    Sausage/egg kolache

Leo's Eatery is a new-to-Lafayette "upscale" combo gas station/restaurant/convenience store concept. It was bright, clean, and brand new. Super well organized coffee and condiment bars are nice touches that show attention to detail. The take-out food section has fresh fruit, family meals (pre-bagged) and individual bowls and salads ready to grab. All looked fresh and made with quality ingredients. We had breakfast Kolache (either sweet or savory pastries) and they were warmed. The bun had a very rich yeasty flavor. The egg and sausage filling was a tiny bland, but was easily corrected with the salt and pepper on the table in the dining area. My partner had the creamy spinach and really enjoyed it. There was a hige variety of swwet and savory ingredients in the case. The concept is your order at the counter, self-serve your drink and dine in the small dedicated area. About the the only downside was the harsh, brilliant lights in the seating area- it could be toned down several notches from the hospital operating room.brightness. We will definitely return for lunch or dinner soon

Oh wow. I LOVE this place. Been there twice. It's very clean. I know it's new, but I hope it stays clean like this. It's refreshing. The employees were very kind. Super helpful with ordering for my first time. One time I got a container of banana cheesecake from their grab and go section. AMAZING. I wish there was more "crust" but I still loved it. This time I went for breakfast before work. I got a biscuit and gravy bowl with eggs and cheese. You can put any kind of toppings you want in there. The cheese pull was sooo gooood, and the gravy is by far the best I've had that isn't homemade. It's really cheap for what you're getting. I paid $9 for this HUGE breakfast bowl, a serving of pasta salad, and a small fountain. Other places it would be much more expensive. They have single serving and family size grab and go. You can get a meatloaf and mashed potatoes if you don't wanna make dinner. So happy this is here

The quality is good. You place your order as soon as you enter. We were unsure as to how it worked so went to look at the salad bar. It was ok nothing spectacular. They also had soup. All food in this area is weighed and you pay by the ounce. Reminded me of a hospital cafeteria except it was more expensive. I was never sure how much per ounce. A friend had the chicken salad sandwich which was on the most wonderful croissant. Chicken salad is very thickly applied. It was good not over the top but good also we split a coconut cream pie. It was on the heavy side a lot of coconut and not much pudding. I like my coconut cream nice and fluffy. . For a very small salad and the chicken sandwich, it was 39. Dollars a bit much.

Then the worker came over to check how our food was and if we needed anything else. Highly recommend the BLT or the BBQ Grilled Cheese. If you do the meal, get the parmesan ranch style chips. The portions were great! The interior has a small store and a dining area beside the salad bar. The restroom is small but has a baby changing area if needed.
