We had breakfast Kolache (either sweet or savory pastries) and they were warmed. The bun had a very rich yeasty flavor. The egg and sausage filling was a tiny bland, but was easily corrected with the salt and pepper on the table in the dining area. My partner had the creamy spinach and really enjoyed it. There was a hige variety of swwet and savory ingredients in the case. The concept is your order at the counter, self-serve your drink and dine in the small dedicated area. About the the only downside was the harsh, brilliant lights in the seating area- it could be toned down several notches from the hospital operating room.brightness. We will definitely return for lunch or dinner soon

Oh wow. I LOVE this place. Been there twice. It's very clean. I know it's new, but I hope it stays clean like this. It's refreshing. The employees were very kind. Super helpful with ordering for my first time. One time I got a container of banana cheesecake from their grab and go section. AMAZING. I wish there was more "crust" but I still loved it. This time I went for breakfast before work. I got a biscuit and gravy bowl with eggs and cheese. You can put any kind of toppings you want in there. The cheese pull was sooo gooood, and the gravy is by far the best I've had that isn't homemade. It's really cheap for what you're getting. I paid $9 for this HUGE breakfast bowl, a serving of pasta salad, and a small fountain. Other places it would be much more expensive. They have single serving and family size grab and go. You can get a meatloaf and mashed potatoes if you don't wanna make dinner. So happy this is here

The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've had...light, fluffy, and melt in your mouth. Gravy could be a little more peppery but you can add more if that's your thing. We went on a Sunday about 12:30 and it wasn't busy. The waitstaff was very friendly and the food came out quick. It's out of the way and hidden but certainly worth finding! Will be back in future visits to Lafayette!

I had the misfortune of experiencing the worst breakfast in years at this establishment. I ordered…read morea ham and Swiss omelette, specifically requesting that my eggs not be brown. To my dismay, they arrived completely overcooked and unappetizingly brown. To add insult to injury, my toast was burnt to a crisp, nearly charred to a shadow of what it should have been. When I pointed this out to the waitress, her nonchalant response was, "It's kind of burnt," as if there are acceptable levels of burn. In my opinion, when the toast is predominantly black, it clearly falls into the category of "burnt." The overall quality of the meal was abysmal, and it was evident that the staff couldn't have cared less about my experience. While I was not charged for the meal, I wouldn't have paid for it even if I had to. There's simply no way I could bring myself to eat here again. Curiously, my husband ordered a similar omelette, but his came out perfectly yellow and appetizing, along with toast that was actually edible. This made me wonder if my request not to burn my food inadvertently insulted the cook, leading to my meal being intentionally scorched. After sending the dish back, I received not a word of apology or even an offer to prepare something else. It was a complete lack of customer service. This review, without a doubt, has to be the most negative I've ever written. Normally, I refrain from posting bad reviews because I understand that everyone can have an off day. If a restaurant attempts to rectify their mistakes, I tend to be forgiving. But in this case, the food was nothing short of garbage on a plate, and the indifference from the staff was glaring.

But then mine eyes doth glanceth upon the words "Brisket Birria Sandwich" on the menu, and I had to pivot. I'm so glad that I went with my heart. The Brisket Birria Sandwich at Ripple & Company consists of smoked brisket, white cheddar, red onions and cilantro, all melted and pressed between a roll, and served with birria consomme. You dip the sandwich in the consomme and eat, kind of like a French dip. Dip and eat, dip and eat, until you can't dip and eat anymore, either because it's all gone or because your stomach is about to burst. It's a big sandwich, and it is also served with incredibly delicious fries, which doesn't help with the stomach bursting thing. This whole meal is amazing and I would visit Ripple & Company just to eat this exact thing again. I visited with people who ate at Ripple & Company quite frequently, and they got their favorites: The Black & Gold Pub Burger, and the Cajun Shrimp Tacos, with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts. Everyone enjoyed everything. As a nice surprise, one of my dining mates ordered the Smokehouse Nachos for us to share, as if we didn't have enough food. But there's a different chamber in my stomach for chips and nachos, and luckily, that chamber was empty, so it worked out just fine. The nachos are great, with tender pieces of shredded pork, pickled jalapenos, a vegetable mix, green onions and chipotle ranch drizzled on top. The service here is great: We were seated right away, ordered right way, and our food came out within a good amount of time. The decor is car and transportation themed, with traffic signs and hubcaps hung up on the walls. Very fun.

Our table had Korean tacos, a brisket sandwich, and brisket and grits. Everything was delicious. The baked beans are wonderful. The queso is great.
